Peccato non poter dare la sesta stella. Cena a dir poco sublime. Lo chef creativo e bravissimo. Ci siamo lasciati trasportare dal suo estro e non ce ne siamo pentiti. Da tornare 100 altre volte

Great sushi place with good quality fish. I'd say it's on par with the best places in Porto. Maybe a little above average in price but worth it.
By far the best deserts I had in a sushi restaurant. Made in house and incredible.

Nous y sommes entrés par hasard, un peu fatigués par une journée de visite et aussi pour changer un peu de la gastronomie portugaise. Bien nous en a pris !
La goût des plats vaut autant pour la qualité de ses ingrédients que pour le savoir-faire du cuisinier. Un conseil, testez et partagez tout.
L'addition est très raisonnable par rapport à la qualité du repas.
Il s'agit du meilleur japonais que nous ayons eu l'occasion de tester !

Sitio maravilloso para comer. Esta a la altura. Calidad precio muy buenas. Solo una pega. Te ponen el coubert sin pedirlo y te lo cobran. Aunque sabes que te lo van a cobrar, como te tratan con mucha amabilidad cuesta rechazarlo.

A hidden gem located in a quiet street not far from the busy area of a Ribeira. In this small and cozy place you can have top notch sushi for a fair price. Highly recommended

Well... I pretty much been in all sushi restaurants in town and this one is, by far, the best experience I've ever had! You don't get those standard multi pieces menus but an experience from the starters to the dessert that will definitely impress you. Don't look at the cart and let the waiter guide you through the experience. Hands down!

Absolutamente INCREÍBLE. Fuimos a Oporto de viaje por el cumple de mi chico. Intenté buscar un buen sitio para cenar. Tenía reseñas muy buenas y me decidí por este. No sólo cumplió con las expectativas sino que las superó. Salimos flipando. Además, nuestro camarero, JEAN, nos trató muy bien. El mejor resumen es decir que TODO ESTUVO DE 10. IMPECABLE.

Adoramos. O peixe é muito fresco e suculento. Casa de sushi ideal para quem pretende degustar o sushi no seu mais puro sabor. O staff é muito simpático. Poderiam ter mais opções de bebidas. De resto, é fantástico.

Sin duda la mejor comida japonesa q he comido y a precios razonables. Fuimos tres dias seguidos, los dos primeros insuperables, el tercero un poco mas flojo. El pescado es buenisimo... Sobretodo los platos con corvina. La tarta de lima buenisima. Hay q dejarse aconsejar x el camarero moreno con bigote. Las raciones no estan mal.
Ojo q es portugal... Si comes el aperitivo q te ponen te cobran 2 euros x persona.

Great service. Even though I come from Sydney I still think it's probably 30% over price. Rice is too soggy on the sushi. Yakisoba was too sweet. I won't strongly recommend unless you really want some Japanese food. It was pretty busy for a Tuesday night so I think the locals like it.

The food here is amazing. We've had sushi in a great deal of restaurants and this one is outstanding. The staff are extremely accommodating and we witnessed them recommending several dishes to less experienced customers.
While more expensive than other restaurants might be you get what you pay for in terms of quality of food and taste. Cannot fault the restaurant or it's staff.
Service COULD be considered slow but if you've been to Portugal before you will understand the slower pace and appreciate that fresh food of this nature takes a little longer to prepare. All in all the experience was a perfect start to our honeymoon and our first night in Porto. Definitely worth a visit!

Sushi muito bom, com respeito pelo tradicional, sem deixar de apresentar propostas modernas. Este restaurante é uma experiência gastronomica pois explora a cozinha japonesa e não apenas o sushi. Relativamente ao custo, este pode ser caro, mas vale a pena.

Começo por dizer que não é um restaurante de sushi, mas como diz na publicidade - um restaurante de inspiração japonesa. Porém tem dos melhores sushis que já comi. Não esperem encontrar queijo creme no vosso sushi. Esperem encontrar ingredientes frescos.
O serviço é relativamente rápido e os empregados são muito bons.
Éramos quatro pessoas e pagamos cerca de 33€ cada um. Pedimos quatro entradas quentes, sake, sumos, chás, 52 peças de sushi, quatro sobremesas e um café.
Recomendo vivamente!

Very good sushi restaurant which impressed throughout all the courses. Besides the signature starter Okonomiyaki (Japanese pancake with cabbage, octopus and shrimp, ponzu, mayonnaise and katsuobushi on top), the sashimi of tuna, salmon, white fish and scallop on ponzu sauce was very delicious. From the excellent sushi we tasted specifically the unagi (eel) hosomaki and the futo crab were outstanding. The yuzu tart with meringue was a very good finish of our meal which was even 30% off at lunchtime. We would love to come back to this small gem.

Place is cozy and the food is good. The menu unfortunately is a bit small and does have 'appetizer' and 'main course' which is weird for Japanese cousine, the waiter asked us a couple times why we were skipping the appetizers... Some dishes (like gunkans) are also limited in variety (they only have 4) but what they do have is really good. The fish is fresh and the execution of the dishes is accurate. Prices are above average but a discount through the fork was available at the time of this review. We spent ~47€ at dinner (two people).

The couvert was fried fish, which was exceptional. As a starter we also ordered a shrimp and octopus pancake, which was also amazing. The sushi itself, could be better... apart from the salmon nigiri, the sushi was just average. Considering this, it is too expensive for the quality that is served.

Cozy spot for a well priced lunch on a rainy day...service was friendly, fish was fresh and flavorful. I happen to love salmon, and the offering today was very salmon centric. (My husband’s almoco 2 had a larger variety)
We are sushi lovers from the US and this experience ranks up there with what we have had in the international district in Seattle...
Pictures represent the almoco 1...I also had a coffee, not pictured, but included in the price...which went deliciously with my husband’s chocolate dessert...excellent value...
If you are hungry, for an additional €2 you get 2 more pieces of sushi and 4 pieces of sashimi...it is a lot of
food and the almoco 2 had my husband pleasantly full...
The place seats about 12-14 people (unsure if there is additional seating upstairs), if you are craving sushi on your travels, I recommend giving this spot a visit, they offer more than sushi if yakisoba is more your style or you have a variety of tastebuds to please....enjoy...

What an amazing experience. The food was delicious. Fresh and tasty Ceviche. And the Yakisoba was one of the most tasteful I’ve ever had. The two guys from Brazil (Porto Alegre and Florianópolis) who are running the place are really looking after their guest. Highly recommended!

Very good sushi, even the nigiri. I have very low expectations for sushi; it’s very hard to get good fish and to prepare the rice correctly. And if you’ve spent a lot of time in Japan, you realize how weak sushi offerings tend to be overseas. We gambled at Gion and won. The nigiri was well prepared, good ingredients. We also liked the okonomiyaki.

Excellent restaurant japonais à Porto, pas le genre de cuisine qu'on pense tester en vacances au Portugal, mais c'était délicieux ! Raffinés, copieux et abordables comparé aux restaurants japonais qu'on trouve en France. Nous avons adoré l'okonomyiaki !

O restaurante tem uma densidade grande o que provoca muito barulho quando cheio e muito calor em dias quentes.
O serviço foi muito lento, os pratos chegaram desencontrados e tivemos que lembrar alguns pedidos de bebidas que foram feitos e não vieram.
Comemos uma entrada muito boa, uma panqueca japonesa.
O sushi era bom.
Os preços são altos.
Pagamos 30 euros por pessoa.

The place is in a league of its own in the Japanese culinary scene in Porto. The chef was very polite , came to our table to accomodate our special requests. He has definitely mastered the art of preparing real top grade shushi. Not cheap though, worth every penny. Highly recommended.
