This restaurant is very small inside but the food packs a really big punch. I highly recommend coming here when you have plenty of time because waiting in line can easily last 30+ mins. The owner is very friendly and helped us navigate the menu. He really makes you feel comfortable like you are at home in your mom's kitchen. That mixed with the quality wine melts away any tension you may have had during the wait. I consider myself a connoisseur of sandwiches but the Francesinha here completely blew me away. The the meat was seasoned just right and the cheese engulfed the toasted bun. The sandwich was swimming in a light pool of gravy and every bite seemed to blend all the magnificent flavors. The cod my fiancee ordered was crusty and flaky packed with flavor. This was the least fancy restaurant we went to in Porto but had great food and hospitality. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in Porto!

Nos gustó este pequeño bar por la simpatía con la que nos trataron. No es un sitio para grandes grupos pero si un sitio para grandes momentos con un amigo o amiga, o con tu pareja. El bacalao com brau estaba muy bueno.

Piccolo ristorantino che vi farà dimenticare presto delle sue dimensioni tremite i suoi fantastici piatti. All'interno un team di 4 donne si destreggiano per far arrivare i piatti sui tavoli. Ottimi gli antipasti e i piatti di carne, prezzi super convenienti se rapportati alla qualità e alla quantità delle pietanze. Punto forte i dolci della casa che chiudono il pranzo in modo eccellente. Da provare se volete un assaggio della cucina portoghese spendendo tra i 15 ai 20 euro a persona compresi calice di vino, caffè e dolce

Si visitas Oporto este restaurante es un "must"!! Es pequeño y tiene pocas mesas, pero esto hace que el sitio sea más acogedor y el servicio más personalizado. Comida de 10, trato de 10 y gran calidad/precio. Recomiendo el bacalao con nata y el postre voltaria. Volveré segurísimo!!

Before I edit my review I wrote that we visited this place twice in 2 days. I had to edit my review because in the end we came 3 times in 4 days.An excellent choice in the center. It is very small, like 5 tables and they do not accept bookings so you may need to wait but definitely it is worth it. Super tasty, super good equilibrium between quality and price.We tried many starters, by far the best was a kind of francesinha sauce on chips and with an egg it was absolutely super tasty! Furthermore this is the place where I ate the best octapus. It was super tender and a perfect combination of boiled and baked. My partner tried many diferent cod plates and me 2 times the black pork chicks. Everything was PERFECT. Honestly we can not find anything negative about this place. Here we need to mentioned all the ladies that served us or cook our food all of them were great! Thank you all we are one of the reasons why we will return to Madrid.

Excellent food and friendly service. We tried a range of tapas and they were all fresh and delicious! Be prepared to queue - the restaurant is tiny. We were fourth in the queue when we got there and waited about 45mins but it was worth it!

Okay, yes, there's a queue... the place is small and cozy... however it's REALLY worth it. We had cod and also a francesinha, something of the heaven for dessert and a bottle of wine for 35eu all. It's homemade ish food, which makes it better and the waitress was super and with a nice sense of humor :) come early if you don't want to wait, but if you do, don't worry, u won't regret it.

The owner was friendly and kind. He suggested many good dishes to choose. Every dish was lovely but I highly recommend Cod fish nata. I’ll definitely visit this restaurant, if I have a chance to travel to Porto again.

Una maravilla de sitio, salimos encantados. Restaurante pequeño pero con producto fresco y de calidad muy bien tratado. La tabla de quesos portugueses ha sido todo un descubrimiento. El pulpo tierno y fresco. La relación calidad-precio excelente. Y por último la atención al cliente es inmejorable, cercano, atento, amable, nos ha recomendado un vino buenisimo, se nota el detalle y el cuidado de los clientes y eso a día de hoy es algo que suele costar encontrar. Totalmente recomendable.

Excellent seafood place, highly recommend although there aren't many places available so there's usually a long queue and waiting time. It's well worth it tho.
Owners are very friendly and welcoming, they recommend these dishes and we were glad that we tried them.

우연히 지나가다가 한국사람이 너무 많아서 검색해본 식당 ㅎㅎ 평점이 높아서 다음날 호기심에 가봤는데 친절하고 포르투갈 전통요리가 이런느낌이 아닐까 하는 그런 맛들이었어요 포르투갈 오셨으면 프란세지냐는 한번 드셔보세요!

La comida es espectacular, portuguesa tradicional preparada con gusto y dedicación y postres caseros. Lo malo es que de tan recomendado hay tantos turistas que suele haber que esperar para sentarse,y el local no es muy grande, pero la espera merece la pena y la atención de su camarera no puede ser mejor.

真係估佢唔到，3位女士管理一間舖，可以煮到咁好味嘅家常葡菜。6張枱已經夠佢地忙，等待係絕對值得嘅。比起旅遊書、節目介紹嘅都要好。叫3碟3碟都咁好食，最緊要唔太咸。Homemade lemonade/ice tea好飲，唔會一味落糖，獨一無二嘅味道。

Un minuscolo locale con tavoli alti e sgabelli, un bagno, 4 donne gentilissime, tutto pulito e tanta bontà, dagli antipasti al dolce. L'unico piatto con il polpo, il più caro del menu (16 euro), vale decisamente la spesa, morbidissimo e saporito. Ho provato il baccalà con maionese e purè, molto delicato, non salato ed con il tanto giusto di maionese.
Come antipasto consiglio le polpette ed il tortino di baccalà e, per un sapore più deciso, le polpette cremose di alheira, una salsiccia tipica affumicata, servite con una riduzione di Porto.
Per 5 euro troverete un antipasto di formaggi misti tipici portoghesi e composta, da provare.

Had 2 meals (including my last meal in Portugal) at this quaint little restaurant. Like what everyone said, the food is fantastic. Had the cod with mashed potatoes & Francesinha. The latter was good, but it’s still a sandwich. The cod was amazing & I wish I ordered this in my first meal here so it wouldn’t be the last time I’m having it. The dessert ‘Cream from Heaven’ is really heavenly and nothing like I ever had before - not even joking. And I know it’s trivial to bring up bread & olive oil, but if you go there, please order them !! The bread is the perfect ratio of softness & crispy edges. Most bread in Portugal is good, but this is PERFECT.
Had such a great meal - it’s probably the best I had in my 2 weeks in Portugal.

Comida espectacular, si lo que buscas es comida tradicional y buen trato este es tu local. Súper atentos con nosotros y todas las mesas, a pesar de ser pocas mesas y tener que esperar vale la pena totalmente. Justo el ser tan limitado el local es lo que permite un trato cercano. Nos dejamos llevar por las recomendaciones y absolutamente todo lo que comimos estaba para chuparse los dedos. Volveremos sin lugar a dudas.

There is not much that can be said about the food, the wine and the atmosphere for a simple reason that any words will simply fail to describe the reality. I went alone and yet I had one of the most enchanting experiences of my long life. The sublime tastes of Portugal are still lingering on my tongue and the genuine hospitality of the proprietor lady are still warming my heart. Thank you for your generosity and please rest assured it will not be forgotten. To the potential visitors I can only say if you love Portuguese food and wine or if you want to try it do not miss this place, it is well worth the wait. Muito obrigado; Até breve

Un trato excelente y una comida buenísima.. que más se puede pedir!.. y en comparación con otros sitios es más barato.. el bacalao ronda los 11€.. eso si mejor ir tipo 1pm que como mucho se espera 30-40 minutos, si vais más tarde seguro os toca esperar mucho más!..

It's like a small family restaurant. They cook local dishes. The food is delicious. Staff are friendly and concerned. When I first saw it, it had a tail in front of it. I ate Bacalhau com natas. It was a very delicious fish dish. It is made from fish, chickpeas, eggs, tomatoes, parsley and potatoes. I would recommend.

Valió la pena haber esperado una hora de cola para sentarnos. Como la gran mayoría de opiniones, se come muy bien, la atención de primera y un precio bueno teniendo en cuenta la calidad de la comida. Buenísimo el bacalao en sus diferentes versiones. Por cierto, la camarera que nos atendió muy amable y políglota, solo le faltaba saber coreano . El día que volvamos a Porto, vendremos a comer seguro. Felicidades.

I really wanted to like this place but certain things took away from the experience. We went there around 2:00 pm on a Saturday, one couple was waiting in front of us. When I went inside to ask if I could put my name on a list or how long the wait was, the main waitress/host seemed almost annoyed at me, giving me an attitude. She said I should wait outside and that it would take 30 minutes. I ended up waiting for an hour and twenty minutes. Once I noticed a table was empty, I copied what the couple in front of us did and went inside, thinking I was supposed to do that. She proceeded to bark at me that I had to wait outside while she cleaned the table.
At one point, I thought she said we could go to a bigger table that just became available (that's what my boyfriend thought he heard too) and when I asked her that, she seemed to get upset. She told us that she just asked if we wanted to hang our coats.
The food itself was okay. I liked the pork cheek with rice but the franceshina tasted bland and salty, the sauce felt heavy, and the texture of the bread was off. The service during dining was okay/pretty nice but when I asked what the dessert was, she grumpily said, well do you want me to tell you or show you?
At that point, I just felt like leaving.
I noticed that she seemed nicer to certain guests when they came in asking for a table and what the dessert was, so I'm not sure what her issue was, if she has some kind of bias.
Note: some people got very lucky and only waited 10 minutes. If your time in Porto is limited, I would skip it.

Definitely worth the wait!!
The place is really small so be ready to wait a little bit but you can drink a beer or some porto n'tonic while waiting for your table. The portions are big and very tasty and the service is very quick!
The owner is very friendly and smiley, she noticed that we were Italian and she started to speak with us to make practice! A stop for lunch if you are in Porto is recommended!

흑돼지뽈살에 밥 비벼먹었더니 익숙한 고향의 맛이 나서 좋았어요. 뽈살은 매우 부드럽습니다. 프란세지냐는 하나도 안느끼하고 맛있게 먹었네요. 포트와인 도수가 좀 있는거 같지만 달달하니 맛있었습니다. 대구 요리는 감자가 맛있어요. 수많은 감자를 먹어봤지만 여기 감자가 최고네요.

Sitio pequeño y acogedor. Personal muy atento y perfecto en todo momento. Realmente se forman colas muy largas, pero si vais a cenar pronto, hacia las 7:00 hay poca espera y vale la pena ya que toda la comida es espectacular, tanto las croquetas, el bacalao, el pulpo o cualquier cosa que pidáis.

IT's so rewarding watch people do what they love and being part of it for a little while!
I went to Voltaria with my wife and my parents. We waited around 30 minutes for a table. The waiter (and probably the
Owner) was both charming and profesional. He helped us choosing and we ended up trying 8 diferent tradicional dishes (including dessert). All of them remarkably delicious!
The price was surprisingly low and the quality excellent!
Just go to this place is you are around Porto and wait if you have to. IT will be worth it!

진짜 맛있고 친절합니다. 가격도 강가의 비싼 집들에 비해 저렴합니다. 사장님과 직원들 모두 친절하고 친근하여 대화도 나누고 좋았습니다. 문어요리는 전혀 질기지않고 식빵 뜯어지듯 부드럽게 잘리고 야채와 토마토 전부 신선합니다. 올리브오일도 훌륭하여 전혀 기름지단 느낌없이 풍부한 올리브 향을 느끼실 수 있어요. 진짜 맛있습니다. 에피타이저로 고기 파이도 포르투갈 전통 음식이니 맛보세요 전혀 고기냄새 없이 맛있습니다. 샹그리아도 한잔으로 식사 내내 즐길 수 있었습니다. 강력 추천합니다! 문어요리와 흑돼지요리 맛있었어요. 가게가 작아 테이블이 몇 개 없어 조금 불편했지만 음식이 너무 맛있고 재료들이 신선하다고 느껴졌어요.
프란세자냐는 맛있긴 했는데 소스가 조금 짰고 한 사람이 혼자 다 먹기에는 포만감이 너무 들었어요.
서빙해주시는 분이 재미있었고 서빙도 매우 빨랐어요.

Simplemente solo puedo decir "Excelencia " por el trato, la dedicación, la exquisitez en cada uno de los platos que nos ha recomendado Hugo.
Gran conocedor de la cultura del vino junto a su mujer Fátima que entre cacerolas se maneja como pez en el agua, una " Chef " excelente.
Habeis conseguido que la espera y ese encuentro entre cultura y gastronomía, haya resultado fantástica.

Wir waren gestern in der Voltaria zu Mittag essen. Leider haben wir eine Art „Rush Hour“ erwischt und mussten auf einen heiß begehrten Platz in dem kleinen Restaurant warten. Aber bereits nach den Vorspeisen war klar, das Warten hat sich gelohnt. Mit einer selten erlebten netten und aufgeschlossenen Art wurden die hervorragenden Speisen serviert und alle Fragen ausführlich und extrem höflich beantwortet. Abgerundet wurde das tolle Geschmackserlebniss mit der wohl besten Mousse die ich je essen durfte.

A wee gem of a place to eat in Porto. Although we had to wait perhaps just under an hour for a table (it has only around 5 in the restaurant) IT WAS WELL WORTH THE WAIT which I cannot stress enough. The service was warm, welcoming and extremely personable and the food was out of this world delicious, remarkable considering the prices. We had caldo verde to start, then the pork cheek and rice, and the Francesinha along with a bottle of the red Pousio. Well and truly a recommendable place- if you are a patient person who appreciates fine food in an intimate setting with service to match, you will be truly rewarded.

This one is the second time I come to eat at this site and I like it more and more.
It is a restaurant with traditional Portuguese dishes but with a personal and modern touch.
The place is small, and therefore there are always people waiting for their turn to eat. In my case, I chose to order a glass of Vinho Verde to make the wait more enjoyable.
The menu has a lot of variety and the ideal is to choose an entree and a main course. I have tried the cod in all its versions and the ones I liked the most are "Bacalhao A Broa" and "Ao Ze do Pipo"

Restaurante pequeño (5 mesas) y con 1h 30min de espera, pero que merecen mucho la pena, puesto que tiene una calidad en la comida y en el servicio excelentes. A really special place to eat. You'll often see a long queue outside and that's for a good reason. We arrived early to preempt the queue and thankfully only had a short wait before getting a table.
Seeing the prices we were expecting smaller portion sizes but the chap suggested we had ordered a bit too much and he'd leave one of the dishes for last and check if we still wanted it. He was right and we'd already had enough by the time. Many places might just give you all the food anyway or not give you any indication of how much you're ordering.
All the food we did have was fantastic. They were accompanied by suggestions of where to start and the best order to taste things. The cheeses and meats were all fantastic.
Thankfully we did manage to find some room for dessert and some port. The cream from heaven was fantastic and a great way to finish the meal.
I really can't overstate how fantastically friendly, helpful and welcoming they are here. They were really great with the wandering kid from the table next to ours. The man working there was kind enough to humour my attempts and speaking Portuguese and seemed to appreciate I'd made some effort.

Очень уютное маленькое кафе с скромным интерьером, маленькими столиками и барными "табуретками":-) Меню: классическая португальская кухня(тапасы, треска, осьминог, свинина). Тапасы очень удивили :-) прямо авторское прочтение блюда. См. фото. Когда принесли первая мысль я не заказывал паштел-де-ната. В общем тапасы в этом кафе это хрустящее слоеное тесто и различная преимущественно рыбная начинка. Попробовать стоит, вкусно. Из основных блюд попробовали осьминога с картофелем и треску. Осьминог приготовлен отлично, нежный тает во рту. Треска жене тоже понравилась. Отдельно стоит сказать о обслуживании, как я понял обслуживает сам хозяин. Он бегло говорит на английском и французком языках, очень приветлив и общителен, интересовался откуда приехали. Когда попросили счет поинтересовался, как это звучит на русском. Долго не мог произнести, но вроде выучил. PS: очень приятное во всех отношениях место, можно рекомендовать. Цены средние. Нам ужин обошелся около 50€.

Si estás en Oporto tiene que ir a Voltaria. Seguramente haya cola y tengas que esperar en la calle, incluso es probable que la espera sea de más de una hora pero cuando entres... déjate llevar por los consejos del dueño, no tengas prisa y disfruta del arte de comer y de la comida.

Cuando llegas te sorprende lo pequeño que es el sitio. La dueña nos recibió y comenzó a hablar en un buen castellano y nos dió la carta en nuestro idioma!! Nos explicó de maravilla los diferentes platos portugueses que tenían y nos aconsejó en todo lo que le pedimos. La comida estaba riquísima y muy bien de precio.

L'assiette de mezze est top ! Chorizo, morue, compoté d'oignon... Le plateau de fromage aussi. Tout est fait maison avec un bon savoir faire Portuguais mais la Francesina (croque monsieur) est vraiment pas bonne. C'est un croque monsieur au jambon gras, steaks de plusieurs viande et saucisse avec du fromage caoutchouteux et une sauce au Porto, chacun ses goûts mais nous étions 3 et aucune de nous n'a appréciées.

This restaurant provided me with genuinely one of the best dining experiences of my life. From the moment you enter, you feel cozy and at home. The spacing makes the place feel intimate, and being able to see the cooks do their work makes the restaurant seem that much more transparent. The staff was incredibly genuine and felt genuinely cared for by the waitress. We had a great Porto selection, an appetizer of croqueta bacalau, two different bacalau main entrees, and a Nata do Ceu for dessert. Each dish felt so reminiscent of a home cooked meal, with the taste and texture being absolutely perfect, fresh off the presses. HIGHLY recommend experiencing this restaurant and all it has to offer. Get there early before seats fill up! Thanks again to the staff for an amazing experience :)

Personal agradable, calidad en la coda asegurada.
De entrante pedimos unas croquetas de alheira con reducción de vino de Oporto, el contraste de sabores entre el embutido y el vino hace de este plato una apuesta segura.
Para compartir pedimos pulpo al horno que estaba muy bueno y una francesinha que estaba bien.
Los postres caseros muy buenos, las natas de ceu tremendas. Recomendable visita.
Lo único malo es que el local es muy prqueño poco sitio entre mesas y mesas pequeñas, solo hay 6 mesas lo que es casi seguro que al llegar tengas que hacer cola, nosotros estuvimos 40 min para poder sentarnos.

Vinos este sitio recomendado en un blog, es muy pequeño y tiene como 6 mesas. Cuando llegamos ya había entorno a 6 personas esperando lo que implicaba esperarse un servicio entero y nos llevó una hora y media casi de espera, pero una de las personas que estaba en la fila nos dijo que merecía la pena. Los entrantes que pedimos para compartir son ricos, el bacalao bastante bueno pero lo mejor para mi fue la franzesinha, espectacular! Comimos por 22€ y fue una experiencia muy buena. El camarero atiende muy bien, recomienda y habla varios idiomas entre ellos español

Amazing experience, the best meal in Porto. The fish in nata was great, the codfish with mashed potatoes too. We were very well adviced concerning both drinks and food. El mimo en el trato y la calidad y presentación de los platos se traduce en un lugar con mucho encanto para degustar platos típicos de Oporto deliciosos. La comida de muy buena calidad, casera y típica. El bacalao de 10.
El único inconveniente es el espacio tan reducido que tiene el restaurante. Se llena muy pronto y tienes que hacer cola en la calle, normalmente de entre 30min a 1hora ya que solo hay 5 mesas. Es por esto que no he puesto 5*****

상벤투역 바로 앞에 위치하며 테이블수는 적지만 요령 것 시간 피해가면 금방 앉을 수 있다. 요리에 정성이 얼마나 들어가는지 받는 순간부터 다 먹는 순간까지 감탄사!!!

The cod natas style was amazing and the owner was very friendly, offering a glass of rose while we waited because people were staying long after they had finished eating. The wait started out less pleasantly because of some people trying to cut in line ahead of others standing in the rain, but it was handled and they were kicked out. Esperamos una hora y media en la cola ya que el local es muy pequeño con 6 mesitas de 2-4 personas. Mereció la pena la espera, ya que la atencion y el servicio fueron inmejorables, y la comida deliciosa a muy buen precio.

Cuatro personas tomamos croquetas y ensalada de entrante, y dos raciones de bacalao. Pagamos menos de 10€ cada una. No tomamos postre, ya que estabamos muy llenas pero tenian buenísima pinta. Muy recomendable!!

Nos sentimos como en nuestra casa. La comida excelente y el trato insuperable. Son super amables. Nos habían recomendado la francesinha como la mejor de Porto e intentamos comer allí por tres veces, lo conseguimos a la tercera porque antes de abrir ya estábamos en la puerta y mereció muchísimo la pena y por cierto, el bacalao con puré de patata aún supera a la francesinha. Era nuestro último día y regresamos a Cantabria con el mejor sabor de boca.

What a not so hidden gem! We waited an hour to be seated for dinner and it was completely worth it. They do not take reservations.
Everybody that leaves the restaurant will look at the line and tell you it's worth it. They speak English and the menu is also available in English.
We ordered a variety of dishes and loved them all!
Baked Cod with Mashed Potatoes - THE creaaamiest mashed potatoes I've ever had. The cod was great but it took a back seat to the potatoes for sure.
Half Platter Portuguese Meats and Cheese - Yum! Get this as an appetizer. You can ask for more bread.
Soup - We think it's some sort of lentil blend. But it was delicous.
Voltaria Salad - Simple fruit salad that was nice to eat in between bites
2 savory pastries that I forgot :( but were also yum
Cream of Heaven dessert - A crushed cookies, cream and egg yolk sauce that was out of this world
And they have a huge goblet of sparkling sangria which was really refreshing.
SUPER affordable, they don't rush you at all. Definitely going on the favorites list of Porto.

Este pequeno recanto no centro do Porto, faz com que o convívio perca importância e dê lugar ao saborear. Fomos recebidos por uma senhora, que acredito ser a dona do estabelecimento (infelizmente não sei o nome), bastante simpática e atenciosa. Parava para conversar nas mesas, sempre preocupada se o cliente estava sendo bem atendido e até tirou dúvidas minhas sobre a culinária local.
Quando a comida, meu Deus!!! Foi a melhor refeição que já fiz em Porto. Comida saborosa, deliciosa na verdade e pratos bonitos. A sobremesa Natas do Céu realmente é do céu! A princípio exitei ao restaurante, mas quando experimente da comida, não vi outra melhor em Porto.

If you want to eat well and at a fairly normal price, this is your place. The dishes are made at the moment. The cod is very good and tender.
And by far the waitresses offered the best service ever.
Despite of all of this, the establishment is too small and the most probably thing is that you'll have to end up in the cue, but it's totally worth it.

The place is small yet the love for food is enormous. I had my best meal in Porto here and Ms Owner was so attentive. She “forced” me to try 3 different wines before I was happy with one, and she was more than happy to redo any dishes to meet other customers taste. Nettes kleines Restaurant mit ausgezeichneter portugiesischer Küche. Nach Wahl sind kleine Tapas aber auch größere portugiesische Hauptgerichte bestellbar. Darüberhinaus gibt es eine Auswahl an sehr leckeren hausgemachten Getränken. Das Restaurant ist recht schön eingerichtet mit nur wenigen Tischen von denen aus man direkt den Köchinnen zusehen kann. Die Bedienung war sehr zuvorkommend und nett. Bei unserer Ankunft mussten wir nur lediglich 3 Minuten warten bis der nächste Tisch geputzt war. Dazu mussten wir aufgrund des geringen Platzes kurz vor dem Restaurant warten wurden aber sobald alles fertig war informiert. Alles in allem nur zu empfehlen!

I had the black pork cheek, a lemonade and dessert called cream from heaven and I paid 14.50€. The food was absolutely delicious and the people who work there are so nice. I will recommend everyone to have at least one meal there if not more. It's a very small place and fills up quickly. I had to wait 15 mins to get a place but the wait was worth it. So be ready to wait but It will pay off the minute you put the first bite in your mouth.

I found this a very good spot for a dinner. Unfortunately I had to wait for a while and keep in mind it is a small place and of course with such a good rating it seems to always have plenty of guests. The quality of the food was indeed very good. The owner is very entertaining although I think it is not always the best approach (I wanted to ask for a drink but couldn't catch his attention and finally gave up... ). Overall a good experience.

O espaço é bem pequeno (apenas 5 mesas internas e 1 externa), então chegue cedo ou pode contar com pelo menos 40 minutos de espera. Esta, porém, vale a pena!

We enjoyed our last lunch in Porto, in this lovely little restaurant. We were lucky to grab the only table outside and had some lovely dishes including Octopus and Cod. Our waitress for was fab too- so friendly and helpful and recommended a great bottle of wine to complement our lunch. Like all the good restaurants in Porto, it's popular so you may need to wait a little for a table- it's worth it though :)

One of the best, if not the best, meals I've had in Portugal.
Everything we ordered was delicious, especially the blackened pork cheeks with rice. Service is extremely cheerful and helpful.
We went early at around 530PM and still had to wait about 20 minutes. By the time we left there was around 16 people queued outside. There's only 4 or 5 tables available so the wait can be long but it's worth it.

The food here is amazing and Fatima and her team are the loveliest and friendliest people you could hope to meet! Any of the dishes would be a great choice but if you want to try the local Francesinha it would be a challenge to find it anywhere better than here. The fact that there is always a queue is testament to the food but you can have a glass of wine whist you stand outside perusing the fabulous menu!

This is a restaurant we normally shouldn't recommend to others, otherwise we'll have to wait in line the next time we come here :) But if you are in Porto and want amazing food and wine and the nicest and friendliest hosts you can imagine, you need to go there. Estuvimos esperando cerca de 45 min (algo impensable para mí en otro momento de mi vida) pero la espera mereció la pena. La comida que sirven aquí y el trato es más que merecedor de tal espera .
Hay que pedir la vez en la calle (si tienes poca suerte) y la encargada te dirá el tiempo de espera aprox. que te queda.
Muy recomendable el “bacalao a brass”, Francesinha y sobre todo: EL POSTRE (adjunto fotos) buah!!!!

Llegamos a este local por las buenas críticas leídas. Es cierto que tuvimos que esperar (cerca de una hora), el local es pequeñito y tienen pocas mesas pero la espera se compensa con la fantástica atención y la deliciosa comida. Los quesos riquísimos, una pequeña tapa para ir abriendo boca; el bacalao à brás muy rico y la francesinha buenísima (potente y picante). Rematamos con un par de postres que estaban de muerte, sobretodo el llamado “nata del cielo”! BRUTAL

He tenido la suerte de que un amigo me recomendara este local y poder disfrutarlo con mi familia. Es un sitio pequeño y sencillo, de ambiente tranquilo y comida deliciosa. No podría destacar solo una cosa porque es toda una experiencia, para nosotros no le falta un detalle. Tanto el dueño como la cocinera son encantadores y sus recomendaciones muy valiosas! This was our first stop in Portugal/ Porto, and it definitely set the tone for all the food, wine and service. It’s a very small restaurant, luckily we got seated right away when we went around 10:30am. By the time we were leaving, there was already 3-4 groups waiting.
Try everything and be prepared to wanna try more! Plus the price was very reasonable. Don’t hesitate, just go.

Il locale è molto piccolo e tipico,il menù è composto da piccole tapas di tutti tipi ma anche da piatti più sostanziosi.
Tutti quello che abbiamo mangiato compreso il dolce,il vino e il bicchiere di Porto era veramente squisito.

Por donde empezar jojo. Camarero de 10, atiende en todos los idiomas y es muy cercano, un encanto vaya. Nos recomendó con total sinceridad la framcesinha y el bacalhau a bras así como una tabla de quesos de la zona inmejorable! En definitiva un acierto.
Lo único no acepta reservas y es chiquitín, mejor ir pronto o esperar un poco, pero todo merece la pena!

We waited a bit to get a table on a Saturday night, but it was worth every minute. The service was superbe, and the dishes were extremely good: we tried the codfish in two different ways and both of them were delicious. The dessert was good as well. Plus, the price was very low for what you get. I would definitely recommend to come here, even if you have to wait to get seated. It's probably one of the best places in Porto.

Nei miei viaggi ho fatto la conoscenza di pochi ristoratori dediti al loro lavoro come Ugo di Voltaria. Tra l'altro il nome del ristorante, fatevelo spiegare da lui in persona, è tutta una storia che vi porterà ad apprezzarlo ancora di più. Le miei cinque stelle si riferiscono al menù, alla qualità dei prodotti e al prezzo contenuto, e all'accoglienza, quella vera, che Ugo riserva a ogni singolo cliente. Ho mangiato con gusto ogni singolo boccone e, cosa importante, mi sono sentita a casa. Carissimo, un sincero abbraccio dalla coppia italiana!

This is indeed a gem in Porto.
Even though it's small and there's usually a wait, it's totally worth it.
One reason for the wait, besides the awesome food, is that the guys from the restaurant take their time to make you feel awesome. They chat with you about the food, the ingredients, they tell you stories about the places where they source them, they tell you why they don't have a certain type of Porto wine...
Do yourself a favour and eat here. You won't regret it! And you might even learn something new about Portuguese cuisine and traditions!

주인아저씨와 웨이트리스 언니가 매우 친절해서 식사 내내 기분이 좋았어요. 감자와 계란이 들어간 대구요리와 Francesinha를 시켰어요. 더 시키려니까 아저씨께서 그 정도면 충분할거라고 하셨어요 ㅋㅋㅋㅋ 대구는 싱싱하고 고소했고 Francesinha는 각종 고기가 들어간 치즈버거같아요. 홈메이드 아이스티와 홈메이드 디저트 모두 만족스러웠습니다. 가격도 착하고 참 마음에 드는 식당이네요!

Pagamos 32€ con dos copas de vino, dos platos de bacalao, un entrante y dos postres. Estaba todo increíble.Tienen una selección de platos típicos que van desde el norte hasta el sur de Portugal. El camarero, que además es el dueño del local, nos atendió con suma amabilidad, nos explicó curiosidades de los distintos platos, postres, del local y del nombre, así como de la forma en la que se preparaba el bacalao hace unas décadas. Las cocineras son muy agradables también.
El local es pequeño, pero eso asegura una atención delicada y detallista como en pocos lugares.
Siempre que nos acercábamos había cola, pero merece la pena, y mucho, la espera.

The staff are very friendly and went out of their way to help us order since we didn't speak Portuguese. This is a tiny little spot but a warm memory of Porto for our honeymoon.

Small but perfectly formed, the lack of space inside is more than made up for by attentive and friendly staff, divine food and extremely reasonable prices. There may be a wait outside for a table but it’s very much worth it!

Pequeñisimo restaurante portugués con una cocina elaborada, todo cocinado con mucho cariño y de elaboración propia. Además, el trato es inmejorable, muy cercano y familiar, te tratan como en casa. Felicidades.
