ostello proprio dietro il duomo vecchio di coimbra, stanze piccole ma abbastanza pulite, bagno condiviso, colazione a buffet (all you can eat). Una notte in camera matrimoniale x 40 euro.....un po caro!

Avant d'arriver à l'hôtel ...il faut monter,monter les ruelles très serrées pour espérer avoir une place de stationnement. Hôtel et l'accueil parfait

Good location if you dont have a car. The hotel says that it has free parking. Well, that is true from 7pm to 9am if you dont get a ticket. The parking in the square is for residents on the square, so the police can issue tickets at any time to tourists with cars staying at the hotel. We checked in at 1:30pm, but were told that we had to move our car blocks away to free street parking around the university--if any spots were open. Else, we had to go down the hill. We did find a spot, toured the sites, and returned to park at our own risk. We chose this hotel because of the free parking. If you come with a car, you are now warned. Otherwise, the hotel is fine and well located to sites. The continental breakfast was ok, but nothing more.

All staff were incredible. Our stay coincided with a holiday so it was rather noisy at night for 2 of the 3 nights we stayed.

La ubicación es estupenda, en pleno centro de Coimbra y rodeado de muchos bares para salir por la noche.
El sitio es muy limpio y acogedor, los empleados muy amables.
El desayuno no tenía mucha variedad. Cómo contra, no había opciones de leches vegetales y si eres vegano, como es mi caso, probablemente acabes tomando únicamente café/té. Este aspecto es bastante mejorable.
Por lo demás, muy recomendable. Repetiría.

Great location in the heart of the city. Pretty much everything is within walking distance from hostel location. We had trouble getting to the hostel in our rental car due to road construction. The very friendly and super helpful João Mendes stayed on the phone with us and got us there using an alternate route that GPS wasn’t showing us. Breakfast buffet was adequate but no fresh fruit or yoghurt. Hostel offers laundry service where the employees tend to your clothes and deliver them to the room when they are clean and dry. It cost us 12Euros for two loads of laundry but it freed up half a day for us to be out doing something more enjoyable. Thank you to Margarida who was also so kind and helpful. Only gripe is with the parking. The fine print indicates free parking, when in fact they no dedicated parking area. We were able to park on the street, but did so knowing the police could ticket us for illegal parking—we did this at the recommendation of the employee who said he also had to park this way. Overall, this is a great place to serve as home base for a Coimbra visit. The Old Cathedral is steps away and the world-renowned university is just up he hill. I would absolutely stay here again!

El hostel está bien situado y tiene su encanto como edificio antiguo de escaleras señoriales. Teniendo en cuenta que es un hostel tampoco se puede exigir mucho pero tuvimos problemas con los grifos automáticos en la habitación, que soltaban agua solo cuando querían, la calefacción que debe ser solicitada a recepción y no la puedes controlar en la habitación, y que no tiene ascensor, aunque ese punto no es muy importante. El desayuno incluido es bastante parco pero al menos tiene. A mi parecer es importante no llevar el coche hasta el hostel porque sacarlo por las callejas estrechas y empinadas que lo rodean no son aconsejables y no se puede dejar el coche en la zona por ser solo para residentes, mejor llevarlo dos minutos más arriba hacia la universidad.

!!SCONSIGLIATO!!
Avevo prenotato un letto in dormitorio via telefono, chiedendo il prezzo per 2 notti, e loro mi hanno risposto con un semplice "15€". All'arrivo ero convinto di pagare 15€, ma no! Dovetti pagare 30€, perché 15€ era una notte e non due, anche se al telefono mi avevano detto 15€ per due notti. Però il receptionist mi disse che erano 15€ a notte con la colazione inclusa, perchè se il prezzo fosse stato più basso non avrebbero potuto permettersi di includere la colazione. Peccato che offrivano una colazione misera e poco diversificata: io sono intollerante al lattosio... del latte di soia nemmeno l'ombra. Non oso immaginare per i celiaci: pagare per vedere gli altri mangiare!! Veramente PESSIMO!!!!
Poi anche l'organizzazione della dormitorio dove stavo: non sapevo dove appendere il mio cappotto e il mio asciugamano, perché era presente un appendiabiti ma era tutto occupato e fui obbligato ad appendere il cappotto sul capezzale del letto a castello (fortunatamente sopra di me non c'era nessuo) e l'asciugamano sulla barriera anti-cadute. Per non parlare del bagno: bisogna farsi i piani per andare a fare pipì. Ma un bagno per piano è una cosa dell'altro mondo? Giuro, sono rimasto veramente deluso!!
Ho visitato ostelli con prezzi bassi (ottimi per studenti viaggiatori come me), nel centro città, con un'ottima qualità e un'ampia offerta di cibo per la colazione.
Sconsiglio vivamente questo posto!! Per niente buono!!

Central location--next to Se Cathedral and around the corner from the university. It is located in the walled, ancient area of the city with plenty to see and do. The property is lovely with great staff, super clean, and modern bathrooms.

Melhor hospedagem de Coimbra. Funcionários atenciosos e ótimo café-da-manhã. Todos os quartos tem um armário com chave para proteger os pertences. Banheiros super limpos e organização de primeira.

Péssima. O Hostel fica ao lado de uma boate e o som só termina as 4 horas da manhã. Se você está procurando sossegp ou está a trabalho, não é um lugar recomendável. Além do mais, os banheiros não tem chave nas portas. Então, prepare-se para faze necessidades sem nenhuma privacidade. O café da manhã é sofrível.

Location is good ,near University of Coimbra . If you have big luggage you should hire a taxi to get here ,The distance from the station is not that far but it's located on the hill top ,For your info there s microwave and electric kettle for hot water in the breakfast lounge

Questo ostello è molto bello soprattutto perché è in un ex ospedale pediatrico rinnovato. La struttura quindi è invidiabile. La posizione anche visto che dalla mia finestra si vedeva il sé Velha. L unica cosa nella camerata al primo piano non vi sono i bagni per le signore, dunque bisogna andare al secondo piano. Tutto sommato per prezzo e servizi ricevuti è un ottimo ostello. Staff gentilissimo e colazione onesta.

It was an awful experience to stay in this hostel only for 1 night. Location is not good for traveling with suitcase (lot of stairs, bad roads). We have room for two in the attic. It was so dark room with little window and black curtain. Dust was everywhere, the top blanket of the bed was not cleaned, paper walls (so we can heard dialogues of others and bathroom´s glass door across hallway), mold in the shower, dirty toilets. Evening clamor and shouting from outside. To turn the air conditioning on in the room, we had to call at the reception. Breakfast was cheap for the price of accommodation. We are surprised that the hostel has such a high rating! So we really don´t recommend this place to others.

El lugar fue bueno,bonito y barato. 3 pisos nada mas, si traes mucho equipaje tienes q tener en cuenta eso. La ubicación es muy buena. Todo esta cerca y turístico. Si viajas con amigos está bien habitaciones compartidas.

観光には適した立地でしたが、駅からホテルまでが最悪でした。
回り道しても石畳、ショートカットしたら階段＋石畳でキャリーバッグは引けません。
しかもかなりな急勾配。キャリーバッグの人もリュックの人もかなりキツそうに登ってました。
一度運んでしまえばコインブラ大学も近いし旧カテドラルは目の前なので良かったですが。

Nettes Hotel in einer ehemaligen Geburtsklinik, das man aber besser nicht mit dem Auto ansteuert (super steile und enge Gassen!). Die Zimmer waren sauber und groß.Negativ: die Klimaanlage lässt sich nur über die Rezeption steuern, es gibt keine Fenster in den Zimmern. Außerdem war das Frühstück lieblos mit sehr wenig Auswahl.

Nos cambiaron de habitación por que la que nos dieron, una doble superior, tenía vista directa de la cama al WC, era un semisotano y no podíamos abrir la ventana.
No puedes encender ni apagar, subir o bajar el aire acondicionado. Hay que llamar a recepción para que lo hagan ellos y lo apagan por la noche.
No te limpian la habitación si no lo solicitas expresamente.
El desayuno es peor que el de los campamentos de verano.

ホステル内は広々としてレトロな雰囲気だけど清潔で、部屋も広く各ベッドに照明とコンセントありました。シャワーもトイレも多いし洗濯物を干すテラスもあります。
朝食付きで、朝食はバラエティ豊かで美味しかった。wifiあり。

La ubicación es excelente pero si vas en coche es una pesadilla, no hay sitio para aparcar, todo empedrado. Es un youth hostel. Relación precio calidad, buena. No está insonorizado, oyes portazos de los clientes, tampoco es culpa del hotel del todo...el hotel es bonito y original.

Bom padrão para hostel. Confortável, limpo, instalações limpas e conservadas. Também é bem localizado, fica bem ao lado da Sé Velha, a poucos minutos a pé da Universidade e da estação do trem. Se vc for á pé para lá vai encontrar uma extensa e ingreme ladeira que cujo piso varia de escadarias a pedras rusticas boleadas.

This hostel is recommended in guidebooks for the Camino; however, the staff are hardly accommodating if you are staying there as a pilgrim. That's the main reason I gave it such a low rating. Otherwise, the facilities are nice but service and hospitality of the receptionists are in need of improvement.

Consejos para peregrinos: No admiten huespedes hasta las tres. No hay dónde lavar o tender la ropa. Sirven el desayuno a partir de las tres.

Sufficientemente economico, posizionato bene, pulito ma un po' bizzarro. La nostra camera era completamente senza finestre. Quindi per riuscire a sopravvivere occorreva l'aria condizionata, che però è "centralizzata". Per abbassare o alzare la temperatura in pratica si doveva telefonare alla reception che l'avrebbe alzata o abbassata... ma per tutti!!! :). Non l'abbiamo fatto, ma penso che sarebbe stato divertente passare la note a litigare al telefono con gli altri ospiti per avere la temperatura desiderata

Un edificio muy bonito ,con mucho encanto ,muchos detalles en paredes pintadas ,el personal muy atento , muy limpio , situado debajo de la universidad ,en todo el centro de restaurantes y atracciones turísticas ,no vayas hasta allí en coche ,calles muy pequeñas y mucha cuesta ,mejor aparcar por la zona de la universidad , esta a unos 50 metros , sin ascensor , sin duda volveria.

Lovely hostel in a converted maternity hospital. Not the usual architecture you get in a hostel. Modern facilities inside. Breakfast was good. But...... This is a student town, so bring earplugs, really good earplugs! The bass line in the party next doors finished at 03:00!

Outubro 2019. Ao pé da antiga Sé. Sítio de muitas ladeiras. Próximos a vários bares.
Bom preço, funcionários atenciosos. Pequeno almoço simples. Estive num quarto com casa de banho compartilhada com outro quarto, boa mas gostava de uma limpeza mais intensa (estava limpo porém penso que uma limpeza mais intensa me faria sentir melhor)

Dirty and smelly. “Smoke free” room had ashes and someone’s lighter in it. The bedspread was disgusting. I was afraid to let it near my body. Even the Disposable plastic cups leaked.

Our first stay at a hostel, and it exceeded our expectations. Was very happy with the room. Comfy bed and a nice shower. Friendly staff, nice building, good base to explore the city from!Only downside is the amount of stairs to get here from the train station. It was worth it for us, but if you are coming here with a bunch of suitcases, be aware of the uphill climb you will have

Sehr schönes Haus, mit Stuck und klasse Wandgestaltung. Sauber , Freundlich , Leider etwas Hoch in Coimbra gelegen , sodass man vorher etlich Stufen steigen muss :-). Aber die ansstrengung hat sich gelohnt. Nicht weit zur Alten Bibliothek in Coimbra , Restaurants , Bars , alles in der näheren Umgebung

Excellent accueil de la part du personnel! Stationnement au alentour assez difficile du aux petites ruelles étroites. Si vous venez en auto, je vous recommande de vous stationner un peu plus loin près de l’université. Plus un hôtel qu’un hostel. Il n’y a pas d’ascenseur donc prévoyez plutôt un sac à dos ou une valise assez légère si vous êtes au dernier étage comme nous. Si vous désirez faire la fête et rencontrer d’autres « jeunes » ce n’est pas un endroit que je vous recommande, car les autres « chambreurs » lorsque nous y avons séjourné étaient dans le cinquantaine.

Bardzo miła obsługa. Śniadania podstawowe, ser żółty, szynka dżem, Nutella, płatki, ciasto, kawa, herbata, sok i może coś tam więcej. Sam hostel wygląda przepięknie. Pokój w którym spaliśmy był typu twin, łóżko piętrowe. Było spoko tylko światło było potwornie słabe, nastrojowe ale nieżyciowe. Łazienka wspólna, duży wygodny prysznic. Czysto. Drzwi do pokoju fatalnie skrzypiały więc budziliśmy chyba całe piętro.

This is an excellent hostel, very quirky with lots of character. Location is perfect, right in the historic part of Coimbra. It was pretty quiet when we were there so it might not have been full. We had a really great nights sleep and never really encountered anyone in either of the bathrooms during our stay.
Bathroom facilities were good and sufficient.
Breakfast was nice with a good selection of breads and cereals etc.
The staff were really helpful. They gave us directions, booked us a taxi when we left, and generally made us feel welcome.

Uma vista maravilhosa da janela. Quarto espaçoso e com poltronas, mas não tem cortininha nas camas e os lockers não são embaixo da cama e por isso são menores do que estes. O café da manhã é fraco, pois não tem frutas. Fica no alto da cidade, então tem que ter fôlego pra subir as escadarias (atenção pra quem vem da estação de trem, subir a pé leva uns 20 minutos, mas com mala de rodinha pode ser bem complicado). Os espaços são bons e limpos.

Really amazing location at the best part of Coimbra. The building is historical and looks crazy cool, and its been renewed on the parts that matter. Its a hostel so do expect the student atmosphere. Breakfast was one of the best we had around Portugal(at that price). One thing is that cleanliness wasnt top notch, but given that the facilities were shared its as good as they could provide. I do recommend

Wonderful place with helpful staff, willing to fulfill every need you have. They offer a very complete breakfast and a map of the city. The bathrooms are better than in some 3/4 star hotels, just wonderful. It only lacks the ambiance of a hostel, where there's barely any miggle between the guests.

Gostei instalado no antigo Conservatório de música de Coimbra e onde antes ainda esteve a maternidade da qual herdou e soube enquadrar alguns elementos inscrito nas suas paredes alusivos à criança. Integrada no centro histórico, juntinho a Se Velha e por isso um ponto de partida para a descoberta da cidade. Boa relação preço qualidade, disponibiliza alguns quartos familiares.

The hostel is situated at the best and worst location. It’s right in the middle of the old town which is great but surrounded by bars which is a nightmare. Students were out getting drunk and partying until 5 am right outside the hostel and we didn’t get any sleep at all. Stay somewhere else if you want a quiet night of sleep.

Me ha gustado mucho, el personal no son muy simpáticos que digamos, pero sí educados..El unico inconveniente es el aparcamiento , es zona residencial.El hostal es muy bonito. Ha sido una experiencia muy agradable.

Es liegt mitten in der Altstadt, neben der Kirche s. Velha. Sehr zentral zur Universitaet. Parkplaetze Sind sehr rar. Deshalb eine kleine Tasche packen. Koffer Sind kaputt mit dem Kopfsteinpflaster. Ca. Ein paar Min. Entfernt gibt Es eine Parkgarage. €10.- fuer 24 Studen. Die Strassen in der Altstadt Sind sehr sehr eng. eine super Unterkunft mit sehr freundliches Personal.

Ao pé da Universidade de Coimbra, boas instalações, funcionários atenciosos, serve café da manhã. Em virtude de uma lâmpada que ficava piscando e como era domingo não teria eletricista, nos mudaram sem problemas para outro quarto.

Adorei a experiencia. Decoração fantastica, classica apesar de simples. Funcionarios atenciosos e sempre disponiveis. Mesmo na zona antiga. Pequeno almoço saboroso. Quarto confortavel, bem isolado termicamente (apesar de disponibilizar AC nunca foi necessário ligar). Agua do duche com boa pressão e temperatura. Barulho da rua um pouco desconfortavel devido à existencia de bares na zona.

Fantásticas instalaciones, en un antiguo hospital maternal, entre otros usos, muy bien reformado, con mucho gusto y manteniendo los techos altísimos (me encanta eso). La localización es inmejorable, pegado a la catedral vieja) aunque eso por la noche pueda ocasionar algún desvelo si es día de juerga universitaria y deciden cantar y tocar tambores debajo de tu ventana, a pesar de las ventanas triples que tenía nuestra habitación (en verdad sólo se oye si el ruido de fuera es realmente fuerte). La ropa de cama y las toallas son muy agradables, de buena calidad, con muchos cojines, y la atención de los recepcionistas es inmejorable!
En resumen: ¡seguro que vuelvo!

Nice rooms. Breakfast was good. Shower was good, hand basin was like a public toilet as it was automatic. Noise from the street is really loud as the students are very vocal.

The beds were large and comfortable in the private room and the fridge was useful for storing food in. The en suite bathroom was large with a great shower, but the basin is very awkward to wash your face in - very little thought given to general utility. The kitchen is small and not very functional for budget travelers wishing to do their own cooking, but the breakfast is good. The area is very noisy at night due to university students and local bars. Take ear plugs!

Not bad, but a bit pricey for a Hostel and no elevator at all it's a 'pain' to have to "climb" to the 3rd floor... :-D
1. The room itself was good and spacious, on this point I should say that it's good.
2. The Wi-Fi/Internet is a bit of a mess, 1st it's 1 user/pass for every device; 2nd the Wi-Fi signal is plain and simple bad (-80db at best tested with 3 different devices); 3rd and last the speed of the internet is a bit bad too (sorry) (0.40mbps/0.20mbps), the 2nd and 3rd points combined was just to much to bare and I just switched the Wi-Fi off and used my data but that might not be an option for some, I have to say that this point is not a positive one.
3. The TV was very small, but for a Hostel I guess it's not completely bad lol, in this point I just say not good, nor bat just enough to be ok I guess.
4. The breakfast food was good and had many things to choose from, positive point.
5. The staff was very friendly and helpful they made a little mistake in the check-in but it was promptly resolved in the check-out, positive point too.

The hostel is in a perfect location for exploring all town and the University. Be aware that it does not have an elevator. The twin bedroom with an en suite was a little tight. Also, for some reason the women's floor only had one working sink. The breakfast was good, and the staff was friendly. It is very clean.

Sehr empfehlenswertes hostel! Tolles personal und perfekte lage. Reizende kleine bar, die man bis mitternacht für das eine oder andere bierchen nach einer ausguebigen sight seeing tour durch diese geschichtsträchtige stadt aufsuchen kann. Die klimaanlage wird durch den rezeptionisten gesteuert. Wenn man per telefon, das im zimmer vorhanden ist, die nummer 9 wählt, wird man mit der rezeption verbunden und kann dieser dann die anweisung über die gewünschte raum temperatur geben.

Great location in a beautiful building next to the old cathedral.
Didn't like the sullen, less than welcoming girl on reception who seemed to give the impression that guests were a nuisance. No smiles. Needs to rethink how she behaves towards customer / guest focused environment.
Also the bar area has the problem of a very noisy coffee machine. Poor breakfast, badly designed kitchen area and not enough space. Pple queueing for their bread to be toasted makes problem for everyone else. No men's bathrooms / toilets on 2nd floor.
Also understaffed. You've got the receptionist also being the barman and also supervising the breakfast and also cleaning. Unacceptable and greedy on the part of the owners who are unwilling to employ additional staff.

Beautiful building renovated multiple times over the decades but the essence is ever present.
The dorm rooms are well equipped each bed with its own light and plug for charging your essential device to snap shot this incredible town.
Highly recommend a visit to the university and climb the tower to give you not only an incredible view but also your bearings as this is often tricky to navigate.
Enjoy this hostel- they even got breakfast ready for us super early as we were pelegrinas!

Malheureusement, la bonne situation de lhôtel a aussi ses inconvénients: la petite place alentour est un repaire détudiants en mal de sommeil et les 2 nuits ont été bruyantes jusquà 2h30 pour la première nuit et plus de 5h00 du matin pour la suivante.... Cela gâche complètement le séjour.

旧カテドラルの真裏にあります。コインブラ大学も近く、観光の拠点としてはとてもよかったです。
駅からは歩いて10分程度。バスターミナルまでは25分程度です。
スーパーは近くにないので水等は持って行くか近くの割高なミニマーケットで買うしかありません。
スタッフは親切で色々おしえてくれます。
パティオもあり雰囲気がいいです。

Está situado en el mismo corazón de Coimbra. El edificio tiene un inmejorable sabor al siglo pasado. Las habitaciones amplias y muy bonitas. El personal muy agradable aunque no sabemos por qué nuestra habitación no tuvo limpieza en los dos días que estuvimos. Tuvimos que hacernos la cama y arreglar el cuarto de baño que con las duchas estaba mojado.

El hotel esta perfectamente ubicado para recorrer Coimbra. El personal del hotel es encantador y te recomiendan sitios mejores que las oficinas de turismo.Y la habitacion perfecta, excepto que no tiene ventanas, pero como solo fue una noche no nos importó.

Great location and great service. A bit tricky to get to by car but was ok with a small one. Room was clean. TV doesn't have much channels (only local) so it depends if that's important to you but for one night it didn't bother us.

Super Hostel, bei dem das DZ eher einem Hotel-Standard entspricht. Schönes Gebäude und hoher Comfort. Lediglich die Einrichtung der Zimmer passt leider nicht zum historischen Ambiente. Ingesamt uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen.

Das Hotel ist in einem schönen älteren Haus eingerichtet; die Ausstattung der Zimmer und des Bads ist in Ordnung, aber die Zimmer sind recht eng. Ein Nachteil ist es, dass es in der Nähe wenige Restaurants gibt. Zu Fuss kann man das Universitätsviertel, den alten und den neuen Dom besuchen. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung, bei einem längeren Aufenthalt ist es ein Vorteil, dass es im Hotel die Kochmöglichkeit gibt.

Estadia agradavel, num quarto partilhado. Limpo e arrumado.
Quase tudo perfeito so a almofada era muito baixa. E o pequeno almoço demasiado simples.
Ou seja deveria haver uma almofada suplente pra quem gosta de ter a cabeça mais alta. E no pequeno almoo deveria ter mais variedade e o local onde se encontra o pequeno almoço demasiado pequeno..
Mas bom hostel e muito agradavel.
