Out of my four breakfasts in Porto this one was hands down my favorite place. The food is delicious! They have limited options but what they do, they do well. I got the pancakes: a pancake topped with yogurt, apples, toasted almonds, almond butter, and a syrup (which was amazing!)— I was told it was made of coconut, sugar, and syrup.

Época es nuestro lugar favorito en Oporto, desde que llegas adquieres una sonrisa en la casa que no se borra en todo el día. La comida es deliciosa, en especial recomiendo los Huevos Marroquíes y las tortitas con manzana. También destaca de este lugar el magnífico café, de Nomad o La Cabra, y el hecho de que son de los pocos lugares que ofrecen leche de avena en Oporto. El servicio es la gran clave de este lugar, pues son muy amables, rápidos y te asesoran.

Absolutely brilliant place. Tiny bit of Copenhagen in the heart of Porto. Everything I had was fresh and tasty and absolutely worth the price (would’ve paid even more for the quality!)

Best cafe in Porto.
In terms of perfect blend of great coffee, natural wines and genuinely incredible cuisine. Last but not the least the staff - passionate and friendly. As a cafe owner myself - I just love to find myself in places where I feel relaxed and satisfied indeed.

O Época é, sem dúvida, a minha mesa preferida no Porto. Custa-me que seja tão inevitável falar dele a toda a gente, até porque secretamente gostava que fosse um truque secreto na manga. This is an extremely friendly coffee shop where you can get organic home made food. Everything we ate was simple and delicious. We felt welcome and had a nice complete lunch with good wine a great dessert. Recommended.

A really nice place! The food is delicious especially the pancakes and there are all vegetarian options. Also they serve coffee with alternatives for cow milk which made me very happy as well! Really enjoyed this place!

Closed on Sundays?? Has the world gone mad?
I really wanted to repeat as Sunday brunch... Went there the other day and had the Turkish eggs and was wowed. Every dish around me looked great, my eggs were perfection and the artisanal bread is amazing, crunchy on the outside, consistent inside...
I can't understand the menu, could use some more photos or explaining, especially because each plate is photoshoot quality...
Cakes are tasty and on point. It's a pity it's small, once it gets popular it'll be unrepeatable. Enjoy it while you can.

Very cute hipster joint. Had poached eggs that came out perfect and their sourdough bread is SO good. Their freshly squeezed orange juice is smooth and delicious too. Would go again.

Such a healthy and alternative food option in Porto, unlike anything you will taste elsewhere in the city. The space is cozy and comfortable with lots of light. The prices are according to the quality offered. The coffee is amazing also completely different from what you are able to find elsewhere. We will definitely return here!

Absolutely wonderful cafe. My husband and I are always on the lookout for third wave coffee shops, and this one was especially delightful for me as I also loved the food! After days of eating meat and pastries for breakfast, I was craving eggs and veggies like I make at home. The eggs on green toast at Epoca was exactly what I needed, with a creative touch! Lovely coffee and lovely people, and extremely fair prices for a cafe of this quality. Don’t hesitate to go here!

Dope food and really nice service.
They vegan-ized our pancakes and made a real effort to make sure it worked. We were grateful for the effort! Worked so well. And really amazing dish, almond milk batter or not.
We also got a dish that had kimchi. As a korean, I’d like to say, they did it differently, but reallly good! I will try to replicate!
Give it a go.
So good we went twice!

I had the hummus toast, a Cappucino (with oat-milk) and a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice. It was absolutely amazing. Great service as well :)

It doesn't get better the Época, the food has depth of flavour and original creativity that you would expect in a Michelin star restaurant. The menu is seasonal and also changing daily. The coffee is extremely well done and you can see the attention to detail that the baristas put into every drink. If you could only do one thing in Porto it would be visiting Época.

ポルト在住の友人(日本人)にすすめられてきました。友人曰く｢なんでも美味しい｣と。あれこれ食べたくて悩みましたが、私はライスボールを注文(9euro)。
味付けしてあるまぜごはんに、パテやディップや野菜のマリネが乗っていて、ヘルシー丼って感じでした。
美味しく栄養も摂れて満足でした。
もっと早くに知ってたらまた行ってたと思います♪

Great place for a brunch or just coffee with some pastry. They bake their own bread and use local products to make their food. The staff is super nice and friendly. Excellent place!

great coffee, busy but cosy atmosphere, and one of the best breakfasts / lunches i've had in a while. homemade sourdough bread, skillfully poached eggs and delicious cake options.
it's probably not that easy to get a table all the time, so reservations might be a good idea :)

포르투에 있는 동안 두 번 방문했는데 귀리스프와 라이스볼이 맛있었어요. 귀리스프는 고소한데 많이 달구요. 라이스볼은 건강하게 따뜻한 밥 한끼 먹는 느낌이에요. 플랫화이트는 다른 카페에 비해 산미가 있고 진했습니다. 직원들이 친절합니다.

One of the food highlights of our trip to Portugal :). My husband and I were visiting Porto for the first time, from Canada, and found this place listed on the “raisin” natural wine app. epoca is everything I want in a brunch destination and I couldn’t have been happier. I had a delicious pet nat and the Turkish eggs, and we were pleased with the amazing service. Wish this place existed back at home. :)

Até agora o melhor flat white de Porto. Se o assunto é café vale muito a pena uma paradinha aqui. Não experimentei as comidas mas tinham caras muito boas e super frescas. Atmosfera agradavel para sentar ler um um livro, decoração simples e aconchegante.

Great brunch spot! Food was exceptional - we had the Turkish eggs and mushroom and lentil bowl. Loved them both. Coffee was strong, but good. The atmosphere was really nice and chilled (we sat and worked for 2 hours without feeling rushed) and the interior was beautiful. Staff were great despite it being rush hour. The only thing holding back the 5 star review was the matcha. I’m used to traditional Japanese matcha, and this version was quite watery (probably just needs a tad more hot milk and matcha powder). Definitely worth a special visit for the food and coffee though!

We loved this spot. A great little gem in Porto. The food was out of this world. Their bread was to die for. The Turkish eggs (first time) we're soon good. The ambience was perfect. Great little vibe. Definitely the best breakfast spot for us when we stayed in Porto.

핫플레이스인가 봐요. 평일 낮인데 끝 없이 손님들이 들어와요. 직원들이 정말 친절하고 음식도 맛있어요. 주기적으로 조금씩 메뉴가 바뀌나 봐요. 저도 라이스 볼 시켰는데 김치 대신 미소? 된장? 들어간 콩 페이스트 나왔어요. 라이스 볼도 같이 시킨 레모네이드도 맛있었어요!

The sourdough bread and eggs with Turkish spices is so good it makes me upset. I could probably eat that every single morning. Plus, really good coffee, cute/cool decor, and English-speaking staff; this place has it all.

We fell in love this place for several reasons; great food, friendly smiles and a good selection of books to accompany your meal.
The menu is short and sweet, but we still had difficulty deciding between all your classic brunch options, and the more adventurous dishes like the eggs on ‘green toast’ - slices of their homemade sourdough topped with a slathering of a delicious Swiss chard and herb purée, then covered in a lightly dressed kale salad, two perfectly fried eggs, crumbled feta and a touch of spicy siracha sauce. A healthy and very filling combination I’m sure you won’t find anywhere else in Porto. The brown rice bowl with kimchi, eggs and mushrooms was also delicious and worth the mention. We were super pleased to find matcha tea on offer, as well as a nice selection of freshly baked cakes which we’d like to sample more of next time.

By far my favorite breakfast/lunch/afternoon snack place in Porto. They use seasonal local farmers' produce which differs from day to day. Food made with love + welcoming owners + great music = you want to be back again and again :)

I was a bit hesitant at first as the cafe is quite “hip” unlike the traditional Portuguese ones but oh my the Latte and the French toast was so good. It was drizzled with honey, accompanied with nuts and ham and cream, simple food but somehow it just taste wonderful. Highly recommend!

Aunque el lugar te atraerá primero por su diseño minimalista hispertiano, volverás por el tranquilo y agradable trato. Lili te recibe con una cálida sonrisa que te hace sentir como si acabaras de entrar en casa de unos amigos.

Os pratos do dia eram excelentes o difícil era escolher. Arroz integral com kimichi estava de uma qualidade difícil de descrever. E um caldo com 3 feijões e feta fez me questionar porque nunca tinha comido algo assim na minha própria casa.
Recomendo. Muito. É acessível o preço , 15 euros duas pessoas dois pratos com sobremesa .

Great vegetarian rice dish and salad.

Época ist für mich einer der besten Orte in Porto, um zu frühstücken. Die Menüs sind superlecker, preisgünstig und auch die Tees (vor allem der Detox) sind sehr zu empfehlen. Die Bedienung ist sehr herzlich! Zudem ist das Lokal ist sehr gemütlich und einladend gestaltet. Perfekt :)
