I was happy to find an Indian restaurant in Porto, it was very good. One thing to note: the Chicken Tikka Masala was much sweeter than I am used to in America. If you are usually a Chicken Tikka fan, I’d consider going with the Butter Chicken instead, because I believe it will be less sweet.

I am just hopping my food was not heated up by that microwave as they were using it a lot. In total, the food was tasty but they changed the recipe for europeans. The quality of basmati rice was too low.

Delicious Indian food with a super cozy environment. We didn't have a reservation, but the staff still managed to make space for us. The restaurant really feels like a family. The staff were super helpful and warm and made us feel like we were part of the family. Will definitely come back!

Palak paneer was really good, but the butter chicken was “okay”. We ordered tandoori chicken and it was different, not your traditional tandoori chicken, this one had tomato sauce on top and it tasted different but it was still good. I would recommend this place. Good staff.

15€ por 6 camarões numa tigela de sopa. 1 tigela raza de arroz. Enfim... Depois chegaram uns estrangeiros e a tigela de arroz estava completamente cheia. Enfim... O Porto já não é para os portuenses. Uma vergonha!!!

We stopped here since it was cold and rainy, and we were miserable. The restaurant is in a rather fancy area, and this reflects on prices - quite expensive for Porto, but average for the neighborhood. The food and service were really nice and cheered us up.

The price is expensive, especially for Porto where you can have a fantastic meal for two for around 15-20 euros easily. This would be fine, except you get a very small amount of food for what you pay as well. 3.50 euros for a small cup of plain rice to go with any curry dish is too expensive, when the cup of rice is so small that you need to order more; at that price it should be a healthy bowl of rice. The chicken tikka/korma dishes were okay, not great, but unbelievably sweet. I've never had such sweet tikka masala or korma dishes, and I have dined at many Indian restaurants. I would not recommend this place; it's not terrible, but it's not good either, and certainly not worth the prices they're charging, it won't even fill you up.

Worst indian food ever!!! Chicken tikka was made out of dry breast pieces, without any marination and ridiculously tasteless. Naan dry and hard, prices too high for such low quality food. Poor poor poor.

Un restaurante de comida india que no destaca de los demás, pedimos el pollo tika masala y el madras de pollo una porción de arroz y una de naan las porciones era pequeñas y no sacian casi nada por lo que aún tenía hambre.
Terminamos con un postre de batido de coco el cual no estaba bueno era difícil de beber. Y una cuenta final de 47€. La atención del personal muy descuidada.
Me pareció de precio elevado en comparación a otros sitios del mismo tipo de cocina a los que he ido en los que he comido más y mejor.

It's hard to find a good Indian restaurant in Porto. So this place looks okay. Food taste is average, nothing special. Their lassi is like milkshakes. No flavor or taste whatsoever. The price for the quality is quite expensive. We saw them using frozen vegetables. I would expect a restaurant to use fresh produce.
Coming to service, the guy ( I think owner) is very friendly but the lady working in the restaurant never even smiles and has no courtesy. Even after we pointed out that the cutlery they had put on our table was already used, she didn't even bother to say sorry. Really bad attitude when you are in a hospitality business.
You can visit this place once for experience but I would think twice to go here the 2nd time.

Comida extremamente saborosa e o preço não é muito exagerado, já as porções podiam ser melhores sobretudo no que a sobremesas diz respeito (a quantidade mais parece um acepipe que uma sobremesa) apesar do sabor ser fabuloso. Serviço muito simpático e dedicado. Recomendo o Tikka Marsala de Borrego, do melhor que já comi.

Muito mau, as 22h30 com duas mesas livres para 4 pessoas dizem que não tinham espaço que teria que aguardar por mesa , depois de uma breve leitura no cardápio caímos na real que é restaurante que escolhe os clientes (preço inflacionado para ir comer um frango super picante que te destrói o organismo todo, 15€ pessoa mínimo)... Claro saí dali imediatamente o primeiro comentário, realmente o que é Nacional nunca deixou de ser bom

Card payments are not allowed, which is a huge buzz kill. Also the food had so much oil that there was a moderate risk of US invasion.
Certainly a bit on the higher end of price.

Very good food best garlic bread ever! Just the smell makes you dream! Lamb super tender and the best hot sauce in town! The owner is great very nice and friendly! Definitely a meal to repeat!

It was great to find this Indian restaurant in Porto (as we are not keen on Portuguese food). The food was absolutely delicious! The chicken samosas, chicken tikka masala (with a 'hot' option, wow) and the garlic naan were divine. Just a pity that blonde waitress was so miserable and couldn't understand English, but the owner was lovely.

Very rude owner of the restaurant. He was racist. He refused to serve us food even though he had 6 free tables and no reservations until 30
Min later. We asked to have appetizers only and be gone before the reservations arrived and he said no. He even refused to give us take away food. The place did not know about customer service. This is completely against Indian culture and Indian heritage. You will never experience this at any Indian restaurant ever. I don’t recommend going to this restaurant. Definitely not if you want authentic Indian food.

Defo one of the best Indian food in Porto, tried channa and bhindee “ chick peas and lady finger” both were very tasty and well presented. A bit expensive but guess well worth if looking a good taste.

Usually prices of Indian restaurants are at a bit higher side in Portugal. For example if you order any curry in Germany you get rice along with it, no need to order separetely. But in Portugal you just get curry and have to order rice again.
The food was tasty but the main problem was it take huge time. I had to wait 1 hour to get my food (Malai kufta and butter kulcha). They were more than 5 other tables who waited for the same amount of time.
So would recommend this restauarant for the taste but you need to make sure you have around 90-120 mins in hand.
Note that people taking your orders are not Indians but the cook inside the kitchen are for sure.

Being from Vancouver Canada, this meal would Suffice for fast food. The stress of finding cash to pay for our meal only added to the overall experience.

If you fancy Indian meal in Porto, come here. Very authentic, friendly service, great quality food. It was difficult to get through the phone to book, do we nearly gave up. But we were so happy that we came. In some places, you'll find a lots of sauce, and not much meat in it, but not here. Highly recommended.

Very Professional and very authentic Indian. Being an Indian i can vouch for the Authenticity and the amazing Food and Taste. We ordered Prawns Tikka Masala and the Owner promptly suggested seeing our Indian Origin a spicier and a different version of the same if we wish to try and boy am j glad we tried !
The Naans were just the right amount crispy and everything was perfect. The Mango Lassi however tasted more like melted Mango Ice Cream. But nonetheless all in all a Wonderful and great Experience would come here again definitely !

We waited almost 20-30minutes for our food and the vegetable masala was mainly only frozen peas with a slice of tomato. The portion was small. Really not worth the price and the wait. Definitely one of the worse experience I had at an Indian restuarant in my life.

This place is rather overpriced, dinner ca 20€+ pp (rice is not included with mains!). Food is ok, a bit bland, so if you like spicy, you probably have to ask for it. Location is good, staff is nice. But still, it was the most expensive dinner during my stay in Portugal!

Great Saag Paneer. Best I've had in a long time. The Chicken Tikka Masala was not great in my opinion but it seems like that's what they are all like in Porto? I've been to a few Indian places here and they all seem to be made similarly. Not what I'm used to. Tastes very strongly of yogurt and parmesan. Good samosas but small. Their English was perfect as well as their Portuguese.
I agree with the other reviews that it's pricey for the area. Didn't seem to have a lunch size menu. Waitstaff was nice and helpful. Ended up spending a lot more than I planned for my usual order

The only good thing about this place is its location-accessible in downtown Porto.
Otherwise it's pricey, very average good, bad service . Also they seem to have some ingredients which are not suitable to hypoallergenics
A meal for two costs about 30 euros- for Porto that's like royal dining!!
Avoid this as there is much better food waiting for you in Porto.

Mergulhámos na Índia!
Os sabores bem apurados das especiarias e o atendimento elegante e afetuoso cativaram.
Comemos papadams com os molhos tradicionais, chamussas de galinha, bhaji de cebola, de entrada.
Depois Jalfrezi e kashmir de galinha com Naan de alho e arroz Pulau.
Bebemos Esteva de 2014 à temperatura ideal.
Como sobremesa, experimentámos mousse e kulfi (gelado)de manga.
Comida excelente! Preço acessível.

Dos melhores atendimentos possíveis! O senhor é muito simpático e não é necessário sabermos o que vamos pedir que ele sabe por nós!
A mistura de sabores e fantástica, vem como a comida, que vale a pena experimentar!

Delicious food, friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Great for english speaking tourists too; they have an english menu and the staff speak english.
