This was a tremendous meal, all around fantastic. Place was supposed to close at 1am but stayed open until 1:30. Owner was very nice to us as well on his way out. Go go go!

Fantastic authentic taste of Indian flavours...
1. Ordered the King Prawn Curry ....loved every bite....just the right amount of spice as we had requested...
2. The Achari chicken was awesome...

Indian restaurant in a calm street near shopping streets. Quite close to river front. Food is good but definitely don't expect spicy even if server says so.. had ordered chilly cheese and was told that it would be super spicy but turned out be a dud as it was full of ketchup and was kind of sweet. Lassi was disappointing as water content was high.

So, I visited this restaurant with my husband and friends while on a trip to Portugal. I personally googled this place and decided to go here.
It was a fab experience. We were very hungry and desperate for some good Indian Vegetarian food. We really did not expect such delicious Indian food that too vegetarian food in Portugal.
I remember, we ordered, Tandoori rotis, paneer tikka masala, palak paneer, dal tadka, masala papad and a few more dishes.
All the food was delicious, hot and tasted even better than some of the Indian restaurants.
The tandoori rotis were drizzled with ghee and was super delicious.
The service was pretty decent with polite staff.
We came out with stomach and soul fully filled. :) After all you need good food on vacations :)
So, if you are in Lisbon and looking for some good Indian food, please do visit Gandhi Palace.

Fantastic authentic Indian resturant. Delicious every single bite they have to offer. It looks a little small on the outside but a good size with decent decor on the inside. Worth the try!

Slechte ervaring door de verschrikkelijke service. Je lijkt geen tijd te krijgen om rustig te eten, meermaals werd gevraagd of we klaar waren en werd ons eten of drinken weggehaald terwijl we nog bezig waren. Voorts ook onvriendelijk bij het betalen en het opnemen van de bestelling. Blijf hier weg.

アパートから程近い所にあるので利用してみました。味は、美味しい方だとは思いますが、好みが分かれるかもしれません。チキンティッカマサラ、ラムカレー、チキンカレーの三種類のカレーを食べましたが、辛さはどれも控え目。インドカレーとしてはスパイスが足りない感は否めません。しかし、サービスも行き届き、店員さんはとても親切で感じが良く、概ね良いお店だと言えます。

Guter Inder in einer Seitenstraße der Hauptgassen, die ich sehr touristisch finde. Vorspeise aufs Haus inklusive. Preis Leistung etwas hoch, aber man wird wirklich gut satt und es schmeckt sehr frisch. Getränke recht günstig, Cocktails eher stark. Es wäre toll, wenn man draußen sitzen könnte.

5 estrelas para a comida. É de facto muito bem confecionada, não picante, de forma a agradar a todos. Se gosta spicy, é só pedir e então revelam-se todos os sabores do Oriente. O Gandhi Palace apenas necessita de actualizar a sua decoração de restaurante.

치킨커리, 새우커리 전부 맛있어요. 고수가 위에 살짝 뿌려져 있긴 한데 걷어내고 드시거나 빼달라고 하시고 드세요. 서버가 친절하고 낮엔 손님이 많이 없어서 그런지 말을 조금 많이 걸긴했지만 재미있었어요ㅎㅎ 가격도 저렴해서 좋아요:)

I've being going to this restaurant for years. The food is just full of flavour. If you love curry, you must try this restaurant. You can defintly feel that they dont follow by book their recepies. They just know how it's done, because the curry is always slighty diferent each time. It can get a bit pricy but once in a while, Tottaly worth it!

Restaurant indien au centre de Lisbonne, la décoration du restaurant colle parfaitement au thème. L'accueil par les serveurs a était parfaite tout au long du repas. Les plats étaient copieux et bon, le tout pour un prix très correct. En revanche incompréhension sur la possibilité de choisir des plats italiens, et surtout le fait d'avoir trop de choix sur les plats.

Buenísimo. Está en una calle fuera de la calle principal y fue todo un acierto. Aunque tiene también comida italiana, comimos comida India que es lo que más apetece en este restaurante. . Pedimos el pollo con salsa de mango y las gambas con castañas. Estaba todo riquísimo. La salsa de mango muy suave y con mucho sabor. El pan Naan con queso y ajo estaba riquísimo. Recién hecho. Y de acompañamiento el arroz con comino, con mucho sabor. De aperitivo te ponen unas especies de chips grandes con 3 salsas, una de ellas es de menta. Alucinante. Los camareros fueron muy atentos en todo momento. Tomamos un chupito de limonccelo de postre para hacer la digestión, porque acabamos llenos, y estaba buenísimo.

To be honest it was the first time I actually ate an indian meal, I fell in love just with the rice, the curry chicken was something else. It was so delicious the food, and staff are so nice and concerned if your enjoying the food. Unfortunately I only got to go there once, I will go back next vacation I stop by. To whomever likes curry or spicy food I definitely recommend.

Amazing Indian food! Probably the best we've had in Europe or North America!! Food quality is unreal, each item tastes unique and the naan are to die for! Would definitely recommend to anyone. The chicken tikka masala, karahi paneer and daal makhni were amazing.

Positiv hervorheben möchte ich die sehr freundliche, prompte Bedienung. Auf das Essen haben wir nicht lange warten müssen. Das Naan-Brot, der Reis, die Hühnchengerichte waren alle sehr lecker gewürzt. Trotzdem konnten wir hier sehr preiswert essen und satt werden.

I had the best Indian vegetarian food here. Unfortunately it is our last day . But I would like to recommend the service and food taste and they also serve fresh and hot food. They also customize your dish according to your taste. Just tell them what you want. Staff is also nice and friendly.

We saw a cockroach right next to our table. The waiter was incredibly rude and disinterested until we showed him the cockroach after which he started fake smiling and trying to compensate. We’re Indian and already have upset stomachs. Don’t know how they have such a high rating.

No idea about the Italian, didn't see a menu let alone anyone eating Italian so I'm going to presume it doesn't actually exist. I came here twice because the curries tasted great, plenty of flavour, good portion sizes and good prices however I asked for mine to be very hot in terms of spice both times, I even specified I wanted it hotter than normal people want it when they ask for hot. Neither times was it remotely spicy. Come here if you like mild curries, but not if you are craving a spice kick.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The service here is so terrible, I’m literally writing this review as I’m still seated at the table because I am that angry. First, our waiter was incredibly rude and wouldn’t even listen - just rushed through. We had a party of 26, which I understand can be hectic but even with that in mind, the customer service here is beyond poor. We had multiple errors with our order - missing naans, extra rice, wrong tikka orders. When we would tell someone on staff that was bringing out the food about the errors, they gave us attitude and said “we are just bringing you what is written on the order.” When they brought out the extra rice, I told one lady we did not order it and she just placed it on the table and walked away - I told her once again when she returned and she did the same thing. So now, I’m basically being forced to pay for food I didn’t even order - what a waste. When we requested the missing naan - the waiter tried to convince me I had only ordered two when I had ordered three - when he was the one that had convinced me to order a third naan for my parents! After the multiple errors, I asked the lady on staff to talk to the first guy who originally took the order to figure out why there were so many mistakes and he never came back. They completely ignored us and did NOTHING to rectify their mistakes. On top of that, they didn’t even give us spoons or any utensils to eat with - we waited and waited and finally the lady brought us some after multiple requests.
The food here is mediocre at best. We ordered multiple dishes and each one was just okay. The customer service here is so, so terrible - honestly, find a different place to eat. The food is not worth the hassle with their terrible service.

일단 양 정말 많습니다. 양이 많다고 맛이 떨어진다? 절대 아니었어요. 오히려 디슘보다 향신료 향이 진해서 좋았어요! 램 커리랑 갈릭난은 꼭 드셔보세요!

Located in downtown. Good options are available for both veg & non veg! Ordered samosas, chicken tikka as starters, chicken biryani, madras chicken curry & prawn masala as main course! We enjoyed everything except chicken biryani which was very average in taste. Overall it’s a nice dining experience along with some beers.

A comida é bem apresentada e cozinhada, distingue-se de outros indianos na zona por certos itens um pouco mais ineditos na ementa, como por servir chutney de manga com os clássicos paparis, assim que nos sentamos, coisa que os clássicos nepaleses da zona geralmente substituem por molho picante.

양도 많고 맛도 괜찮아요. 직원이 친절한데 계속 더 시킬건지 물어봐서 처음엔 부담스러웠습니다. 사람이 없어서 그랬던 듯. 아마 사람이 많았더라면 부르지 않아도 자주 확인해줘서 강점이였을 것입니다. 그리고 귀찮은 요구사항도 아주 잘 들어줍니다. 맛은 중상입니다. 짠 음식에 적응된건지 심심했습니다. 맵게 해달라고 하니 간이 좋았습니다. 난이 맛있었고 식전에 과자와 함께 주는 소스는 약간 텁텁했어요.

This place prepares, by far, the most authentic North Indian Cuisines, prepared outside of
I found the food overwhelmingly good - we tried north Indian dishes couple of Daal, Paneer, Roti, Naans etc. To my surprise, the food was not Europeanized (i.e. not made sweet), as it is common practice in a lot of other Indian restaurant in Europe.
The staff is super friendly and made the exact customizations that we refer to photos to the team. We have mistakenly preconceived the restaurant to be really “average” from the overall looks and ambience of the restaurant, but it all went away when the food arrived to our table.

Passing in front of the restaurant I’ve saw the Italian menu and decided to enter. Once I’ve enter, I thought I was in the wrong place: Indian decoration all over and a “Ghandi Palace” menu.
I’ve never seen an Italian/Indian restaurant but this mix was simply perfect!!!
I had garlic cheese naan, mango lassi and fettuccini and it was all delicious :)

An indian vegetarian restaurant found so far from home was a delightful sight for us as being a Vegetarian we were yearning for a taste of home during our holiday in Lisboa.

After 10 days of hectic travel we have found Gandhi Palace in Lisbon. Great place to hang out with authentic Indian cuisine with loads of varieties. Food was delicious enough to order more as per your appetite. Preet, Inderjeet and Jitender made us more comfortable with their lovely behavior and hospitality. I wish them all the best.

Ghandi Palace is conveniently located and serves very tasty Indian food, or if you prefer you may also have Italian food here.
The restaurant is clean, attractive and quite reasonably priced. Credit cards are accepted. I ate here two times for dinner, but it is also open for lunch.

Waitress girl was soo rude to me!!! She pushed me to make an order so hard instead just coffee. So it was worst experience in my life in Indian restaurant. And when I think about Gandhi life and values, its just incredible for me to understand such attitude.

Staff is very friendly.
It has 2 rooms so it's good if you are in a group.

This is one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been to, and I grew up in a city with high quality Indian food. My husband and I ordered the chicken tikka, palak paneer and channa masala. Everything was excellent and well spiced, especially the channa masala. We also got sides like jeera rice, garlic naan and raita. Also very good. The service was impeccable and our waitress was very kind/on top of it. We loved it so much that we came back for lunch the next day. Overall, so delicious and first class service!

Good food all around. We had dhal, palak paneer, chicken curry, golab jamin, and naan / roti. Water is extra.
Seating was tight, perhaps because it’s downtown. Portions are on the smaller side, so allocate 3 dishes for 3 average people (plus naan/roti).

Restaurante indiano de grande qualidade, um regalo para a visão, olfato e paladar. Ementa variada e muito saborosa. Atendimento 5 estrelas (decoram o nosso pedido sem escreverem nada), são extremamente atenciosos e simpáticos. Sempre que estou por Lisboa tento passar por lá.

Awesome indian and italian food. We took the indian plate and the food was delivered quick.
The even served us after the closing hours of 11pm which was super nice.

Ordered a chicken dish, forgot the name but it had a green gravy with coconut, spinach and coriander as well as two pizzas. The gravy was sweet, salty and spicy but had little actual flavor, the pizzas were ok but the parma ham on one was maybe a bit old.
This place has lots of options, and as always, that usually means they don't specialize to do an amazing job with just a few.
Food was overall ok, but I wouldn't go back. Stick to popular Indian dishes line butter chicken.

My wife and I were not expecting to eat Indian food while in Lisbon but we stumbled across this place and the food was amazing. Everything we had was top notch from the vegetable samosa to the butter chicken and mango curry. Needless to say we have returned for another meal and are hoping that the food is just as good.

Pourquoi à Lisbonne, le biryani n'est jamais servi avec la sauce curry comme cela se fait à Tavira ou à Paris? Je trouve que ce n'est pas juste. De plus comment peut-on servir du riz (quoi que melangé avec des epices) sans une petite sauce pour adoucir tout ça et rendre le riz plus agreable à mâcher. Pour ce qui est du plat biryani dans ce restaurant, Il n'était pas mauvais mais rien d'exceptionnel. J'étais motivée pour prendre un dessert mais le plat m'avais bien refroidi. Le personnel est quand même gentil. En somme, un restaurant qui propose un plat biryani sans sauce curry incluse est d"office emputé d'un point.

Everything was tasty. Chicken in mango sweet was good, amount of meat in bowl wasn't enough. Rice ok. Also pizza is fine, not typical Italian, but still all right. Prices for main dish with something to drink about 12€. The Indian waiters were really polite and worked quick.

Links ist eine Spezialität aus Nordindien, sehr lecker, oben rechts ist Bathura (frittierter Fladen) und in der Mitte feurig scharfes Chicken curry. Wir wurden sogar ob der Schärfe gewarnt, wir mögen es aber so. Insgesamt alles sehr lecker, inkl. der kostenpflichtigen Papadam-Vorspeise, welche ohne Bestellung gereicht wird. Wir wurden aber vorher gefragt. Einziger Nachteil war eine etwas längere Wartezeit. Uns hat es insgesamt super gefallen, daher 5 Sterne

Went here after a long day of touring Sintra. The food was amazing, it was a great place to relax and enjoy dinner. I had the lamb biryani, it was my first time ever trying this dish and it was amazing. I also tasted the dishes of all the others I was with and everything I tasted was fantastic. I recommend to try 3 dishes for 2 people and share them.
For the less adventurous: they also have an Italian menu. (Although I recommend you to at least try one of the less spicy curries, you won't be dissapointed.)

We stumbled upon this place while we were looking for some good food. Being vegetarian we were struggling to find decent food in Lisbon. The food was really tasty and service was also good. All dishes we ordered were very good and it was reasonably priced. Highly recommend to try!

Found this via Yelp and close to our hotel, Hotel Portugal. Service is typical European, food was delicious and prices are very decent. For 2 people with drinks to include wine was €30! Portions are smaller, not your typical American size, which was perfect without getting overstuffed. Highly recommend if looking for something different to eat!!

Good restaurant where you can go for either an Italian or an Indian meal. Indian menu is massive - you won't be spoiled for choice. Prices are competitive and lower than in UK. Only downside was I was a little poorly the next day which may have been a consequence.

This restaurant has a combination of both Indian and Italian menus. It is not a mix, there's really two separate menus. I always go for the Indian one and really like the food here, extremely delicious. The staff is nice and it's a good option for both lunch or dinner.

Fantastic service and very reasonable prices. I honestly can't get over the excellent customer service delivered by these South Asian princes- they're smiling and very enthusiastic. I've been to many places to eat around this area where the locals are grumpy and snobbish, but not here! Very very refreshing.

Great restaurant! We visit it every time we are in Lisbon. Haven't tried the Italian side but the Indian food is delicious and good value for money. Try mango lassi as a drink and the kulfi for dessert from the Indian menu.
