We were there just for one night so the guys from there were very nice and kind because we had to leave really early so we didn’t get to take the breakfast with everyone so they prepare something for us to take away ❤️ . Very good located close to the old city .

We started off on the wrong foot for when we arrived there was no one there. We had to wait for 30 minutes in the rain until one of the guests heard us knocking and opened up for us. However, from the moment we recieved our room we realized how amazing this place is! It is clean, the rooms are spacious, there is hitting and it is simply soothing and lovely. Breakfast on the terrace was really tasty and nicely served. We had an absolutely woNderful stay. Wish we could stay more than one night! I really recommend you would let them know your time of arrival:)

Cosy small hostel located just outside the old city and in easy distance to the rest of the city. We were able to check in earlier than expected and were offered all the help we could dream of for organizing trips around Faro. The room was nice and tidy with its own window to the a small courtyard. Only problem would have been the stairs just outside the window but had no problems with it. Breakfast was served on the roof terrace with a nice view over the rooftops and the service was excellent!

Très bien situé dans Faro, personnel sympa et petit déjeuner correct preparé par le chef ! Les chambres sont petites et sans superflue mais propre. Toit terrasse ensoleillé agréable.

This delightful B&B is located just outside the walls of the old town. Our hosts were very accommodating - gave us information on the town as soon as we arrived and allowed us to leave our bags there for the day and come back inside to wait on their lovely terrace for our taxi. Breakfast was delicious!

So close to local shopping and restaurants. Charmingly appointed. Included breakfast was wonderful. Extremely reasonably priced to top it off!

This place was a great find, we loved our stay. The owners were lovely and welcoming. The room was spacious and quiet. It says there is continental breakfast included with cereal, fruit and coffee but were surprised to find the staff were there making fresh juices and cooking a different hot item for us each morning such as Portuguese-style cinnamon toast.

The place was in a nice quiet location next to the old town and was wonderfully presented. The roof top terrace cum kitchen cum living room was great. A lovely little place all round.

I would highly recommend Sunlight house! My room was cozy, and the bathrooms were very clean. The staff was super kind and generous and allowed me to check in early, as well as store my luggage there until my flight on my last day in Faro.

Excellent B&B, very friendly owners. Lovely big rooms which were very clean. Great breakfast selection and on one day during our stay we were going out early and were left a packed breakfast so we could take it away with us. Would definitely return to stay again.

Definitely recommend staying here if you're on a budget in Faro! By far the best place I stayed in while travelling across Portugal. Very clean throughout, with charming interiors. The room was very comfortable with a spacious bathroom. The breakfast was great and the terrace is beautiful, great place to relax. The staff were absolutely lovely and extremely helpful, recommending where to go, printing tickets and so on. The location is great too, very close to old town which you can walk through to get to the town centre. Less than 10 minutes away from all types of amenities, fast food, restaurants, bars & clubs, convenience stores and launderettes. Really enjoyed my stay and will be back!

Vraiment au-delà de mes attentes à tous points de vue, pour le prix demandé. Déjeuners exceptionnels et personnel des plus accueillant. Propreté des lieux exemplaire. Très bien situé à 5 minutes de marche du centre de Faro et 2 minutes de la Vieille Ville.

Amazing. Our room was comfortable and the location is excellent, just one block from the old city and free parking is available. Phillips and Marius were delightful hosts. Phillips met us on arrival. There is a huge rooftop room and outdoor deck where you can relax, sip wine and enjoy the stars. The breakfast is huge and amazing. One of the best air b&b ever!

Lieu très bien situé dans le vieux Faron et tout près des principaux points d’attraction et de services. A 15 minutes de l’aéroport et stationnement public payant à un jet de pierre de l’établissement. Service de l’hôte d’une qualité exceptionnelle ! Celui-ci a eu l’immense gentillesse de me préparer un petit déjeuner la veille de mon départ pour l’aéroport puisque je devais quitter très tôt. J’y retournerais sans aucune hésitation !

Small guest house with easy parking close by. Owners have invested and continue to in making this guest experience something to remember. From the really pleasent welcome to ensuring your breakfast is accomadated to your health needs I'm gluten free. No tv or kettle in the room BUT a lounge dining area with roof patio available to guests with all the items you need. Great will be back

Sehr kleines warmes Zimmer mit Gemeinschaftsbad. Preis war für die Leistung zu teuer. Konnten das Fenster leider nachts auch nicht offen lassen da direkt vorm Fenster die zugängliche Treppe zur Dachterrasse ist. Etwas in die Jahre gekommen die Bäder. Alles sehr sauber und nettes Personal! Zentral gelegen.

We loved staying at Sunlight House! It’s in a great location right next to the old town and a close (~10-15min) walk to the bus and train station. The breakfast is more than enough and they even packed us a breakfast for our early morning flight. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend to our friends and family!

Cool rooftop terrace, good location and nice people. However, room was not as good as expected (bad mattress, bit random furniture, loose shower handle). Though maybe this critique only applies to our room on the ground floor. All in all decent hostel.

We stayed at Sunlight House just for one night. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast is served in a nice terace, so you start your day in a great mood.

Super friendly staff, well equipped room and kitchen, nice living room and terrace. In general a very good place to stay and feel at home, even for more than a few nights. We did a roadtrip through the Algarve and Lissabon, and this was by far the best place out of all our stays.

Wunderschönes Familiär geführtes B&B mit liebe zum Detail. Man fühlt sich sofort wohl und das Frühstück auf der Dachterasse lässt den Tag wunderbar beginne :) sehr zu empfehlen, auch die tollen Reisetipps waren Goldwert:)

Das Hotel liegt super zentral, nicht weit vom Meer, dem Zentrum entfernt und direkt an kostenlosen Parkplätzen. Die Jungs sind sehr freundlich. Die Zimmer sehr sauber und die Dachterrasse ist ein Traum. Das Frühstück ist klein aber ausreichend. Jederzeit wieder! ;)

Das Haus ist top gelegen, sehr sauber und der Inhaber sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Hatte immer ein paar gute Tipps für uns, was Sehenswürdigkeiten und Restaurants anging. Kann man ohne Bedenken weiter empfehlen.

Very nice place to stay in Faro. The rooms are comfortable, staff is very friendly and helpful. Location is perfect, specially if you are planning to visit the beaches. The staff is really fast to answer your requests per Email, and they speak fluent English. They even gave us really good hints about where to get good local food and where to go in Faro. Regarding the room, the bed was comfortable and although there was no AC the room was not warm. A fan was enough. The bad is small and the shower is somewhat small, but it is OK. It's not a deal breaker. The breakfast is by far one of the best ones we got in an hostel in Portugal. We were on a 3 week trip across Portugal from north to south, and Sunlight House was the only accommodation (which was not an hotel) that really nailed it with the breakfast: - Nice sunny terrace - Fresh made, good coffee (which is REALLY hard to find in Portugal) - Fresh pressed orange juice - Boiled eggs, fruits, bread, cereals, etc... During our stay in Portugal we noticed that the idea of tourism is somewhat new to the Portuguese. But I have to say that the guys at Sunlight House are a exception to the rule and made our short stay in Faro really pleasant. We recommend it and would love to stay there again. The only downside: we regret having planned only one night in Faro!

Das Hotel ist klein aber fein, hat alles, was man braucht und bietet ein schönes Frühstück auf der Dachterrasse. Die Mitarbeiter sind äußerst nett und und hilfsbereit und sauber war es auch.

The staff are very nice and helpful. I had an en suite room that was quite nice; clean and comfortable. Note that there seem to be other rooms that are not en suite. The breakfast room was very cramped and I gave up on trying to eat breakfast as a family filled the space and the table was pretty messy. There is a small kitchen that can be used, although it is so tiny and cramped that it probably would only be good for making light meals like sandwiches. There was a tea pot in the room. No tv which was fine by me but might be an issue for some people.This was the most expensive place I stayed at in Portugal (out of 5) and probably the least comfy with the worst breakfast. im not sure why it was so expensive relative to other hotels and B&Bs.This is an okay B&B with a hostel-ish feel. Clean with nice staff but the tiny, cramped breakfast room is something of a problemI had to say whether I would recommend to a friend or not; I put yes but it would depend on the friend.

This was a very cute hotel except for the noise! Varnished, creaky, wooden floorboards and wood doors with noisy locks and heavy iron keys are a bad choice. The noise factor dissuaded me from staying beyond one night,which is a shame. They could lay runners in the hallways, and rugs in the rooms, or hand out compulsory slippers on check-in. They could also get less noisy locks, lighter keys (or velvet coat them) and put small pads on the doorframes to reduce noise. Windows on the communicating walls between bedrooms and shared showers, if they cant be boarded, should have cork sound insulation, not sticky paper on the panes. I could hear every drop as if it were in my room. In the end, I had to play 10hrs of rainstorm sounds on my laptop to get to sleep. I was lucky the other guests were considerate or that would not have sufficed. Finally, as there is no table to put a suitcase on, and only one small chest of drawers in the room, a few pegs to hang clothes would have been appreciated. It is possible to retain the character features while making the stay more pleasant for the guests for not too much outlay.

Hotel facilities and staff were great for our three night stay. rooms were spacious and clean with cooking facilities and the roof top terrace, even in January was great! Highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay at Sunlight. It is steps from the historical center, steps from a large parking lot, and steps from the sea. Staff is very professional and a warm welcome awaits the visitor. Our room, Amelie, was spacious and calm. The bathroom, although shared, was spotless, large and well appointed and, most importantly, with only 7 rooms and not the only one available, it was free most times we needed it. Breakfast was diverse, complete and of decent quality. The common areas such as the terrace and den are very nice spaces to spend time in. I would go back to Sunlight if I went back to Faro which, by the way, is a charming place to visit.
