The hiking trail itself is very easy to do. Well signed. Many birds to spot including the famous flamingo!

Beautiful place with lots of different varieties of plants. Would be amazing cycling and hiking trip. Make sure to take food and drink with you. There is some shade but I don't recommend on very hot day. I would recommend it to every person who likes outdoors and nature

Percurso muito agradável junto à Ria Formosa, ligando as traseiras do aeroporto de Faro à Quinta do Lago.
Bom local para caminhada, jogging ou corrida, ciclismo, observação de aves e fotografia.
Ao pôr do sol a paisagem fica magnífica, sobretudo no Inverno.

Quite boring. Description and images on Internet are much more promising that what you get in reality. Besides that, there are leftovers of civilization there and there.. which is quite frustrating. I think the local management could organize some volunteer work once or twice a year - to clean the place lil bit.
In fact, only the first part of the trail is interesting. Second part (along the golf club) is not bad, but there are less chances to see birds or other animals. Last part - is just walking (from the ‘salt mountains’) along the road, among water with some foam on it of undefined origin. I would recommend to walk the first part, and when facing the gold club - just go back.

Just the best spot for running and hiking. The track can have between 5-15km. You can observe birds, enjoy sunset, see palms trees etc.

Lovely walking trail. Left from near Faro beach -1 hour on the boardwalk to Quinta da Lago and 1 hour back on the beach to Faro beach.

Wunderschöner Spazierweg durch ein traumhaftes Vogelparadies!
Man kann hinter den Salzhügeln auch nach links weiter, aber am Schild, wo man nicht weiter soll, sollte man tatsächlich nicht weitergehen... Vorher geht es rechts zum Golfplatz auf den nächsten Wanderweg.
Es lohnt sich!

Schöner Trail entlang des Flughafen Geländes. Dadurch zwar nicht gerade ruhig, aber ein guter Ansatz, Industrie und Tourismus Naturschutz miteinander zu verbinden. Neben der Möglichkeit, Planespotting zu betreiben, bekommt man hier die Möglichkeit, Areale zu sehen, wo aus Meerwasser Salz gewonnen wird. Das Gelände eignet sich auch für Mountainbike Fahrer.

Wasn't anything too special but still its free and is a nice place to cool off and go for cycling. We found some birds and it seems that the place is/used to be a salt mine of some sort. There is quite a bit of a greenery in the area and we did find some nice places to stop while cycling. There was a fair bit of smell coming out from the water at some times :D

Vc é ligado em exercicios e atvidades afins. Eis um bom lugar pra pedalar, caminhar, correr. Vá até a quinta do lago pra terminar com vista linda do lago. Depois de ter ficado encantado com a Ria Formosa, claro!
