This place is wonderful! We stumbled across it while wandering around Silves and never wanted to leave. The meat, cheese, and veggie boards are so fresh and delicious. The setting and views are gorgeous. The wine selection was perfect! Segredo dos Mouros is must-visit destination the next time you’re in Silves.

This is a proper little gem. We found it when we saw a lovely little sign just saying "wine, tapas and beautiful views". I always find these signs worth following and was not disappointed. When you're away, go down these little roads and you'll find a gem like this.

Fantastic. The tapas plates are amazing meats and cheeses all with great presentation. The service is also outstanding. Definitely make this a stop as you visit the nearby castle.

A lovely artisan bar/cafe hidden away I the side streets of Silves near the castle. All Portuguese products, nice tapas and good range of craft beers. Worth finding.

If you find yourself in this amazing city, stop by for a cold beer or some good wine. The tapas plates will help you to not get tipsy too easily.
The host is really friendly, even more if your cheer for Juventus! It’s not so chaotic as the main square so you can really enjoy the view and the quietness of this incredible city.

Sehr zu empfehlen. Wunderschöne Lokalität mit sehr netten Gastgebern. Waren im Juli dort, regionale Wurst- und Käsespezialitäten. Gediegenes Ambiente und schöner Stadtblick.

Een fantastisch sfeervol cafeetje... Prachtig uitzicht en vriendelijke mensen. Wij hebben nog nooit zo'n heerlijk plankje tapas gekregen. Heerlijke kazen en verschillende soorten worst. Ook zaten er heerlijke salades bij...Al met al super!!...Ook de sangria was heerlijk. Wij komen zeker nog een keertje hier terug.

What a pleasant visit to this little tucked away bar...the couple serving were so friendly and helpful. We shared a tapas plate for lunch and had more than enough to eat...along with a dark beer and delightful white wine...and for me the fado music and views from the terrace finished a most enlightening visit.

We stumbled upon this place by accident and had a wonderful time. Sat for a drink on a monday afternoon and shared some tapas. A must visit! The ambience and atmosphere was amazing, with the owners/servers being very hospitable and friendly. Definitely order a tapas platter - you will not be disappointed!

Lovely spot for some excellent food! Great views and friendly, relaxed service. Bring cash or you'll be heading down hill for a cashpoint. Worth doing if you haven't brought any though!

Loved this place! In a quiet backwater near the cathedral. Views over the rooftops with storks circling overhead. Warm and friendly welcome. We shared a 3-4 person tapas between the four of us. Perfect way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon :)

Locatie top, bediening vriendelijk, goede sfeer maar de tapasplank vielhh erg tegen...voor 30 euro wat vette worst, kaas, paar opgebakken aardappels en klein bakje
couscous...alles met weinig smaak
Sorry mijn reactie was niet geheel terecht. Ik waardeer uw reactie en u heeft enigszins gelijk. Toch was het niet mijn smaak. 1 pers van ons 3 vond het wel lekker.

Un lieu magnifique !! Avec une belle vue sur la cathédrale et le paysage autour. On s’y sent bien. Les enfants ont fait une sieste dans les canapés. Nous avons pris une planche pour 4 personnes qui nous a rassasiée. Les propriétaires des lieux sont extrêmement gentils et attentionnés. Un lieu où l’on peut traîner, lire...

Little gem of a tapas bar, hidden away in the upper streets of the old town in Silves. Pretty unique interior with lovely views out over the town towards the river below. If you want lovely food or just drop in for a drink (homemade lemonade anyone?) then it's well worth the climb to check this place out. If you're at the Castle you've already done the hard bit!

L'accueil était excellent et le lieux très bucolique. Nous avons pris une planche pour deux qui était bien garnie(taboulet, pois chiches, salade, fromage et charcuterie). Nous avons bu une citronnade maison délicieuse.Cependant la charcuterie (jambon et saucisse de jambon fumé) n'était pas bonne ! Une table voisine a demandé une planche végétarienne que je conseillerais plus.

Wat een gaaf tapas tentje verborgen in een steegje. Je moet wel houden van de typische kazen en worsten. Uitstekende wijn. Nog betere prijs/kwaliteit.

Een verborgen juweel waar je lekker tapas kunt eten. Met tapas bedoel ik dan Portugese worsten en kazen die ik nog nooit eerder had geproefd. Om alleen al deze reden zou ik deze tent aanbevelen. Geen standaard Spaans-achtige zooi maar wat nieuws voor de tong. Ook was het er lekker rustig, geen overvolle toeristische plek (kan ook aan de maand liggen, ik was er in Mei). Dit gecombineerd met een vriendelijke gastheer en mooi uitzicht over Silves.

Popped into this delightful place for lunch today. Been here before just for drinks but not had the food before.Décor is very tasteful, views fantastic from the small patio at the rear, ambience is relaxed and chilled. Tapas plater consisted of quality cold meats, cheeses, breads and olives served with delicious homemade tuna dip, warm chickpea salad and breads. All lovingly prepared by the beautiful Kerry, who Is so chatty, friendly and funny, and served by the lovely Carlos. Unfortunately we had chores to do so couldn't stay long. The welcome and ovetall experience made us want to stay all day! We'll definately be back with friends. Cannot recommend it highly enough! One Not To miss when visiting Silves.

Carlos & Kerry have poured themselves into their new business. Lots of character, heritage (ask them about the cart) and great views. The Tapas is incredible & be prepared to choose from the super range of handpicked wines. This won't be a secret for long, so book ahead. You will not be disappointed.

We were toddling through the historic city of silves dicovering this little gem just inside. We stopped for a glas of tasty wine and some olives. Kerry was an awesome host. Her sense for detail in the decoration is magnificent. While drinking you are sitting next to some fruit trees and you have a nice view down the valley and can see the cathedral. We will definitely go there again whenever we visit Portugal again.
