Alberto Sancho: The main mission of the Conimbriga Monographic Museum is to protect and promote the Ruins and the archaeological research. The collection is exclusively composed of the archaeological materials collected in the City and the current permanent exhibition presents the objects of daily use, evokes the monumental Forum, the wealth of the domus, the strength of its commerce, the religion and beliefs of the Romanized population and the suevo-visigothic presence. Noteworthy are the mosaics preserved in situ and the 'Casa dos Repuxos', which has a mosaic paved area, important traces of mural painting and a central garden peristyle with a lake and water games.
