We went into the restaurant with no experience nor expectations. We asked the waiter to help us pick something for us and he recommended us two items. The chicken shashlik and lamb kadai and I was so taken back by how good it was. Especially the chicken shashlik with the saus. I'd recommend it to everyone to try it out

It was ok. The chicken jalfrezi we ordered had too much color in it it was bright red. Dal was very tasty. I would go here only if I do not have to many options

Great food and staff really friendly as you can't find anywhere else. Had Lamb Jahlfrezi and can strongly recommend it.

Excellent food, we live in Praia da Luz and came on invitation.. Worth the trip, excellent service, nice people.. They just opened, so not busy yet, they deserve to get a full house.. Keep on going monir and staff..

Very friendly waitstaff, gave some good recommendations. We had the mixed starter which was tasty. For main, we chose butter chicken, aloo gobi and lamb balti, all were really good and chockful of flavour. The pilau rice was okay. Garlic naan was a total disappointment, very doughy and the center felt like it was not cooked at all, did not taste as naan at all. We asked if they use a tandoori oven, they confirmed they did, but it made us wonder if the oven was fully on.
All in all, good value for money and tasty food. Just stay away from the naan bread.

Good place for a spot of cheap lunch. All inclusive menu for 8.50 including popadom, main dish, naan & rice and a drink. Friendly staff too.

We visit a lot of indian restaurants. This one offers excellent food. Very tastefull. Also the mango lassie was good. Friendly people and very acceptable price level. I will go there again!

We were served by Sala who expertly advised us on what curries we would enjoy and he got it spot on. We could not believe how fabulous the food was, even the Popadums tasted extra nice! I had a fish bhuna which had a slight smoky taste but not too spicy. It was my father's birthday on the second time we went and they had organised a cake for him, really gone the extra mile. It was a great experience.

FOR the staff Zero because they not have proper dress and any language..
This area is good and nice but they doesnt know how to work and they never respect the coustmers
Most important thing is they are not indian they are from bangladesh..They know only fish and rice eating with hands and they not have any indian style food and resturent..
They never know how to make curry...
Near this resturent has a masala house indian resturent ( on the same road) they have everything exelent.in my opinion masala house is best rather than papdum..

Not good at all..staff is very rudely,,we visit there and they ask what do you need..They have no sense how to talk with a coustmer..I recommend to all not go there..Today I meet a lady,,she is from England,she also doesn't like them.she tells me they are not good..Nobody like to go there.very rude staff..and the food is uhhhhhh...

Surprisingly good, tasty food! The Staff is very attentive. I had saag paneer and loved it! Not very hot but super tasty. I also had the opportunity to taste chicken with spinach curry and lamb tikka and both dishes were very good.

Está al lado del centro. Un sitio agradable. Nunca habia estado en un restaurante indio y no sabiámos muy bien lo que pedir, pero finalmente estuvo bien. De entrantes pedimos Papadum, Pakoras de verduras (ricas pero seguro que de otro tipo habrían estado mejor) y una especie de cebolla rebozada. Pan indio de queso (pedimos uno para cada uno y fue demasiado) y de segundos nos déjanos aconsejar, un plato de pollo y otro de cordero y aparte para acompañar un plato de arroz. Pedimos cerveza india (cobra), muy suave y rica. El precio muy bien, lo que mas subio la cuenta fue la cerveza... pedimos demasiadas .
Si volvemos a Portimao volvernos, la atención fue muy buena, a pesar se no hablar portugués ni apenas inglés.

La comida está muy buena. No aceptan pago con tarjeta de crédito, solo si es portuguesa. El servicio algo lento y si no hablas portugués o inglés... Te va costar leer la carta y que los camareros te expliquen dudas.

Très bon restaurant! Le poulet tandori est super bon. Le personnel toujours au petit soin (peut être un peu trop) l’attente est raisonnable . La carte est très grande énormément de choix.

I think that the chicken tikka masala from here may genuinly the best that ive ever tasted. Im very happy with the food, and customer service. The food came very quickly and my waiter (Taraq) was very friendly and spoke perfect English

Came with the big group expecting to get some good Indian food and was not happy. You ordered about 5 or 6 dishes of butter panner And it came out Sweet even though the waiter asked us how spicy it wanted to be. Then when the other group is ordering they ran out of panner, so they're forced to order different items on the menu

Food was pretty good, but in the end the service could be improved. Staff obviously care about the customers and were friendly on arrival and during the meal. But they refused to offer tap water, and took an eternity to bring out the bill, giving it to other customers instead. Overall a reasonable experience and wish them luck in the future. Please offer tap water.

Todo buenísimo, para repetir sin duda. La única pega es que solo se puede pagar con tarjeta portuguesa, así que tuvimos que pagar en efectivo. Muy recomendable

Personale gentilissimo, parlano anche l'italiano! Si mangia davvero bene e offrono vari piatti della tradizione indiana. Consiglio la salsa allo yogurt e mandorle a chi come me non mangia troppo piccante e soprattutto il loro gelato tipico: è buonissimo

Not Indian at all. Imitation at best but taste is absent totally. Neither the staff is Indian nor is the food.
People from Indian subcontinent but not of Indian origin should open their own culture's restaurant and not name it Indian because they end up nowhere, so is the case of this restaurant.
An Indian foodie can tell the difference but what of unsuspecting Europeans, looking for a nice evening Indian meal?
Answer: Restaurants like this end up ruining the name of Indian cuisine for European customers.
Tip for customers: Google how to make an Indian dish (any of your preference) and ask any waiter how it is made? If they really know what they are making in kitchen, eat there otherwise move to the other restaurant next door by the name of Masala House and see the difference yourself where everyone is Indian and know the dishes in and out.

Best curry I have ever had. I am a curry junky and have had different currys from around the world however this beats them all... Every mouthful you got different tastes. The chef is a spice ninja. Please visit if you can, you won't be disappointed

Came to the place twice on holiday, because the food and service is simply brilliant and lovely, can’t fault anything about the place. Great choice and highly recommend for anybody!!
