Very nice and comfortable house converted to apartment with 5 bedrooms, kitchen, dining, lounge, open balcony to sky gaze, on the major road of Loriga village, Serra Estrella, north Central Portugal. Very affordable for a group of 8 or 10 people.

A very warm place to stay! You have to visit Loriga and stay here. It locates right at the center of the town. Even though it’s a bit far from the main cities, it’s definitely a place worth to visit. People here are so friendly. We were treated like Anthonio’s old friends and had a wonderful time. Wish Anthonio and his family all the best.

We truly enjoyed our long stay at Casa Moenda. The home it's located in the centre of Loriga; a charming and welcoming town in the Serra da Estrela. The house was beautiful, large and comfortable. It's equipped with a functional kitchen if you wish to bring food. Our host were very friendly and keep the home running smoothly. We had wifi access and cable tv with many channels to choose from. The house is in the main square so you can't miss the towns events and festivals. Walking distance to restaurants, bakeries, pharmacy, meat shops, grocery stores and bank. You can also go to the farm market on weekends if you want fresh fruit and vegetables. Loriga has a lovely Praia Fluvial (mountain spring) to go swimming in the summer. If you have kids there is a playground next to the home. Amazing views, rural life and tranquility. The people are friendly and warm. Very accesible by car and bus. We also enjoyed going for hikes around town. Will definitely come back for another visit.
