Love this place. Good atmosphere and live music was a very nice addition to the to the whole evening. Best dish was pork stew mixed with mashed potatoes and egg yolk. Tip: try Porto tonico.

Our hostel recommended Rua and we loved it. The flatbread pizza was delicious, chicken egg rolls were very tasty, and the salad definitely hit the spot. Highly recommend! Also, the staff was amazing and helpful. They speak very good English and every person working was willing to help or answer questions.

Bar totalmente brasileiro. Fui lá numa quinta-feira e a banda que lá estava era fantástica ! O som era samba/ bossa nova. Mal começaram a atuar o bar encheu ! A entrada custou 3€ mas dão carimbo na mão e podemos sair e voltar a entrar na boa.

Bar muito legal numa ruazinha discreta, com tapas diversas de ótima qualidade, boa música e bebidas com preços justos. Fomos bem atendidas, ambiente e decoração bem legal. Recomendo chegar cedo para conseguir mesa. Apenas observo a necessidade de uma melhor limpeza e odorização dos banheiros.

Adorei o lugar , decoração top , serviço top, o preço veio justo achei que fosse gastar , 25 euros e gastei , 27 euros , está dentro do que se come , bom Menú e bem servido ! A Rua é linda e foi reformada agora , tem bons bares nesse quarteirão , além de o melhor Risois do Porto ! Valeu a pena entrar , bem perto tem ônibus e estacionamento.

Péssimo Lugar, um rapaz que me pareceu o proprietário tratando os clientes muito mal, inclusive gritando com pessoas ao meu lado, acredito que um lugar desses nem poderia estar aberto.

Funcionários Simpáticos e música boa, no entanto o dono do estabelecimento é muito agressivo, pessoa totalmente despreparada para lidar com o Público, falou para meu amigo que ele não era bem vindo ao estabelecimento pois não estava consumindo(o que não era verdade)saimos para encontrar com outros amigos e entrar novamente, simplesmente esse sujeito nos proibiu de entrar, gritando com todos, falando que não iriamos entrar porque o estabelecimento era dele e não podíamos entrar, não recomendo.

The food was really amazing! Actually we went twice in a row because we wanted to try everything on the menu. So if you are traveling with two, prepare for the second visit! If you’re traveling with a larger group, just order everything, you’ll be amazed! Both nights we had live music during dinner. Both musicians were great! It was one of the reasons we stayed for an extra drink. On Friday the street was crowded because of the bar next door. This place was a really nice experience! Would definitely go again when visiting Porto.

Leider konnten wir weder Essen noch Live Musik erfahren, weil es heute Salsa Abend war und wir beide kein Fan davon sind. Gestern konnten wir auch nicht, weil es erst um 19:30 aufmacht. Daneben eine Kneipe 77 ist super beliebt, die Gasse ist voll mit Leute, die draussen rauchen und trinken. Hoffentlich gibt es da nächste Mal.

Local agradável e bem frequentado, o destaque da noite ficou por conta do grupo Samba rock club que animou o público do início ao fim.

A fantastic place, nice tapas and live music! But the place is popular both with locals and tourists, therefore it can be really hard to get a table, so to reserve in advance is highly recommended, and FYI: people will wait there a long time at the bar to get a (your) table, and it can be a bit intimidating.
But we had an amazing evening, with nice creative tapas and got fantastic service from our nice waitress Claudia, and the rest of the nice staff! We went there on a Saturday evening, so the live music was not on before almost 1:00, the other days it should be 21:00, according to the staff!

Posto carino, personale gentile e preparato. Abbiamo preso delle tapas ( risotto al baccalà -crocchette di gambero- funghi) tutto di ottima qualità e preparato molto bene, belli saporiti :) per finire abbiamo preso un dolce tipico, servito con gelato al limone che smorzava bene la dolcezza del dessert. Buon rapporto qualità/prezzo. Ci tornerei, lo suggerisco .

One of the best places in Porto we found. The food was delicious! We ordered around 11 different tapas and every single one was great. The real bonus here is a live music and the staff. They are professional, helpful and friendly. So if you like a good food, great drinks and perfect atmosphere with live music, you will be more than happy there.

We arrived to RUA with reservation (it was absolutely full) and found a great vibe and atmosphere. After a quick scroll through the menu we decided on a few different tapas. the food was very tasty and the combination of flavours worked perfectly! The prices are Ok and the desert was also fantastic!

Sinceramente, sinto vergonha de ter passado algumas vezes em frente ao Rua e nunca ter entrado. Hoje, penso nas oportunidades desperdiçadas porque, valeu cada segundo da visita.
Começando pela equipe, muito atenciosa e simpática. Como sempre, faz toda a diferença.
Quanto ao cardápio, enxuto, nos apresenta algumas opções interessantes. De Batatas Bravas, passando pelos Pimentos e indo até o Risoto de Bacalhau.
Eu, e essa opinião é realmente contra a maré, não achei a Bochecha de Porto Confitado tão especial assim. Talvez tenha dado azar, mas a porção não faz jus ao sabor e fica uma sensação chata de que podia ter um pouco mais.
Entretanto, e digo isso com água na boca ao lembrar, os Croquetes de Camarão com Molho de Ostras me fazem sentir saudades da visita.
Minha nossa, experimente!
Fechando o review, o Rua conta com um ambiente agradável e espaçoso. Eles não entulham mesas aos montes e tem um bom espaço para circulação.
A partir das 00h00 tem música ao vivo que muda de estilo de acordo com o dia da semana.

Love this place. Great ambiance, live entertainment and food. The singer tonight had me enchanted with his beautiful voice , an uncommon combination of a sweet soft and warm bossa nova sort of voice but that surprised us with a range of beautifully controlled highs and lows.

Great and delicious food, we were worried that performance wouldn't start until midnight but found a guy with his guitar at 8pm... He played until 11pm and he was outstanding. One man band doing percussion, bass, guitar and voice and gifting everyone in the restaurant a great time. English speaking and attentive staff, generous offering of vegetarian options, succulent meat and fish alike, such a great combination! Some of the best 3 hrs ever spent in Porto!!! Can't wait to go back.

Surtout arrivez à l'heure ! Après un retard de 20 min , réservation annulée. 21h20 au lieu de 21h pour un samedi soir apparemment ça change tout !Surtout que c'est moi qui ai fixer l'heure d'arrivée. La prochaine fois, je dirai" 21 h à 1/2 heure près". A cause de cela , une galère a commencé pour trouver un autre restaurant, pas évident un samedi . Merci , au voisin taberna dos esquecidos de nous avoir reçu à 22h et de nous avoir fait passer, au final, une bonne soirée.
Pour ma part , une réservation dans un restaurant n'est pas un rendez-vous chez le docteur . Soyez plus flexible . Surtout dans un bar à tapas décontracté.

After reading great reviews of this place I had high expectations, well..............let's just say those were not met.
The restaurant itself was inviting, we were greeted cordially, but beyond that, the service and food fell flat.
The tuna tartare was a good portion but lacked any creativity in flavor and presentation.
The "grated Camembert" was served warm with a spicy honey in a small cast iron pan and was flavorful, but was not served with any bread/crackers to enjoy, the bread had to be ordered separately, and wasn't enough for the cheese.
The cocktails and music were average.
If you're looking for exceptional tapas, I'm not sure this is the place. If you're looking for pretentious food and atmosphere, welcome.

I visited this place twice on my short visit to Porto and was impressed both times. Friendly service, enjoyable music, and great food. Very nice place located in the old city night life district. Found great live music, great atmosphere and fabulous shef. Tuna tartàr was very fresh and well posed. Fried squeed had very little frying remains. Stuffed portabelo with curd, caramelized apple and pinch of smoked salt was surprising. Camambert cheese was so puphy it just fell down the through. As all deserts looked surprising we had to choose one fue to stomach limitations. We took the abade priscos pudding - amaizing

Sono andato qui con due amiche per un bicchiere di vino. Il posto sembrava carino e abbiamo deciso di entrare. Ci hanno fatti accomodare sul bancone perché i tavoli alle 20 erano riservati a chi doveva mangiare. Dopo il primo bicchiere abbiamo deciso di prendere qualcosa da mangiare (Batatas bravas, pimentas e una bruschetta al baccalà). Il cibo era molto buono, in particolare la bruschetta. Nel locale c'era anche un bravissimo cantante che ha accompagnato la serata a suon di voce e di chitarra. Prezzo nella media, location molto carina.

We didn't make a reservation and tried to eat at this place. The staff was friendly enough to point out we could eat at a table until a certain time, or eat at the bar and stay for as long as we wanted. We took a seat at the bar and were amazed by how good the food was.
We chose the stuffed portobello, cod fish risotto and fried squid. The stuffed portobello was incredible, the flavours were really great and the texture was superbly surprising. I would definitely recommend this to share. The cod fish risotto was really smooth and tasty.
For dessert we had the tropical fruit cheesecake in a bowl. We were pretty stuffed from the 3 dishes we had before, but the cheesecake was perfectly fresh and sweet. This is a really good place to have tapas for diner, though I would suggest making a reservation or going early enough (7-8 pm).

Excelente jantar! Fomos um grupo de 8 pessoas, a comida é muito boa, o atendimento ainda melhor!
Uma das pessoas do grupo era alérgica a um dos condimentos do prato principal que já tínhamos escolhido antecipadamente, no entanto o cuidado foi tal que providenciaram logo outro prato sem custo adicional.

Muy buena comida. Atención correcta como debe ser. Música en directo buena y no molesta. El local esta bien. No es el más comodo pero es bastante correcto. No grandes grupos. Los Spring Rolls, la Burrata y el Rosbife son excelentes. Precio 3 personas más que correcto. Recomiendo venir parejas y grupos de amigos reducidos.

Great music, although expect to be waiting until after 10 for it to start. I don't know what they play most nights, but there was a fantastic solo artist while we were there and he did a great job with a long set that showcased not only his own, but his friend and a fellow artists (from Spain) talent. The food was tasty as well (a bit overpriced, but when you are the only music bar in the area, capitalize). If you are in the area, worth a visit for sure!

The nice idea of a street bar inside a bar is quite tempting.
The food is quite interesting. We recommend the chicken spring roll and the Cod risotto.
However food overall is extremely salty.
Stay away from the shrimp croquettas.
On the drink sides, the cocktails are quite flavourless, with a very limited choice.
The live music was really good performed by a singer musician. That was really the plus of the night

Op basis van TripAdvisor dit restaurant bezocht en geheel verrast. Echt wauw! Zelfs voor een groep van 10 man is er voldoende ruimte, je komt dan wel deels in een rare hoek te zitten op geen fantastische stoelen maar dat doe het eten je wel vergeten. De zeer behulpzame en gastvrije bediening begeleidt je door de summiere maar zeer verfijnde kaart. De heerlijke wijn maakt het geheel compleet. Dat alles tegen een zeer betaalbare prijs maakt een bezoek van dit restaurant zeker de moeite waard. Ondertussen wordt er live muziek gespeeld om de naam van het restaurant nog meer eer doen toe te komen. Sorry voor de donkere foto's.

One of the best francesinhas I’ve ever had and I don’t know if it was the jet lad or being up for 24 hours but we loved everything. The spring rolls are so different, the sangria was great and we really enjoyed the patio area.

Amazing place! On a back street that makes you nervous but it comes alive at night! Drinks were great, good recommendations by waitress. We got tapas (camembert cheese, chicken spring rolls with curry foam, cod risotto, fried squid and cod fritters) - all amazing. Especially the risotto. Music started around 10pm and it was really nice! Great atmosphere. Becomes more bar/Club and less restaurant after first band plays (around 1130-12am).

Really good tapas, we chose 4 dishes between my wife and I were feeling full up after arriving hungry. The tuna tartar was exceptional, however, the mushrooms, cuttlefish and shrimp croquets didn't disappoint either.
Very laid back vibe, perfect place to unwind after a day's sightseeing. We were astounded by the quality of the food coming out of such a small kitchen. Well done to all involved.

We had high expectations and guess what ... the food has exceeded on all fronts. How they can deliver such high standard cooking in a bar is beyond me but oh boy the chef should get a medal . Cod fish risotto and tuna tartar deserve a special mention. Portions are generous for a tapas bar we thought and prices are very fair to the high quality you get. Drinks are very decent and staff is superbly accommodating. Not easy (understandably) to get a table so booking would be recommended.these guys put high end restaurants in London to shame . We loved it !

Siendo sinceros, solo viendo el nombre, de primeras no entraría pensando que sería un atrapaturistas.
Más allá de eso, cenamos muy bien (mención especial al Rosbife y a las verduras a la plancha con romescu), con música tranquila, boleros. Más o menos con el postre, empezó a tocar un artista local versiones de varias canciones para amenizar, todo temas tranquilos y sin molestar.
Quedamos encantados la verdad, de paso aprovechamos a tomar una copa en el mismo lugar, que a eso de las 00.00h se ve que se iba animando.
El personal muy amable, avisando cuando nos sentamos a la mesa (sobre las 21.30h), que a las 00.00h iban a recoger las mesas para un concierto que había.

Dieses Restaurant bietet ausschliesslich Tapas (kl. Vorspeisen) an. Es hat eine ganze Reihe davon. Wie z.B die Kartoffel Pommes mit Sauce oder das Beef mit einer Süssen Sauce.
Wir haben diese beiden und als "Hauptgang" fie Kässplatte gewählt (siehe Bild) Ich würde die Platte nur zu zweit oder mehr empfehlen da sie ein grosser Sattmacher ist.
Als Dessert noch de Mango Käsekuchen der in einem Glas serviert wird sehe vorzüglich!
Als krönender Abschluss gibt es sogar noch Livemusik ab 22:00 Uhe (Bitte reservieren es ist sehr beliebt hier)

Loved it. Wonderful staff who will stop to give you useful advice about the food and drink and genuinely seem to enjoy having their guests. Everyone speaks English fluently. Modern tapas with fresh and high-quality ingredients, creative recipes, beautifully arranged, amazing taste (although a bit oily). We were there on a Saturday in February: mostly locals, live music starts past midnight. Be early (before 9pm) if you want to eat and don't have a reservation.

can't say smth about the music, because we were here before the concert just for dinner. We booked a table in advance by the phone and saw a half-empty cafe. Nonetheless they gave us a table near the entrance. Oook. We ordered francesinha, potato tapas, soup, 2 roastbeef and a bottle of wine. A waiter warned us that probably better to order just one roast beef, try it and do another one. we wondered but ok, we expected smth nice (he smiled but didn't tell us if it's not ordinary). Finally we've got a big plate ... with small pieces of smashed & almost raw meat . All the "dish" was covered by sweet white sauce and looked ... not nice. So, roast beef is usually a dish of beef which is roasted in an oven. It's nothing about raw small pieces of meat in a sweet yogurt sauce! If you put smth "not ordinary", probably it would be better to describe it in a menu. Looking at the waiter's smile we (unfortunately) couldn't understand. We went away totally disappointed. Wine was fine, but we could do that at every corner.

Excellent friendly service! Food was terrific - pork cheeks and the goat cheese bruschetta were our favorites! also had the mushroom and shrimp croquettes - yummy, just not our favorites! We were here two nights ago and they didn't have anything we wanted to order, so we left...but tonight everything was available and they were super apologetic for the other evening and they remembered us from two nights ago-wow! Would highly recommend!

Amazing tapas restaurant. pork cheek is unmissable, we also have amazing stuffed mushrooms that the waiter pushed us to have and we adored him for it. It gets very busy so we were lucky that they accommodated us but I would either get there early or book in advance, but don't miss it! We also got a lovely complimentary Porto with the bill which was 36 euros for 2 glasses of wine, and 5 tapas that definitely upped the standards.

La mejor comida de toda europa el champi y los pasteles de camarao como no comí nunca sumado al Clerico de champagne con frutos rojos un éxito! No cambien !!!

Sehr gutes Essen, die Tapas waren sehr lecker. Der Service war freundlich und schnell. Die live Musik war gut. Die Cocktails haben sehr gut geschmeckt. Für die sehr gute Qualität ist der Preis überraschend günstig! Ich würde sofort wieder hingehen. Allerdings empfiehlt es sich zu reservieren!

A música ao vivo à quinta-feira é ótima! O único inconveniente é o fumo, pois é permitido fumar no espaço.
