Beautiful setting among vines, lovely hosts- Petra and Setha, can buy their vinho cooperatives vinho verde which is very good. The best views from a campsite, hard to beat. Deserved 5 star!

Fantastische plek waar je onder andere een yurt kan huren en plek is voor een aantal tentjes en een kleine camper (maatje Volkswagen bus) met een grotere camper niet mogelijk. Midden in een wijngaard, en leuke mensen.

Lovely little campsite between the vineyards owned by a very welcoming dutch couple. Good clean sanitary, good price, and lovely views from the public sitting areas where you can cook your own meals, or just hang back and relax in the lounge chairs. A definite recommend.

Great camping ground but it needs to be your taste. Camping here means you will be on your own plot amongst the vines and nature. Petra was very welcoming and showed us around the camp ground and offered us a refreshment upon arrival. The views are spectacular from your pitch and the whole place has a lovely community atmosphere. The toilets have good hot water showers. The bathrooms are clean and well kept. The only downsides were the road into the campsite which is very much a dirt rocky track, but our little Mercedes b class handled it. The drive way down to the pitches is also not for the less than confident driver. It is very steep.

May 2019: Awesome experience. I stayed there three nights with my tent and had a wonderful time. The exceptional location and the overall friendly and helpful owners from the Netherlands have made my stay unforgettable, truly a place I'd like to visit again in future.
Try the Vino Verde they sell from their own vine yard!

We have spent a month camping in Portugal and this has been one of our special discoveries. In addition to the camping site and facilities, we enjoyed the additional touches: à hamac on our site, the welcoming glass of wine, à taste of excellent porto, the lovely hiking trail organized and the backdrop of the douro region. Very much worth a stay.

Deze camping is een pracht! Aanrader eerste klasse! Fenomenaal zicht, heerlijke huiswijnen en super gastvrij met een zeer relaxe sfeer. Een mooie groene omgeving met leuke activiteiten. In de zomer van 2017 hebben wij hier heerlijk gekampeerd. Het plan was om 2 nachten te blijven, het werden er 4. Heerlijk plekje in een hele mooie omgeving met leuke mensen. Petra en Setah zijn onwijs vriendelijk en hele goede gastheren.
Als we weer die kant op gaan, dan komt deze camping weer zeker op de planning. En de Vihno Verde smaakt nergens beter dan tussen die wijngaarden.

Een unieke, sfeervolle camping! De setting is prachtig, en de zelfgemaakte tuinmeubels en buitenkeuken kloppen helemaal in het plaatje. Petra en Setha ontvangen je warm, en geven wandeltips over de omgeving. Ongekende ruimte en privacy in prachtige natuur.

Had a great time camping here. The location is beautiful, our tents were set up on a vineyard terrace with great views of the Douro valley and town below. There are a lot of amenities such as a kitchen, grill, refrigerator stocked with beverages, and trees with fruits like figs. Our hosts were also incredibly welcoming and helpful in suggesting activities around the area. Will definitely be coming back!

One of the best camping sites we‘ve ever been. Lovely place in a wonderful peaceful location with caring helpful people (even brought us to the mechanic to fix our car instead of doing their shoping). We felt immediately at home, the place has everything we know from our backpacking trips in good hostels (nice common places, a fridge full with their own delicious wine and beer, a hairdryer in the bathroom, a hammock in front of our camper ...). Furthermore you get fresh bread in the mornings and a lot of helpful advices (recommendations of nice restaurants and trips in the region) - all these little things make the difference to many anonymous places we‘ve already seen. Absolutely recommended, thanks again to our nice hosts, we wish the best for the future and hope to come back one day!

We hebben hier drie nachten met ons camper(tje) gestaan. Wij hadden de mazzel dat wij aankwamen op de dag dat de boer van het aangelegen terrein zijn druiven had geoogst, waardoor wij door Petra werden uitgenodigd om de volgende ochtend druiven te stampen. Een erg leuke ervaring!
Het is een fijne, kleinschalige camping met schone faciliteiten en er is heerlijke Vinho Verde uit de regio te verkrijgen. Boven aan de camping is een gemeenschappelijke ruimte gecreëerd om met andere campinggasten een drankje te nuttigen en te genieten van het uitzicht.
Mocht je er nog even op uit willen dan kan je een mooie wandeling maken richting watervallen en lagoons en is er beneden in het dorp een leuk lokaal restaurant waar je voor een appel en een ei heerlijk kan dineren.
Al met al dus een dikke aanrader!! :) Bedankt Petra & Setha voor de gastvrijheid!

Toller Campingplatz mit unglaublich schöner Aussicht! Wir hatten zwei wundervolle Tage. Die Besitzer sind sehr freundlich und haben uns tolle Tipps gegeben. Der Campingplatz verfügt über viele hübsche Ecken zum Sitzen und hat sogar eine Outdoor-Küche mit allem was man zum Kochen braucht. Rundum gut!

Fijne camping tussen de wijnranken met prachtig uitzicht! Wii hebben hier meerdere nachten verbleven met onze camper. De eigenaren zijn onwijs gastvrij en helpen je graag op weg in de regio. Het idyllische zwembadje in een nis geeft heerlijke verkoeling. Echte aanrader!

Rustig gelegen camping met prachtig uitzicht over de Douro vallei. Wij verbleven 3 nachten in een yurt. Sfeer is relaxed en er is een buitenkeuken met al het nodige materiaal. Wel veel hoogteverschillen te overbruggen dus niet zo geschikt voor mensen die minder goed te been zijn.

Zeer charmante kleinschalige camping middenin het Douro gebied. Op deze Quinta begeef je je tussen de wijnranken van Petra & Setha, wiens uitstekende Vinho Verde je kunt drinken terwijl je wegdroomt bij het unieke, wonderschone uitzicht. Uitstekende faciliteiten, fijn gezelschap. Een pareltje.

An incredible little campsite tucked up in the duoro valley. Honestly one of the best we've stayed in. Book ahead as there aren't many pitches. Petra and Setha and such warm and kind hosts with great ideas for places to visit- nothing that was recommended by them wasn't great. We had a lovely Indonesian dinner expertly cooked by Setha on our last night with fellow campers which ended our 4 night stay on a real high. The bathrooms are impeccable, fresh bread every morning and wonderful vinho verde from the vineyard in the fridge. Perfect for a couple wanting a quiet, authentic campsite with great amenities. De uitbaters Petra en Setha zijn ongelooflijk gastvrij en heel erg vriendelijk. Na 1 telefoontje waren we meer dan welkom om er de volgende dag al ons tentje te gaan opzetten. Het is er enorm mooi, gezellig en rustgevend! Op een avond hadden ze voor de gasten erg lekker indonesisch gekookt. De sfeer was zo fijn. Ze geven je het gevoel dat je je meteen thuis kan voelen. Toplocatie! Wij gaan zeker terug!

Fantastische plek om heerlijk te relaxen. Kamperen tussen de wijnranken. Hartelijke ontvangst en een familiale atmosfeer. Kleinschalig en dus erg rustig. Mooi uitzicht. Vele verborgen plekjes om uit te rusten of je kan de gezelligheid van de gemeenschappelijke delen opzoeken. Netjes onderhouden sanitair. Wij hadden een TOPTIJD!!

Enkele weken geleden deze camping bezocht op doorreis met onze camper van 5 meter
Wat een mooie camping en vooral de ligging

En zeker 's avonds met al de lichtjes is het betoverend
De camping is schoon en we werden warm welkom geheten door Petra en Setha Helaas zijn we maar 1 nacht gebleven maar we komen zeker een keer terug.

This little camping is just perfect. The hosts a very welcoming and they made this little vineyard in to a beautiful campsite. Its small (4 tent spots) so i would recommend to make a reservation.

This place is amazing. The camping spots are spread over the vineyard with an amazing view. The hosts give great advice about activities and places you have to see. Fresh bread in the morning and cold beers and wine (from their own vineyard) in the fridge. You can take your own tent or rent one of the big tents available on the camping. It's a small camping, so you might be unlucky of you don't reserve.

This is a remarkable campsite among the vineyards. Bathrooms are clean. There are only a few pitches so booking is essential. You can order breakfast or bread. It is on the more expensive side of the camping spectrum, but also quite unique.

we stayed here for two nights, the hosts were lovely and very helpful when giving us advice about what to do in the local area- great facilities, lovely view, quiet, peaceful and an overall fantastic experience. Highly recommended

We arrived on the day they were harvesting the grapes and were able to try some. Probably the best grapes I ever had. There’s an outside kitchen and a few benches where you have an amazing view over the valley. The hosts were really nice and they made this map with all sorts of things you can do in the area. They even added some hikes that they mapped out.
Be careful when parking your car, it’s quite steep and depending on where you park, corners can be quite difficult to take

We had a wonderful couple of days at this campsite, set beautifully in private pitches on a vineyard. Seta and Petra were lovely hosts, they gave us lots of tips about where to go and good walks, they advised us on a restaurant close by which was the best food we have had on our trip so far! They produce green wine which we could sample and ended up coming away with a case it was so delicious, you can also order bread for the morning. The campsite was clean and had good facilities, we stayed in a campervan, there are only a few pitches so booking is advisable. In we found ourselves in this area again we would definitely come back.

We came for 1 night and ended up staying for 3. We felt very welcome, the bathrooms are very clean, the campsite is quiet and has a cool open air kitchen. The owners petra and seta make you feel like at home! Loved it!

Myself and my partner had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful campsite for two nights. It is without doubt one of the nicest places we’ve camped - beautiful views of the valley, tasty vinho verde from the campsite vineyard, and incredibly welcoming hosts. Great place, hard to beat. Not only is the location, setup and infrastructure top notch, the owners are simply the most friendly and genuine people you could meet. Indeed, no swimming pool, restaurant or shop but a lovely small campsite amongst the vines and fruit trees. At the risk of being misunderstood, I particularly appreciated the fact that no nationality dominates, as has been the case in other places we stayed. Always best to have a healthy diverse mix of people, ages, etc. This was a particular plus during the once a week 'Indonesian evening', one of the highlights of our stay. Bit like the tower of Babel without the nasty end with all getting on, lots of stories exchanged and catering to match. Definitely worth the detour, even if you only intended to hang out in Porto.

Tijdens onze rondreis door noord-Portugal hebben we twee nachten bij Petra en Sethi (sorry als ik het niet goed schrijf ) op de camping verbleven. Wat een heerlijk plekkie. Ontzettend aardige en behulpzame camping eigenaren (ook voor een lege auto accu stonden ze gelijk klaar). De eerste dag zijn we in slaap gevallen op de ligstoelen tussen de druiven en zijn daarna op aanraden van Petra en Sethi gaan eten bij Tasca do Zequinha. Dit was geweldig. Daarnaast hebben we de Douro verkend, ontzettend mooie omgeving. We hadden hier zo nog veel langer kunnen blijven. Echt een aanrader!

Einer der schönsten u herzlichsten Campin/Glämpingplätze die ich kenne. Petra u Seta sind sehr gute Gastgeber. Der Platz im Weinberg ist Wundervoll gelegen. Die Waschgelegenheiten sind sehr sauber u geräumig. Die Ruhe dort ist einzigartig u unbezahlbar. Der Ausblick immer wieder fastzinierend in Richtung Duoro. Von Herzen empfehlenswert!!!!!❤

A fabulous, quirky and unique site. A hidden gem amongst the vines. A very warm welcome from owners Petra and Setha, who were so friendly. My partner and I had not pre-booked so we're very lucky to get onto the site. Nothing was too much for this accommodating couple, even down to our morning delivery of freshly baked rolls from the local baker. A wonderful experience. Thank you

Wat een heerlijke plek! Rustig, grote plek voor ons tentje en prachtig uitzicht! Ze hebben een gemeenschappelijke area met keuken waar je gebruik van kan maken. De gastheer en vrouw zijn heel lief en betrokken, ze organiseren af en toe 'family-diners' en ze voorzien je tussendoor van lekker fruit uit eigen tuin:).

The place to be ! Quitté hier après trois jours magnifiques dans un cadre reposant au milieu des montagnes et des vignes, dans un décor de carte postale idyllique, avec des hôtes d'une grande gentillesse et très accueillants. Une terrasse où se poser pour manger et rencontrer d'autres campeurs si on le souhaite, un endroit pour cuisiner...tout est aux petits soins pour que votre séjour se passe à merveille. De beaux lieux a découvrir autour, à quelques kilomètres. Cette belle quinta, Petra et Setha laissent un souvenir impérissable !

Super fijne camping met ontzettend lieve gastheer en gastvrouw. We hadden autopech op de dag van vertrek en daarbij hebben ze ons goed geholpen, zodat we weer op weg konden. Daarnaast natuurlijk genoten van de mooie uitzichten, de natuur en de mooie plek. Mis deze Quinta niet als je naar de Douro gaat!

Es ist nicht einfach zu finden und nicht empfehleswert. Ganz schlecht zu Fahrt und mit Wohnmobilen nicht möglich zu wenden.

We loved staying here!
The location is incredibly beautiful and the hosts are friendly and helpful.
There are many walks from this campsite including one to a nearby waterfall where you can swim. The toilets and showers are perfectly clean and work well. There is also a communal cooking area with utensils. You can arrange a lift with Seth to the nearest train station where you can take a beautiful train ride to go wine tasting.
Their capacity is 30 people including children so reserve before you go!

Heerlijk plekje! Mooie ligging tussen de druiven met prachtige vergezichten. De camping is van alle gemakken voorzien. Schoon sanitair en een buitenkeuken. Het badje voor verkoeling is ook een pluspunt. Verder overal leuke plekjes om te zitten en te genieten van de rust en het uitzicht.

Lovely campsite in a vineyard. There are quite few spots scattered throughout the sure, so it's never crowded and your have enough space to yourselves. You're truly camping in a vineyard!
The owners are very nice and welcomed us warmly. We where shown around the campsite on arrival and they gave us a lot of hints around the nearest town and other campsites and things to do in Portugal. They sent us to a very cool little restaurants in town.
Sanitaries are fine enough. There's a common kitchen, a tiny pool to cool off and some deck chairs to lounge around. All in all, we felt very welcome and enjoyed our stay.
It's not very well suited for large motorhomes. Perfectly fine for cars and vans, but probably nothing larger.

Geweldige camping op een prachtige locatie. Mooie privé gelegen plekken, maar zat mogelijkheden op de gezelligheid op te zoeken. De gastvrijheid van Zeta en Petra maken het compleet. Ben je in de buurt, zeker langs gaan. Ben je niet in de buurt, ook lekker langs gaan.

Fantastische camping met een lekkere plek tussen de wijngaarden voor jezelf. Uitzicht over de gehele vallei. Erg schone douches en faciliteiten. En een heel gastvrij ontvangst met één avond zelfs een gezellig etentje. Kon me geen mooiere plek voorstellen!

Een prachtige, idyllische plek om te verblijven. Hartelijke ontvangst, betrokkenheid en humor waardoor de camping vanaf het eerste moment als een thuis voelt. Overal op de camping fruitbomen waarvan geplukt mag worden. Niks idyllischer om in een hangmat van de zon en het uitzicht te genieten, terwijl je een verse vijg eet.

Beste camping die ik ooit heb bezocht. Op deze camping kampeer je tussen de wijngaarden. Het heeft een fantastisch uitzicht over het bergdal. De camping eigenaren zijn van oorsprong Nederlanders die zijn geëmigreerd naar Portugal. Alleen geschikt voor gezellige mensen.

Dit is echt een hele mooie plek, deze mini camping ligt ten midden van een wijngaard en kan je bereiken door een zandweg. Je kijkt uit over het dorpje, waar je een supermarkt en andere voorzieningen hebt. Bij aankomst ontvangen door Petra(Nederlands), erg behulpzaam en kon al onze vragen beantwoorden. Er is een map met wandelroutes en beschrijvingen van omliggende dorpjes. Sanitair erg schoon. Er zijn leuke plekjes op het terrein gecreëerd waar je lekker kunt zitten, er is een gezamenlijke buitenkeuken die je mag gebruiken, je mag kruiden plukken en er is een leeshoek waar je Nederlandse boeken kunt lezen. Ook is er een afkoelbadje waar je kunt pootje baden. Al met al een super ervaring! Prima te bezoeken met tent of kleine camper, niet geschikt voor grote voertuigen gezien de plekjes en de toegangsweg er naar toe.

Dit was voor ons een hele bijzondere ervaring! Een heerlijke plek om lekker tot rust te komen. Op deze mini camping (ongeveer 4 plaatsen) is het heerlijk vertoeven. Je staat letterlijk midden in de wijngaard. Overal zijn leuke zitjes en schaduwrijke plekjes gecreëerd om van het uitzicht over het dal te kunnen genieten. Op warme dagen kan verkoeling worden gezocht in het afkoel badje. Dit is een ondiep bandje waar je lekker kunt pootjebaden. Er is de mogelijkheid om in de ochtend verse broodjes te bestellen. De Nederlandse gastheer en gastvrouw van deze camping zijn bijzonder aardig en behulpzaam. We voelden ons meer dan welkom en zullen deze camping dan ook warm aanbevelen! In de omgeving is meer dan genoeg te ontdekken en gelukkig nog niet overspoeld door toeristen.
P.S. niet echt geschikt voor grote kampeer voertuigen, dit in verband met de afgelegen ligging van de camping en de steile smalle wegen. Een bescheiden camper moet geen probleem zijn, maar je caravan zou ik thuis laten.

Un super accueil, un camping exceptionnel, un cadre magnifique... On s'y sent comme à la maison. Ma mère a même eu le droit à un gâteaux surprise pour son anniversaire. Ne pas hésiter à prendre le petit déjeuner sur place.

This camping by itself is worth visiting the Douro for. A unique stay in the middle of their own vineyards. Sipping on some great vinho verde (which they make themselves) looking over a breathtaking view over Mesao Frio and the vineyard covered hills. The hosts are warm and welcoming and create an atmosphere where everybody feels at home. Highly recommended!

Onze ervaringen in een notendop: mooie rustige omgeving, gastvrije Nederlandse beheerders, keurig schone toiletten en douches, mooie kampeerplaats gehad met veel privacy, en mogelijkheid voor bestellen van elke dag verse broodjes. We hebben er goede herinneringen aan. Mei 2017.

Nous avons campé à cet endroit avec notre caravane. Bien que ce n'était pas un site fait pour cela, les sympathiques hôtes nous ont bien accueillis et nous ont fait faire la visite de leur magnifiques jardins. Nous étions les seuls sur le site car hors saison. Superbe vue et tranquillité en prime.

Onder het open dak van de Yurt slaap je heerlijk onder de sterren, je ontwaakt in de wijngaard en geniet van prachtige uitzichten. De gastvrijheid van Petra en Setha maken je vakantie compleet.
Een echte aanrader.

Incredible views and lovely people, would definitely recommend to anyone and everyone! The price is slightly higher than we have paid for other campsites but it's almost worth it just for the view!

A piece of paradise. Were there with a small camper and would go back in an instance. Next time we might opt for a yurt though.

Thanks for two great and very pleasant nights at your camp ground. We are the ones with the motorbikes Marten Duit was mentioning. We had some issues with my bike and Setha brought us to the right spot to fix it.

Er zijn van die onontdekte plekjes waar zelfs Drie op Reis nog niet is geweest, dit is er één van. Op een heuvel met ver uitzicht, tussen de wijnranken, alleen te bereiken via een zandpad, liggen een beperkt aantal kampeerplekken in een prachtig aangelegde en onderhouden 'camping'. Petra en Setha zijn geweldige gastdame en -heer en zijn bereid je overal mee te helpen.
*Er kwamen een Duitse vader en zoon met motorpech, waarop Setha mee geweest is naar de garage om alles te regelen.*
Een geweldige plek waar je zeker een keer geweest moet zijn.

There are some undiscovered places even the best travel programs haven't been. On hills with extraordinary views, between the vineyards, only accessible via a sand road, lie only a few camping pitches on a beautifully established and maintained 'campsite'. Petra and Setha are great hosts and willing to help you out any way they can.
*A German father and son arrived and one of their bikes seemed broken. Setha drove with them to a garage and sorted everything out.*
It's an amazing spot you shouldn't miss out on.

A very beatiful place to stay with a tent. Ideal for backpackers/hikers, though a little bit distant from public transport. The campsite is very large, clean and idyllic with only about four camp places, so reservation is recommended.
