Fuimos anoche a cenar allí y nos sentaron dentro pero al lado de la puerta, que estaba completamente abierta y teníamos frío. Se lo comentamos al camarero e hizo caso omiso. Además tuvimos que esperar más de una hora para que nos trajeran la comida! Aunque la comida estaba bien, no compensó la experiencia.

Fantastico trovarsi a Porto e gustare le specialità della nostra terra Italia Abbiamo mangiato la pizza "il pizzaiolo" con pomodoro mozzarella buttata speck e rucola: buonissima è dire poco. Qualità eccellente personale cortese. Da consigliare!!!

Las pizzas están buenas, pero la experiencia en sí no es agradable. Esperamos más de una hora después de pedir la cena, el vino que nos sirvieron nada más llegar se quedó caliente y cuando llegaron las pizzas estaban frías y las deboramos en 5 minutos. Por muy buenas que estén no se disfruta.

We ordered the lunch menu which is a great deal for €8.95 and includes soup+drink+main+coffee. The food was pretty good and when we ordered the coffees at the end, we asked the waiter if it's regular coffee only. He explained that we could also order espresso/cappuccino etc. which we did. When the bill came, there was an additional cost of €2.50 for the cappuccino and €2 for the espresso and the manager said that our waiter has only been working there for a week and that she'd let him know. Unfortunately, that's all we got and had to pay for the waiter's oversight which ruined the experience.

UN.BE.LIEVABLE. excellent food. Couldn't believe I wasn't in Italy. The truffle risotto is amazing, pizza is soft, orange juice is fresh and the location is superb! The price is also very low. Definitely recommend eating here.

Leider super unhöfliches Personal. Besonders der eine Kellner im Außenbereich scheint Gäste vertreiben zu wollen. Restaurant war ca halb voll, aber essen sollte 45 min dauern! Pizza ging dann zum Glück schneller und war auch gut.

I'll admit, I wasn't planning on eating Italian food when I went to Portugal but Il Pizzaiolo managed to create a perfect mix between the little bit rustic vibe of the Portuguese kitchen and a real Italian pasta. Same goes for their delicious appetizers. We came in during lunch, when it was still very quiet, but I know they can be packed during the evening.
We had the garlic bread with mozzarella, which is simply to die for and makes you want to eat nothing else for the rest of the day, a pizza margherita, and the linguini nero e gambi. The linguini might have been one of the best pasta's I've ever eaten. The shrimps were grilled to perfection and the pasta was not overpowered by the taste of the squid-ink. The olive oil used to season the entire dish was a mild one, which requires a compliment to the chef cooking the dish. The taste of the shrimp and the herbs was never overpowered by the oil. I was not as much impressed by their pizza's, but this is not because they weren't good but mostly because I'm personally a big lover of a lot of cheese on my pizza.
But note to the owner (I promised them I would do this): your staff wants a new portable pin! ;-)

Delícia de lugar. Fomos duas vezes: janta com pizzas e almoço com pratos. O diferencial está nas pizzas, com sabores muito diferentes e muito gostosas. Recomendo a carbonara.

Péssimo atendimento e gestão de negócio . Não aceitam reservas com a desculpa de que estão completos para o dia mas a ideia é ter mesas livres para turistas que gastam mais. Gerente antipático e presunçoso. Não valorizam o cliente e por este motivo não recomendo. //
Really Bad service and management.
This restaurant doesn't take bookings with the excuse of being fully booked on the day but the real reason is that they want to have free tables for tourist whom normally spend more money than locals. The Restaurant manager is rude and bumptious. They don't value customers and for that reason, I don't recommend.

Great pizza with light and tasty base. We had vegetarian pizza without mozzarella. The pizza came on a wooden rustic tray, and it was delicious. The service is fast and the staff is very welcoming and friendly. I would definitely recommend Il Pizzaiolo to anyone visiting Porto for a tasty pizza!

I think this is the best Italian and pizza restaurant in Porto. I’ve been here twice so far and had the mushroom pizza , the garlic bread with mozzarella and pepperoni, the aubergine parmigiana and the tiramisu and everything has been perfection (with the exception of the aubergine parmigiana - which come out frozen on the inside and I sent it back and they made a new one which came out cold on the inside. It also has way too much tomato sauce and lacks flavor). Otherwise everything else is the right blend of being just perfect, but not being over the top and the price point is on point.

On a very busy Friday evening we found a table here and had some great pizzas. Good service, my pizza with burrata was excellent - great pizza dough, cooked in wood-fired oven, with a few simple toppings then a whole burrata (creamy mozarella) dumped in the middle. Combination of hot pizza with cool creamy cheese was great.

I'd like to recommend and leave a mostly positive review for this place. I've eaten in several pizzerias in Porto, and in most of the cases it was a disappointment!! A huge disappointment, because after you live in a place for a while, you start craving for other things, we need variety from the traditional local cuisine. And after so many centuries of proximity and globalization, you'd think that there'd be some good pizza in Porto, well, it's not so easy. The pizza, calzone and salads at Il Pizzaiolo are really great and tasty! Their lemonade was also, delicious and refreshing! The white chocolate mousse was a delight! However, in the same day I went there for a late lunch and spent over 20E, which is considerable expense for 1 person in Portugal, I met some people new in town and after some great adventures through town, we ended up where? well, basically on Rua Gallerias de Paris, searching for an affordable restaurant, and I mentioned this one on the parallel street R. de Cândido dos Reis, and craving for some pizza, my friends chose to go there; so after a matter of 3 hrs, I was back to the same place I had just had lunch. I didn't eat again, just ordered a lemonade, had drunk wine there earlier and more w. my friends. It turns out that I was thirsty and the lemonade was a little on the strong side, so I asked for a glass of water to the same waiter (for thirst and to dilute my lemonade a little). I got the (usual) reply from the waiter (who had been all congenial + flexible 3 hrs earlier), "we do not serve water" - of course, I'm aware of this ridiculous petty habit most portuguese restaurants have, with intent that you pay for bottled water, soda or drinks so they can make a profit, I know, it's the beverages that bring the most profit to a restaurant (I had one). Well, it's absurd, times are changing, you're charging way more than restaurants used to, you're getting millions of tourists every year! Get on with modernity and humanity, it's inhuman to refuse a glass of tap water to a costumer. I had just eaten there and spent a good sum, I had ordered now, and my 5 friends were eating and drinking plenty! I wasn't asking for a glass of water for free, I brought business, I plan to return! And even if I had not brought my friends, I ordered, so please, just give me a glass of water! - no, I'm not picking on just this one venue, I'll write it in all portuguese restaurants that I review! You want tourists, expats like me, you want people to return and even recommend your joint? Well, don't be cheap! If people sit & order food, give them some dam water!

Das ist sehr gut. Was mich gestört hat,war das dieser Typ am Empfang zu uns meinte es sei alles voll und reserviert und das die nur draußen Plätze haben. Dann saßen wir draußen und sehen das ständig irgendwelche Leute die nicht reserviert hatten rein gingen und platz bekamen, dann bin ich rein gegangen und und hab ihn darauf angesprochen und prombt haben wir einen Platz drinnen bekommen..

Went inside because of the cozy ambience and good looking menu, with a couple of vegetarian pizzas. The lasagna was very nice and the pizzas were made behind the bar in a stone oven and tasted good. The staff was friendly.

Niveau prix on peut s'en tirer oiur 15 euros le repas avec boisson sans trop de difficultés

This place has the best pizza I have ever eaten in my life, and I'm from the NY/NJ area and I've been all over Italy. The pizza with burrata is literally the tastiest thing ever. We went here two days in a row we loved it so much. Wish the garlic bread had more pieces, but it was still tasty.

The space is good with warm dim lights, creating a comfortable atmosphere.
Because this place is soo good, you probable should wait to enter, so reservations for the peak hours is usually a good ideia!

Perfecto todo. Vajilla limpia, platos limpios, cristalería limpia, el servicio atento y amable. Precios razonables. Yo pedí el menú del día, sopa, plato principal, bebida y café por sólo 9 euros. Además, en el interior se está muy a gusto. Fui dos veces a almorzar, y si vuelvo a Oporto, repetiré. Totalmente recomendable.

Italian restaurant with a good approach to Neapolitean Pizza. Decent food (tried the Garlic Bread, and two pizzas Braseaola and Guanciale), good location and atmosphere. Desert (Tiramisú with Nutella) left a bit to be desired. Coffee (expresso was good). Overall a positive experience but very expensive prices (vs quality) may put you off of repeating the venue.

Nettes Restaurant in zentraler Lage von Porto. Ich habe mir dort spontan eines Pizza to Go bestellt. Das Personal hat mich direkt im Empfang genommen und nach meinen Wünschen gefragt. Wir wurde ein Sitzplatz angeboten.

We came upon I'll Pizzaiolo on a Saturday afternoon. The place was very busy but we were able to get a table inside. The atmosphere is vibrant and Chic.
Menus were promptly presented and our order was taken and drinks served..
Our entrees, Risotto Esparagos Pinho (13€) and Pollo Pizza that was topped with arugula and sun-dried tomato (9.90€) were served in a timely manner. Unfortunately the Risotto was very salty and our server took it back and they made us another one. Our server confirmed that the chef had tasted the Risotto and agreed that it was too salty.
The Risotto portion was on the smaller side for 13€. The pizza was perfect. I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't because of the Risotto snafu.

De pizza oven staat ingesteld op 354°C. Dat maakt de pizza's erg lekker. Het is een leuke oven om te zien, een bijna echte houtgestookte oven. De bar is gemaakt van een zee container. Super leuk verzonnen.
Het is er erg druk. Het personeel doet erg makkelijk tegen nieuwe gasten wanneer we geen plaats meer is een sturen ze weg. Voor 4 personen waren ze vol, terwijl we wel 2x2 plaatsen vrij waren. Binnen enkele tellen, waren die tafels ook bezet. In principe hoeven ze het dus niet van klantvriendelijkheid te hebben, echter dat waren ze wel. Vriendelijk personeel die ondanks de drukte wel gezellig en praatje kwamen maken.
De rand van de pizza heb ik laten liggen. Die was wat zwart geblakerd, wat ik niet lekker vind

Pizza très correcte. Et vu que les vraies pizzeria ne sont pas légion à Porto, n'hésitez pas à réserver, si vous ne voulez pas trop patienter devant.

Really slow service, bruschettas and pizza were edible and had a unique taste, but I wouldn't order them again. The men's wc had two one open stall but with a completely broken seat. The waiters left the front and back doors open and I ate my pizza shivering.
If nothing else is open, this will provide some nourishment, but not a memorable experience.

I echo many other reviews, totally ignored by the waiters to the point I had to go and ask for menus and then after 10mins had to go to the counter and ask if I can order my food. The place was empty also.... pizza was good though (4.5 star pizza)

The staff was totally amateur. At least 6 waiters unable to take care of their restaurant. All of them seemed confused, randomly serving tables and bringing food and drinks one by one in no order, and all of this was observed by some nice dressed manager guy, that probably never worked in a restaurant before. The last drop was charging us for a wine we didnt order, that was more expencive, to wich they replied it was our problem we didnt check what we were drinking. Really amateur. I dont recomend !

One of the worst place ever. We came there our first night in Porto. Everybody was totally confused there and six waiters were running from one place to another doing nothing, only changing their positions. Waiter brought us different and more expensive wine, he charged it to us, that it is our fault to accept it. If you dont want to waste your time, please go somewhere else!

We really enjoyed our supper at the pizzaiolo. The pizza was really good but the lasagna... OMG!! So good! Handsdown the best lasagna we had since we visited italy. Overall the prices where really good, under 40euro for two people including staters and a bottle of wine. Highly recommand this restaurant.

Muy buena la cocina, Permitían buenísima. Son un poco lento. Tardaron bastante en servir la comida. Camarero muy poco profesional, sirve una copa de tinto para catarlo y antes de que deje de gotear se puso a hablar con una chica de la mesa de al lado, el chorreón de tinto cayó en mi hombro y en la chaqueta que tenía en la silla.

Nice place to eat away from the über tourist joints. The staff were friendly and very accommodating to get us seated on a busy evening without a reservation. I’d recommend reserving ahead if your planning to eat around peak times.
The starters and pizzas are pleasant and will fill you up. For an extra kick try the chilli powder, be warned, it’s hot!

Waited one and a half hours for a small pizza. Staff didn’t reach out to us at all during this period. They didn’t excuse the long waiting time either..
Don’t expect to be able to add a topping on your pizza, not even something as simple as rocket salad.

No llegamos a entrar. El camarero me obligó a levantarme argumentando que tenía que limpiar la mesa, la falta de educación y de profesionalidad de este empleado hay que resaltarla y llamarle al orden. Si se sirve de referencia es un chico de unos 25 años y de rasgos magrebí con perilla.

My wife & I waited for 15mins to order after we had already been seated with menus. There was a single waiter who was going in & out but refused to acknowledge us & another table wishing to pay their bill. After a single walk-in was seated, ordered his beer, received his drink & then proceeded to place his food order, I went inside to ask for service. The waiter stopped me & was very rude as to why I went inside. I told him my wife & I had been waiting for some time as was another table. The waiter then came outside, took our order but was very rude during the process. He then went inside with a huff & started throwing his menus around, visibility agitated, so we immediately left. A tourist location like this is only as good as it's staff, which is a shame because the food actually looked good. 1 star because I didn't want to try the food after such a bad experience...

The food is nice but the service is not very good. We arrived late but were sited and all were problems. We were told to order soobln because the kitchen was going to close (they could have told us before sitting us) and when we ordered 2 min later we could only order pizza, not even salad. I said we only want to order if we can get also a salad (anything else was anyway not an option). Finally we got also the salad. The food was ok, price was good but service very average.

Tuve muy mala experiencia en este lugar. Fuimos a cenar y pedimos 2 platos. Después de esperar un buen rato, nos trajeron 2 platos distintos a los pedidos insistiendo en que eso era lo que habíamos pedido. Mientras seguían sentando gente para cenar, nos dijeron que era imposible prepararnos nuestros platos porque la cocina estaba cerrada. Así que solo nos dieron la opción de comernos los que nos habían traído desde el principio.

Espacio super aseado sin embargo recomiendo ir si visitas oporto los camareros son muy hamables i los platos de comida muy buenos lugar muy limpio con poco alboroto.
Sin duda recomiendo la sopa de tomate está riquísima igual que los espaguetis a la carbonara.
Eso sí café be con cuidado con lo que pides se confunden i no es el acertado pero por lo demás le doy un 10 sobre 10.

Pizza cooked as it should be! Absolutely loved this find. I ate from the executive menu which was only about €9. For this you get soup, a main, a drink and a coffee. I had tomato soup and the ventricina pizza which were both excellent along with the house red wine. A must visit if you are in Porto and want a pizza.

This place was so nice, great music gently playing in the background. The food was amazing we had a starter garlic bread with mozzarella and pepperoni. For mains we tried something different from the usual pizzas and we were very impressed by the taste and presentation. We ordered the Linguine Nero e Gambi and Marinaro, the flavours were well put together.
The staff were so lovely and polite. Would definitely come back here when we visit Porto again.
We came to the restaurant at a busy time and we're able to get a table, which was a bit risky. I would advise to book a table to avoid disappointment.

O meu filho possui alergia ao leite, em qualquer local, restaurante de bairro ou grande cadeia, nunca tinha tido dificuldades em que adaptassem de forma ligeira e razoável uma opção da carta ao meu filho. Neste caso mostraram-se inflexíveis em o fazer, com argumentos pouco convincentes.

El local es bonito, acogedor y amplio, tiene un rollo minimalista industrial.
El personal es muy atento, educado y meticuloso. Están pendientes de ti en todo momento, para que no te falte de nada y todo esté a tu gusto.
No han tardado ni en atendernos ni en servirnos, a pesar de estar lleno el local.
Las pizzas son estilo napolitanas, muy ricas y abundantes. Se nota que tanto la masa, cómo los ingredientes son de calidad.
Los postres están de vicio, sobre todo la panacota de sandía, que a parte de original esta muy buena y muy bien presentada.
El precio está en la media de casi cualquier restaurante italiano, ni barato, ni caro.
Nos ha llamado la atención los canelones de ricota y espinaca, ya que tenían un toque a limón, lo cual al no estar acostumbrado te choca un poco al primer bocado, pero estaban buenos.
Es un buen lugar para celebraciones en familia o amigos.
Los fines de semana, es casi obligatorio reservar mesa, ya que está muy concurrido.

Surpreendeu muito pela positiva. Espaço muito agradável no interior, bastante acolhedor e com serviço muito atencioso. Atendimento foi super rápido e muito saboroso. Conseguimos mesa sem reserva e fomos muito bem atendidos. Adorei.
Preço médio por pessoa 14 euros (com pão de alho, bebida, cafe, prato e sobremesa)
No entanto a zona dos sanitários no piso inferior em nada se assemelha com a zona de refeição. Sanitários complemente enferrujados, sujos e as portas nao fechavam. É fundamental melhorar esta situação para um espaço excelente no global.

Ich bin auf Mittag zum ersten Mal bei "Il Pizzaiolo" eingekehrt und habe mich auf Anhieb wohl gefühlt. Das Lokal war nicht überfüllt, die Kellnerinnen sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, die Musikuntermalung dezent und so stand einem entspannten Mahl nichts entgegen. Das preiswerte Mittagsmenü mit Suppe, Hauptgang, Getränk und Kaffee für knapp 9 Euro ist ein mehr als faires Angebot. Ich wählte die Pizza des Tages und die war genau nach meinem (vegetarischen) Geschmack. Wer Pizza napoletana liebt, also mit dickem, blasigem aber softem Rand, wird hier glücklich. Komme ich wieder nach Porto schaue ich gerne erneut vorbei.

Bad service...not arrived at food.
We came when the place was full. Only space available was outside, so we sat there. Was a bit windy and not too warm so we ordered just a starter and two drinks.
Drinks arrived soon, the starter took quite long.
In the meanwhile inside several tables were now available so we asked if was possible to move inside because we were freezing outside and is not pleasant to eat coated in jackets with wind from the side.
The waither said that their politic is:
“If you start outside you stay outside”
Very smart one when you have at least 5 free tables inside and outside is cold.
We asked for the bill and went away.
Never again, definitely not recommended. Maybe food was good, who knows...

Das Restaurant ist zentral
in der Stadt gelegen und deswegen sehr gut erreichbar. Die Küche ist nur 12:00-15:00 und 19:00-22:00 geöffnet. Pizza bekommt man aber von 12:00-24:00. Es gibt außerdem ein täglich wechselndes Mittagsmenü für 8,95(Suppe+Hauptgericht+Getränk+Kaffee).
Das Essen ist super
Lecker und ein akzeptabler Preis. Wirklich sehr zu empfehlen.

Dunque il locale è molto carino da un punto di vista dell'ambientazione. Servizio lentissimo e gestito male. Fuori file di persone in attesa ed all'interno diversi tavoli vuoti. Pizza discreta che però non è possibile modificare in caso di allergie. L'unico modo con il quale vi consentono di apportare delle variazioni è ordinando la pizza che loro chiamano vegetariana, per cui, rispetto per il cliente, zero. Birre locali buone.

Hier stimmt wirklich alles! Sehr freundliches Personal, und ein stilvoll eingerichtetes Restaurant. Das Restaurant ist jedoch sehr gefragt und ohne Reservierung ist es schwierig einen Platz zu bekommen. Trotzdem lohnt sich jede Minute auf die Pizza zu warten, denn sie schmeckt wirklich köstlich. Ich war zwei mal während meines Urlaubes hier. Es lohnt sich sehr!

This place gives you impression of a true pizzeria, but even with all the decor and presentation, it is not much better than a fast food. Service is bad, waiters and waitresses are overwhelmed. Portions are smaller than expected. The only thing you will find in a bundle here is incompetence. They have a good pizza base - bread , dough, but everything else is overkill. Not happy here. Do not recommend.

Aberto no dia São João . Foi uma das opções disponíveis no feriado. Comida saborosa e bem servida. Ambiente agradável e um bom atendimento . Recomendo.

Não havia sido informado no Google que estaria fechado em dia de São João. É extremamente irresponsável da parte de um estabelecimento de alimentação não colocar uma informação tão importante assim. Já deduzo que não é um ambiente profissional.

La intención de la camarer@ excelente, la pizza correcta, pero el risotto truzado "aqui" no lo recomiendo. Por lo demás todo muy bien.

Très bon restaurant, service rapide maigres le restaurant plein, serveurs très sympa et de bons conseils. Concernant la nourriture nous avons pris 2 pizzas qui étaient très bonne, avec des produits frais. Et les desserts sont parfait. Pour un prix plus que raisonnable par rapport à la quantité du repas.

Im Altstadtviertel von Porto recht zentral gelegen und daher preislich hoch angesiedelt. Das Essen schmeckt zwar gut, wir hatten Pizza und Nudeln mit Scampi, leider war das Chilliöl ne Lachnummer im Kindergarten.

Food is good and reasonably priced, specially taking into consideration it's location and nice decor. Portions are modest, specially for salads.
Overall the restaurant is good, but I think it would be more inviting, specially during warm days, if it had better air conditioning.

Personal ist eher schüchtern und muss auf sich aufmerksam gemacht werden, aber sehr freundlich. Wir haben Pizza und Pasta gegessen, beides war sehr frisch und sehr lecker. Der Pizzaofen steht direkt im Lokal und man kann beim zubereiten zuschauen. Auf jeden Fall Empfehlung.

The pizza was amazing but the service was unbelievably slow and some friends got the not what they ordered. So if you don't care too much about service this is a must have pizza.

Espaço muito bem localizado, com má decoração e ambiente muito agradável. O atendimento é muito bom, profissional e simpático. O pão de alho é óptimo, e recomenda o Tagliatele Mare e Monte. As sobremesas são divinas!

Ristorante molto elegante e pizza sopra le aspettative. Non appena il cameriere ha saputo che eravamo italiane, ci ha presentato il cuoco (italiano) che è stato subito molto simpatico e accogliente e ci ha indicato dove andare e cosa visitare.
Penso che il prezzo sia piu che giusto per quello che mangi.

La pizza que lleva el nombre del restaurante estaba espectacular, y los linguini Nero también estaban riquísimos. Lugar bonito y el camarero que nos atendió súper amable.

Boa comida, bem servida e de excelente qualidade. O atendimento foi maravilhoso, a garçonete que nos atendeu deu uma atenção especial a minha filha pequena que valeu a visita, pena não lembrar do seu nome para deixar os parabéns aqui.

Aqui a pizza é tipica italiana, de massa fina. Tempo de atendimento ronda os 10/15 minutos. Paga-se mais pelo local, na bela zona das galerias de Paris, mesmo ao lado da torre dos clérigos e da livraria lello, de resto a nivel de qualidade/preço mais vale ir ao mister pizza, que não se encontra muito longe daí.

Restaurante delicioso, com uma pizza ótima. A sobremesa dispensa comentários ( experimentamos um tiramissu é uma mousse de chocolate branco) , ambas estavam perfeitas. Recomendo, voltaremos com muita fome!

O lugar é muito agradável, ambiente muito bem decorado até os detalhes... super confortável! Atendimento atencioso e muito simpático. As pizzas e calzone surpreenderam! Incríveis, deliciosas, saborosas, bem feitas! Porção farta, saímos super satisfeitos, pena que não houve espaço para sobremesa. Fica para a próxima vez, com certeza vou voltar!
