Helemaal niet slecht. Gewoon plek om even snel Mexicaans te eten. Vanwege de locatie dacht ik dat het slechter zou zijn. Beetje aan de zoute kant maar verder prima.

Nice restaurant right by the sea. There was good vegetarian and vegan options on the menu and the veggie fajitas were amazing along with the refried beans, they were also HUGE portions. Staff were nice but a lil OCD about laying down dishes and presentation which is weird. Best Mexican in albufeira, will definitely return.

Everytime we come to Albufiera we end up coming back here. Friendly staff, normal prices. great steaks , including a sizzling steak at your table. Tasty mexican food. It can be busy in peak season , but it is worth it

Good food, good service, turn on the air con inside for us. The nachos starter was lovely and my burrito main was huge and tasty. 4 start as the enchilada was a bit dry and needed a sauce in on the chicken. Other than that it's a great spot for food!

Great relaxing meal. Friendly staff and quick service. We choose lots of different starters between three people that made for an excellent evening meal.
This is a must go place at least once (if not more) on your holiday.
PS they will give you sombrero's to wear if you want them

Si te gusta la comida mexicana te recomiendo este lugar. Platos deliciosos y abundantes. El personal muy atento y amable. Además, el restaurante está muy bien situación, junto a la playa, en pleno centro de albufeira.

Great place to stop for food when in the old town. The food is great tasting and cooked perfectly. Nice friendly staff also and child friendly. I would recommend a visit here for lunch or dinner when in the old town. I will visit again.

Richtig schlechtes Restaurant.
War mit einer Freundin aufgrund der vielen positiven Rezessionen heute dort und musste leider feststellen, dass diese absolut nicht nachvollziehbar sind.
Das Restaurant ist überteuert (2,50 € für ein kleines Schälchen Guacamole - falls man das überhaupt so bezeichnen kann), das Essen schmeckt eklig und nach nichts (Quesadilla, die normal ja gefaltet sind waren mit Sicherheit aufgetaut und ölig aus der Fritteuse). Selbst der Service hat wissend geschaut, als wir unzufrieden gezahlt haben. Definitiv nie wieder!

Fine average “European-Mexican” food with a very strong hint of tourist trap in the center of the city.

Sehr gutes mexikanisches Essen, vor allem die Fajitas kann ich sehr empfehlen. Das Personal ist sehr nett und man kann gut draußen sitzen. Sollte man nach halb 9 abends kommen, muss man schonmal etwas auf einen Platz warten, aber es lohnt sich wirklich.

went here with wife and 2 kids. food was amazing, tailored to the kids needs (not too spicey) , nice view over the beach. staff were very friendly and interacting with the kids. very good value and large portions. only downside was the long waiting times, was about 30 mins, maybe we just got spoiled in other places but with young kids felt like a life time :)

Hemos repetido y repetiremos sin duda antes de irnos! La primera noche tuvimos que esperar.media hora porque había mucha gente y mereció la pena la espera por la calidad, cantidad y la atención del camarero
Volvimos otro día al mediodía y no tuvimos que esperar, lo sorprendente es que el camarero se acordó de nosotros! Otra vez satisfacción máxima,o marido se pidió el solomillo a la piedra y ahora sueña.con volver para pedirlo de nuevo . Hay sitio fuera y dentro, fuera se está genial pero la verdad es que dentro es muy bonito y resulta difícil decidir donde quedarse

Food served piping hot, and service has been great on my 2 visits. Plans to return, nice to sit back and relax and sit around as long as you like and feel welcomed. Owner very personable and make sure you get what you want.

Great Mexican and Tex-Mex place. Best Margaritas, best Burrito. The mixed starter "wings-ribs-rings" for 2 is great for sharing and really enough for 4 as a starter. Fajitas not my favourite and the only reason I don't give it 5 stars. Still my favourite Mexican, though!

I should have known not to get Mexican food in Portugal, so it is partly my fault. Guac tasted weird and had odd consistency. Tuna enchilada had canned tuna instead of fresh. Staff was awesome though and provided a fun place to eat. I would go back for beers/margaritas only.

Staff were friendly but not very impressed with the food. Nachos over done and salsa had no taste and looked like they'd come out of a tin. The chicken fajitas were awful worst we've ever had. Again looked like they were last weeks leftovers no flavour or taste to them just slips. Lovely location just awful meal

Just finished a meal here. Amazzzzzing. The atmosphere, service and food were perfect. The queue of 30+ waiting for a table while we were eating says it all. We had potato skins snd mini chilli to start and fajitas for mains. Delish. The portions are huge, we bought our leftovers home still enough for another 2 small meals.
Please go you wont be disapointed.

We are always a little wary of restaurants saying that they serve Mexican food but this was possibly the best we have eaten. Big menu, reasonable prices and fantastic service. All the staff were friendly, working hard and fast. We left after 10pm and there was still a few people waiting to be seated.

This place is amazing, myself and my partner and sleeping son were passing by, and we noticed the que outside to get in, so we knew it had to be good. We had the nachos patron to start, and hands down the bed nachos I ever had!!! I couldn't decide on chicken or beef fajitas, so our waitress suggested to do a mix. The beef was so soft, and the chicken was so juicy! My partner had the chicken enchiladas and they too were amazing. The best food we have eaten ever in Portugal, and it's my 6th time here!

um empregado estava a salpicar a camisola do meu filho ao fazer um naco na pedra (da mesa ao nosso lado), literalmente a 2 cm das costas do meu filho, troquei de lugar com o miúdo e o empregado disse com maus modos que não salpicava. A seguir puxei a minha mesa para a afastar dos salpicos e ele deixou o que estava a fazer e veio aos gritos a dizer para eu nao tocar na mesa. Saimos sem jantar... todos os anos jantamos ali várias vezes e sempre fomos bem tratados, Infelizmente este funcionario era extremamente mal educado.a única forma de o identificar era o facto de ter uma tatuagem de um boneco no pescoço.penso que o nome dele é FELIX. Tristemente estavamos 6 pessoas felizes em família e em férias e ficamos com a noite estragada.

Tolles Essen mit super netter Bedienung. Mehr und besser als wir auf der Strandpromenade erwartet haben! Wir wurden freundlich empfangen und da wir als Familie mit zwei Kindern (10, 13) an keinen kleinen Tisch passten, wurde uns sofort angeboten an einen Platz unserer Wahl zwei Tische zusammenzuschieben. Das Essen war vorzüglich, wir hatten Spare-Ribs, die so zart waren, dass das Fleisch vom Knochen fiel, schmackhafte und gross portionierte Fachitas, einen Mexican Burger und einen Kinder-Burger. Das Rindfleisch zu den Fachitas wurde ansprechend in einer Grusspfanne brodelnd serviert und schmeckte so gut und so zart wie es aussah. Das Pattie das Burgers war medium gebraten und hatten einen leckeren Eigengeschmack. Dass das Burgerbrötchen nicht selbstgemacht war kann ich bei einem mexikanischen Restaurant an der Strandpromenade verzeihen deshalb dafür keine Abzug. Unser Erwartungen wurden jedenfalls übererfüllt, deshalb 5 Sterne und ein grosses Dankeschön!

Comida muy buena pero tanto los nachos como las fajitas excesivamente picantes. Pero muy bueno y rico todo. Como aspecto negativo tuvimos que esperar un buen rato en la cola y resaltar que pedimos las fajitas y vinieron (lechuga salsa queso y guacamole) con muy poca cantidad, le pedimos al camarero q trajera más. Como aspecto positivo, así hizo, nos trajo más cantidad para las fajitas. Muy bueno todo.

Sitio tranquilo, la comida muy rica y casera. El tamaño de los platos es grande. Quizá la única pega que pedí un vaso de agua y me trajeron un botellín de 33 cl y lo cobraron a 1'50. Salvo eso, el sitio limpio e insisto en comida sabrosa y abundante, volvería a ir!

Absolutely loved the food here as well as the friendly staff. We did have to wait a little for a table, the place isn't huge and during peak season this is to be expected. Whilst in the queue, you can order a drink to keep you cool while you wait! The staff do their best to keep the tables moving without being pushy. I did try another tex-mex style restaurant while in Albufeira and this place is a million times better. Fajitas and enchiladas were excellent as were the potato skins for starters.

What can I say about this restaurant, it is amazing. Starters came out in god time, very filling nachos with two layers of cheese. For drinks we got two jugs of Margarita’s between two, quite a good amount given in the jug. The main was roasting hot, very nice food and good portions. I would recommend coming to this restaurant if you are in Albuferia!

I really liked the food but found the portions we're absolutely HUGE. Felt so guilty sending so much food back but was just so full and couldn't eat anymore. What came out as a nachos starter would have been enough for 2 to share as a main but I can only speak for myself. Chili con carne main was so tasty but again too big. Felt it was reasonably priced. Would happily have paid same price for smaller portion. Nice fun atmosphere. Air con upstairs was helpful! Ladies' toilets were spotless.

Wir hatten als Vorspeise überbackene nachos mit jalapenos und als Hauptgang einmal Chili con Carmen und einmal überbackene burrito. Beides war okay Aber nicht außergewöhnlich. Der Service war sehr freundlich und ist hervorzuheben. Das Essen lag jedoch etwas schwer im Magen. Frisch kam es einem nicht vor.

Os empregados são super simpáticos. As entradas e bebidas foram muito rápidas mas a comida demorou imenso e quando chegou às fajitas vinham tão salgadas que ficámos mal dispostos, não comemos nem metade e pior é que o meu namorado acabou por vomitar. Não recomendo mesmo nada.

A comida estava excelente, os burritos eram simplesmente deliciosos! As bebidas alcoolicas são um pouco caras e o serviço um pouco lento mas os funcionários são muito simpáticos e prestáveis. O menu descreve bem os ingredientes de cada prato, para quem não conhece as comidas mexicanas. Decoração agradável. Preços médios/elevados mas que valem a pena sem dúvida!

Super friendly staff, excellent food, reasonable prices, I had the burritos for my main, very tasty, served with rice, sweetcorn and refried beans. It was a little spicy for my taste but it was still delicious. We had a 3 course meal each plus drinks and it came to less than €60. Definitely worth a visit!

A really great experience overall, greeted and sat straight away, waiting staff were very friendly and chatty, a more personal touch rather than going through the motions. The food was simply awesome, I had the stuffed bell pepper to start which was superb, followed by the chicken fajitas which I must say, were some of the best I've had. When my plate became rather messy the waiter changed it out for a clean one, it's the little things right! Highly recommend.

Went here for lunch and really enjoyed the burritos and pina colada. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and a fair price for the location.

More quietly than the rest of the old town of Albufeira. The food was excellent, but a minor flaw was the waiting for the check! But very good all together!

It is called Mi Sombrero. The veggie burrito I had was nice, the staff is very friendly. Prices are ok considering you have ocean view from outside.

Nice restaurant in mexican style with nice people working there and really awesome food! It was for the first time I tried mexican food, but thanks to this experience not for last time. Thank you! ;-)

This place is actually called mi sombrero, but it is amazing. The food was absolutely delicious. The margaritas were excellent. And after we finished we asked if they did to go margaritas for the beach and they made us a jug and poured.it into plastic cups so we could bring it with! Also, as a vegetarian, i really loved having multiple options on the menu. I wish i could go back all the time.

Mixed feelings about this Mexican restaurant.
On arrival we were kept waiting even though there were tables prepared and available, the waiter's walked right past us and in so doing gave us the clear impression that we weren't welcome, especially as other couples were seated and treated in a far more welcoming manner, we watched as other diners received first class service whilst we were largely ignored and were clearly kept waiting for everything from being seated right through to receiving the bill..
On a positive note the food was first class; however we won't be coming back because good manners cost absolutely nothing, there are plenty of decent restaurants in the old town of albufeira and we will be giving our hard earned wages to such types instead of paying to be insulted by the staff at Mi Sombrero..
After being kept waiting ten minutes for the bill while two other diners and another couple who we made friends with asked for their's AFTER us and were long gone as' we once again politely asked for the bill for the third time.
When we eventually paid the bill the waiter simply gave me my receipt and turned and walked away without a single word, this same waiter was extremely friendly and polite to the other diners during their meals and thanked them for visiting the restaurant as they left.
Being a polite and courteous gentleman I did have a quiet word with the waiter as we left our table, I told him "The food in your Mexican restaurant is fantastic, however your treatment of me in particular was disgraceful, you have come across in a manner that says I am not welcome in your restaurant, you need to work on your interpersonal skills towards a decent and polite member of the public who chose your establishment to dine out".. All I received was an arrogant smirk which pretty much confirmed all of the above..
Both my wife and I were constantly polite and also smartly dressed, there was no legitimate excuse or reason for how I/we were treated that evening.
However; I (and my wife) know exactly why I was treated in this way (and so do they), I need say no more.
