This is a tarmac carpark between residential/holiday apartments/houses and the beach clifftop. There are NO dedicated parking spaces for motorhomes. All of the parking spaces are car size and are not level, some worse than others. It is possible to park in the trees behind but it's not very level and only suitable for small vans. * Be careful if you are following a satnav from the N125 as it may try to bring you down very narrow single lane roads with low hanging trees. You have to drive through Olhos de Agua to stay on the main roads. There are no services here. There are services available at the campsite up the road for €3 which are very clean. There are large bins at the restaurants/shops carpark. The beach is a short walk down the road. It's possible to walk the clifftop towards Vilamoura but there are no barriers and would not be suitable with young kids. There are some restaurants and cafes including a small supermarket that you would have passed on the drive in. Most of the apartments and houses were shutdown when we were here at the end of October. There were quiet a few people on the beach. Some people were surfing and there is advertisment for surf lessons for €35 at the beach bar. We spent 2 quite nights here with another van. A couple of dogs were barking early morning. The police did drive in one evening but kept going. Its a perfect location out of peak season. Pros: Free parking. Close to the beach. Very quiet. Some shade. Cons: No beach showers. Some mosquitoes. Bugs/Mosquitoes. (They love us..) We did not get any bites but we had 2 mosquitoes in the motorhome that were dispatched before they could bite. They were the difficult type to hear and see but we persisted. This was a muggy late October evening with temps of 22 degrees during the day.
