We stayed in Bouginvilla apartment no 9. The apartments are privately owned and some are better than others. Our apartment was on the ground floor near the pool. Are only problem was the mattresses i the 2nd bedroom were the most uncomfortable ever. every movement was spring boung sound and awful.As there were only 2 of us we moved to the other bedroom which was fine..No air conditioning in ours..Other than that we enjoyed our stay. It was peaceful.

Carviero is a fantastic resort, and Monte Dourado ia the perfect plact to stay. The views out to see are amazing and its 5 mins from everywhere. Yes the hill is steep but dont let that put you off. Our apartment was amazing and very well furnished.

Great location and lovely apartments that are cleaned regularly by the staff. Reception is very well know locally so trips are easy to arrange. 5 min walk to the town square, loads of bars and restaurants. Bit windy up at the apartment in the evening but it's still warm, just no card games outside! Should be noted there are lots of kids in summer holidays as expected. 4 pools nearby to use and tennis courts.

Great sunset views over the bay of Carvoeiro. Nice to be slightly removed from tthe town thanks to the steep hilltop location. Room sizes were big with generous balconies, living rooms etc.

Great location, walking distance to the town, pool was out of action which was a disappointment, overall it was a clean comfortable apartment for a reasonable price.

Apartment is nice and spacious but while we've been here work has been carried out on the pool I think we should have been informed of this so knocking off a star for that reason

We had two units and both were very dated, comfortable for those used to 3 star and below level accomodations, mostly long term stay guests and better suited for an older crowd. Be aware different units may have drastically different finishes and furnishings. Relatively poor customer service at desk and like the town the locals are abivalent and unfriendly. Doesnt feel particularly safe. The same property management company has newer developments which may be better, but it certainly feels like nodoby cares at Monte Durado as it ages not so gracefully.

Super hotel, apartamenty na samej górze mają rewelacyjny widok na miasteczko i najlepszy basen, są bardzo przestronne, wręcz za duże dla naszej 4 osobowej rodzinny. Trzeba jednak pokonać trochę schodków z parkingu, lecz warto! Gdy my byliśmy przez cały tydzień był problem z Wifi

Mooi groot appartement met uitzicht over zee en het centrum van Carvoeiro, enige nadeel is de echt heel steile weg vanuit het centrum naar boven lopen, wel goed voor de conditie

Prachtig, schoon, ruim opgezet en centraal gelegen appartementen complex. Onwijs relaxte zwembaden, ruime appartementen met alle voorzieningen.
Top: inrichting; faciliteiten en schoonmaakservice.
Tip: douchegordijnen vervangen voor glazen wandje en nieuwe bedjes bij het zwembad. (Gele bedjes vervangen, zijn doorgezakt. Andere zwembaden waren al prima bedjes)

Offen angelegte Appartmentanlage. Wenige 100 Meter vom zentrum entfernt. Allerdings überhaupt nicht behindertengerecht und nur für Leute, die fit sind: Anlage liegt auf der Steilküste oberhalb von Carvoeiro. Kein Ramba-Zamba, keine Animation, keine Kinderbelustigung. Daher ideal für Individualurlauber, die etwas mit sich selbst anfangen können und ihre Ruhe haben wollen. Grosser Gemeinschaftspool. Appartments sind in sehr unterschiedlichem Zustand und Einrichtungsstandard. Vor der Buchung deshalb nachfragen.

Comfortable apartment. Very clean and well equipped. Good location with a view of the pool and the sea from the balcony. Children enjoyed playing in the pools whilst adults relaxed on the sun beds.

Un complejo con unas instalaciones muy buenas y unos apartamentos muy cómodos y amplios, muy bien situado tanto cerca de la playa como del centro del pueblo, donde están todas las tiendas y restaurantes (menos de 5min andando)

Needs a cafe/bar on-site and the 'no reserving sun bed' rule is ignored. Nice apartment but inconsiderate handyman fixing the apartment above at 2300 and grounds kept fairly clean.

Fantastic apartments set in a brilliant location. Hills can challenge though but then there is always a taxi or tuktuk. Well run and very helpful. Pools are also super.

Wir hatten ein schönes Haus dort von privat. Schöne Lage oberhalb des Ortes, kurze Wege zum Strand und in den Ort. Pool sauber und gepflegt. Sehr zu empfehlen.

What a hidden gem, had a great time and enjoyed the fireplace in the evening. It’s close to everything that you need with amazing sunsets. Not our last time staying there.

The service was outstanding! The resort allows customers to check out at 2:00, if possible. The front desk was extremely helpful and courteous. We encountered some problems with our unit that were addressed promptly. Our first floor unit had no ocean view from the living room but a lovely view from the bedroom. The second floor units appear to have views from both rooms. The apartment was in need of updating but was clean and pleasant. Although noting fancy, the apartment was comfortable for our needs, and we considered it a good value and a good place from which to explore the area. I would suggest calling the resort to confirm which unit is being booked.

Just got back from an amazing week at monte dourado .... great value, great accommodation. very spacious and clean. Good maid service and up keep of towels etcEach little complex area has its own pool area which was great and a few steps away from villa Good location etc but not for anyone with mobility problems as very hilly but great if don’t mind the walk or if you have a car . Taxi easy too and cheap if don’t want to walk but it’s not far from centre Would go back in a heartbeat

Me ha sorprendido y me ha encantado carvoeiro. Tiene un gran ambiente y tiendas en la zona de la playa. El apartamento es muy grande y confortable, con una buena cocina que es algo que buscaba. Tiene aire acondicionado aunque no lo llegamos a necesitar. Lo que nos ha martirizado durante la estancia ha sido una plaga de cucarachas que por cierto, eran enormes.

Accommodation good, pool small but nice. Clean rooms and towels. Up a hill so need to be fit or get taxis. Beach small so no good for a stroll. Not ideal for young children, lots of shells so footing hard at waterline with a drop of afoot to 2.

Nous y étions en juin, appartement confortable. Peu de monde en cette période mais je ne louerai certainement pas en juillet /août. Ne pas rater le petit marché local ouvert tous les matins, vous y trouverez de nombreux fruits et légumes locaux, le poisson très frais mais aussi très cher, un boucher très sympathique qui propose de très belles et bonnes brochettes et les fameuses Pasteis de nata, les meilleures de l Algarve (à mon avis ). De nombreux restaurants ou vous dégusterez une excellente morue... Bon séjour !

Our stay in Monte Dourade was amazing. We had two bedrooms and two bathrooms with 4 people so it was very big. The patio was big enough to eat and relax with a beautiful view of Carvoeiro. The kitchen had everything we needed. The swimmingpool was shared but that was not a problem at all, because it wasn't busy. The location is perfect! It's a couple of minutes to the beach and to the bakery. And there is enough place next to your house for your car. When you're staying in Carvoeiro I really would recommend this place!

Our unit was clean, comfortable and spacious and we loved the location and convenience to the town and beach. However, the in-room amenities were below my expectations. There was a full kitchen, but no coffee maker, dishsoap, dishwasher soap and the steak knives were blunt. Pretty nice bathrooms, but no body soap or shampoos. Our patio door didnt lock, but they provided a wood stick to place in the track and you could see daylight through a hole in the middle of the wooden front door. Finally, the internet was incredibly slow and we were unable to use most functions on our cell phones.

This is my second visit to this resort, excellent accommodation, exceptional upkeep of the pools, gardens and surrounds. Downside is the hilly location..a fitness level of an athlete in making is required!!!!...but Carvoeiro is still a quaint holiday destination which I would recommend to anyone who are looking for good food and friendly people.

Spacious two bed apartment with en suite facilities and a lovely communal pool right outside the French windows. If the apartment had been refurbished, in particular the dreadful bathroom and shower cubicle, I wouldnt be able to fault this place at all. Unfortunately, my kids and I found the shower cubicle/bathroom/toilet disgustingly old and dingy. Yes, they were cleaned every day, but they still felt grubby and gunky. I could only recommend this resort if you could pick the apartment and assure yourself that the bathrooms had been updated

Based in the beautiful Carvoeiro on the Portuguese coast. A clean well maintained resort. Staff very friendly & helpful. Tennis courts and plenty of swimming pools available. Short walk into town centre which has supermarkets, many bars & restaurants to choose from.

We elected to experience Portugal having never visited for any extended period. We found the facilities most comfortable and convenient. The accommodation was most adequate -- we came at the end of summer/fall and as a consequence the weather was a small issue -- cold during our stay, particularly at night, and we were not used to the cool! It did not deter us from our otherwise full and interesting stay.

Com certeza uma das melhores férias que já passei na praia !! No monte dourado pude desfrutar de um serviço eficaz no cuidado em cada apartamento, piscina, no condomínio em geral e sem falar com a tranquilidade e beleza desse lugar!! Recomendo para todas as famílias!!

Wir (Paar) waren dort 5 Nächte und hatten insgesamt einen guten Eindruck. Das Appartment war sehr groß mit 2 Schlafzimmern und voll ausgestatteter Küche. Den Pool teilen sich 12 Appartments, ein Kinderpool ist vorhanden. Eignet sich am besten für einen Familienurlaub.Ein Mietwagen ist empfehlenswert, da es sehr viele schöne Strände in der Umgebung gibt. Wem der Strand vor Ort genügt, erreicht auch fußläufig kleinere Supermärkte im Ort.
