Melissa M: If you are wishing to teach English abroad, I would not recommend using this agency. I was teaching in Spain from October 2019 to May 2020 and was contracted through the ErasmusInSchool platform. At the beginning of the year I had to give a €400 deposit that I would get back when I completed the school year. As you all know, the coronavirus struck in March and schools were closed and have still not been re-opened. I wanted to go home but naturally I was worried about the deposit so I awaited instructions from either ErasmusInSchool (who never contacted me at all during the pandemic! My housemates who were contracted by the British council were contacted immediately and told to go home) or my school. My school started advising me to go home so I asked about the deposit and was told that they would speak to ErasmusInSchool about it. Then we found out that I would not be able to get the deposit back unless I stayed contracted until the end of May as originally planned. Personally, I found this absolutely disgusting and shameful. We were in a PANDEMIC, my school were giving me their blessing to go, they no longer were able to pay me my full wages, yet ErasmusInSchool didn’t want to give me MY deposit? I fulfilled all of my duties with the school, I didn’t do anything wrong. The school no longer had the money to pay me my full wages anymore so they were halved. I was living on €250 a month. My rent was €135 a month (not including bills). ErasmusInSchool put me in a horrible position financially and mentally. They should have had the decency to just give me MY money back in considering the extraordinary circumstances. So through this review I would simply like to warn potential language assistants about the establishment. In my opinion, ErasmusInSchool looks out for the interest of the schools, not the language assistants. The fact that I had to give a “deposit” at the beginning should have been a warning sign. In what other job is that normal? With that being said, I would like to mention that my school is not to blame here at all. They were very helpful and supportive. I feel so let down by this agency. Being stuck in a foreign country with such little money, unable to get back to my home country was the worst and most difficult time of my life. I view the fact that they couldn’t give me my money back before the end of May (and didn’t contact me at all during the whole pandemic) utterly shambolic. I am writing this because I really don’t want this to happen anyone else. Be very wary of looking for work abroad through this agency. I wouldn’t not recommend them at all. 0/5.

Este lugar é incrível. Você nunca poderá ver tudo o que eles têm em uma visita. Suas antiguidades são legitimamente antigas e muitas delas estão em ótimo estado e a um preço razoável. Eu amo os pequenos quartos montados para parecerem casas; é como um Ikea de muito tempo passado. A única coisa que é um pouco problemática é quantas coisas estão trancadas atrás de caixas de vidro. Coisas caras? Faz sentido. Mais de metade do seu stock? Isso dissuade-me de comprar coisas honestamente. Se eu tiver que pedir a alguém para me ajudar a abrir uma mala, simplesmente para olhar para um produto que custa 6 dólares apenas para colocá-lo de volta, prefiro não lidar com a pressão do representante de vendas que está ali mesmo com a chave do armário tentando me convencer a ficar com ele. As coisas podem facilmente ser tomadas, por isso entendo o conceito de segurança. Só não gosto do enigma social de pedir constantemente ajuda para abrir caixas de vidro.

Tried Best Buy encomenda online, pick up na loja. O site disse que o item estaria disponível em 1 hora. Eu cheguei na loja depois de 2 horas. O caixa não conseguiu encontrar o item. Ela perguntou se eu tinha recebido um aviso de que o item estava pronto para ser retirado. Eu disse que não o fiz pois o site informou que o item estaria disponível em 1 hora a partir da conclusão do pedido. Ela disse que nem sempre é esse o caso. Fiquei com a impressão de que ela ia deixá-lo assim e que eu deveria esperar pelo aviso de confirmação. Eu perguntei firmemente o que fazemos agora? Ela perseguiu um tipo do chão. Em cerca de 5 minutos um possível gerente apareceu e pediu desculpas por seu inventário estar errado e por não ter o item. Ele disse que eles teriam que pedir mais inventário para preencher o meu pedido. Eu disse que não, bastava cancelar o pedido, o que ele fez. Eu fui para casa e pedi um item similar na Amazon.
