Despite the fact that they were not open due to pandemic on the dates of our reservation, they resist/refuse to refund advanced payment. Offering only a future stay which we cannot use. Not responding to email. Very unfair, actually dishonest. Booking.com dragging their feet and little help. Never book a advanced payment reservation with this hotel.

Nuestro último hotel después de un viaje de 8 días. Fantástico, habitaciones confortables , desayuno impecable ( desayunas con mantel blanco con servilletas de tela , q ya esto no se estila y se echa de menos). Servicio con atención personalizada muy agradable. La terraza para cenar o tomar una copa estupenda. Y Evora es precioso con muchas cosas q ver y disfrutar caminando. Excursión de monumentos megaliticos recomendable. El hotel te explica fenomenal lo q hay q ver.

A great place to stay. Very friendly and helpful people, great breakfast, our room was large, clean and comfortable. Good location by the city wall, and less than 10 minutes walk to most of the restaurants in Evora. Would book it again.

Incredibly friendly and helpful staff, who truly made us feel like guests in their home. Nous avons passé une nuit dans ce superbe hôtel pour le prix de 116 euros petits déjeuners compris, à savoir que le petit déjeuner ne comporte que des produits BIO et frais. La chambre est spacieuse, très bien décorée et agencée ou se mêlent le fer forgé et le bois. Un grand merci à Juan et toute l'équipe pour leur professionnalisme et leur gentillesse. First and foremost, the attentiveness and professionalism of the whole ADC team is above and beyond, everyone is focused on making each guest's stay an exceptional experience. This combined with a great location - a short walk to the town center, historic sites, and restaurants, really does make ADC the prefect choice in Évora
The whole team at ADC is outstanding, but we would especially highlight Hugo and Daniela. Hugo manages the reception area, while Daniela oversees every detail of the amazing breakfast spread. Both Hugo and Daniela provided great recommendations for restaurants; road trips, and sites to see; all of which helped make our time in Évora memorable and special.
We loved our stay and are grateful for the warm hospitality and genuine smiles of the whole team. ADC was our home away from home, we didn't want to leave, and we will definitely be back!

A very warm welcome. A desire to elevate our stay. A true eagerness to be of service. We were weary from our daily travel and not wanting to go out to dinner. The staff accommodated us with scrumptious tapas and delicious local wines. The accommodations were comfortable and deluxe. The transformation of the old Olive factory using the vaulting and curves reflected their care of it's preservation. Breakfast was elaborate. A few buffet items to start while the kitchen prepared made to order items. Various local juices, bottomless cups of coffee and a very attentive staff made our stay exceptional. Upon our departure they even recommended a few stops along our route. A truly outstanding hotel!

Hotel da favola. A pochi passi dal centro. Personale molto cordiale e competente, sempre pronto a soddisfare ogni tua possibile richiesta. Ottima colazione internazionale, dal dolce al salato con la possibilità di farsi cucinare al momento qualsiasi pietanza. Le stanze ampie e arredate con tutti i confort sono la ciliegina sulla torta. Ampiamente consigliato a tutti, non ne rimarrete delusi.

He estado en hoteles más caros, con más lujo, con buen personal; pero en ninguno me han transmitido tan claramente que están ahí para que mi estancia en su ciudad sea inolvidable. Te ofrecen hacer reservas, te dan información de turismo, restaurantes, etc. Están en todo. Además el edifico es bonito y tiene una gran obra de rehabilitación.

Lovely well situated hotel with classy, educated, helpful staff. Our room was spotless, spacious and comfortable with a really good mattress and pillows and superior bed linens (A welcome change!) The buffet breakfast is ten star. Highly recommended.

UPDATE: Our stay in December was even better than we expected. The hotel is first class without being stuffy - comfortable, cozy, and within walking distance to restaurants, shops, ruins, etc. The best feature of this hotel is the people - everyone there cares about the comfort and well-being of the guests. Everyone at the front desk is a concierge, and can book tours, suggest where to eat, provide directions, take care of laundry, and even remind you where you are supposed to be when you are so tired from traveling that you have forgotten. Don't feel like going out for dinner? Light fare is served in the bar/living room area until about 10 pm, and it is all delicious (especially the curry/chick pea soup). Parking is on-site, and there is a courtyard with table and chairs to enjoy in nice weather. Breakfast is the best in Portugal: a buffet that is far from standard (everything is local and homemade), as well as eggs, etc., cooked to order, and American-style coffee. I have already recommended this hotel to several friends, and hope to visit again some day.
We have not yet stayed at this hotel; our booking is for December 2019. This review is to share the information about the service at this hotel so far: the people at the hotel have gone out of their way to provide information regarding restaurants, tours, and places of interest. They have corrected some wrong information I had (found due to Internet research), confirmed wine tour bookings, and made other arrangements for us ... Especially helpful during the holiday season. We can't wait to actually visit!

Excelente recepção, fomos recebidos pela Soraia que nos deu todas as informações sobre a cidade e a região, disponibilizando-se a nos ajudar no que fosse preciso, como reservas de restaurantes e visitas às vinícolas.
O quarto era simples e confortável, banheiro ótimo com excelentes amenidades de banho.
Café da manhã com produtos regionais, ovos feitos na hora, além de opção de panquecas e waffles. Tudo perfeito.
Localização muito boa, estacionamento. Voltaríamos sempre!

One of the best boutique hotels I’ve stayed at. The service was impeccable. Upon arrival we were greeted by a Daniella who was amazing at sitting down with us and and explainig everything we could do around the hotel. We also were served wine at arrival. They are so friendly and caring, it was incredible . Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience.

Hotel ADC was the perfect spot in Evora for my husband and me! Prior to arriving the concierge made appointments for us to visit a vineyard and olive orchard at my request. Everything was arranged prior to our visit, which was very helpful! The location was very convenient for walking inside of the ancient walled city and had on-site parking below ground. Upon arriving the front desk host and hostess were wonderful and charming. We were welcomed with a glass of wine, a map of Evora, and a map beyond the city walls. We stayed in a Room #8, a Superior room, and found it comfortable and spacious. Everything was perfectly in place throughout the hotel and we enjoyed spending evenings in the lounge area with a drink in hand. The breakfast was beyond delicious with plenty of fresh fruit juices, cured meats, yogurts, cheeses, and a hot menu to order from. Our breakfast hostess was sweet and wonderful every morning. Hotel ADC is doing hospitality right. I highly recommend booking here if visiting Evora.

Ive stayed at a lot of hotels in my life, and this is honestly one of the best experiences Ive had! The attention to detail and genuine hospitality from the staff are what truly makes this place unique. Sparkling clean room and bathroom, out-of-this-world breakfast buffet with locally sourced food, staff remembering your name and preferences - it really was a 5 star experience without the 5 star price tag. Location was convenient for all the sights, but far enough away to be a bit quieter. Underground parking was also definitely appreciated. Oh, and I loved the map provided by the hotel with their own suggestions and recommendations - it was really helpful. I think I might have to go back to beautiful Évora just to stay at this hotel again!

Desde el primer momento hasta la despedida me sentí muy bien, la bienvenida con una invitación a tomar vino, cerveza... Mientras, te explican que visitar lo que encuentras en el hotel y que visitar en Évora, el trato del personal de 10.
En el hotel hay biblioteca, juegos, ordenador con impresora, WiFi y un desayuno de primera con carta a elegir plato caliente y unas tartas riquísimas.
Lo recomiendo, la ubicación excelente para visitar la ciudad

This place is plain awesome. The service and authentic people who work in this small hotel are everything! The food was fantastic, and the rooms were spotlessly clean. We loved the cozy living room vibe of the common areas and the implicit invitation to sit and relax as if at home. Although we are vegan and they don't have a big variety of standard vegan fare, they did work hard to accommodate us...We ate quite well here (better than most restaurants), including a vegan cake in the mornings. This was a very kind touch, the kind of thing they do to make you feel welcome and wanted as a guest. We absolutely would return and wish we could find this kind of experience more often in our travels. Truly wonderful ❤️. Obrigada!

The staff went out of their way to be friendly, helpful and informative. It was the warmest welcome I have ever received in any hotel. We had a real one on one, heartfelt discussion meant to make our stay excellent. I read your binder and loved the way the staff each had a paragraph about themselves, which made for a real family away from home feeling. When I asked about some of the history, we felt they were not in a rush to get rid of us, but loved their job. Great vibs all around!

Service here is absolutely incredible. Over a free glass of wine, they sit down with you and show you on a map sights they recommend sering. They will also recommend restaurants and make reservations for you.The location is great. A short walk to everything. If you drove, they can park your car for you in their underground garage and retrieve it for you when you need it.

The reviews for this hotel were so good that I didnt think it could possibly live up to them but this was the best hotel experience I have ever had. It is a small hotel without any fancy facilities but they just do everything so well. The service is outstanding without in any way being intrusive and the breakfast was excellent, with a range of local produce and home made cakes. We are seriously considering a return visit to Evora just so that we can stay here again!

Best hotel I've ever been to. Never experienced a service so good and friendly. Attention to the small details. And what a breath-taking breakfast! Everything so fresh, tasty, local and organic. Finally, the location is also good. A walkable distance to the main attractions and restaurants (btw, ask for restaurant suggestions at the reception. You'll have some memorable experiences). It is a very pretty little boutique hotel. The checkin service was fantastic. They sat down with us and gave us a map of the area. They then pointed out the location of the sites on the map and gave us suggestions on where to eat based on what kinds of foods we liked. They also had dedicated parking for guest vehicles. Everything was within 20mins walk of the hotel. We booked online and prior to getting there they sent a welcome brochure with things to do as well. Worth the stay!!!!

Hier bin ich Stammgast. Das Haus bietet den typischen Komfort einer Albergaria. Es liegt im historischen Stadtkern, so dass von hier alles zu Fuß erreichbar ist. Besonders zu erwähnen sind die geräumigen Zimmer, dass vollwertige Frühstücksbuffet und das sehr, sehr freundliche Personal, das sich liebevoll um die Gäste kümmert.

This is our second time here and this time it was literally our destination. You will fall in love with each and every one of the staff. Each is an expert in some area of interest; archeology, Wine, food, history. Be sure to take advantage of the local archeology tours. Beautiful medieval town with great restaurants or eat there. Don't worry, when you arrive. Staff will park your car. Ask them ANYTHING! Best breakfast in the galaxy.

Auf unserer 19 tägigen Rundreise durch Portugal mit insgesamt 12 verschiedenen Unterkünften ist das Hotel in Evora mit am besten in Erinnerung geblieben.Saubere Zimmer, unglaublich liebevolles und hilfbereites Personal, Parkplatz in Tiefgarage und das mit Abstand tollste Frühstück. 4 oder 5 selbstgemachte Kuchen, frisches Obst und frischgepresste Säfte, alles bestellbar, was man sich wünscht. Ein Traum. Auch Mittags tolles Essen von Snacks über richtige Mahlzeiten.Rundum toll.

We have never had a better experience at any other hotel. The staff and owners create an inviting, friendly, personal, home-like atmosphere and do all they can to ensure that the guests have a wonderful time. It felt like we were staying at a friend's house rather than at a hotel. Next time we visit Evora, this is the only place we'll consider.

Michelle and Miguel were so welcoming. Their recommendations on things to do and restaurants were wonderful too. As soon as you arrive you are welcomed with a drink and they also assist with parking the car. Hotel is super cosy and well maintained. Breakfast was lovely. Will definitely stay again if in Évora.

My husband and I stayed at ADC for 1 night during our Portugal visit last week. In addition to Evora, we also visited Sintra and Lisbon, and our stay at ADC was hands down the favorite (cheapest too - great value). Beautiful property, clean bathrooms, delicious breakfast & tapas, and easy to get to with a car (plus its located near the outer perimeter of Evora, so you can avoid having to drive through the narrow streets and can enjoy the walk throughout the village). The entire staff was so friendly and accommodating - shout out to Raquel and Miguel for the friendly welcome and great service throughout the day. Its a really wonderful spot, and we would love to come back during our next visit to Portugal.

Nothing really to fault here, a great hotel. Local food recommendations were excellent & their own tapas & breakfast good too.
The underground parking is a bit tight, and you'll ground the front of a low-slung car on the way in: that's the only negative thing I can come up with!

Great location being just a 10 minute walk from the centre of the town. Really friendly and helpful staff. Have us a map and a detailed talk of where everything was when we arrived. Great breakfast too. Lots of variety, cooked breakfast was good too. Again, staff very helpful and friendly at breakfast. Nothing is too much.

Hotel located in a great spot..right inside the city walls. One of the cleanest hotels weve ever stayed in! Bathroom was sparkling! Breakfast was nice with a few menu items that you could order. The staff was very friendly and helpful!

We were amazed at how lovely the hotel was.We had a family room for the 3 of us...it was beautiful.The staff were incredibly gracious and helpful with finding dinner and activities that fit our family.The breakfast was INCREDIBLE! I wish I could transport myself to the hotel every day for breakfast.We were sad that we had such a short stay.

We loved our stay. The room was nice and the location (just inside the old city) was very convenient - easy to get to with a car but also easy to walk to all sights. We also found the breakfast to be the best in our three week trip through southern Spain and Portugal. The best part, however, was the entire staff was so friendly and helpful.

The staff and level of service at this hotel couldnt have been better. Its a beautiful, clean, quaint hotel in the center of town. Not far from Lisbon, its a perfect jumping off spot for day trips. And its so relaxing to come back to at night. The breakfast was phenomenal and sandwiches, cheeses, and breads available during the day and evening were excellent.

Greeted by unbelievable hospitality that continues every minute of our stay. Hotel was beautiful. Lovely courtyard to relax in between outing. Incredible staff happy to bring a drink or snack while you relax. We stayed 2 nights, and 3 days. Evora was amazing to explore, and the hotel directed us to an amazing nearby vineyard. Couldnt be happier!

Atención personal inmejorable. Uno de los pocos sitios donde compruebas que realmente se desviven por atenderte incluso en detalles de los que no tendrian porque ocuparse. Por la mañana, un buffet de desayuno realmente espectacular. Variado y de gran calidad incluyendo zumos naturales, platos calientes recien hechos.

This hotel offers one of the best breakfast I had the chance to have during my trip to Portugal. The room was comfortable and spacious. Unfortunately the wifi signal was weak in our room so I kept loosing the signal.

This a lovely boutique hotel to stay in with reasonable prices. I can’t praise the staff enough for ensuring we had everything that we needed to make our stay extremely comfortable and memorable. Our room was large with a very comfortable bed, desk, chair and well-designed marble bathroom. The car park is on site and free. The breakfast (buffet and cooked) was one of the best we have had while travelling in Southern Europe (delicious granola, yogurt and several good hot breakfast options to choose from).

Excelente hotel. Tratamento personalizado. Pequeno Almoço excepcional. A equipe nos ajuda em tudo da cidade. Reservam restaurantes e atividades da cidade além de muitas informações úteis. Os quartos são extremamente confortáveis. Ficamos em um suíte muito espaçosa e arejada com duas TVs e dois aparelhos de ar condicionado. Padrão 5 estrelas.

This is an excellent hotel. The staff is genuinely interested in making sure you have a nice stay. The breakfast is first rate. The rooms are large and beds very comfortable. It's very quiet. There is also on-site parking before the hotel.

It is often hard to live up to heightened expectations, but ADC accomplished it! Rachel set the tone at check-in making us believers immediately. Early check-in was allowed without hesitation. The room was everything we expected . . .size, location and comfort level. Breakfast was great. Most of all, the staff was attentive, polite, and professional.

Great hotel in a great location, the rooms are very nice, the staff very helpful and cheerful. The provided a great suggestion for dinner, Bistro Barao, a must for dinner. The breakfast in the patio was excellent. Nice to have underground parking onsite. Staff will park your car if you want.

Das Hotel bietet einen sehr außergewöhnlichen und herzlichen Service. Bereits beim Check-in erhält man eine Vielzahl von Informationen rund um Hotel und Stadt. Das Hotel liegt ca. 10 min fußläufig von den Hauptattraktionen von Evora. Auch das Frühstück hat mich aufgrund von Vielfalt und Geschmack absolut überzeugt.Das einzige was mir persönlich fehlte war vielleicht ein Lounge-Bereich im Außenbereich, um die lauen Sommernächte mit einem erfrischenden Getränk noch relaxter geniessen zu können.

Wir würden sehr freundlich empfangen. Wir erhielten eine ausführliche Beschreibung der Lage der Kulturdenkmäler, ein Booklet mit den zahlreichen Angeboten (Ausflüge und geführte Wanderungen) sowie Empfehlungen bzgl. der Restaurants. Es wird ein sehr umfangreiches und mit Liebe angerichtetes Frühstückbuffet angeboten.

Wir haben leider nur eine Nacht in diesem traumhaften Hotel verbracht. Das Personal ist super und spricht sehr gutes Englisch. Das Frühstück war erstklassig und auch sonst lädt das Hotel zum entspannten Verweilen ein.

Toutes les écoles hôtelières du monde entier devraient envoyer leurs élèves ici, pour quils apprennent le sens de laccueil, pour quils apprennent à sourire, pour quils apprennent à exercer avec grâce et talent, un métier difficile !Facile à trouver, idéalement située à lune des portes de la ville historique, dotée de tout le confort et équipée de surcroît dun parking souterrain, lAlbergaria est parfaitement décorée, dans un style à la fois cosy et simple, agrémenté de quelques trouvailles de décoration agréables à l’œil.Bar bien pourvu, offrant de plus, une petite restauration très satisfaisante pour le client, touriste ou non, préférant une soirée tranquille sur place.Lattention souriante constante de tout le personnel est à souligner.

We had a great stay here. The hotel is well located just a few minutes walk away from the main sites and good restaurants. Its quiet and relaxing, with spacious rooms. The staff was great to us, greeting us and proving us with some refreshments upon arrival. They gave us information on the city and let us know restaurants we should visit (make sure to visit them, because the recommendations were spot on!)
We only had one problem with the room, the bathtub did not drain so well. We brought this to the attention of the staff, but not sure if the problem has been taken care of.
Would recommend this place to anyone.

I have absolutely no complaints about this hotel. The staff did an exceptional job helping us with reservations, explaining the main attractions, and their friendly attitude put a smiled on your face. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that their guess we're happy and taken care of. The breakfast was included in our room. Unfortunately we slept through breakfast the first day and learned the following day how amazing it was. More hotels need to learn what customer service is from ADC. I would highly recommend this hotel and wouldn't think twice about staying someplace else.

We can find no fault with this hotel. If it were possible it would be great if they offered a dining service, as you have to go out to eat in the evenings. There are restaurants close by, but it would have been pleasant to stay in. I would highly recommend this hotel if you were staying in Evora.

Every hotel should be like this: gracious staff who respond to your every request, in a beautiful environment (both within the hotel itself and in the city of Evora). Drinks and snacks available 24/7, great insights and recommendations to help visitors get the most out of their visit, reasonable prices. Unusual recreational options: go on an archaeology dig, learn Portuguese, bake a traditional cake. We LOVED this hotel and will return if we get the chance although it's on the other side of the world and not located in a "standard" tourist stop.

The Albergaria do Calvario was our first stop on our two week trip to Portugal and couldnt have been a better choice. We arrived after a sleepless night of travelling and the warm greeting we got from Nina as we pulled in made us feel so completely welcome. She grabbed my suitcase and bounded up the steps with it. Our room was attractive and roomy and the bed extremely comfortable. The breakfasts really are as great as other reviewers said - everything was super fresh and delicious. Peters personal touch and interest in each guest as he serves is yet another special touch. We were given excellent recommendations for restaurants and places to visit in the area (dont miss Monsaraz!). A really special place to stay with exceptionally warm hosts.
