O Wi-Fi está constantemente a falhar, o escuamento da água nos chuveiros por vezes torna difícil a água sair, o isolamento é fraco e alguns colchões já se sente as molas quando uma pessoa se deita, de resto não tenho nada a apontar.

Hôtel superbe. Déco intérieure très chouette. Nous avons dormi en dortoir qui sont très bien conçus. Sdb très propre. Les + de cet hôtel: son rooftop et son petit déjeuner excellent!! Le meilleur des vacances! Personnel très sympathique qui parle français! Je recommande vivement. Notre seul regret..ne pas être resté + longtemps et ne pas avoir eu de place pour une chambre à 2 (nous avions réservés le jour même, tous les hôtels de coimbra étaient pleins! ).

Alojamiento fabuloso . Para repetir . Muy bien situado para conocer Coimbra a pie ( aunque merece la pena volver en bus o taxi ..pues todo está en cuesta ) , en un barrio bonito y tranquilo . Muy limpio. Decoración muy agradable . Desayuno muy correcto con unas bonitas vistas . Personal de recepción muy agradable . Las indicaciones que nos dieron para visitar Coimbra y dónde cenar fueron realmente útiles

O melhor sítio onde alguma vez fiquei. A vista é linda, o pequeno-almoço é óptimo, o quarto é espectacular (super limpo, bem decorado e com todas as comodidades) e as pessoas que aqui trabalham são simplesmente maravilhosas. É como estar em casa, ou melhor! Espero voltar em breve :)

This was the perfect place for me to stay. Very good when you compare it with an average hostel. The rooms and the bathroom were really clean, friendly staff and well cared breakfast (this is included). The kitchen (here is also the breakfast) is at the top floor, here is a wonderful view over the city. I would absolutely recommend Penedo da Saudade. It added value to the days I've been in Coimbra.

Casa fantástica numa zona soberba

This is located in a quaint area with villas, up the hill. The building is nice and the rooms are even nicer. Being on the side kf the building meant an irregular room with balcony all around and classical system of blindfolding. The views are fantastic from the long balcony. Everything in the room is carefully selected. For the price it was a really great experience. The room on the rooftop where the breakfast is served is very beautiful, breakfast selection is decent. On the cons, I had to wait for the check in for 25 minutes as it was very slow for 1 person and 1 group ahead. This was frustrating because the check-in hours are limited, 3 to 5 ,and we skipped some attractions to be there before 5, which proved pointless. Also, it has a dormitory for hostel underground and due to poor isolation we were awaken at 5 in the morning on a Thursday by energetic guests returning from the city and loudly chatting and laughing on ground floor. Noise from the street is small problem as there is little traffic, but again phonic isolation issues.

Around 12 mins walk to the Universidade de Coimbra. Its on a small hill but can be reached comfortably on foot. The room layout is a little weird in which the semi-open bath/toilet is quite closed to bed. Breakfast is in a decent continental style.

El trato del personal es muy bueno. Gente muy agradable. El lugar, a pesar de no estar en el centro no es malo, pues con un paseo de 10 minutos se puede llegar al casco antiguo visitando algunos de los lugares emblemáticos como el acueducto, jardín botánico o la universidad. La habitación que tuvimos estaba limpia y tenía de todo lo que se puede esperar. Un diseño bonito al que se le podría criticar que el baño no tiene una puerta, por lo que no hay mucha intimidad. El wc y la ducha si que tienen puerta pero no están completamente aislados de la habitación. Es la única critica que puedo hacer. El desayuno fue bueno. Las vistas desde el balcón son muy buenas.

Sehr schönes Bed&Breakfast in Coimbra. Die Zimmer befinden sich in einer renovierten Villa mit einer schönen Dachterasse auf der auch das Frühstück serviert wird. Die Zimmer sind geräumig, allerdings ist die Anordnung der Badezimmer etwas unpraktisch, eine Abtrennung zu Dusche und Toilette besteht, jedoch nicht zum Waschbecken, das Licht funktioniert mit einem Bewegungsmelder der nachts dann ggf. den Mitbewohner weckt... Der Aufstieg zum Hotel ist mit Gepäck doch etwas mühsam, hier empfiehlt sich ein Taxi zu nehmen.

Lovely restored old mansion from 1920 but the concept fails in my eyes; hostel and suite doesnt fit. The clients dont match (party crowd and hotel guest)Noise level high due to 1. young crowd, 2. cobbled street (car every 2mins) and 3. non-existing noise isolation of the rooms (roof top is common room, so even hostel folks are walking in corridor till midnightVery tiny open bathroom, dry siphon stinks (problem in many old buildings around the world). Good beds, good breakfast as well.So even the upgrade to a suite couldnt convince me to return even my evaluation with Expedia numbers might show different: low value (paid around 80€/night)Good idea poorly realised - if you want to sleep, go elsewhere
