Fantastic lunch, best custard we've tried in Portugal. You must phone ahead for a table, and Dona Lurdes will tell you the menu options. There is always two daily lunches - a meat and a fish. As well as the two daily options, you may be offered a third or fourth lunch special, depending on any special orders that have already been taken. The dining area is one big room, like a church hall. The service is quick and friendly. The lunch includes bread, olives, wine/beer/juice, the main course and dessert + coffee. It's a steal! We had a stew that was delicious, a bottle of vinho verde, the best pudim flan yet, and fantastic coffee, all for €15. The place gets super busy, so phone at least a day ahead.
