Very professional service, delicious food, almost intimate setting and atmosphere. Very eye-pleasing interior design. Highly recommended. Please do not eat the spicy pepper that comes with the steak, unless you can handle some serious heat. The waitress almost fainted when she saw me eat it in one bite :)

It is not royal. The meat ordered was medium, received as rare, not even medium rare. The meat itself was not of the proper quality, lots of strings, unchewable. Much overrated

Wir waren spontan im 4 Royal und wurden positiv überrascht. Das Essen ist sehr gut und das Ambiente einladend. Aussergewöhnlich gut ist aber auch die Bedienung.

No suelo hacer criticas pero en esta ocasión la merecen. Teníamos reserva para las 22h, llegamos a las 21.30 y nos dijeron que hasta las 22h no podíamos entrar. No nos ofrecieron esperar allí, ni nada para tomar y mala cara por pedir ir al servicio un niño de 9 años. Regresamos a las 21.55 y nos volvieron a dar literal, con la puerta en las narices; hasta las 22h nada en un tono bastante altanero... con lo cual ante tal trato, 6 adultos y 2niños de 9 y 3 años nos aventuramos a buscar donde cenar un sábado en Oporto... La comida no dudo que sea buena, el trato pésimo... no regresaremos ni solos ni con niños.

4royal? ,visite hier soir , morue pour deux Servie à la place de grêlos du poivron vert pourtant à la carte ç est indiqué grelos , patates cuite à l eau et trop cuites aucun goût plat très sec sans saveur. Morue sans goût le chef cuisinier ne doit pas être du métier le cadre n est pas en rapport avec la cuisine. . L a note était bien salée par contre ... a fuir c est un attrape touristes Une honte !

Good food from the start to the finnish. The service was oustanding. Local wines with body and all characteristics of a good wine. Intimate.

A really excellent meal had by all in particular the chocolate sponge with tangerine ice cream which was to die for! Great service as well which was highly appreciated. Superb value for money and would highly recommend.

Tout simplement la meilleure entrecôte que j'ai pu manger dans un restaurant ! La cuisson était parfaite, avec une sauce délicieuse. Leur sangria était aussi parfaite pour débuter le repas, et le finir sur une note rafraîchissante et gourmande. En prime pour nous faire patienter au début : leurs pains maison avec leurs assortiments de beurres aux goûts différents. Un vrai régal du début à la fin. L'ambiance, le service étaient super également.

No se puede mejorar en ningún aspecto. Desde que entramos por la puerta nos atendieron con una gentileza y amabilidad excepcional. Los platos tienen una presentación exquisita y el sabor de cada uno de ellos ha sido increible, un auténtico lujo para el paladar. Se lo recomiendo a cualquier persona, pero si has ido a Oporto y no has comido en 4 Royal, no has aprovechado el viaje. Muchisimas gracias por todo.

We wanted to celebrate our last day in Porto with a wonderful meal. 4 Royal was excellent in every way. The food was amazing, the service was top notch, the atmosphere was elegant. Our best meal in Portugal which is saying a lot being that every meal was fantastic throughout our trip. 4 Royal is exceptional!

Would have been 5 stars but steak was rare not medium as requested. Service was tight and polite with good pairing info for Portuguese wines. It's small so make a reservation or you will be turned away like several people were as we dined. Good option for nice dining away from center.

A especialidade da casa, entrocôt com batatas fritas e salada, banhado com um molho secreto é realmente muito bom, mas não faz esquecer a Brasserie de l'entrecôt. O toque de caril no molho é arrojado e tenta criar uma identidade própria, parabéns. Aconselho um entrocosto não tão grosso ou talvez mais fatiado (atençãoa carne estava deliciosa). Voltarei seguramente.

Atendimento muito simpático, mas a comida decepcionou, o arroz de marisco não era fresco, a minha carne estava mal temperada e era rija. Apenas um dos pratos estava muito bom. Fizeram questão de não cobrar os pratos que não gostei, prática pouco habitual, mas que pretende agradar o cliente que sai insatisfeito. As sobremesas era muito boas.

Really nice experience, friendly service and great main dishes. We were recommended their signature dessert though and the ice cream and walnuts were nice but the French toast style bread it came on was soggy and the toffee beside it was basically a circular blob of glue which was fairly difficult to eat. I’d definitely recommend the steak and seafood rice, just wouldn’t have the dessert again.

Carne excelente no entanto os acompanhamentos são médios/fracos ( arroz de forno estava empapado, batatas fritas normais um pouco secas/frias). A excelente carne bem preparada merecia uns acompanhamentos muito melhores... sobremesas normais, nada que deixe vontade de repetir...

Had a really lovely meal here. The food was simple and comforting, nothing fancy but very well executed and fresh, which was exactly what we wanted. The service was also very good. The environment was clean and relaxing. A very good option for anyone want to have some classic portugese dishes in a comfortable setting.

We were lucky to get a table without a reservation. But we felt service was inattentive. We'd almost finished before anyone asked if all was ok. The Angus steak was delicious, but the plate was covered in salt so anything we put on our plates immediately became salty - and the green vegetables were already covered in salt!

Lugar excelente, sin ruidos. Comida exquisita, personal atento y servicial. Calidad-precio creo que razonable. Volveré.

This is a difficult one. I’m not 100% convinced I should rate 4 Royal 5*. And I sincerely hope my review will make sense to some people and at the same time point some flaws to be worked on. Let’s start with what they did get right. - Friendly service - Cosy and charming place - Tasty food ( especially the rice and sea food) - Extra, extra points for the hand towels in the toilet - Booked a table and did get it just 5 minutes over the time - Really, really tasty champagne (I might come back for that one) What, in my opinion they should improve. - There were too much light in the room. - My wife asked for medium cooked black Angus steak and it came simply rare. I understand it is difficult to get steaks to the right cooking point and I would have been ok with medium rare. But rare is far away from what we asked for. - Customers should never have to ask for water multiple times. If they are drinking table water, just leave a pitch on the table. It will definitely save the servers time and mostly important, it will not stress the customer. All in all, I do recommend this place. If you are not as fussy as me, you will probably have a great time. Don’t get me wrong, it is not that I didn’t have a great time. I did have a lovely time. However, there are other factors I consider when I’m willing to spend €€€. And these factors are important to mid to high ending hospitality places. Hope this help.
