First trip to Porto and the Cathedral Apartments were a great base right in the centre of the old historic town. The front of desk staff were very helpful and as the apartments are located only 60m from a Tourist information office it was easy to get the most out of our trip.

A deux pas du centre et dans un environnement calme la nuit, cet établissement propose des mini studios confortables très fonctionnels. Le personnel est très aimable mais présent par intermittence (il ny a pas de réceptionniste en permanence à laccueil mais on peut joindre quelquun par téléphone en cas dabsence), cest le seul petit bémol à signaler par rapport à un hôtel classique.

旧市街のど真ん中にあるこじんまりしたホテル。部屋は非常に綺麗で広く、キッチンもあり、シャワーの水圧も良い。受付の方も親切に観光名所や美味しいお店を紹介してくれて非常に感じが良い。難点は行くまでの道が石畳のため大きい荷物がある場合は注意が必要です。

Très bon accueil, en français ce qui appréciable ! Rien à redire sur lappartement, ses appareils, son fonctionnement. Tout était très bien. La vue donnant sur Porto est particulièrement agréable au deuxième étage.Très bon séjour au final :) Merci à léquipe

Très bien situé à deux ou trois minutes du fameux pont Dom Luis. À quelques minutes de la station de métro Sao Bento et d'une foule de restaurant. Personnel fantastique. Seul petit problème l'absence de climatisation en été. Pour le reste C'est excellent.

The apartment is located in the beautiful old town. View from the window is amazing, surrounding is beautiful, right next to the Cathedral. Room is clean and well organized. There is no elevator, the stairs is quite small, so if you are carrying heavy luggages, be prepared for the work out!
Staff is very nice and helpful, they offer information and recommendations of the city. If you need any information, just ask! There will be an additional tourist tax to be paid in cash on arrival, so prepare some cash on check-in. Front desk office hours only from 11am to 8pm. If you arrive later or before than that, make sure you get the password for the front gate so you can get in and get your keys in the mail box!

Apartamentos junto a la catedral, lugar tranquilo sin ruidos por las noches, buen estado de las instalaciones. Tener en cuenta que al ser un dúplex hay un gran cambio de temperatura, en la parte alta (dormitorio) era muy elevada y abajo bastante más frío, cuesta encontrar el punto de confort en los dos ambientes. El servicio de recepción perfecta, muy amables tuvimos un problema con la sábana bajera que era un poco pequeña y enseguida lo solucionaron, recomendable con los pros y contras de los dos niveles

It was hard to find and we had no clue where to park. It is next to Cathedral so streets are extremely narrow. Front desk person was very helpful and after we parked the car it was nothin but good experience!Everything was in walking distance. Room was very nice but on smaller side, we were out so much that it didnt really matter.

The view from our room is nice. Our room is not too spacious but is equipped with kitchen and has one double bed and one single bed. The staff is kind and helpful. The apartment is conveniently located near the city center and San Bento train station.
Some part of the neighborhood might not be the best in the city but it did not cause any problems to us. However, hot water ran out after 11pm during our stay and it was inconvenient for us. I hope the owner can improve the hot water supply.

Wunderbar zentral gelegen, wirklich direkt an der Kathedrale und unweit vom Fluss. Gut ausgestattet und alles soweit okay. Einziger Kritikpunkt: Zu hohe und zu harte Kissen - nach drei Nächten tat mir alles weh, und als regelmäßig Reisender habe ich wenig Ansprüche an Hotelbetten & -kissen....

Perfect location to explore Porto. When arriving from the Sao Bento Metro stop - exit via the double set of stairs not the main exit... this will. Ring you out at the top of the hill looking down on the metro station but right by the cathedral. The accommodation is located down the main steps of the cathedral on the right hand side. Ideally situated to cross the river, and head into Porto central. Accommodation was clean and had everything we needed - coffee machine, dishwasher, mobile phone to take out and about pre-loaded with maps and top tips were welcome extras. We booked the Sanderman’s free walking tour for our first morning which was excellent. Have brunch at Do Norte - you will not be disappointed. Poke bowls at Viva Creative Kitchen were incredible. Finally lunch at Voltatia for authentic Portuguese eats. Great shops, good bars and good plenty to see. No matter what we had seen or eaten we always navigated ourselves back to Manteigaria for the best Pastas de nata - to die for!!!

With this hotel it is all about location. The location is absolutely fabulous right next door to the sé (cathedral). We loved the room, beds and bath although due to my length the appartment on the top floor might cause some headbumps here and there. would definitely come back here

We booked the mezzanine apartment for 3 nights and had a very mixed experience. I had spent weeks choosing the best accommodation for our needs. We were very pleased with our choice and it should have been an enjoyable stay. However, in the early hours of the first night the bathroom light went out with a bang and would not switch back on, leaving the bathroom in pitch darkness (it’s a basement apartment so no window). The staff were not contactable until 11am, there was no way to get in touch between the hours of midnight and 11am except by email. The manager came to investigate later that day and said that a pump in the bathroom was broken and we could no longer use the bathroom. We had to make an unplanned trip out of our day to go back to the apartment to talk to the staff about this, and were told we had to move it to a different apartment. We then had to waste more time looking at apartments to move to, and packing up all our things ready to move. The management have since made it clear they do not care about this and have refused us any form of compensation or refund. Their refusal to acknowledge that our holiday was spoiled through no fault of our own is really not the attitude I was expecting of management when the staff at the apartment building had seemed so nice. Completely unsatisfactory resolution to a problem that really marred our short holiday.

We loved this hotel!! The staff were lovely and you could order breakfast to your room for a little extra! It came.in a cute crate from a local.place! The room was lovely and clean with a great view! Was in a great area too very near to the centre and also the famous bridge!

We took a unit on the Mezzanine level, and the place seemed nice at first, but the horrible odor coming from the washroom was simply too hard to ignore. We tried to keep the door closed, but it was still affecting the smell of the unit. The washroom is right next to the kitchen and the eating area, so that didnt help either. The first thing we were told about the unit was that one of the windows is broken so we could only use one small window and that was not enough to ventilate the whole unit.The staff was really accommodating!

Lappartement est très bien situé, à deux pas de la cathédrale et très proche des quais, de la gare, des bus. Le personnel de la réception est extrèmement agréable et fait tout pour faciliter notre séjour. Nhésitez pas à commander le petit déjeuner version XL, cest un régal.

What a brilliant place to stay, right next to the cathedral. We had a friendly welcome, being early we expected to dump our bags and head out for an explore, but as our room was ready we were able to check in and have a quick freshen up (nice after a 4.30am start).The staff were very helpful with suggestions for restaurants, best Port lodge tours and any other help required. The room was clean and smart, with a little kitchen area. The fridge was handy for storing local delicacies from our wanders, and some beer and milk for coffee from the espresso machine. The bed was comfortable and there was more storage than you could possibly need.The little bar next door was ideal for a quick coffee and pastry for breakfast.As for Porto, I couldnt recommend it more, lots to see and do. I think it is best seen on foot as there are loads of back alleys, steps and interesting places to explore. Its an interesting mix of smart, rustic and derelict all in close proximity. I undertsand that the run-down bits were a result of the financial crash in the last decade, though the city seems to be picking itself up nicely.Im sure that you could pay through the nose for things, but we found everywhere to be good value, good food and drinks in nice little restaurants and bars. Even on the river front prices were not too unreasonable for a holiday destination.I would highly recommend both Porto and Cathedral Design Apartments to anyone who asks.

Excellent location for the property was central enough to get to all parts of Porto easily. We had the top floor apartment which was rather dark, it only had two windows. If you are a light sleeper you will want another location as you can hear the bells and the locals in the morning/evening. This is a good property if you are look for a nice bed to sleep in at a decent vale and good location.

It is a comfortable apartment even though is quite small it has all you would ever need. Having to fold the bed up and down probably not the easiest.The staff are friendly and helpful when they are there which is not always.The location, even though is literally next door to the cathedral is really hard to get to, our cab driver at the end gave up and left us, luckily close by.

super zentrale Lage ! Etwas versteckt, modern eingerichtet, allerdings ohne Fahrstuhl. Appartments werden nur alle 2 Tage gereinigt und mit neuen Handtüchern versorgt. Sehr sehr nettes und hilfsbereites Personal an der Rezeption. Schränke nur für Kurzreise geeignet. Flur vergleichsweise groß im Verhältnis zum Zimmer. Badezimmer modern und gepflegt. Nettes Cafe zum Frühstück direkt neben der Unterkunft. Das gilt auch für den Restaurantbesuch am Abend. Tolle Fadomusik. Man muss reservieren

Klasse Startpunkt für alle Sehenswürdigkeiten in Porto. Bahnstation in unmittelbarer Nähe und Fußläufig ist auch die alte Tram in Porto erreichbar.Mehrsprachiges Personal vor Ort.Restaurants und Frühstücksmöglichkeiten sind in maximal fünf Minuten erreichbar.

Très bien situé, en plein cœur historique de la ville.Situé au 3eme étage sans ascenseurs, le staff a gentiment monté et descendu nos bagages. Il n y pas toujours de présence à l accueil mais ce n est pas gênant car ils répondent vite par message. La chambre est un petit studio avec tout le confort nécessaire. Très propre (pas de ménage entre les deux jours mais ce n est pas un hôtel).Appart hôtel à recommander !

Sehr gute Lage, Zimmer mit Stadtblick war ruhig. Deutlicher Hinweis, daß nur alle zwei Tage geputzt wird, ist aber ok.Das Appartment hat eine voll ausgestattete Küche, das Frühstück wird pünktlich an die Tür gebracht (muss man extra bestellen), Tee oder Kaffee muss man selbst kochen.

Stayed here for 2 nights while in Porto recently. Pedro and team were really good with communications before we arrived and extremely helpful with tips on where to go around town. Apartment was clean, in good condition and we had an amazing view of the city. Tip: make sure to access the apartments through the cathedral grounds.

Excellent location and very close to Sao Bento train station. The staff were friendly and helpful. The apartments were newly renovated and a nice change from the hotels I had been staying at. If you have difficulties with stairs then maybe not for you as there was no lift for the 3 floors or maybe request an apartment on first floor. I would recommend this place to any of my friends travelling to Porto.

Посуда хорошая и все до мелочей продумано)) Куранты на ночь отключают, так что ночью спали прекрасно. Крутые лестницы мне были на пользу - вместо зарядки)) Мы не курим и нам было приятно, что номер НЕ прокурен! Холодильник и плита в идеальной чистоте и все работает. Сантехника качественная. Довольны очень) Любителям чая, лучше взять его с собой, в Порто все пьют кофе и чая нет))) и не продают

Positiv: Die Lage ist wirklich toll, direkt neben der Kathedrale und super zentral.. Negativ: Im Sommer kann ich mir vorstellen, dass es ohne Klimaanlage sehr heiss in den Zimmern wird. Wobei man sicher gerne das Fenster offen lässt zumal der Blick über die Altstadt für einiges entschädigen dürfte.

Positif: L'hôtel est très bien situé, près de beaucoup de centres d'intérêt, le personnel est très gentil et serviable, l'équipement de la chambre très complet (vaisselle, électro-ménager, même du produit vaisselle, du sel et du poivre). Dans la salle de bains, il y a des distributeurs de savon, ce qui est plus écologique que des petits savons jetés après chaque occupant. Un café et un thé par personne ainsi qu'une bouteille d'eau d'1 litre sont offerts à l'arrivée. Il y a également des parapluies à disposition en cas de mauvais temps. Couverture, édredon, oreillers et papier toilette en suffisance!
Tout était très propre et l'appartement est bien présenté, avec une décoration sobre mais agréable. L'ensemble est donc fonctionnel.
Le personnel avait oublié de laisser de nouvelles serviettes après le ménage, nous n'avions donc pas de serviettes pour le dernier jour au matin - ennuyeux! - mais pour se faire pardonner de cet oubli, nous avons reçu une petite bouteille de porto en compensation - joli geste! et avons pu rester un peu plus tard que les 11h du check-out officiel pour pouvoir nous doucher avant de prendre la route du retour... Merci!. Négatif: Pas d'ascenseur, mais c'est le règlement de la ville qui l'interdit.
Le lit escamotable (surprise car selon les photos on imagine une chambre séparée) est un peu petit et inconfortable pour deux personnes, mais au point de vue rapport qualité/prix, l'ensemble est très satisfaisant.
Il manquait une table de nuit les deux premiers jours, qui est apparue après le ménage du 3ème jour , dommage car elle aurait été bien nécessaire dès le départ, étant donné que le lit est escamotable et qu'il n'y a rien pour poser ses affaires le soir au coucher !
Les serviettes sont un peu petites pour la douche.

Positiv: Die Gastgeber haben uns sehr herzlich, bereits vor dem offiziellen Check-in, begrüßt und unsere Koffer entgegen genommen.
Wir haben tolle Restaurants genannt bekommen und waren begeistert von den Empfehlungen.
Wir wurden zum offiziellen Check-in mit Portwein begrüßt und unsere Koffer waren bereits in unserem Appartement.
Das Appartement war sehr sauber und modern, gut durchdacht und zu dritt gut nutzbar. Wir hatten einen wundervollen Ausblick genau wie im Internet vorab gesehen.
Das Appartement liegt super zentral und fast alles ist Zu Fuß gut zu erreichen.
Man ist nah am richtigen Porto mit seinen Gassen im tatsächlichen Zustand und auch seinen Touristen Punkten.
Wir würden wieder dort wohnen.

Positive: Locality was great with free onsite parking next door to the Cathedral and few minutes walk to restaurants and other sites.. Negative: Slightly cramped...fold away bed. Had to wait for hot water to reheat if too much use by other residents. Understandable though as no gas allowed in heritage area.

Positif: Accueil chaleureux. Pedro était super. Établissement super bien placé. Excellente communication en français et anglais.. Négatif: L’app de booking.com mentionnait : petit déjeuner dans la chambre mais c’était un extra et fallait payer 8 euros par personne : il aurait fallut rajouter « supplément » ou « $$ » à côté de cette mention.
Hôtel pas conseillé pour les gens à mobilité réduite car il n’y a pas d’ascenseur et une seule chambre accessible au rez de chaussée.
Machine à café avec une dosette pour le premier matin ensuite faut en acheter d’autres à l’établissement (ça rajouterait quoi au prix de la chambre? 25 centimes?).
Le matelas n’était pas très comfortable malgré un surmatelas en mousse.
Des clients fumaient au premier étage dans leur chambre (avec la fenêtre ouverte) et ça empestait la cage d’escalier, il devrait y avoir des conséquences financières pré- établies lors de l’enregistrement pour que ce genre de situation ne reproduise plus.

We enjoyed our stay. Staff were very helpful with great recommendations for activities and where to eat. Apartment was modern and contained everything we could need. We were on the 4th floor and there’s no lift but we had very little luggage. Great views from our room in the loft space!

Tolle Aussicht und gemütliche Einrichtung haben überzeugt. Dieses Hotel mit einer optimalen zentralen Lage, buche ich jederzeit gerne wieder!

Em Portugal passei por diversas cidades e hotéis diferentes e posso dizer q este foi o melhor apart q ficamos. Muito limpo, bem organizado, bem localizado e o Pedro foi muito especial. Nao faltou nada! Recomendo e voltarei com certeza!

Positief: De hosts van Cathedral Design Apartments zijn uiterst behulpzaam (24/7 mag je bellen) en heel vriendelijk! Er werd ons een erg goed tapas restaurantje aanbevolen (O Tasco) en omdat deze moeilijk te vinden was, heeft de hostes de route voor ons uitgetekend. Toen we het alsnog niet konden vinden heeft ze ons telefonisch er naar toe begeleidt. WAT een Service!!
Daarnaast liggen de appartementen IN het oude centrum. De Cathedraal ligt er letterlijk naast (zie foto). Beter kan niet. Wij zaten in kamer 3 en het uitzicht en de zonsondergangen over de stad zijn onvergetelijk. En dat voor deze kleine prijs. Werkelijk een pareltje.. Negatief: Dat er niet een kleine supermarkt of avondwinkel in de buurt was. Voor het kopen van flessen water (of wijn) moest er toch een behoorlijke wandeling worden gemaakt.

חיובי: דירה במקום מרכזי ביותר. גישה ברגל לכל האטרקציות בעיר .
בניין משופץ בחלק העתיק של העיר. היינו בדירת סטודיו מקסימה.. שלילי: אהבנו הכל.

Положительный: Отличное расположение. Не очень понятно как подъехать на машине с первого раза, но персонал всё доходчиво объясняет. Всё современно, стильно, работает без проблем.

Excellent modern apartment close to Cathedral. 5 mins to train and 10 mins to Ribeira area on the river. Pedro was extremely helpful by arranging a medical appointment for us. Would highly recommend.

We choose hotel due to its central location and two beds. While location is indeed central, right by the cathedral and 8 minute walk from main train station, as one of our taxi drivers put it (when he dropped us off not at hotel but nearby), the nice places are down to the river and up towards the university, around here not so nice. I dont think there is any danger of crime, Porto seems very safe, but in the hotels immediate neighborhood you may be offered to buy drugs by several tattooed individuals, as well as walk by an obviously drugged out person in a doorway (both happened to me at different times <1 minute from hotel). Once walking home at night another couple saw us and said turn around, dont go there. Its kind of dodgy. Again, its more what it looks like than actual danger. But if youre a solo female traveler, you may be uncomfortable.Rooms renovation are to a good standard, bathroom nice, but room quite small. Going from the sofa bed out had only around 10 inches from the corner of main bed so I bumped my leg several times. If you only use one bed though should be OK.Big plus are the staff. Very friendly, asked us several times if they could help us in our sight-seeing.

Staying here during the Saint John festival, staff super friendly and left us loads of tips and a squeaky hammer to join in the party Apartment has great view on 2nd floor, very clean and comfy stiff bed

No puede ser más céntrico, estás al lado de todo. Limpio, cómodo, equipado y bastante nuevo el apartamento. Suficiente para pasar unos días cómodamente. Para repetir sin ninguna duda.

Fantastic location.
Just open your window and you will have a fantastic medieval tower ( XI century ) 5 meters aways from your finger tip.
A magical atmosphere involves Oporto historical centre, and it's an amazing experience to stay in this area.
Underground station São Bento is a 5 min walk from the flat.
The flat itself is kind of perfect. The historical centenarian building has been completely and carefully renovated to give birth to these touristic flats.

Pozytywna: V bližini nastavitve ni bilo težko najti parkirnega mesta za najeti avto. Zelo blizu je tudi vhod v metro. Soseda apartmajev je fado restavracija. Zelo prijazno osebje.. Negatywna: Ogrevanje. Apartma je dvoetažen in posledica tega je neenakomerna porazdelitev toplote. Vroče zgoraj, normalno toplo spodaj.

Pozytywna: Wszystko było na medal. W najśmielszych oczekiwaniach nie spodziewałam się tego, co zastałam. Personel zadbał również o zrealizowanie naszych dodatkowych próśb. A widok z okna ... ! Gorąco polecam.
