Had the most magical afternoon with Hugo and Silvia. They are the most wonderful people and their Airbnb painting experience was one of the big highlights of our trip. Highly recommend!

Stopped into store to purchase a painting. After talking with the lovely owners we realized they were holding a painting class the next day and decided to join. It ended up being a highlight of our trip to Portugal. Not only are Hugo and Silvia the nicest people but the class was very reasonably priced. Hugo was able to make it look like we had actual artistic abilities!!

One of the best ‘must do’ experience when in Porto. I met this couple last year for the first time, and loved my painting experience so much, that I booked another holiday to Porto this year, with two days of painting with Hugo do Lago. The ‘Paint & Port wine’ experience is amazing with a selection of locally made finger food, and selection of Port wines. However, also loved the Watercolour guided painting session, as it helped me to get over my fear of not controlling the paint medium. :) Highly recommend this experience for amy skill level. Hugo is amazing at patiently guiding through the process, and Silvia adds the charm to the experience, sharing their life stories. I’ve come back with great pieces of art that I’m happy and proud to hang up as a memory from my trip to Porto! :)

In addition to showcasing some beautiful art and having helpful art classes, the faculty was extremely friendly and helpful. Definitely a great place to visit when in Porto!

He tries hard to bring out any artistic talent. Port and snacks are provided although it is hard to drink and eat much while attempting to complete the painting. In practice he will help you with the more intricate parts of the painting. He and his wife are very nice and helpful.

Hugo and Silvia are both such lovely people and made this watercolour experience so much fun! The material quality was superb and I learnt a lot in the process :) thanks for everything, will do a class again when I'm back in porto :)

Une magnifique expérience à vivre seul, en couple ou en famille. Certainement le meilleur moment que nous avons passé à Porto !!! Lago et Sylvia sont des très accueillants et aux petits soins, Lago est, en plus d'être un artiste, excellent pédagogue et grâce à lui nous permet de réaliser un souvenir splendide et original. Que vous soyez amateur d'art ou comme moi incapable de dessiner quoi que ce soit, allez-y les yeux fermés vous serez surpris du résultat final. Merci à vous deux, obrigado :)

Des peintures magnifiques, des personnes simplement adorables, je suis allée prendre un cours d'aquarelle ici, et ce fut ma meilleure expérience à Porto, l'on ressort avec une peinture si jolie qu'on a du mal à réaliser qu'on l'a peinte ! Coup de coeur, je recommande!

My family of four visited Porto from the United States. We had known for a while that we wanted to take an art class as a family, and we're so happy we ended up choosing a water color painting class with Hugo. There really are no words to adequately describe how wonderful of an experience it was for all four of us. Our kids are 8 years old and not much can hold their attention for long, but they were captivated from the first moment and both of them absolutely loved the entire experience, as did me and my wife. Hugo and his wife Silvia could not have been more inviting, patient and kind. If we are ever back in Porto, we will be sure to stop by and visit our new friends. We can't recommend Lago Artes by Hugo do Lago highly enough... 5+ Stars!

Loja de artistas pintores onde também se podem emoldurar as proprias obras aí compradas como as suas próprias, pessoas extremamente simpáticas e agradaveis com muitos e belos trabalhos seus, feitos na própria loja. Mandei emoldurar um azulejo pintado à mão, e fiquei muito satisfeito com o trabalho por tudo isto recomendo.
