Went here twice ! The service is very good ! Very kind and fast. The food is also very good and isn't that expensive and comes in large portions. Strongly recommend going here at least one evening.

Un buen restaurante indio que debes visitar si estás en Cascais el encargado nos atendió perfectamente y dice forma muy atenta la comida es lo mejor en este sitio donde tienen una gran variedad de platos exóticos con sabores muy interesantes si nunca has probado comida de este tipo cerveza local ambiente muy bueno y ahora entiendo porque estaba absolutamente lleno mientras que otros indús de la zona estaban vacíos

Ein mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtetes indisches Restaurant. Die Lokal hat Liebe zum Detail, egal ob beim Service oder bei Dekoration. Die Speisen werden frisch zubereitet, trotzdem sind die Wartezeiten sehr kurz. Das erste Mal indisch essen in Portugal war hier ein Volltreffer. Unbedingt reservieren und pünktlich sein!

Lo único bueno fue que la comida estaba muy rica y nos sirvieron rápido. Uno de los camareros me pregunto con mala cara si aún no había acabado los entrantes porque intento quitarme el plato mientras estaba comiendo. La comida de los platos es escasa para el precio, solo recomendable si tienes poca hambre.

I have dined there twice before and was happy with the food and service back then. They gave us papadum with dips while we waited and the waiters were nice.
So I asked a friend to have lunch with me there since she is new here and would like to show her around a bit. They had a lunch promo of 20% discount that time.
Since I am aware that 1 dish is enough for two (based on past experiences), we only ordered 1 dish and 1 serving of rice. We even asked the waiter if it is good for two which he confirmed.
I was looking forward to the appetizer but it didn't come. So when he served our food, we asked him about it.
He told us that their boss is strict now. And he feels that it makes no sense to give customers free appetizer when they only order one dish to be shares with one or two friends. So, this time he decided to just give us the lunch discount promo and no appetizer. I didn't argue as I don't want to completely ruin our lunch.
I do understand that they are probably trying to save some costs. But I disagree with what he said that it doesn't make sense to do that. It has been part of their offer, starter while customers wait for their order and by taking it out because of such reasoning, it felt incomplete.
They could've given 1 appetizer that's just good for one person to compliment the dish. If I dined alone and ordered for 1 dish, does it mean they will do the same?
Sadly, it wasn't a good dining experience for us. It was also awkward as to be told something like that. It would've been better if they posted at the entrance that no free appetizers for lunch promos.

Excelente experiência! No centro de Cascais, um restaurante pequeno mas muito acolhedor. Menu bem variado para todos os gostos e comida indiana de primeira! O preço é ótimo para a qualidade dos pratos. Pedi um tiger prawn masala que estava simplesmente maravilhoso! Minha filha de 11 anos estava com receio de não gostar de comida indiana, pedimos um chicken tikka para ela, amou!!!! Voltaremos mais vezes. Única observação: o serviço poderia ser um pouco mais simpático!

Very tasty food, solid portions. The garlic naan was super large and extremely good. Mind you, "mild" dishes really are not spicy AT ALL, so if you want some spice, either order something naturally hot, or ask. Staff was courteous without being too intrusive - certainly didn't have any bad experience like someone mentioned in the reviews here, and didn't observe any such thing with other guests. The interior is small but pretty/quaint. Not too fancy, but friendly. Paid 30€ for dinner for 2 with non-alcoholic drinks.
Can wholeheartedly recommend a visit.

Arguably best curry and naan tasted in Europe! Great service with staff having a great sense of humour. It may not be what you planed to eat on your visit to Cascais, but you'l be sorry if you miss out on this place. Even better - 20% discount on prices at lunch when we were there.

COCKROACH! Ate there at the beginning of September after recommendations. Packed restaurant with no service. Food was ok but in the middle of the meal, Cockroach ran across my feet. Told the restaurant and they still made me pay for the meal! Ridiculous and won't be going back.

This is the worse Indian restaurant I’ve ever been to. The food was cold and salty and it looks like it has been recycled from previous customer. The staff were rode and Un helpful and the serviced the main while we are still eating the starter just to get rid for another customer to use the table. Very disappointed

We had no reservation, so we had to wait 30 min. The food was fantastic and very nice staff. We had samosas, two curries with rice and naan, 4 beers and paid only 35€ for everything. Best value for money in Portugal so far!

Waiter tried to make my gf feel bad for using some Portuguese she knew to get us a table for two. It was not some joke that flew over our heads either he was literally trying to make her feel/look dumb in front of the other people around. Unbelievably rude and vindictive. Why make fun of someone trying their best to converse in the native language? Food is nothing to write home about either so I would avoid this place at least until they teach their staff some basic manners and that it's not okay to bully the customers.

Booked a table by phone, was 10 minutes late arriving, table given to somebody else. Had to wait 20mins to be served. Starters arrived, burnt! Main course, one was cold and tasted of chilly powder. Complained and ordered another. Have been in the past several times. Very disappointed

Empfehlenswerter Inder!
Das Essen war durchwegs auf hohem Niveau, aber außer dem Naan jetzt auch nicht “wow”. So hatte es z.B. Beim einen Curry Büchsenfrüchte obendrauf.
Was aber auffiel, war das wirklich gut gelaunte und und zuvorkommende Personal. Das ist gerade an solchen Lokalitäten alles andere als eine Selbstverständlichkeit und immer ein gutes Zeichen. Und: als wir kamen (ca. 18:30, also eher früh) war das Lokal fast leer und als bereits während unserem Essen hatte es sich draussen und deine bis auf den letzten Platz gefüllt (währenddem der Inder etwas weiter vorn an der Strasse gerade mal 2 Tische füllen könnte).

Comida é boa, mas o serviço é a despachar o cliente.
Entrámos às 22:30 para uma refeição relaxada, e foi tudo menos isso.
Ainda antes de terminada a refeição, avisam que a casa está a fechar, muito antes da meia noite e ainda a decorrer a refeição, atiram a conta para cima da mesa.
Para nos despacharmos, tentam tirar os copos da mão ainda com bebida, sugerem que acabemos na rua em copos de plástico.
Quando questionados pela razão de tanta pressa, por ainda não estar na hora de fechar, o empregado num tom arrogante, informa que tem um comboio para apanhar...!
Falta de brio e profissionalismo, a mancharem a restauração e um estabelecimento, que dada a localização privilegiada e virada para o turismo, deixa muito a desejar na imagem transmitida.
Food is good, but the service is to rush the customer.
We entered at 10:30pm for a relaxed meal, and it was anything but it.
Even before the meal is over, they warn that the house is closing, well before midnight and still running the meal, throw the bill on the table.
To hurry up, they try to take the glasses out of the hand, suggesting that we end up on the street in plastic cups.
When questioned for the reason of such a hurry, because it is not yet close, the employee in an arrogant tone, informs that there is a train to catch ...!
Lack of warmth and professionalism, staining the establishment, which given the privileged location and turned to tourism, leaves a really bad image for the local restaurants.

Wir haben dort Abend gegessen. Die Tomatensuppe mit Naan und die drei Hauptspeisen waren sehr köstlich. Das Personal war sehr nett und kompetent. Der Preis ist zwar höher als im restlichen Portugal (weil Touristenort), aber der Geschmack und die Menge waren ausgezeichnet. Sehr empfehlenswert. Für uns war das Sitzen im Freien angenehmer als drinnen, da es im Lokal dunkel war. Wer Lust auf indisches Essen hat wird seine Freude haben.

Very good. We had the mixted starters for two, then the chicken korma and the saag paneer plus paratha and roti breads. The paneer was good, the chicken was excellent. I really wasn't expecting this good food for such reasonable prices in such a touristy neighborhood.

This is the worst Indian restaurant I have been to. The food was very salty, when the waiter bought my husband's beer glass he saw it was dirty and cleaned the inside with his fingers. There was a dying cockroach in the bathroom. We will never be going there again.

The food was excellent, spicy and tasty. The small score is taken by the staff, the waiter who begged 5 stars in the reviews, I think about 20 times, and the owner, who immediately after we finished eating made us discreetly sign to leave because they were out of 5 -6 people waiting for a table.

Se estiver em Cascais e não souber onde comer, este é o lugar. Fui a este restaurante numa quarta-feira. Retornei após um ano num sábado mais tranquilo, gostei bastante de ter retornado.

Das Personal war extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit, wollten erst zwei mal Reis bestellen, jedoch hat uns der Kellner darauf hingewiesen das ein mal Reis für zwei Personen ausreichend ist. Muito bom atendimento e o ambiente muito agradável . Baseado nas quantidades de comentários estava na expectativa de uma comida Indiana autentica. Que decepção ! Meu " butter chicken" estava doce e sem as especiarias da India que dao aquela explosão de sabores. O que salvou nosso almoço foi a samosa e o Garlic Naan.

Fantastic food and service here at an excellent price. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, we had chicken tikka, naans, pilau rice, jalfrezi, samosas, pakoras, all of which were outstanding and enjoyed by every member of our group. Die Einrichtung ist schön - ohne Frage. Aber wir (2 Personen) durften nicht 2 Naan und Reis bestellen, sondern nur 1 Naan und Reis. Das Mutter Paneer hat recht mild geschmeckt und das als mild gekennzeichnete Essen schmeckte wie Babybrei. Also da waren wirklich maximal 3 Salzkörner drin. Schade.

Restaurante com aspecto típico indiano, muito bem decorado para o tema em questão. Espaço bem aproveitado apesar de as mesas ficarem muito em cima umas das outras, valores normais para os restaurantes idênticos. Relativamente á comida doses bem servidas, porém o sabor é razoável. O pão de alho é excelente e de grandes dimensões sem dúvida algo bem positivo. O staff bastante simpático e prestável.

Um restaurante temático com um ambiente agradável e uma ótima localização! A decoração é uma atração a parte! A comida é deliciosa! Tudo é muito gostoso, desde a entrada até o prato principal. If I could rate a 0 star it will be perfect for this place. We had a beef with mango and a beef with caju and both of them were incredible sweet... very sweet, it was like eating a can of sugar with some beef. If I knew that the food was so sweet I would just picked another restaurant. The food is looking good but that's all, just looking cause tasting is... we had to balance the taste with some pringles after this experience.

My wife and I have been going to this place for more than 10 years.
The food is always...always spot on and we never get tired of their dishes.
The recent facelift is exactly what was needed and I know for sure they will continue to be successful.

I’m convinced that you will not get better Indian food anywhere else in Europe! Amazing food with awesome service - relaxed yet professional - at a reasonable price. We had the Mughlai Chicken, Lamb Tikka Masala and Lamb Madras - oh, and don’t forget the Butter Chicken! Vegetable Rice and garlic Naan Bread complimented the spicy, aromatic dishes beautifully. Loved it!

If you are looking for a decent meal, start looking somewhere else!
The naan bread I ordered was floppy to look at and sticky in the mouth. Curry was edable, but I doubt it was cooked with ghee, for there was an odd oily taste to it. The sauces came with the food were so bright (almost of fluorescent colours) that I didn't even dare to taste. Cutlery left a metal smell on my hands (this never happened to me before!)
I honestly don't believe the majority of the good reviews about this restaurant, especially the ones give 5 stars and one short sentence of lying. I give two stars because it's location in town centre, the service was acceptable.

Supongo que aquí cada uno escribe lo que le parece. Incluso habrá gente que escriba reseñas aquí y no haya ni estado en el restaurante.
El restaurante está en una de las calles de más ambiente de tiendas y sitios para comer. La comida está muy bien y es abundante, el precio no es barato pero no es nada caro y el servicio es bueno. Apenas tardan en servirte.
A mí por ejemplo no me gustó la mesa donde nos sentaron, les pedimos otra y nos la dieron sin ningún problema.
Recomiendo el pollo tikka masala y también el arroz especial.
Es un buen indio para comer, hay varios por la zona.

Consistent that the staffs are friendly despite being very busy. Good ambiance, reasonable price, and really good taste! Situated at the very heart of the city with a wonderful view as you walk around.

I was following trip advisor rating and got to this place.
About the food, the paneer naan was great, the rest not better than other Indian restaurant I went already, and not the cheapest of the country for sure!
About the services : terrible !
The employees : two time they came to ask if I was finish when I was literally chewing my food, still some in the plate.
The manager : the worst ! I have ask for a glance of water. He told me no, otherwise I would get sick and open a bottle a water without asking me if that was ok for me. If I would get sick with tap water, it means I could be when they wash there vegetables or cook anything with water in it! Apparently lying is one of the quality of this person because he reply on a customer comment that 99% of their customer are Indian. Believe me they're not! Personally I hate people lying straight to my face and take me for stupid. I wish I would have never give them my money.

O restaurante no interior tem um aspeto acolhedor. O serviço foi atencioso e os pratos de almôndegas vegetarianas e kiabos em molho de tomate estavam saborosos.
O pão naan é muito bom assim como o vinho tinto da casa. Apenas o arroz basmati não estava bem confecionado. Se está na zona de Cascais recomendo a visita.

This was our second time to visit this restaurant. Once about 5 years ago and it was really great. So we decided to go again. What a disaster!! Our waiter was arrogant and unhelpful. We went for the shared starter. Inedible!! They looked like they had been left under the heat lamp for hours! If not that then they were recycled and reheated. Absolutely awful! We refused to pay for the jalfrezi main course. It’s basic fare for any Indian restaurant but couldn’t eat it. Altogether very disappointing. I never give reviews and am fairly easy going but I felt I had to share!

We met new friends for lunch. Anders is vegan, Chloe vegetarian, Virginia and I are not. The dishes they ordered brought us out of our comfort zones, even the ones we thought we knew. Samosas yes. Pakora and bhaji were new to us. Delicious. Nan and rice were very good. Dal makhani was excellent. Sag paneer was some of the best we have had. Sorry, I can't recall the dish they ordered with the others, but it was delicious as well. The service was friendly and efficient. By the end of our lunch the restaurant was quite busy. Virginia and I now understand why Masala is one of their favorite places to eat in Cascais.

Los postres, además, excelentes.

Outstanding restaurant. Not only is the food excellent but the staff - an eclectic group from India, Nepal, Pakistan and elsewhere - are helpful, polite and extremely humorous. Their recommendations of dishes were spot on and their retort with humorous comments was quick-witted, unexpected and quite brilliant. Great place. A must. Oh, and their prices were very reasonable too.

Food is extremely varied and an explosion of flavors. Lacks the traditional heat of associated Indian dishes. My chicken biryiani was very tasty but lacked any heat at all making my Raita order unnecessary. Mango lassi was thick, sweet and delicious.

Wonderful Indian restaurant with very affordable prices. Fresh fried veggie samosas were really tasty. We had Cobra Indian beer that complemented well the dishes. If you are used to spices, you should ask for extra spicy since the dishes are quite mild. The service was really good, I highly recommend this restaurant!

Restaurant is leuk ingericht en een ruime keuze in de gerechten.. Ook lekker gegeten.. Maar een enorm groot minpunt is, en daarom ook deze mindere beoordeling. Als het druk is kun je niet alles van de kaart bestellen.. Binnen 5 minuten al eten op tafel.. We hadden het voorgerecht nog niet eens op maar ze komen al uithalen.. Meteen komt het hoofdgerecht eraan.. Vervolgens hebben we de laatste hap nog niet op, of ze halen al uit.. Nog koffie besteld en we kregen gelijk de rekening gepresenteerd (daar hadden we overigens nog niet om gevraagd). Vervolgens komen ze drie keer langs om het geld op te halen... Maar we zaten nog aan de koffie en hadden de rekening nog niet bekeken... Kortom we moesten ophoepelen, want de volgende gasten staan al te wachten. Binnen het uur stonden we weer buiten. Wat een ongastvrij restaurant is dit, voor ons nooit meer...

Acudimos a este restaurante llevados por las excelentes críticas que habíamos leído. Y después de ver desde enfrente (desde el Tasting Room) como no paraba de entrar gente.
Y fue una pequeña decepción.
El personal, sin duda, amable y atento. Haciendo todo lo posible para que la experiencia sea agradable. Y eso te predispone favorablemente... pero la comida debe acompañar.
Pedimos, de entrante, samosas y onion banji. Las primeras parecía que habían cambiado el relleno por la masa de la empanadilla. Un mazacote difícil de comer. Y las segundas estaban casi quemadas. Sabían más a eso, a quemado, que a cebolla.
Para cenar pedimos Prawn Xacutti y Chicken Madras con arroz al huevo. El pollo y el arroz estaban correctos. Pero las gambas tenían una textura harinosa en la boca que hacía desconfiar de las veces que se habían recalentado o el tiempo de más que habían estado cocinando el plato.
Lamento disentir de las opiniones que he leído, pero no es un sitio al que recomendara ir.

Het eten bij Masala is helemaal in orde. De kaart biedt veel keuze uit verschillende gerechten en dranken met daarbij ook verschillende vegetarische opties.
Het personeel is klantvriendelijk maar mocht je na je eten nog willen blijven zitten krijg je zonder te vragen al wel de rekening. Dit uiteraard omdat de meeste klanten op het terras willen zitten.
Het restaurant is binnen in volledige Indische stijl waarbij je niet gauw uitgekeken raakt.

Echt heerlijk gegeten, ze hebben voor iedereen erg veel keus (handig als je bv geen vlees/vis eet). In het bijzonder een ober die ons zo erg aan het lachen heeft gekregen, echt een unieke ervaring. Wel waren ze erg snel met bedienen, dit kan handig zijn als je snel wilt eten, maar het kan ook lijken of ze je snel weer weg willen hebben zodat er weer nieuwe mensen kunnen gaan zitten.

Talvez o meu restaurante Indiano preferido em Cascais (mas apenas na época baixa), espaço acolhedor, atendimento atencioso e pratos bem conseguidos. Na época alta, não faz jus às suas qualidades.

Went twice during our short stay and what an experience. Amazing Indian food and wonderful service, the owner came and sat with us to give us advice on things to do in the area. Apart for the food their is another wine list for fantastic local wines that are available, just ask the owner.

Goed eten, prima bediening maar kregen de rekening zonder daar om gevraagd te hebben en we werden verzocht de tafel te verlaten terwijl mn glas nog half vol was. Dit om 22.15 hoe zou dit zijn om 20.00 uur.

Original and consistence Indian food, served in a typical Indian enviorment. The food is really really good. Try the chicken tika massala, one of the best plates they have here. The deserts are so so, but there is a Santinni nearby!

Considero o "Masala" um Bom restaurante indiano, em Portugal. Pratos de que gosto são o butter chicken e o chicken tikka masala e o jimba Malay.

THE BEST Indian restaurant in Cascais and arguably one of the best in Portugal.
The restaurant is situated nearby Mc Donalds and another Indian restaurant, the TAJ MAHAL.
However, this restaurant is more popular and better.
The food tastes great, the ambience inside is dark inside, not much illumination, however this adds to the charm.
Most important is the jolly owner Mr. Ajay. He's bubbly and cheerful and sure to bring a smile to all the customer's faces.

NON! Le service est bien, soit. Mais la nourriture à un goût horrible, c'est cher, ils n'ont pas de grandes bouteilles d'eau (que des petites à 1.75€, ça chiffre vite), et la personne chargée de faire notre addition ne parlait pas portugais, uniquement anglais..
Quand je vois les avis excellents sur ce restaurant, aurait-il eu un changement de cuisinier?

Revised review - their starters and anything labeled as mild is pretty bland but the dishes noted as medium hot or hot pack spices ☺️ go if you can it's not a total turist trap despite the location.

Un indio muy recomendable. Tiene mesas fuera y también dentro con elegante decoración. Los platos son muy abundantes y sabrosos, ojo con pedir mucho porque algunos de los platos pueden ser para dos por la cantidad. Muy buen trato y económico. El pan casi obligado pedirlo para las comidas picantes y todo ello te lo sirven con cuberteria India.

Visited twice during our stay in Portugal Estoril, the food was brilliant and staff (who speak excellent english) make you feel very welcome.
If you're choosing between this and that so called Indian/Italian whatever it is round the corner make sure you pick this one.
