Cet endroit est comme on aimerait en trouver tout le temps. Un peu à l'écart de la foule. L'ambiance y est conviviale, chaleureuse. Très grand choix de vins et bières et autres boissons. Des tapas avec des produits locaux et de qualité.
Nous avons été très bien accueilli avec beaucoup de gentillesse et fait patienter le temps qu'une table se libère. Vraiment une très belle expérience!!!

This place was nothing short of amazing, each bite and sip of green wine tasting better than the last. We had a party of 4 people, so we each ordered 3 tapas and it was the perfect amount of food, still leaving room for delicious dessert. I highly recommend the Toucinho do ce (almond cake with a pumpkin jelly and soft walnuts)- it was divine! So was the cheese plate, olives...and just every single plate. The waitstaff was very friendly and provided suburb, efficient service. I loved the postcard wall comprised of postcards from guests who live all over the world- very original! You will be sent home with a postcard to send back once you arrive home. :) Thank you again for an amazing dining experience, and we will return!

A Bolina is a great tapas restaurant in the center of Porto! The tapas are medium sized, but 3-4 tapas are more than enough for 2 persons. The service is professional, fast, kind and aware about the menu. The prices are very fair for the quality they offer! The location with the indoors environment make the overall experience at this place unique. A Bolina is totally recommended!

A fabulous, cozy spot right on the river food is perfect, lots of variety, and great value. Service is attentive without being smothering. We had a group of 14, which they handled without a problem. Definitely worth a visit.

Depois de ler ótimas avaliações sobre o local, fui almoçar com meu marido, e ao chegar a porta perguntamos a um atendente sobre mesa, na esplanada e fomos ignorados, como o senhor esteva a atender sozinho, entendemos que o mesmo podia estar muito ocupado com as outras mesas na esplanada. Mas depois de 5 minutos a aguardar, e com o senhor passar varias vezes a nossa frente sem dizer nada, fomos embora.

Belle situation en bord du fleuve, avec possibilité de manger en terrasse (dommage trop peu de tables par beau temps) ou à l'intérieur (joli décor). C'est tranquille loin de l'agitation avec une vue splendide sur le Douro. Le concept est basé sur le partage des plats, un peu comme des tapas, ce sont de petites portions mais goûteuses de spécialités portugaises (attention: les oreilles de porc, proposition osée, quand même très spéciale, ne fut pas vraiment à notre goût mais sans aucun doute aux goûts d'amateurs de ce genre de préparation).
C'est plutôt un bar à vins qu'un restaurant à proprement parler. Nous y sommes allés le midi mais j'imagine qu'en soirée il doit y régner une chouette atmosphère. Il faut juste ne pas s'atttendre à recevoir de gros mets copieux. Le patron Mario, sympathique, est prêt à vous faire plaisir en expliquant ses plats en français.
En sortant vous recevez une carte postale que Mario vous propose de lui renvoyer avec votre commentaire: tout le mur intérieur est rempli de cartes postales du monde entier, classées par pays des expéditeurs aux avis toujours positifs. Alors faites vous votre propre idée !

Magnifico restaurante a las orillas del Duero. Comida tradicional del norte de Portugal. Personal muy amable, te explican la carta en castellano y te aconsejan sus platos así como la bebida que debe acompañar cada uno de ellos. El precio es muy competitivo.

Absolutely adore this restaurant. It wasn't our first choice when looking through Trip Advisor but I'm extremely glad that we ended up booking in. A little out of the way but easy enough to find via Google maps you are warmly greeted by the staff and shown to your table.
They explain the menu (a small but perfectly adequate variety of tapas dishes) to you as some of it may not be clear and there are daily specials to be noted. We asked for recommendations in terms of how many dishes we might need and ordered 4. The staff are extremely accommodating in terms of offering recommendations and they make you feel so welcome.
The food itself is just beautiful and we really enjoyed every that we ordered including dessert and it's reasonably priced as well.
Best bit is they give you a postcard to send back to them from home! It's a great little touch. Definitely worth a visit.

Decepcionante... reservamos para tres a las 19:30... nos dijeron que regresaramos a las 21:30, cuando le avisamos al mesero que teníamos reserva nos dijo que se olvidaran y que no tenían sitio. Me ha parecido simplemente falta de respeto. Vergonzante.

L'endroit à faire en cas de passage à Porto. La vue sur le pont est magnifique vous etes au calme loin du bruit ambiant du cais de Ribeira. Les serveurs vous propose une carte en fonction de votre nationalité et vous explique chacun d'entre eux ( serveur poli et agréable ) Tester le vin vert et essayer un peu tout sur la carte, les prix sont tres attractif, pour 2 compter environ 40€ avec un apéritif et deux boisson.

De 10. Simplemente increíble. La atención exquisita, al llegar y ver que éramos españolas nos trajo un menú en español y nuestro camarero nos explicó uno a uno en que consistía la carta, que es breve pero deliciosa.
La ubicación es excelente, tuvimos el placer de cenar a la orilla del Duero disfrutando de las vistas del puente, pero lo suficientemente alejados del bullicio de la zona masificada por los turistas.
Decidimos probar la ensalada de tomate (tan buena como simple te pueda parecer a simple vista, para mí que ya me he acostumbrado a los tomates de supermercado fue un oasis ver como ésos se deshacían en mi boca), la ensalada de bacalao con garbanzos (exquisita), la bolina de alheira (la mejor alheira que probamos en Oporto sin duda) y una tabla mixta de embutidos y queso (riquísimo todo).
Pedimos vino blanco afrutado de Douro, recomendado por el camarero y sangría, ambos excelentes. Con respecto al precio, la cena nos costó 30 euros, puede que parezca más elevado para la zona, pero a nosotras nos pareció un precio muy muy razonable para la calidad de los platos.
Como curiosidad, al terminar la cena nos dieron una postal para que la mandemos desde España (que lo haremos sin duda) ya que tienen un panel donde coleccionan los sellos de los distintos países de la gente que les visita.
Si vas a Oporto, enserio, ve. No te vas a arrepentir.

Excellent tapa bar with a wide selection of wines and alcohol. A Bolina is located right beside the Duoro River. The waiters were very friendly and explained each dish of the menu for us. It's a little away from all the other places, but definitely a very delicious place to go to. Their food is described as northern Portuguese and so their selection is has more cured meats and not as much seafood.
Overall a really pleasant experience!

In summary, delicious food but forgetful service. Staff were very helpful arranging a table when we had no reservation. That's where the fun ended.
The first staff member who arranged the table worked inside but we were seated outside. We ordered 5 items from their small, but tasty menu and only 3 arrived. The two missing items were the speciality sausages I really wanted to try. So, we had the trilogy of olives, tomato salad and the bread, cheese and meat platter. All delicious. Actually the quantity was just enough for us two light weights.
Then I asked for a coffee to finish but that too was forgotten. Sigh. Could have been awesome, ended up average.
The owner, a lovely, genuine guy (like most people here), came at the end but didn't offer any explanation or any compensation.

Parfait.
Plats excellents : typiques, raffinés, uniquement des produits artisanaux de grande qualité : top.
Endroit superbe : vue exceptionnelle sur le Douro et le pont Dom-Luis, super déco.
Serveurs extrêmement sympathiques : notre serveur nous a bien fait rire et beaucoup appris sur sa culture sans jamais se montrer envahissant. Il nous a même raccompagné jusqu'à notre métro qui était sur sa route pour pas que l'on se perde.
Et clou du spectacle : une addition absolument ridicule.
Allez y d'urgence, vous y retournerez.

Do you like your cheese board to have 3 dry cheeses, which all taste similar, look and taste like they were cut up 2 days ago, and then served as ‘fresh’, and the other 2 cheeses which are bland in flavour?
Do you like a mixture of dry and flaky bread, most of which inedible?
Do you like tough, dry, sausage?
If the answer is no, then avoid À Bolina. It’s a shame, as the restaurant has potential.
My advice, read the other negative reviews, (and the disgusting replies from their management), and find some somewhere else to spend your evening & money.

Cosy tapas restaurant with friendly personnel. The place is quite small so I would recommend to book a table via TripAdvisor if you're a larger company or if it's a busy night. Overall tasty food and tasty wines but I'm (maybe a bit unfairly) comparing it to other restaurants we were at and therefore the 4 stars instead of 5.

밤에 늦게까지 하고 타파스 메뉴라서 부담없이 한잔씩 하기에 좋습니다. 식사마치면 엽서를 주시는데 각자 나라로 돌아간 후 이곳 식당으로 엽서를 보낼 수 있습니다. 각국에서 받은 엽서들을 벽에 쭉 붙여놓으셨는데 보는 재미가 쏠쏠합니다. 저도 곧 보내려구요!

Great little place only 100 metres away from the main tourists spots on the front but with the same view. Here you'll find much better priced menus and the food that is made in the centre of the restaurant rather than being mass produced for crowds. Straight from the steps down from the bridge or outside the cable car to the top it's a must visit if want either a quick stop of or an evening meal.

실내에 있어서 동 루이스 강이 바로 보이진 않았지만 중요치 않게 여겨질 정도로 좋은 곳.

직원분들이 모두 친절하셨어요. 메뉴판을 한참 보고있었더니 메뉴에 대해 하나하나 설명해주시고, 필요에 따라 사진도 보여주셔서 쉽게 주문했습니다. 가게 분위기도 좋았고, 뷰도 최고입니다. 추천해주신 음식 모두 맛있게 먹었습니다. 식사를 마치면 가게 주소가 적힌 엽서를 한 장 주시는데, 여행을 마치고 가게로 엽서를 보낼 수 있는 이 가게만의 특별한 점이었습니다. 벽면에 이렇게 세계 각지에서 도착한 엽서가 가득 붙어있었던 게 인상깊었습니다.

Wir waren im März 2019 dort und es war großartig. Der Service war sehr liebenswert, das Essen war superlecker, der empfohlene Wein auch. Zu jedem Gericht, zu dem wir Fragen hatten, wurde uns umfangreich erklärt, um was es sich handelt. Es ist neun Monate her und trotzdem denke ich noch an das leckere Essen!
Auf unsere Bitte wurde uns, als wir gehen wollten, ein Taxi bestellt.
Falls ich noch einmal in Porto bin, würde ich auf jeden Fall wieder dort hin gehen! ♥

To start with, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful - they made you feel like guests in their home. The food was outstanding, fresh, homey, like their mothers must have made on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
The owners and waiters were *earnest*. They wanted to explain the food - from Northeastern Portugal.
Wine and port selections were spot-on
Even on a relatively quiet night in October, they were turning people away at the door of this tiny restaurant. Reservations are a must.

Consigliatissimo. Ogni piatto è una tapas. Per 2 persone che mangiano abbastanza sono bastati 4 piatti + pane (all'olio e alle olive). Tutto veramente buono e non eccessivamente elaborato. Conto: 4 piatti + pane (che vale come piatto) + 2 calici di rosso + 1l e 1/2 di acqua + 2 dolci (torta di castagne e torta di zucca fatti in casa, buonissime!!!) = 40€. Personale attentissimo, spiegano molto bene come funziona e come sono composti i piatti.

Overall the experience was positive, it faces the Douro River and it is close to Ponte Luis which make it very Central but not very close to the crowded area. The food comes in tapas, small (not very small, which is good) portion perfect to share! We tried the typical Portuguese food, from the sausage to the sardines. The salad with sardines was our favorite! I suggest this place for tourists who are in the area and want to have a quick lunch without spend too much. The service was also very good. Only negative side is the tables outside, too close to the street and to the cars passing by.

Having read previous reviews we knew we wouldn't be let down but despite that the food was sublime. The staff were so caring and had no concerns about my zero Portuguese. Their knowledge of not only every dish but every ingredient of every dish was impressive. The dishes served introduced flavour combinations unknown to us. The overall experience was absolutely first class at economy prices. Don't ask just go there.

A Bolina is wonderfully located just a short walk away from the hustle and bustle of tourists and overlooking the river. They serve amazing selection of cured meats and cheeses, breads, olives and wine. Very friendly waiter who speaks excellent English. We are going back again for 2nd visit as we enjoyed it so much.

Alles Zutaten sind aus lokaler Produktion. Der Service ist hochgradig freundlich und äßerst aufmerksam. Die Lage ist nicht super zentral, man bekommt aber noch immer den blick aufs Wasser und die Brücke von Herrn Eifel. Zu guter letzt noch das preisliche. Bei 35 € inklusive getränke und extra Brot für zwei personen kann nun gar nichts gesagt werden.

Locale rustico e originale, molto carino. Hanno una parete di cartoline (lasciate da loro stessi con il conto) inviate dai clienti stranieri una volta ritornati a casa. Personale gentile e simpatico, in grado di comunicare in inglese, francese, spagnolo e perfino un po' in italiano. Cibo ottimo e presentazione curata. C'è scelta anche per i vegetariani! A due passi dal ponte Luis I ! Assolutamente consigliato!

Super lieu typique et peu touristique !
Prix très raisonnables et une qualité vraiment au top. Nous avons pris les tapas typiques, une planche mixte ( avec de la charcuterie et du fromage local) et des desserts maison très bons. De plus l’endroit est mignon et les serveurs adorables, ils expliquent les plats avec détail et vous mettent très à l’aise. Je recommande a 100%!

We booked through TheFork for 1pm and we arrived at 12:58. We got told to come back later because they only opened at 1pm. By the end of the conversation, it was 1pm already. We left, cancelled on the app and went to the restaurant next door where we enjoyed nice fresh food on the bbq.

À Bolina is hands down the best and not only Portuguese restaurant we got to know during our travels through Portugal. Of course, there are probably "better" ones but most certainly not within this category – which also means price range – and certainly there are no better waiters, period. We have been there two times and although there might be people who endure more wine which, to be honest, results in being better guests, Pedro and his colleagues were warm and welcoming, knowledgable when it comes to food, wine and port and first and foremost you do not get the ubiquitous impression that it is merely the want of economic success that powers this wonderful small restaurant a couple hundred meters away from the touristy hotspots of Porto.
We had a variety of tapas, red wine that was better than it price suggested and both the 10- and 20-years-old Tawny by Quinta de Santa de Eufémia, one of the smaller and perhaps underrated producers of the Douro valley. Combined with tasteful music that one would expect mostly from larger and more expensive restaurants it became a place we will certainly return to one day. Not just for what is written here but also to give the tip I wasn‘t able to leave at the second evening. The postcards on the walls by many, many grateful guests from all countries serve as a well-earned proof of nearly global appreciation.

We ate here twice during our visit to Porto.
The menu is fairly limited but that doesn't take away from the quality of the mainly locally sourced food. The staff are superb, informative and friendly. The food is delicious and the deserts are breathtaking.
The wines were wonderful and the Port selection delicious. Great value too, what more could you wish for.

Si vous êtes à la recherche d'un resto vers 14h00 sur Ribeira un bon conseil. Laissez les enseignes à touristes et passez sous le pont Eiffel, longez le quai et découvrez la petite terrasse (ou l'intérieur) de A Bolina.
Le patron est super sympa, passionné par ses produits, parle un français élégant. et vous conseillera fort justement en vins. Nous n'avons rien choisi et avons juste donnez notre budget repas. Tout était parfait pour un prix modique.
Une très bonne adresse. C'est ouvert tout le temps allez y.

Very good Portuguese tapas, hip music, a full bar with a good selection of beers, wines and about 50 kinds of Gins, including Portuguese; who would have thunk! The staff is amazing, helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable about Porto. After just one visit, you will have a friend in Porto. I highly recommend stopping by for drinks, a heavy snack, or light dinner. My biggest disappointment in visiting Porto was when I learned they were closed on Tuesdays, my last full day in Porto.

Sinceramente es un restaurante con encanto gracias a las vistas que tiene sobre el puente de Luis I, cenamos en la terraza aunque hiciera un poquito de aire porque merece la pena (además te proporcionan mantas); el interior del local tb es muy bonito y con música de ambiente. En cuanto a la comida probamos Alheiras, tosta de aceitunas negras, ensalada de tomate, tabla de embutidos y un buen vino blanco portugués, todo de una excelente calidad.Destacar la profesionalidad de Pedro, ya que nos recomendó todo y acertó. We booked an outside table at this restaurant because we wanted to enjoy the view on Dom Luis I bridge but the weather was very cold :) the owner was so nice to make us sit inside as soon as a table got available. This is a tapas bar, so you can try different small plates of traditional portuguese food from the Douro valley. The food was really good, the owner was very kind and thorough in explaining the origin of the different dishes. In my opinion a must if you have dinner in Porto.

Lieu très agréable, calme et charmant avec vue sur le Douro. Les serveurs sont très gentils et parlent français. Nous sommes tombés sous le charme de ce bar à tapas portugais dans la Ribeira, pas du tout touristique. Les prix sont très abordables (5€ mojito, 1€50 les 25 cL de super bocks et bouteille de vin vert à partir de 13€)

Very romantic setting do in the Douro valley, much quieter than the other side of the bridge where there are volume restaurants and crowds. Excellent wine list and help in choosing from what is an apparently short and simple tapas menu. However the ingredients quality and execution meant that everything was a treat.

Buen lugar para cenar a base de tapas no es nada caro. Poca variedad y muchisima variedad en alcohol, tienen una pagina de la carta dedicada a comida otra media a postres y unas 5 a bebidas.

Einfach spitze. Leckere Sangria. Tolles Getränkeangebot. Sandwiches und Vorspeisenplatte unbedingt probieren! Der Blick am Abend auf die Brücke ist einzigartig.

Hervorragende Tapas, fairer Preis, freundliche Mitarbeiter. Am besten einfach eine Auswahl zusammenstellen lassen. Eher nicht für Gruppen geeignet.

Very nice bar! Good food and friendly staff. We felt very welcomed! We just arrived at Porto and wanted to have something to eat and then we found this cute bar nearly. The service was great! They did care about how you feel and whether you like the food or not. We received post card as a little gift. When we was about to leave, everyone said goodbye to us even the cute guy sitting outside!
We didn't spend much time on Porto but if we had we will definitely go there again. Highly recommend!

Attente beaucoup trop longue! Plus d'1h30 pour avoir une planche de charcuterie! Ne mérite pas sa note actuelle. Grosse déception pour nous qui nous sommes fiés à l avis actuel.

Very good sangria and cold draft superbock. The cheese and cured meat board is highly recommended! Will have to visit again when in Porto!

This place shows that it is possible for a small budget you can have an amazing evening!

Ótimo atendimento, bom vinhos e bons petiscos. Foi oferecido um mix já que não conhecíamos muita coisa, porém cobrado o preço cheio de todos os petiscos e não uma amostra diversas... se soubesse que seria dessa forma não escolheria algumas das opções servidas.

야외 좌석에서 보이는 야경이 환상적입니다. 토마토 샐러드와 타파스 1인 메뉴, 포트와인 추천받아서 주문했는데 맛과 가격 모두 좋았습니다. 직원분들도 대부분 영어로 소통 가능하고 친절했어요!

Great experience at A Bolina. The wines were good, but most of all, we enjoyed the meat and the cheeses... THe room is also very pleasant, because the place is not in the touristic crowds, although on the border of the Douro.

Fantastic tapas/wine bar. Passionate about their food and drinks and happy to explain the origin of their locally sourced produce. Carefully prepared and beautifully presented food with a great selection of tapas including legumes, sardines and the usual cured meats, cheese, olives etc. Also a fantastic selection of Portuguese gins on their extensive drinks list. J'ai été littéralement conquis par tout le personnel de ce restaurant. Je le conseil à tous ceux qui veulent se payer un souper qui coûterait les yeux de la tête à Montréal ou New York pour une bouchée de pain au portugal(porto). Le propriétaire est fantastique.

When my wife and her friend asked me to "Go get topless" of course I followed them into À Bolina. It wasn't until I looked at the menu that I realized they meant "tapas". Thing is, after the experience there I'm not even mad about it. I should have known better, anyway.
In fact, I forgot all about my wishful thinking and let the staff guide us through the menu. Every plate was executed perfectly - and the menu provided access to the best cured-meats and cheeses northern Portugal has to offer. The wine suggestion paired perfectly, the after-dinner drinks and desserts were perfect.
Do yourself the favor of scheduling a reservation at À Bolina in advance of your trip to Porto. You will be very happy you did.

Ideal. Real. Educational. The perfect first night in the city - if you visit Porto and do not "tack" :) here you have missed out! Incredible food and wine with history. For real.

Best service ever. Great people. Super friendly and the food is great. I suggest the alheira. Best I had. The wines are not many but the option are excellent for the price they go for. Cosy in the winter but with the river front in the summer will be great too. Good selection of whiskey for those who like it and I am sure it might improve in the future.

A beautiful place that accentuates it's historical architecture, rather than plasters over it. Beautifully located right on the river, but just off the heavily beaten path of the Ribiera. The food was nice, the drinks inventive, and the service was excellent... What you get from a place operated by its owners!
