I was expecting a very nice Portuguese meal but we were left very disappointed. He pushed the specials - and I know why, it was very expensive! The food was not great and I wouldn’t go back. They didn’t even apologise for the dry hard king prawns (re-heated?) and charged us for the expensive olives that we didn’t even ask for that came with the bread and butter. Pretty shocking really. Avoid.

Dommage pousse à la consommation. Vous pensez que les tapas sont offert en entrée mais en fait tout est facturé. Ils arrivent avec les assiettes que vous n avez pas commandé et vous pensez que ce sont les tapas de bienvenue. Attention , ne vous laissez pas prendre sinon repas correct

Very good service but the food was shocking. My wife had the lasagne, which was worse than any frozen supermarket offering, totally lacking meat content. I had the sirloin steak served with chips and vegetables. The chips were frozen and not cooked and it came with cold rice no vegetables to be seen. When the bill arrived we were charged €4 for 4 slices of bread and €4 for 2 supermarket pots of pate. Will definitely not be returning

Experience we had was really average. Pizza was soft and seasoned with dry herbs. Chips that came with our chicken were crispy all the way to the middle, meaning they were overfried as hell. It filled us up, but we wouldn't return.

One of the best restaurants in Albufeira and probably in the algarve. Very good, fresh food, nice and cosy atmosphere. Very friendly and service-minded, motivated staff! Thank you Tiago, Davide and Max for the lovely evenings!!!

The food was very noice and the waiters were kind giving us discount on the large beers. However, there were some strange complications with the bill as we were charged for two salads that we never had, and also charged €1.90 per person for complimentary starters (bread, olives, carrots) that we had never asked for.

Typical Portuguese Restaurant, super friendly, efficient staff and superb standard of food. Had the Fresh fish Cataplana which along with this establishment has to be highly recommended.

The best meal I have in my two weeks of being here in Portugal, the owner and staff gave the warmest of welcomes brilliant service would come back most definitely! The food 10/10 there is no need to look for any other restaurant in the Albufeira area!

We are frequent holiday makers to Albufeira but first time here and we would go again. Fabulous attentive staff, superb food and the dessert menu is very good. We sat outside on a warm evening, they were busy but the service was brilliant .

Sehr gutes Restaurant. Super leckere portugiesische Küche und ein rund um toller Service. Besonders kann ich die Fischgerichte empfehlen mit einer hausgemachten Sangria. Wer dann noch Platz für eine Nachspeise hat, sollte Petit Gateau probieren.

We had a very good traditional seafood dish with a nice wine. The price is reasonable for the quality of the food. The staff is very friendly. The outside area is cozy, just a bit loud because of the street.

Walked pass this restaurant a few times on our holiday in May and one day decided to pop in. The food was delicious and the service excellent. We enjoyed it that much we went for a second time the evening after. We're hope that it will be open on our next visit in Nov.

This is by far the best restaurant in New Town Albufera. Family owned and managed. Staff great. Menu varied. Food magnificent. You must go there. Get the house red.

Having visited this place twice, I had hoped to leave a higher review but inconsistency in service has left a bit of a sour aftertaste.
The food: Really high quality food, modest portion sizes.
Service: First visit we got told the specials, asked whether we wanted meat or fish and felt welcomed.
Second time, we were just handed the menu in a rush and left for a long time as if we didn't matter.
While all very friendly, they seem understaffed. We had to wait 10/15 minutes to get asked if we wanted a drink and the same length of time to pay despite asking three separate members of staff for the bill. We sat there feeling a bit forgotten.
Overall: First time excellent, second time we decided to not come back. Quality food, poor on service.

First visit and probably our last, service was slow, not busy only 8 people in, but 4 different waiters, making too much noise between them selves. Serving size big. But lacked quality.

Stopped here on the way back to our hotel.
Our waiter was absolutely brilliant and not only did he serve us well but he also helped me with my Portuguese translation
Plus during happy hour the beer is extremely well priced so really is worth a stop.
The fish delivery hadn't arrived until we were about to leave so I can't comment on the food but all I can say is that it's really fresh.

The mrs and me visited ,very small restaurant excellent staff very informative and attentive. The food was excellent I had Portuguese steak lovely, even though it looked a expensive place the prices were very reasonable for food and drink.

Tiago and David were absolutely wonderful to us during our multiple visits to the restaurant. The service was amazing, they gave us advice and tips on what to do in the surrounding area which we found extremely helpful. The food was definitely worthy of 5 stars as well, the seafood was amazing as well as the steaks and starters. If you are looking for a true Portuguese meal, the Cataplanas Algarve here is amazing.

Restaurante de 10, la comida buenísima, recomiendo "Cataplan" plato típico portugués, se nota la calidad!!! Y los trabajadores muy amables, incluso el propietario estuvo muy pendiente para que todo estuviera a nuestro gusto! Volveré sin duda!

Dit was een kleine teleurstelling tijdens onze vakantie. Duurde erg lang voordat we dranken konden bestellen alleen de wijn die wij wouden bestellen was er niet meer. Als voorgerecht champignons in knoflook saus en knoflookbrood gehad. Daarna de Portugese steak en inktvis en garnalen kebab besteld. Helaas was er ook geen inktvis meer dus adviseerde ze een kip kebab. Dit viel erg tegen maar de Portugese steak is wel een aanrader. De prijs viel ons ook tegen, dit was het duurste diner van onze vakantie.

What a wonderful experience. These hosts are so helpful and very friendly. We ended up going back every night and loved everything I had. Highly recommended. Also found a great wine that was recommended to us by then. Going back again tonight. Our last night here. :(

It's truely remarkable when you find a place that treats you like family. Everyone there was amazing and the food was fantastic. Highly recommended. We went there every night for dinner, and was never disappointed.

What a wonderful place, I recommend it with no hesitation. Delicious food, which was enough to made us go every single night for dinner. I loved the Bife a portuguesa, the shrimp & calamari kebab, arroz de tamboril!!!
The staff super friendly and professional, Diogo is exceptional and made really helpful recommendations regarding the menu and drink choices.
Cannot wait to go back!
