Melissa M: If you are wishing to teach English abroad, I would not recommend using this agency. I was teaching in Spain from October 2019 to May 2020 and was contracted through the ErasmusInSchool platform. At the beginning of the year I had to give a €400 deposit that I would get back when I completed the school year. As you all know, the coronavirus struck in March and schools were closed and have still not been re-opened. I wanted to go home but naturally I was worried about the deposit so I awaited instructions from either ErasmusInSchool (who never contacted me at all during the pandemic! My housemates who were contracted by the British council were contacted immediately and told to go home) or my school. My school started advising me to go home so I asked about the deposit and was told that they would speak to ErasmusInSchool about it. Then we found out that I would not be able to get the deposit back unless I stayed contracted until the end of May as originally planned. Personally, I found this absolutely disgusting and shameful. We were in a PANDEMIC, my school were giving me their blessing to go, they no longer were able to pay me my full wages, yet ErasmusInSchool didn’t want to give me MY deposit? I fulfilled all of my duties with the school, I didn’t do anything wrong. The school no longer had the money to pay me my full wages anymore so they were halved. I was living on €250 a month. My rent was €135 a month (not including bills). ErasmusInSchool put me in a horrible position financially and mentally. They should have had the decency to just give me MY money back in considering the extraordinary circumstances. So through this review I would simply like to warn potential language assistants about the establishment. In my opinion, ErasmusInSchool looks out for the interest of the schools, not the language assistants. The fact that I had to give a “deposit” at the beginning should have been a warning sign. In what other job is that normal? With that being said, I would like to mention that my school is not to blame here at all. They were very helpful and supportive. I feel so let down by this agency. Being stuck in a foreign country with such little money, unable to get back to my home country was the worst and most difficult time of my life. I view the fact that they couldn’t give me my money back before the end of May (and didn’t contact me at all during the whole pandemic) utterly shambolic. I am writing this because I really don’t want this to happen anyone else. Be very wary of looking for work abroad through this agency. I wouldn’t not recommend them at all. 0/5.

Eu precisava de um cinto para a minha máquina de secar GE, e no sábado não menos. Eu já comprei da Marcone antes e sempre fiquei satisfeito. Aos sábados, das 8h às 12h, acordei e comecei a ligar imediatamente às 8h. Recebi uma mensagem dizendo que eles estavam ajudando os clientes, liguei por uma hora, a mesma mensagem. Depois, eu era colidido a um voicemail central em algum outro estado e me pediam para deixar uma mensagem, depois alguém me ligava de volta. Eu nunca recebi a chamada de volta, não sabia para onde a minha chamada estava a ser encaminhada, quais eram as horas deles ou se eles estão mesmo no sábado. A minha única escolha era conduzir os 35miles da minha casa até à loja, esperar que eles tivessem o papel e seguir em frente. Quando eu estava na loja, eu disse ao cara, seus telefones não funcionam. Ele ignorou meu comentário, eu não vi multidões de clientes como eu esperava ver, não havia nenhum, considerando que a mensagem dizia que eles estavam ocupados ajudando os clientes. Eu não sou um cliente? Agradeço que eles tinham o papel, e eu pude comprá-lo. Mas e se eu tivesse feito a viagem de ida e volta de mais de 70 milhas sem nenhum papel? Eu sinto que você deveria pelo menos responder, me colocar em espera, ou o que quer que seja para que eu possa confirmar que você tem o papel. Mas levar-te a um voicemail central com horas desconhecidas é inaceitável.

O atendimento ao cliente e a eficiência neste local é absolutamente soberbo e eu não mudaria nada! Obrigado por me ajudar a alcançar meu objetivo de segurança!
