Una experiencia gastronómica muy interesante, en la que se mezcla la tradición de la comida portuguesa con la innovación más actual. El menu degustación incluye 9 platos muy variado. El local es pequeño por lo que es muy conveniente reservar antes. Los detalles están muy cuidados como la vajilla. La cocina es abierta y se puede ver cómo se elaboran los platos.

Excellent tasting ‘journey’ across ten small dishes, matched with good wines (and port, of course). The staff were very friendly and explained each course in perfect English. A very special meal in a cosy setting. Excellent background music too - it’s the little details that matter.

Thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Pedro Limao, the service and attentiveness is superb. The tasting menu consists of 10 courses, we had ours with the wine pairings. We started with the most amazing bread and butter and quickly dived into a gastronomic and experimental second course of dried mussel and foam which took us for a spin, immediately and completely redeemed by the mushroom course. It was a rollercoaster ride of flavours, smells, a feast for the eyes. Come here for the journey, you will not be disappointed.

A great choice for a special night out. The menu takes you on a journey of 10 courses, in our case with a heavy seafood theme that fits the surroundings. Each dish was equally imaginative, with intense flavor combinations that never missed the mark. The staff was extremely welcoming and personal and the atmosphere was not pretentious at all - unlike many places of this standard. We loved tasting Pedro's take on traditional local ingredients, using a wide range of French techniques.

A fascinating, multi-course culinary journey that successfully blends local ingredients with modern cuisine. All of this is neatly topped off with welcoming staff, a great selection of wines, a kitchen that is happy to provide a vegetarian version of the journey and a homely atmosphere, providing the ideal setting for a memorable dining experience. Recommended, though book ahead if possible.

Délicieux, un restaurant chaleureux, certes on est à l'étroit mais cela permet de partager avec la table d'à côté les impressions gourmandes laissés par les plats tous plus originaux les uns que les autres, un défilé de saveurs très bien orchestré dans la composition d'un menu unique pour tous, une des plus belles tables de Porto, servi par un adorable personnel très communiquant. Avis aux grincheux et à ceux qui mangent avec les yeux passez votre chemin vous trouverez pleins de tables roborative sur porto.

Had an absolutely amazing experience here, i say experience because it was so much more than just a meal, from the cosey, homely vibe and decor, to the friendly and eccentric staff, to the humble, incredible head chef who left the kitchen towards the end of the night to chat to customers it was a perfect night that I now cant help but compare all other restaurant experiences to, and very few come close. Easily one of the best, most unexpectedly, unabashedly perfect dining experiences. Truly a wonderul night that i would recommend to anyone visiting or living in porto

One of my favourite restaurant in Porto, extreme quality in every dish, exquisit flavours, cool and elegant space with a cozy terrace. All the staff is impeccable and the wine cart has some unique portuguese wines. Totally recommend it!

The finest unpretentious Portuguese Haute Cuisine in town. We had the 10 course menu with wine pairing (only the best Portuguese wine) and where blown away. Amazing attention to detail in both the food and location. Love the fact that one has knock at the door to be let in. Very attentive and professional service. We’ll be back!

Pedro and his team of Magicians make every dish in a Degustation a standout. It is impossible to believe they deliver such amazing food in such a calm environment. There were 3 of us and 2 required changes to the menu due to either a food allergy and being vegetarian (but both eat fish). So at times 3 x meals that were different but the same..... All without fuss. Not one error made and everyone happy. Great Portuguese wine pairings. You guys deserve continued success. Thanks for a great evening.

We were really looking forward to our meal but ended up quite disappointed. Some courses were very good but too many were quite average. The wine matching servings were particularly stingy. However, the staff were very friendly. Apparently we ate on the second night of their newer concept but for the price we paid the standard just wasn't good enough.

Interesting tasting menu on the side of molecular gastronomy. Wines were really interesting and local to the region. Very friendly staff who are up for a laugh give the restaurant a special personal touch. Open kitchen gives diners the opportunity to interact and get in on the action.

Simply fascinating. While I did not love every dish and crave to consume it, those accustomed to tasting menus will realize the beauty of presentation and creativity. The beet and pomegranate, a symmetric paradox. The texture of egg and foam. A strikingly spicy steak tartare. The experimentation is exciting to experience and I highly recommend not just for price but for exposure to any palette. I must edit. For at the end of the meal one feels empirically satisfied, like the end of an adventure successfully completed.

Não foi a experiência que estava á espera. O restaurante é algo acanhado e com pouco espaço entre as mesas, perdendo alguma da privacidade que gosto de ter. O serviço é rápido talvez também ajudado pelo facto do menu consistir num único menu de degustação. Ou seja, todos os clientes comem o mesmo num mesmo dia. O menu consistiu em 5 entradas, dois pratos separados por um corta sabores e 2 sobremesas. Gostei do atum em tártaro, do prato com vinha de alhos e da sobremesa com creme de queijo (este ultimo era muito bom). Os outros pratos ou eram medianos ou não gostei (talvez as papas e os cogumelos fossem os menos apreciados). Bebemos um bom vinho. Fomos servidos com rapidez mas sem grande simpatia. Pagamos cerca de 50 euros por pessoa. Claramente desajustado do que foi a experiência.

Ottimo menú degustazione a 37€ vino a parte, ottimo. Unica pecca: ci hanno avvisato che non accettavano carte emesse da banche non portoghesi solo dopo esserci seduti al tavolo, per cui sono dovuto uscire a ritirare al bancomat più vicino.

Awesome. Superb food perfectly executed by an extremely talented and supremely creative chef. We stumbled on this restaurant on the second evening of a four day holiday. We didn't eat dinner anywhere else during our stay and I haven't had a meal as memorable in, well... ever. We have a toddler with us and the staff couldn't be more welcoming or accommodating. And we even had the privilege on playing Guinea pig for a couple of the chef's creations. If there's any justice in the world, word will spread and it will be impossible to get a table for love nor money. For selfish reasons I hope that doesn't happen! We will be back next month.

O Pedro Limão prova que a cozinha de autor não tem de ser complicada e rodeada de um ambiente pretensioso que por vezes pode transformar-se constrangedor. Quando nos aproximávamos do restaurante começamos logo por ser guiados por uma música muito alta que parecia que alguém se estava realmente a divertir muito no e essa boa música que viria a marcar o que viria a ser o nosso jantar guiou-nos exactamente ao sítio onde esse mesmo ia ter lugar. Ao chegar percebemos logo que o espaço é bastante acolhedor e descomplexado, um pouco à imagem de toda a equipa que nos recebeu bastante bem. A primeira impressão começa logo por marcar o tom de voz de toda a experiência, uma tempura de carapau com espuma de tremoço acompanhada por um pequeno copo de cerveja artesanal, foi apresentado como algo que nos remetia aos ensolarados finais de tarde de verão! De seguida fomos levados a experimentar 3 entradas, sendo que a minha preferida foi sem duvida o bife tártaro com maionese de pimentão, uma combinação que me agradou muito. Após as entradas é quando nos apresentam o que eles chamam de "pausa"! Um pequeno shot de vodka e tomate que desafia sem duvida aqueles com paladares mais conservadores. Chegamos finalmente aos pratos principais, o ponto alto da experiência que não deixou nada a desejar. No entanto, desenganem-se aqueles que estão à espera de uma dose mais "bem composta", continuamos no registo de pratos pequenos de degustação. E por fim duas sobremesas simplistas mas que na verdade fazem um resumo de toda esta experiência. Aconselho vivamente que visitem e façam a "viagem" que é no fundo um menu que inclui todos os momentos da carta e que fica por €32 por pessoa. Se porventura decidirem escolher à carta acabam por chegar facilmente aos 35/40 por pessoa possivelmente sem bebidas. Quanto à carta de vinhos, apesar de ser pequena é bastante representativa de todas as regiões de Portugal e os preços não são nada altos, para além disso existem dois Douros de 2011 que é um ano excelente da região. Recomendo o Aneto Douro 2011. Por fim, foi tudo perfeito e sem duvida o que mais me agradou foi o facto de ser um sítio que prima pela descomplicação onde podemos observar e sentir que toda a gente está realmente confortável a desfrutar de uma excelente refeição e que mesmo toda a equipa está ao mesmo tempo a desfrutar do momento a sua maneira.
