Amazing property and people! New owners are updating the guest rooms and cleaning up the grounds. We heard there are over 75 fruit trees and SO many flowers! The Quinta is high up to see the bridges over the river/lake Caldo and great views of the hills sourounding us at every turn. It was hot when I visited so the pool was welcome refreshment at the end of days out exploring the Geres-Peneda park and charming villages very close. About the location - excellent - 2km from the town of Geres and same distance in the other direction from beautiful lake beaches. Base of the property is on the main road (N308-1) which makes it easy to get to and the terraced landscaping blocks the road from sight. Driveway was a little confusing the first time-when coming from the direction of Braga make a right turn onto the road up to the village of Ermida then about 100 meters up a sharp left at the first driveway. BTW, delicious food at the restaurant in Ermida. Stop there on your way up to the waterfalls - theres a bar and a little store to get pickinick supplies to take up to the waterfall, refill your water from the fountain and make a reservation for dinner for your way down. The food is amazing - best meal I had in the area- prepared by the 87 yo grandmother of the family that runs the complex.

Sempre que vou ao Gerês faço questão de ficar aqui. Os donos são super simpáticos e a quinta está muito bem localizada para quem quer fazer trilhos.

Quarto simples, mas acolhedor e limpo. Os donos são muito simpáticos e bastante prestáveis. Até o nosso cãozinho gostou...fartou-se de passear pela quinta.

Phenomenal place! About 1.5hrs from Porto and surrounded by beautiful scenery. We loved hiking and enjoying the location.

Hard to say. We are after the sezon. Room's are clean, fireplace are working. Nobody is home. I think is nice place. We stay just one night and is looks OK.
