Die Unterkunft ist gut gelegen und sauber. Die Zimmer haben die notwendige Grundausstattung. Die Terrasse ist auch ganz nett. Insgesamt ist die Unterkunft mit gut zu bewerten ohne besondere Extras. Zur Info:- Die Unterkunft liegt übrigens im ersten Stock ohne Aufzug - Nur Barzahlung bei Ankunft möglich was wir vorher auch nicht wussten

A very lovely place to stay but about 20 step to get in so be ready to carry your bags. We love the little shop on the corner it made lovely home cooked meal and very cheap.

das Hotel ist sehr sauber und neu umgebaut. Sehr schön und mit viel Liebe ausgestattet. Leider für alte Leute unpraktisch weil die Treppe eng und sehr hoch hinauf geht. Konnte meinen Koffer nicht hochtragen - herunter auch nicht.

Nice and polite guy at the reception desk. Room was pretty small, hairdryer not working and very basic bed linen. But fair enough for what you pay. The next room girl was quite noisy in the middle of the night having phone calls or whatsoever.

Lovely cosy place,close to Faro historical town centre,lots of old contemporary old buildings,old brick roads,well preserved,shops,souvenirs shops,off licences,irish pub,portugese restaurants very close(1ml distance)spanish,english speaking nearly all over turistic Faro,boat trips handy enough towards Rai Fomosa(great private party island with loads of houses),boat taxis aswell,hotels,parks,coffe shops,great deals and great turistic ambassadors to guide you through Faro history,very pleasant people,the staff more than happy to help you with anything,very quiet place,not a single noise in the building,but keep in mind is only march,from june upwards gets busy turistic wise;
I had a great quiet experience over Sao Felipe hotel,the only thing is,the rooms are smaller than advertise but honestly,its irrelevant taking in consideration the clean place/room/amenities,white clean towels,clean bed sheets,the room itself is clean,the bathroom/shower is reasonable enough,tv and air-con fully functional.
Highly recommend it.

A rapariga que fez o check in muito simpática mas no entanto disseram que pagaria no check out no outro dia a seguir assim que chegamos apanhamos uma senhora muito antipática que no entanto que nos pedimos a chaves e disse nos o. Pagamento eu virei e disse o pagamento será amanhã no check out Como disseram me. Ontem e a senhora virou se disse não não eu virei me disse sim então foi o que foi dito no check in mas a senhora é muito antipática embora se não fosse a maneira da senhora ter falado daquela maneira o pagamento se calhar tinha dado uma pontuação positiva mas neste momento foi muito negativo tinha uma opinião muito bom no início mas com isto que se passou agora tornou se muito negativo infelizmente em condições de higiene muito boa sim mas a simpatia desta senhora estragou tudo que era positivo

I really don't understand all the negative feedbacks,because my stay was perfect. The room was perfectly clean and furnished, every day new towels and bed linen. The young man at the reception and the blonde lady are also very kind and friendly. Perfect position, close to the centre and the stations. I really recommend it, it was very affordable and clean as well.

Escalier très raide pour valises ou personne en difficulté, insonorisation pas terrible et terrasse néant vu sur rien. Arrivés dimanche le 19/08/18 vers 15h , personne à l'accueil pas agréable par contre la personne de nuit , vraiment agréable... Une nuit pas plus...

Excelente lugar para hospedarse, todo estaba muy limpio, había aire acondicionado, tenían suficientes toallas y almohadas para estar súper cómodo y el sitio es muy coqueto, bien decorado y céntrico, fue un placer reservar una habitación con baño privado allí lo recomiendo al 100%

La réceptionniste à qui jai eu affaire était vraiment peu aimable, mais ça ne reflète pas lattitude de lensemble des employés.Poignée de la porte cassée à mon arrivée, on ma laissé entendre que cétait ma faute. Salle de bain minuscule dont la lumière ne fonctionnait plus dès le 2e jour.En dehors de ça lhôtel est pratique car situé très près de la gare et non loin du centre, chambres équipées de la clim et dune TV qui elles fonctionnent bien.Lhôtel ne prend pas les CBs.

Good prices and very conveniently located close to the marina and bus/train station. Staff were very friendly and helpful, able to recommend restaurants and help you to book tours and taxis. Rooms were basic and small but clean and air conditioned. Towels and shower gel provided. Access via steep steps so not suitable for those who struggle with this.

Gastvriendelijk, klein en compacte kamer. Keurig netjes, ik zag de eigenaresse de handdoeken staan strijken. 50 meter verder zit een echt Portugees tentje waar je heel goedkoop héérlijk kan ontbijten met verse vruchtensappen, smoothie etc. Met 2e voor 6 euro ontbeten met vers sap koffie brood etc. Echt een aanrader! Dan hebben we een tuk-tuk tour gedaan ook geweldig!

Faro est un lieu de passage et la ville manque de chambres d'hôtel (pratiquement en toute saison) alors les hôteliers en profitent pour fixer des prix qui font le yoyo mais toujours élevés par rapport à d'autres viles comme chez le voisin Espagnol (logements faciles à trouver à prix abordables pour tous les budgets) et pour en revenir aux Guest Houses de Faro qui sont souvent des maisons de ville transformées, sans l'espace et la disribution des pièces qui va avec, sans bonne insonorisation, confort, etc... Vu le (bas) niveau de vie du pays, et même de l'Algarve (piège à touristes) ça reste (trop) cher...

Kleines günstiges Guesthouse mit kleinen Zimmern
Wir haben nur eine Nacht in Faro verbracht: Wir sind abends aus Porto angereist und morgens mit dem Zug weiter nach Albufeira gefahren. Für eine Nacht war das Hostel okay, länger würde ich da nicht bleiben...
Das Zimmer ist geradezu winzig. Es gibt nur einen schmalen Weg, der durch das Zimmer zum Bad führt: Sobald man also sein Gepäck abstellt, hat man sich selbst den Weg versperrt

Rude, abrupt and indifferent service from only staff member we had misfortune to deal with, a surly and unpleasant receptionist on the daytime shift. Rooms are a joke, ours (room 2)was described as a deluxe with balcony... In truth it wasn't even a 'box room' had to step in sideways anf climb over bed from the door, as the 3/4 size divan 'double' took up the entire floorspace. Shower, more of a leaky tap shared the same 3 cubic feet of space with a broken, smelly toilet and a 6" wide sink basin. I've seen bigger child's dolls house than this. A dump, overpriced and totally under equipped to deal with paying guests

It was exactly what it said it was, a guest house so a simple room and bathroom. Clean, area was so so but only 2 blocks from the main areas of town. Free parking right out front.

Die Zimmer waren sehr klein aber sauber und modern eingerichtet. Der Service war super und die Rezeption 24 Stunden offen. Es war n Stern Abzug gebe ich wegen der Lautstärke der viel befahrenen Straße, die man trotz geschlossenem Fenster deutlich hören konnte. Wir schliefen nur mit Ohropax. Die Betten sind bequem und die Zimmer zweckmäßig, wenn man nur zum Schlafen dort ist. Essen gibt es in der Pension nicht. Aber sie liegt zentral und mehrere Bars und Restaurants sind fußläufig erreichbar. Wir hatten ein Doppelzimmer und blieben für 2 Nächte.

Not a single issue with this place, fine to lay our head for a night, wouldn't want to stay any longer due to the room being so tiny (literally big enough for a double bed) but clean and close to station and pretty cheap. We got what we paid for and it was fine.

Todo bastante limpio y comodo la unica pega que nos toco una habitacion casi sin ventana tenia muy poca ventilacion, el chek out fue muy temprano y las escaleras de accseso un poco empinadas pero la ubicación esta genial todo cerca de alli para ir andando, otra de las pegas es el buscar apacarmiento por alli cerca, en fin bastante bien y con aire que es muy importante

We used this place to for a quick over nighter, we literally checked in at 9pm, slept and left at 7am the next morning. It was ideal becausenit was a.couple of minutes walk to the train station, it was also an easy uber ride from the airport (€9). It looked well maintained, check in was super quick and easy, room was very very small but clean, but you get what you pay for and this little room suited us for some where to sleep for a few hours.

Nous avions réservé une chambre familiale (4 personnes) au Gest House São Filipe. Résultat: ravis! Réservation avec un très bon suivi (avec demande de confirmation du personnel qui s'efforce à parler dans la langue du client). Personnel très aimable, serviable et souriant. Hôtel à proximité de tout: du centre ville, de la gare routière...etc. Chambre très propre et climatisée (située sur la terrasse, chambre n°11). Bonne literie pour les lits 1 place, un peu moins bonne pour le lit 2 places (c'est le seul hic, le reste était vraiment parfait). Taxi de l'hôtel à l'aéroport pour 10 euros environ, gentiment réservé par le personnel. Je recommande vivement.

Nous avons été accueilli à l'arrivée par une employée pas du tout agréable aucun sourire aucune courtoisie nous avions vraiment l'impression de gêner heureusement sa charmante collègue a pris le relais nous n'avons malheureusement pas pu la remercier en partant

The hotel facilities were poor. The room that was supplied to us was simply a shed built on a roof top. The room was extremely small with no facilities provided to place your luggage, our luggage had to be placed on the floor next to the bed.. No kettle for coffee or tea making facilities or a fridge. At 82 Euros per night it was way over priced to stay in a roof top shed. Other guests complained similarly.

It was easy walking distance from the bus and train station, which is why we chose it. Short walk into the marina and old town. Street entry wasnt easy due to the narrow stairs to first floor, with security door to let you in before you got onto level ground. The room is tiny. Okay for one night stay.

Das Hotel hat eine wunderbare Lage, es ist nur einige Minuten (zu Fuß!!) vom Zentrum und vom Bahnhof entfernt. Mein Zimmer hatte einen Blick zur Strasse (genau wir es mir gewünscht hatte) und hatte alles, was man so braucht - das Zimmer war kleiner als erwartet, aber es war ziemlich bequem (besonders wenn man sowieso den ganzen Tag unterwegs ist :)

Unfortunately we stayed only 2 nights there. We got very nice introduction and recommendations during the check-in. Had a big clean room. Location is also very good to reach fast different kinds of beaches and the recommended one was definitly the best.
Also different kinds of activities can be booked dirext at the rexeption desk.

This place was very easy to find. There is a big sign on road and very close to station. I walked to and from station. Place only acccepts cash. The room was relatively small with a private bathroom. The place is old and very clean.The only minor things that bothered me is you can hear the doorbell ring at night and noise from the street. No shampoo or conditioner are provided so bring your own

This was cheapest place we found in October in Faro (Double room with priv. bathroom). I consider it to be expensive anyway, but similar properties in Faro had same or higher price, so it seems it is local thing. Otherwise guest house is clean and staff very helpful. It has good wifi, cheap esspresso. Room was tiny, but it had air conditioning (and for size of the room it was supper efficient). It has steep staircase so nothing for disabled people. And yes, they don´t accept any payment cards.

My room was very clean and comfortable, with all the useful freebies, even cotton make-up pads and a shoe-shining cloth! The hotel has a Terrace which has no special views, but lots of comfortable seating. Location is great, as its a 3 minute walk away from the centre where there are many restaurants, bars, live music and pretty churches and cathedrals. Theres a mini-mart just opposite the hotel, and a few cafes within 50m where you can get a nice simple breakfast and good coffee. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the area, however not with taxi or travel recommendations.

Night reception could not do enough to help,
This is not a place for disabled guests as it is entered up a steep staircase from the road.
The room was small, noisy and for the price left a lot to be desired.
The handwash/shower gel I would not have used to wash a scabby donkey,smelt foul.
Rooms are dated , and 10 is tiny. Great shame as it is well positioned.

Very clean hotel. Small rooms and bathroom and pretty noisy because of the cars on the street, otherwise not bad! Staff could speak more and smile more. They are respectful though. I would recommend the place for max a couple of nights. Great location as well near the train station.

Heel netjes maar wel harde bedden. Prijs-kwaliteit is zeker top. De ligging is prima. Een van de meisjes aan de balie was héél chagrijnig, het andere dan weer heel behulpzaam. Prima voor een laatste dag... ligt dicht bij de luchthaven.

Sehr enges Zimmer mit extrem schmalem Doppelbett... noch dazu eine eher ungemütliche Matratze. Sauberkeit war dafür sehr gut. Das Bad war ebenso zweckmäßig und sauber, jedoch auf Grund der Jahreszeit und der nicht zu schließenden Entlüftung sehr kalt und daher eher ungemütlich. Trotz Buchung über hotels.com im Hotel ausschließlich Barzahlung möglich. Parken ist rund um das Hotel kostenlos, aber es ist nicht leicht einen Parkplatz zu finden. Die Lage ist, was die Entfernung zum Zentrum angeht gut, aber die Umgebung ist eher trostlos. Das Personal war freundlich und die Rezeption immer besetzt. Falls man körperlich eingeschränkt ist, gilt es noch zu beachten, dass es keinen Aufzug gibt und der Weg ins Hotel über eine schmale Stiege führt.

I had a very positive experience. Staff was very super helpful and friendly. Helped us book excursions and airport shuttles. Rooms and bathroom are small, but still fine. There's a cute terrace to grab some sun or just fresh air and a chill place to sit. A 4 minute walk from the bus station (you can take a bus to the beach from here), less than 10 minute walk from the center of Faro.

Me es difícil opinar sobre la habitación porque no dormimos en una habitación normal, que las había libres, sino, en un prefabricado en la terraza, como palomas en un palomar. Eso sí, pagando lo mismo que en una habitación normal. Nos quedamos pq sólo era para una noche y pq nos daba miedo no encontrar nada más por una zona tan turística.

wenn man mit kleinen budget reist und einfach einen sauberes kleines Zimmer such das zentral liegt ist es vollkommen ausreichend. zupm zimmer gehört ein Bad, und ein Balkon den man sich mit dem Nachbars zimmer teilt. das Zimmer ist etwas klein aber vollkommend ausreichend zum schlafen für den preis. das hotel liegt zentral und auch in der nähe (2 minuten zu fuss) vom busbahnhof

Grundsätzlich, für den Preis war die Größe des Zimmers ok ;) das Bad war arg klein, die Dusche sehr eng.Das Zimmer war zwar klimatisiert, aber die Klima so laut das an Schlaf nicht zu denken war. Alternative: Fenster zur Straße bei ständigem Verkehrslärm auch nachts oder schwitzen im Zimmer. Naja, eine Nacht ohne viel Schlaf.Die Lage ist für den Anlass (Urlaubsende, früher Flug am Morgen) top, in unter 5 min am Busbahnhof oder Taxistand (11€ zum Flughafen).Personal ist nett, leider kein Frühstück. Zimmer sind klein aber sauber.Fazit: Bei dem kleinen Preis iO aber nicht nochmal bei 28 Grad Außentemperatur. Außer man stört sich nicht an dem Rauschen der Klimaanlage.

Das Hotel hat einem optimalen Anschluss an die Innenstadt von Faro. Leider war das Bad sehr klein. Der Strand von Faro liegt relativ weit entfernt. Ansonsten gerne wieder.

I really enjoyed my room. It was small but comfortable. The only disadvantage was that the sliding glass door was broken, so security was not high. Also, though breakfast was delicious, the staff was completely unattentive. I never even saw a staff member down for breakfast the whole time I was down there! Hotel is close to airport but far from main center of town.

Good stay during one week.Thanks again to Annabella and her colleague.Room good, cleaned every day.Area nice in the city centre, goods places for breakfast, lunch and diner.We recommend, and probably we will go there again.(Just a little, little thing, they dont accept credit card (Visa, Amex, Master). The hotel is centrally located, close to the train and bus stations. Close to the bus stop from where buses leave to the airport and to the beach. However the size of the room was very small. There was just a bed and no space for anything else. You can hardly move around the bed.
