Fairly touristy and overpriced. Found it overall lacked flavour. Over 2 hours for a single dish is far too long to wait even in Portugal, with the addition of a rude and passive aggressive chef. There are many much better restaurants which we found while visiting. I would not recommend this.

Go here only if you don't mind waiting a couple hours for food. We went here and ordered the shrimp ceviche (good), idiot potatoes (needed salt or herbs, lacked flavor), and crispy mushrooms (also lacked flavor but we added the ceviche juices and they were ok). All of this took an hour before it reached our table. Long, but understandable in Portugal. We also ordered the idiot rice, but I guess you're an idiot if you order it. It took nearly 2 hours for it to be ready, but we told them not to bother because we had already finished our bottle of wine, water, and other food at this point. We told the server we no longer wanted the dish and asked if anyone else had ordered it and they could serve it to them instead (so they don't have to wait another hour), and they offered blank stares. We offered to pay for it but we didn't want it anymore, and the chef came out angry and told us "this food is not McDonald's" quite rudely. Yes, we eat at many nice restaurants that make food fresh, and have never had to wait 2 hours for any dish, especially a rice dish that the server told us would take 15 minutes to make. Any restaurant that cares about customers would at least offer an apology when having to wait 2 hours for a dish they said takes 15 mins. They should at least not be rude and suggest we expect McDonald's when we politely offer to pay for it when not even getting the food. Don't be an idiot - skip this one.

Excellent atmosphere and selection of dishes. Stylish selection of drinks, but can seem bit overpriced. However, you leave satisfied and in a good mood. Take simple starter and continue from there as the concept is to share.

I was searching for ceviche all over Porto after finding Panco was closed for renovations (and not having yet discovered Flow) and Idiota was a nice find near my hotel. The owner is very nice. The sea bass ceviche was very 'Peruvian' and simple and very tasty.

Absolutely loved this place. Stumbled on it by accident after two places we wanted to go to were closed. So happy we found this place. Loved the vibe, the waiter was so lovely, cool music playing and the food was amazing!!!! Good prices too. Definitely will come back again.

We went there only for drinks and dessert. The waitress was nice and gave us some recommendations. The desserts were indeed amazing good. We really enjoyed it. The place looks very nice and cozy. It can be a bit pricey indeed as we paid 20 euros for 2 deserts, 2 glasses of wine and a bottle of sparkling water.

Very nice staff and good service, but the food was very strange, underwhelming and overpriced. We paid nearly 70 euros for two people to eat mostly raw food and awful dessert. The chef also seemed arrogant and offended when we weren’t loving his odd flavor combinations. Being different for difference sake is not delicious!

Ambiance tamisée. Très bonne cuisine de tapas assaisonnés avec justesse (8-9€ et petites portions) mais nous nous sommes régalé. Excellents desserts à petits prix (4,5€). Attention vérifiez néanmoins votre addition. Parlent anglais et français.

This is a splendid place to go for good food well served. We had a meal here and decided we would come back on our last night in Porto. As it happened we didn't wait that long. There are any number of places in Porto that you can eat well, idiota is amongst the very best of them. Enjoy!

Espectacular sitio, acogedor, con candelabros, una pecera colgante. Vamos a la comida.. BUENISIMA! Bien preparada y presentada. La atención de la camarera lo mejor de lo mejor, amable, educada, explicando todo, hablando ingles, francés, castellano.. ese dia faltaba personal y estaba el local lleno por lo que los tiempos de espera eran algo largos, pero merece la pena de verdad. Relacion calidad precio perfecta. No es barato pero tampoco caro. Según lo que comas, puedes comer 3 o 4 tapas por 20-30 euros o irte a mas alto. 100% recomendado.

INCREDIBLE! You must go to this restaurant if you are staying in Porto. We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance and the waiters kindly prepared a table for us even though it was very busy. Our food came out very quickly and was insanely delicious. We were so amazed by how great and well priced the food was.

We walked by this place and thought we'd give it a try. Unfortunately they were fully booked that night but we reserved two nights late. We had a great dinner and loved the vibe. The staff were caring and worked very hard. The tomato salad and clams were stellar.

We decided to go here for a date night while in Porto and we loved it. The portions were a bit small but we left quite satisfied after ordering a few things to try. The staff were very friendly - I’d recommend booking a table ahead of time. We got lucky and there was a table free because we arrived early but it quickly filled up. The shrimp ceviche was delicious and so were the roasted potatoes.

Friendly staff who were able to speak english every well. A modern, cosy feel with low lighting. Good tapas menu. Low cost.

Ich kann dieses entzückende Restaurant nur wärmstens empfehlen. Das Essen ist hervorragend, das Service sehr aufmerksam und freundlich und das Ambiente ist sehr angenehm. Von wunderschöner Fadomusik begleitet durften wir liebevoll zubereitete Köstlichkeiten genießen und einen stimmungsvollen Abend genießen. Als unsere zwei Kinder vom portugiesischen Pudding, der für sie zu ungewohnt geschmeckt hat, weniger begeistert waren, haben sie uns diesen einfach nicht verrechnet. Das finde ich echt sehr großzügig. Danke!!! (dafür und einen fantastischen Gaumengenuß).

Lange nicht mehr so ausgezeichnet gegessen. Service und Qualität des Essens sind unglaublich gut. Einige der vegetarischen Gerichte können auch vegan zubereitet werden. Nach Empfehlung des Kellners haben wir alle Gerichte miteinander geteilt. Für 5 Leute haben wir 6 Gerichte + Salat bestellt. Die Küche hat eigenständig daraus eine Reihenfolge entwickelt die sehr gut auf die einzelnen Gerichte abgestimmt war. Äußerst empfehlenswert, nicht nur wer gut in Porto essen möchte sondern auch ein so ausgezeichneten Service und glücklich machendes Essen genießen möchte! Dieses Restaurant kommt auf die oberen Ränge meiner Lieblings-Restaurants!

We found this place randomly. To our surprise, it was a wonderful cooking, close to gastronomy. The waiter was very caring and professional. We had a great time and we highly recommand this place. P.S. prices are fine for 2 people

Lovely food and wine, and it had a very nice, laid back atmosphere. Dishes arrived bit by bit, which meant we could enjoy them as they came over time. This, coupled with the friendly staff, meant it was a fantastic dinner.

Lovely small place with great and inventive food that has Portuguese roots and modern twist. Very good, but also manageable wine list. We were so lucky to be served by João who was professional, kind and funny all at once. You should try their squash soup and Idiota potatoes for sure!

This place was so lovely. The waiters were so kind and attentive. There food portions were a little small but the food was so delicious it didn’t matter. Order a few dishes and share and drink the sangria for sure.

Can not go wrong! Tasted all vegan plates and they were amazing! And yes we had an amazing chocolate cake, and then the owner tells us..its not the best one...so come and try!

Delicious food and great atmosphere but the desserts are true winner. The passion fruit tart hit all the senses - a unique flavor combination that left us quite awestruck.
