la conservación del edificio y su ambiente es muy buena, acondicionado lo suficiente sin dejar de estar en Évora cuando entras (en otros estás en Evora y cuando entras al hotel estás en Nueva York o Melbourne, y eso no mola).El servicio también es estar en Évora, educado, pero no artificioso.

The hotel is rated 2 stars but the hotel staff were very nice and for the price was good. Breakfat was included each morning and had a variety of options although eggs were extra. Historically the hotel was inhabited in the 16 century by Nobels. People here are nice, prices while good are more than other small towns in Portugal. The wine both red and white are good and mostly reasonable. The ceilings in the room is vaulted. No elevator available so pack light. My bathroom had issue with the hairdryer falling off the wall. The hotel taped it back up and the shower head kept fallinhg off. The bed was comfortable overall but a little soft for my taste.

Iba con una persona usuaria de silla de ruedas. El hotel se promociona como apto para minusválidos. Nada más lejos de la realidad.
Carece de ascensor. La forma de superar unas inmensas escaleras es entrando por la puerta de atrás que hay en una plaza a las espaldas del hotel. La silla de ruedas no entra en la habitación si no es apartando muebles.
En absoluto es un hotel apto para personas con alguna dificultad en la movilidad.
Muy incomodo. La calefacción se basa en split de aire acondicionado que no dan suficiente potencia calorífica. Los radiadores de la paredes están de adorno.
Los inodoros muy bajos: para las personas mayores esto es muy poco adecuado.
En mi cuarto, a 4 metros de altura la ventana del cuarto de baño permanentemente abierta, por lo que se pasaba frío en la ducha.
En la pequeña sala de estar nos encontramos a una mujer durmiendo en el sofá (tal vez el único sofá) como si fuera su cama…
Se confundo lo viejo (deteriorado) con lo antiguo. Muy deteriorado y poco cuidado.
Aparcar en la zona es una tarea muy complicada.
Mover una silla de ruedas por la parte antigua de Evora en una misión imposible.

Hotel con mucho sabor, lugar de un antiguo palacete con muebles suntuosos, extraordinaria relación calidad/precio, en pleno centro de Evora, buen desayuno tipo buffet, muy limpio y personal muy agradable.
El inconveniente al igual que todos los hoteles del centro es la falta de aparcamientos gratuitos, debido a lo estrecho de las calles y que todo es zona azul, con un máximo de 5 euros por cuatro horas, más no puedes comprar de una vez, tienes que llevar el coche fuera del centro para encontrar aparcamientos gratis.

Perfect place to stay in Évora. I would choose again to stay here because its so beautiful and staff is just a delight! An historical and amazing inn with a renaissance flavour. Loved it!

We stayed one night while motoring through the portugese interior. Our room was clean and quiet. The bath was very clean.
The location inside the medieval walls is very convenient to the hospital pattern of town. We enjoyed wandering the streets to explore.
Bar and terrace are delightful, and the breakfast for 7€ each is a decent value.
Be advised that there is NO ELEVATOR. You must walk up 2 flights of steps to enter the hotel. With your luggage. If your room is not on the 1st floor, you must walk up again. With your luggage.
The interior of the hotel is a bit labrinthian. Guest rooms could use a small face lift. The bath could use better lighting. Other than that the hotel is quite nice.

Quarto desconfortável, televisão com péssima imagem, mau funcionamento de WI fi, a porta da casa de banho não fecha e a canalização cheira mal. NÃO RECOMENDO. por sorte apenas fico uma noite.

L albergo è situato in un bel palazzo storico ricco di fascino e di atmosfera .Il personale è gentile ma assolutamente insufficiente risultato è un po' tutto molto trasc urato , pulizia in primis, televisore non funziona,la porta della stanza si chiude solo con la chiave ...mancano servizi dovuti anche se fosse più economico

El lugar es muy bonito, las habitaciones normales un poco viejillas sobre todo las puertas que no encajan bien, está muy bien situado pero llegar en coche y sobre todo aparcar está bastante complicado

Lovely, quaint hotel! But, be aware it does not have an elevator! The lobby is on the second floor with long steps to climb. Also, it is inside the wall of Evora and parking is difficult to find. You may have to park outside the wall and carry your luggage in and up all those stairs, so pack light! Our room was comfortable and had 2 twin beds pushed together. The bed was not as comfortable as other hotels we stayed in in Portugal. It was too hard. Staff was very nice, hotel was clean. It was rather noisy, though.

Very nice antique building in the heart of the historic city with a lot of antique furnitures. Staff is very nice. Clean and safe. Breakfast is not included but you can pay 5 euros and have a nice continental buffet.

Great 500 year old hotel. Lots of character and charm. We really enjoyed the breakfast. Loved the outdoor patio balcony. The room does not have a lot of outlets so if that is a priority for you perhaps this is not the hotel for you. We enjoyed it!

Nice place in the centre of town but still in a quiet location. Great balcony that can be used to get away from the crowds. Call ahead for directions if driving. Google maps is not the bet for navigating the maze of medieval streets

Hotel bien ubicado, en el centro de la localidad. Desayuno tipo bufet variado. Habitaciones limpias y grandes con una pequeña terraza.
Personal muy amable.
Wifi en todo el edificio.
Toda la zona tiene limitación de aparcamiento por ORA de 9 a 19 horas.
Hay que tener cuidado ya que desde allí comienza la zona peatonal y si no te das cuenta te metes en pleno centro

Muy poco personal el que hay no puede hacer más de lo que hace, esta noche hemos llegado hace 10 minutos y nos henos encontrado que no han hecho la habitación. Esta descuidado, no lo recomendaria a nadie.

the breakfast was just as good as a 4 star resort hotel that I stay at !!!! . The hotel price was good for for stay. Very economical. The place look like a palace outside. The hotel has a side entrance which leads to some restaurants. The have a lounge area. The only downside was the Wi-Fi was so so, spotty

This is a wonderful place. In a fascinating 17th-century nobleman's home, it's wonderfully located, cozy and welcoming. You will not find a more gracious pair of hostesses than Miss Sandra (who bakes!) and Miss Helena. Be aware there are stairs and you must carry your own bags. Stop in front of the hotel with the flashers on and, ideally, someone in the car & the gracious ladies will help you sort it all out.

A beautiful hotel with a historic charm and within walking distance to everything. The room was basic , lovely bathroom.The staff were very helpful and cheerful. Parking possibilities right outside the hotel too!

Das Hotel hat Charme. Die Lage ist super. Einiges ist stark renovierungsbedürftig. Als Paar sollte man auf jeden Fall zwei Einzelbetten nehmen. Das Doppelbett hat nur 1,40m Breite und nur eine gemeinsame Decke. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück dem Preis entsprechend okay.

The location was excellent but difficult for us to find because we were driving. I would not recommend driving inside the walls for anyone visiting. Park outside and take a taxi to your hotel. The weather was cool on our visit and we especially enjoyed the fireplace in the bar room. This is a very old property that has been updated in many areas since it was changed from a private home to a hotel in 1893. Lots of stairs so if you are carrying more than an overnight bag this isnt the hotel for you. I would return to this hotel. The staff were very helpful and kind.

Estive hospedada 4 dias 3 noites neste hotel. Sinceramente não gostei fiquei num quarto casal pequeninissimo, sem TV só com um canal o comando nao funciona sem wi fi , e tudo isto estava no site quando alugamos o quarto. Logo no primeiro dia quando chegamos o meu marido foi ter com a recepcionista a pediu outro comando , quando entregaram o 2 comando verificamos que o problema nao era do comando mas sim da instalação por cabo e dissemos que queríamos o assunto resolvido. A que a recepcionista adisse que ia transmitir aos superiores, e quando chegamos a noite fomos informados que nao poderia ser revolvido teia de ir já um funcionário fazer tal reparação. Verifico aqui que o problema já vem de longa data logo estas pessoas nao tem competência para gerir uma casa daquelas
Também uma noite quando fui tomar banho tinha um bicho de todo o tamanho na casa de banho que fotografei e apresentei a empregada.
50€ por noite , não merece

Good location for shops, restaurants and touring the city. Even parking wasnt too bad. Be aware of noisy preschool behind hotel and the potential for noisy drunk students at night.

We were disappointed in hotel. It is very old, but not particularly elegant. Old and worn. I also was disappointed that there were no gardens and comfortable common areas. We knew it was an old estate and that sounded great but it was a little worn.

The only 'suite' was ok except it smelled of sewage. A replacement room was just too tight and under equipped. Not a good facility even if well located . I wouldn't repeat.

Hotel sympathique dans une vieille maison style manoir portugais.
Les chambres sont bien toutes modernisées avec tout le confort nécessaire.
Les places sont chères et il vaut mieux se garer à l'extérieur des murailles ce qui fait loin à pied avec des valises.
Le personnel est multilingue et super agréable.

Nice hotel in the heart of old city walls. Parking is at hotel but very limited and you need to pay the meter ever 4 hours. This isn't a big issue since you are within 10 minutes walk from all the main sites. Rooms are clean, beds comfortable, and bathroom European small but sufficient. Breakfast is ample and well served. Staff is very nice and helpful. A well run small hotel.

An old converted Manor house in the heart of Evora. We drove there and discovered that it's best to park outside the city walls to elude parking fees--although I never saw anyone buy a parking permit from the ubiquitous dispensers or any vehicle get a ticket. I love the porch area in front of the main entrance overlooking the shaded street with jacaranda trees. Staff served drinks from a little bar inside. We had to change rooms due to a leaking AC unit dripping onto the floor. Our new sleeping quarters were just as spacious but the bathroom was tiny with a shower that looked like a converted foot bath. The AC worked and the room was quiet which is more than I can say for the drunk students carousing along the street below us at all hours of the night. There is a nice continental breakfast from 8 to 10. The place has tons of charm and a great location. Bring ear plugs.

I picked this hotel because it had one room that could sleep three people. The room had a fabulous bathroom with good water pressure and a bidet. We did not see their "standard" 2 person rooms. The desk was staffed 24hrs a day with very kind people. The included breakfast was quite nice. You should believe the guide books when they recommend parking outside the town wall and either walking or taking a bus in to the hotel areas. Our rental car very nearly had to be airlifted out of an ever-narrowing alleyway.

Super Lage, top Personal (freundlich und hilfsbereit).Das Zimmer hatte eine einfache Ausstattung, Bad etwas klein, aber alles sauber und das Bett komfortabel.Jederzeit wieder, die Location ist nicht zu toppen, und für den Preis bekommt man vermutlich keine bessere Leistung.

El precio desmesurado. La pousada era mas barata. Las puertas no cierran, no ha sido remozado hace siglos. Tuvimos q desayunar con abrigo puesto. El frio era horrible. No lo recomiendo a nadie. MALISIMA RELACION CALIDAD PRECIO.

We enjoyed the authentic monastery character and old furniture (e.g. beautiful chairs and tables in dining room). The receptionist personally took us to our room, which had a high ceiling, marble bathroom and balcony. Cozy public rooms and a cool, outdoor balcony were some other nice facilities.

This is rated as a 5 star hotel and definetly is not:
- there was no elevator or a person to assist with the luggage, no parking place (even though it specifies there is parking space), no hot water in the rooms, many times the reception was with no operator to assist us, the service was horrible. It is very difficult to find the hotel (you should know how to get into the center of Evora, and only then will see signs for the hotel). If you are looking for a 4-5 stars hotel, this is not the place, barely a 3 (and I've been to better guest houses than this).

O Edifício é muito bonito apesar de estar um pouco despresado, atendimento simpático, pequeno almoço pobre, a televisão no quarto não apanhava nada e a água para tomar banho não tinha pressão e estava fria, situação inaceitável.

This is a very pleasant characterful old building furnished to match. Our bedroom was large and clean with two tall shuttered windows looking out to the small plaza below. Breakfast is a well designed buffet selection. Once we had our bearings and a map! It proved easy to wander Evora from this hotel. The assistance from the unfailingly pleasant Carmen Miranda on reception also made this a place to recommend.

I could not put my camera away the entire time I was here. Everywhere I turned in the hotel I took another picture. From the tiles, to the furniture to the beautiful flowers, this place was a picture book hotel of Portugal. The room was small, but very pretty and who spends a lot of time in your room when vacationing in Portugal? The breakfast buffet was prepared with great care, and the food was fresh and delicious, especially the breads. The staff was professional and helpful. The price was very reasonable, especially for such a beautiful place. It was by far the prettiest hotel I stayed in, while in Portugal.
