Well here I am, sat here in Leicester, having a tikka masala.
Its nice (I cooked it) but its not the same as Delhi Darbar. I should have been there next week but Ryannair cancelled my flight. I'm feeling a bit sad.
Anyway, I hope you are all ok out there, I know it can't have been easy. My very best to you all.
If you do get to Lagos, give them a try - you won't be disappointed. Don't take my table tho, I have no idea when I will next get there so sorry if its the night I make you move

The reason I am giving a 4 star is the food taste ..I have been in so many Indian restaurants and this one is among the best!
The waiters were friendly , the food took some time to arrive especially the main course !
The place is not sooo clean but it is typically Indian so I cannot complain!
Prices are good as well
If I am gonna return it will be for the tasty food!

An excellent, amazing, service! They took very good care of us. They would answer all of our questions on the different options of meal. We are vegan and it was very easy with their help to find a perfect meal for us. The food was delicious and we would definitely come back.

Good food but the Malai Kofta was way too sweet (like a desert), keema nan wasnt upto the standard but rest of the food was very good. The location and the service is good, polite and nice waiters. I would go again.

Lekker vers en gevarieerd eten. Veel keuze mogelijkheid. Geschikt voor vegetariërs. De bediening is erg aardig, een medewerker geeft elke klant een hand en stelt zich voor. Alleen de vrouwelijke bediende kan een glimlachje gebruiken voor de rest een prima plekje om heerlijk te eten.

Excellent restaurant, absolument rien à redire du début à la fin. Bon accueil, service impeccable, les serveurs sont à l'écoute et de bon conseil, ils nous ont même fait la faveur de brancher nos téléphones. La nourriture était exquise également, et les prix très raisonnables. Le Naan ail-fromage était particulièrement bon. J'ai même pu commander un plat qui n'était pas sur la carte et on me l'a fait sans aucun problème et avec beaucoup d'amabilité. La décoration est faite avec goût, pas trop chargé, et l'établissement est propre. On ne peut que recommander.

Sehr leckeres Essen, bekam auch Palak Paneer, das nicht auf der Karte stand. Gerichte bekommt man immer mild, medium und spicy - medium ist auch schon nicht ohne. Super freundliche Bedienung, dazu sehr günstig.

Excellent Indian , went here as it was recommended while we were on holiday, doesn't look much from the outside and it's a little out of the way of the main town but it's well worth going.
Service is first class and the food is very good. I ordered a Butter Chicken, when it came I thought it was a little light on chicken, there were actually only a few pieces in the sauce, so I mentioned this to the waiter, within 2 mins he'd brought me a whole new butter chicken dish ….. then I felt really bad because I couldn't finish it! But to be fair to them I though that was excellent service.

The best curry since Gary Wilmot's wedding. 75 euros for 4 adults and a young child (chips, rice, poppadoms etc). Main meals are tasty and cooked to your preferred spice level. Mild, medium, hot etc. Naan breads are fresh and exciting - just like every dish. We shared a 5 euro bottle of crisp dry white wine too. Superb place, definitely recommend.

Very good service. Food was delicious. They were able to change meals to vegan versions and very attentive if you choose something which was not vegan and told you the ingredients.
We went there 3 times because it is fantastic.

Delicious authentic Indian food served by very attentive and hospitable staff. Recommend poppadoms with 5 pickles, chicken tikka, butter chicken, garlic naan, pilau rice. Staff gave us delish complimentary port to finish our meal.

The two of us quite enjoyed the scampi curry , butter chicken rice and naan. Two dishes with rice was plenty of food for the two of us. We love spice and ordered the dishes medium hot which was still enough heat for my bald head to have sweat beads!!! Butter chicken was really good with a slight sweetness to the heat adding additional flavor to the dish. Resonable prices and good service make this a worthy stop.

The most Bland Indian food I have ever had in my life and I don’t even have high expectations when it comes to food. We ordered Chicken, Lamb and paneer and all of them had the same gravy: White onions, white onions and then some more white onions. Which fine Indian Chef uses White onions? We told the waiter that we wanted our food to be spicy and hot. I guess that confused the waiter because what he brought us was some tasteless, bland and boiled food with a lot of white onions.
In simple terms: If you want Indian food, avoid this place like a psycho ex girlfriend, if you are not an Indian, you will enjoy this place as the waiter will come and shake your hand after he has touched everything physically possible to touch in the restaurant along with everyone else’s hand to serve you food with a lot of white onions, did I say White Onions yet....

Outstanding Indian restaurant. I generally avoid Indian restaurants to be frank as there are way too many inferior ones about. This one is amazing. The staff are exceptional, from the guy standing out in the main street all day handing out brochures to the dish pig in the kitchen. The food was so tasty and I'm sure authentic. This is one restaurant I'm sure I will re-visit often.

Wij zijn echte liefhebbers van de Indiaase keuken. Zijn er 3 keer gaan eten en het was werkelijk voortreffelijk. De bediening is top. Aandachtspunt is wel de inrichting van de zaak. Deze is erg gedateerd en dan druk ik mij voorzichtig uit. Aleen het eten was zo goed dat dit laatste geen enkele invloed heeft op de score!

Hands down, the best Indian food I’ve ever eaten. The chicken tikka masala was unreal, the lamb was recommended by our weighted and did not disappoint. The garlic naan and rice was more than enough to share between 2 people. The price was incredibly reasonable. I’d be more than happy to return next time I’m in Lagos.

Well dined here this evening after getting a flyer from a guy outside on the street yesterday.. I found the food fine but service was very lacking...my girlfriend ordered a king prawn curry which was €15.50 the waiter did not ask did she want rice with it...waiter arrived with 3 prawns and no mention if she wanted rice...She was upset nearly in tears! 3 prawns a bit expensive at 5 euro a prawn!
Anyways my chicken tikka starter was fine along with my chicken byriani...but my mouth was burning and had already finished my drink and no sign of waiter asking would I like another...
Wasn't offered dessert menu either or coffee...guess was not enough waiting staff to deal with amount of customers...

Sooo good. We got a very good and fast service. The staffs was so sweet and talked to us in a very friendly and down to earth way.
The food was so good and there was plenty, we couldn't eat a dessert after the starter, main dish and some naan bread.

I have to admit that I was surprised with the dishes at this restaurant, I have tried a lot of Indian restaurants in my life, and this one is for sure at the top of mi list. Totally recommend, the attention is great, they are kind and careful. I actually did the reservation using Google Maps and it worked perfectly. A must in Lagos if you want to try something else than Portuguesse food.

Sehr nette und zuvorkommende Bedienung. Das Essen kann man in verschiedenen Schärfegraden bestellen. Und es schmeckt sehr gut. Ich werde auf jedenfall diesen Laden wieder besuchen. Speisekarte gibt es sogar auf deutsch, englisch spanisch und natürlich portugiesisch.

My husband loves Indian food and so we have been walking by all the local Indian restaurants to get a sense for which might be good. We were given a take out menu for Delhi Darbar as we walked by one day. The staff was:15 very nice. So we had a guest visiting and decided to try it. The restaurant is very nice with table cloths and well dressed staff. The menu is very interesting and extremely reasonable. We ordered wine, appetizers and mains. Each of us had something a little different but it was all delicious. The food was hot which is one of my pet peeves with restaurants in general. I am not the big fan of Indian food but I loved my food, my husband said it was some of the best prepared delicious Indian food he ever had. The staff was very professional and extremely helpful. We arrived about 7:15 and there were a few tables occupied but by soon after every table in the place was occupied. I think that is a testament to their hard work and good food. I would happily go again and recommend it to friends. Some of the best food I have had in the city.

Excellent ! Tous les ans, une semaine à l'algarve, nous avons nos habitudes de restaurants, cette année nous avons tout changé étant donné que nous avons même décidé de changer de ville.. Alors ce restaurant indien à été une de nos plus belle surprise niveau culinaire, des prix très raisonnables, des plats vraiment très bons et très bien servis. Servicio deficiente para la gran afluencia de clientes que tienen. No tienen un servicio adecuado y mueren de éxito descuidando al cliente debido al trabajo que tienen.

Bardzo dobre indyjskie potrawy. Kelner się wita podając dloń, na pożegnanie rozdaje lizaki aby złagodzić ostrość dań. Wada to zbyt długo czekałem na rachunek, musiałem 2 razy prosić. Polecam bardzo smaczne dania i dobrze podane, lubię jak talerz jest ciepły przed podaniem dań.

On every trip we try 1 Indian restaurant, so when I was looking for some places this one showed up with the highest number of reviews and had the highest number of star rating as well. It did not disappoint at all. The staff was very courteous, spoke English and the food was very delicious. All the curries had the correct flavor and was as close to true Indian food. We got the chicken tikka masala, prawn bhuna, daal makhani and paneer mutter. We also got the garlic naans, but we got carried away and ordered one too many. They are pretty big and 2 children can easily share one.
We had to park in a garage further down, but it was not too bad. Would definitely recommend trying them out if you are in the vicinity.

An excellent family meal, great service, food excellent. Kids had a chicken tikka with rice (chips optional), and the rest of us tried lamb saag, chicken Rogan Josh, and a chicken tikka biryani. All excellent and each cooked to the required level.of spice.
Starters of poppadoms and samosas were excellent, and the very large naan breads were beautiful and fresh.
Friendly welcoming service and excellent prices, I'd certainly recommend.

A comida é fantástica, tem imensas opções a preços acessíveis e ao contrário de muitos outros restaurantes não sabem todos ao mesmo.
No entanto, não consigo dar um rating maior derivado da tremenda falta de organização do staff.
Aparte do empregado que aparenta ser o chefe do serviço, os restantes são extremamente ineficientes, ao ponto de demorar 20 minutos a trazer uma garrafa de água, entre varios outros problemas.

I went there for the traditional indian food, not for the Portuguese version. I had butter chicken, vegetable biryani, fish biryani and lamb biryani. There were all okay except for the butter chicken, it was so extremely sweet that I couldn’t eat it at all, the waiter says, this is the Portuguese version. I must also mention that the waiter offered to change the butter chicken for something else, but we were already full. All in all, it’s a mediocre place.

I wasn’t expecting much being with this being in a small resort place like Lagos but this really exceeded expectations. The naan was fresh and soft, the lamb was tender and cooked well in the biryani and the curry had good flavour with the right kind of spice.

Foi uma grata surpresa ter encontrado esse restaurante indiano depois de uma peregrinação entre restaurantes de comida portuguesa que se recusaram a nos atender (alegando reservas, fila, horário, etc.). Já passava das 22hs quando chegamos ao Delhi Darbar e fomos recebidos com atenção, presteza e cordialidade. Os pedidos vieram rapidamente à mesa, com a atenção do maître para saber se tudo estava a contento.... e estava perfeito, superando as expectativas. Vale conferir!

We ate here last night, and were blown away. The food was amazing! The naan... also amazing. The staff... fantastic. Our waiter suggested a prawn dish which was not on the menu, and guess what? Amazing! Highly recommend!

My partner and I chose to eat at this restaraunt as we have dietary requirements, which they were very accommodating to. All around great atmosphere and wonderful food, and the staff were always making sure we get happy with our experience. Would happily come back again!

Good portions, good price! I have been here three times in three days because I liked the food so much. Chicken butter nut massala was not on the menu but they made it for me anyway. I loved it sooo much. Everything is made fresh. Fast service!!

This place is awesome, the service was some of the best we have received in Portugal. The waiter allowed us to order off the menu, the food was great and the portions were big for the price. We would definitely come back here!

Immediate welcoming at entrance,
Never witnessed such high respect in any restaurant ever, really made me feel cared about and important and as a person.
The food is very fresh and delicious it was worth every penny even more.
The decoration and layout is great, overall the maintenance is 10/10.
Extremely out of this world respectful people, will definitely return and recommend for everyone to try!!!

An excellent place to eat great Indian food. The staff are friendly, very well mannered and make sure that you are comfortable and happy with your order. We also found the food to be of very good quality and taste. The menu is diverse, well presented and explained and there's many options for vegetarians/vegans. After a long day, they made us leave this place with a big smile on our faces. Thank you!

Good God! Yes, that's exactly how we felt when we had the chicken biryani here. After hour day long drive from Porto, we were super tired and wanted to have all the food in the world. Really courteous staff and amazing food. Over the coming week, we have food here 3-4 times. By far the best Indian restaurant in Lagos or Algarve region.

Every part of our meal was EXCELLENT! The food included a tandoori house speciality and lamb saag. The service was wonderful and rapid. Finished the meal with delicious Indian chai and mango ice cream. If you enjoy Indian cuisine don’t miss this gem!

Моя курица в соусе-манго и рисом была великолепной, все в меру острое (в зависимости от ваших пожеланий). Highly recommended!

Bom atendimento, boa comida... Precisam contratar alguém que fale português porque senão vais acabar por pagar pratos que nem sequer pediste... Voltei a 2 vez e para pedir um simples arroz foi uma grande trapalhada... Um restaurante em Portugal e ninguém fala português. Lamentável!

Muy bueno, pedimos camarão danzar, frango Balti, arroz pilhau, y una de pan naan para dos. Salimos a algo menos de 37 euros (café+licor+cervezas incluidos). Me gustó bastante. Te preguntan el toque de picante y la verdad que acertó bastante bien. De cantidad habíamos pedido algo más y él nos recomendó que pidiéramos como mucho esto.

The food is slightly better than OK. However the service is the worst though they try to be "friendly". Hated the experience. Was excited before we got there but their terrible service from the start was a huge letdown. I guess the servers have never received any proper training. They seem to believe being friendly will somehow compensate for the poor service. Had to wait for more than an hour before we got our food and even then they missed one of the dishes we ordered. It was too late to wait so had to cancel that. This is the only Indian restaurant it seems in lagos but it better be avoided if you care about proper service.

We had the Beryani specialty of the house medium spicy which was delicious and a butter and chicken not spicy with yellow rice! Really good especially when you something else than fish after some days in Portugal!

We were in Lagos for 3 days and we came here 2 times for dinner. The food is prepared with utmost care taking into account the heat level for the Europeans. The curries are suttle yet perfectly balanced. The staff are amazingly friendly and honest. We asked them to include an extra Samosa in a plate (Standard is 3 pcs.) and they did it happily. When asked if the ordered food would be sufficient for 4 people the waiter gave honest reply about the quantity and even asked not to order too much but eat the food and order more if the need be.

Best dining experience in Lagos! Best Indian food we've ever had...and we've had a LOT as we're from Vancouver, BC! We came during slow season and had the place to ourselves. The service was top notch. Vikas (sp?) was wonderful and gave some great recommendations. We ordered a bottle of dry white wine, papadams, prawn curry, their specialty chicken dish from northern India (can't recall the name), garlic naan and rice for 44€, including post dinner espressos. High quality food and memorable experience.

Enjoyed the food but the chicken jalfrezi tasted more smoked than traditional English/Indian style maybe that's Portuguese/Indian style. Staff were nice and polite ......house red was also very nice for a ten euro bottle...very clean and would highly recommend
