I stayed 2 nights at A padaria farmhouse with my boyfriend. And it was my one of best weekend trip ever in Portugal. This place has a really beautiful view of Douro Valley from their terrace and garden and you can even have a breakfast looking at the amazing view at their terrace. I love their interior : modern, new, antique, vintage, stylish furnitures, well combinated-color design and some of ceramic pots, plates.. You will love them! This place is really clean and all new. Our host Maria is really friendly and kind. She also has lots of knowledge about arts and tourism. She is really helpful to give us some trips to visit Cinfães area. Her father is local wine maker and his homemade wine is really good. Her mon cooks very well with all organic vegetables from her garden. They all are really nice local people and I appreciate their warm hospitality. I will definitely go back to this Farmhouse and Recommend ++++++

Casa agradavelmente decorada, com muita luz natural e vários pormenores a fazerem a diferença pela simplicidade e bom gosto. Quarto espaçoso e confortável, com excelente vista sobre um bosque centenário a descer até ao rio Douro. Quinta muito bem cuidada e sossegada, extremamente agradável com os seus relvados, árvores de fruto, vinha, cavalos, ovelhas… só apetece ficar! Boa localização, perto de várias atrações turísticas como os Passadiços do Paiva e o Douro vinhateiro, vários percursos pedestres de enorme beleza natural entre a Serra de Montemuro e o Rio Bestança. Excelente gastronomia acompanhada por vinho verde da região. A Maria, a anfitriã da Padaria Farmhouse, recebeu-nos muito bem com a sua simpatia, disponibilidade e boa música! Sempre atenciosa e com toda a informação necessária para quem quer conhecer e desfrutar o melhor que esta região nos pode oferecer. Pequeno almoço muito saboroso e saudável com produtos de qualidade da quinta e da região. Não há como acordar, abrir a janela, ouvir os pássaros a chilrear, ter como cenário um bosque até ao Douro e sentir o aroma de um bolo ou scones caseiros acabados de cozinhar pela Maria. A Padaria Farmhouse foi uma excelente descoberta. Recomendo!

I'm usually the kind of person who can't be bothered to post reviews for anything, but this place is so special I had to say something. My partner and I are fairly frequent travelers, and we both agreed that A Padaria Farmhouse is one of our favorite places we've ever stayed, anywhere -- not because of any particularly extravagant amenities (though the house is elegantly appointed), but simply because the love and care that Maria and her family put into this place are obvious at every turn, from the minimalist-but-cozy design to the generously portioned homemade meals to the adorable troupe of adopted cats, dogs, and horses that roam the property. Maria went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and completely at home. We can't wait to go back.

English below! Een geweldig verblijf gehad in dit prachtige Douro huis! Maria nam mij en mijn vriend vriendelijk in ontvangst en liet ons het huis zien. Het hele huis heeft heel veel lichtinval en alles (inclusief de kamers) is erg schoon. Het voelt heel luxueus aan. Maria weet heel goed hoe ze de puntjes op de i zet voor een geweldig verblijf. Zo hadden we een bluetooth speaker op de kamer, een privé badkamer, zeer comfortabel bed, een groot balkon met een waanzinnig uitzicht over de rivier, vers fruit en water in de kamer, en een aantal boeken om te lezen mocht je je vervelen. Ook stonden er iedere dag verse bloemen beneden in de woonkamer en keuken. Het ontbijt en diner verzorgde Maria ook, en in stijl. Aangezien mijn vriend en ik geen dierlijke producten eten had ze de moeite genomen om vegan pannenkoeken te maken met zelfgemaakte vijgenjam. En ook het avondeten dat ze maakte met haar moeder was geheel vegan. Echt een geweldige service! Maria vertelde over de activiteiten die er in de buurt waren en we besloten te gaan wandelen in de bergen. We leenden haar auto om bij het startpunt van de hike te geraken. De prachtige vergezichten en kijkjes in de vallei maakten de tocht zeer de moeite waard. Ik kan niets negatiefs zeggen over ons verblijf hier. Alles was mooi, goed verzorgd, Maria een schat van een meid en opstaan met het geluid van fluitende vogels laat je helemaal uitgerust wakker worden. Simpelweg top. Zéér aan te bevelen! -------------------- We had a great stay in this beautiful Douro house! Maria received my boyfriend and I in a very friendly way and showed us around the place. The house has a lot of light coming in from the many windows and everything (including the rooms) is very clean. The house has a very luxurious feel to it. Maria knows very well how to include details in the house and decoration so that you will feel at home. Besides a private bathroom and a very comfortable bed, we also had a Bluetooth speaker in our bedroom, a big balcony with an amazing view over the river, fresh fruit and water in the room, and some books to read in case you want to. We also found fresh flowers every day in the living room and kitchen. The breakfast and dinner was also provided by Maria, and in style. Since my boyfriend and I don’t eat any animal products, she took the effort to make us vegan pancakes in the morning with homemade vig-marmalade. Even the dinner she and her mother made for us was 100% vegan. Really an amazing service! Maria told us about the activities we could do in the area, and we decided to go hiking in the mountains. She borrowed us her car to go to the starting point of the trail. The sceneries and views we had along this hike were unique and very beautiful. I really cannot say anything negative about our stay at A padaria farmhouse. Everything was very well taken care of, Maria is truly a lovely and wonderful young woman, and waking up to the sound of the birds makes you feel very well rested. Simply an amazing place! Highly recommended!
