You MUST EAT HERE when in Porto!! I wish we had come sooner because this was by far one of our favourite spots! The food is super tasty, affordable, great service and just amazing time here! I would highly recommend their gambas, tripas & vegetarian lasagna. You won't be disappointed!

La nourriture était bonne et les prix vraiment raisonnables. Le seul souci : après nos tapas nous avons attendu de pouvoir commander des desserts... En vain. Nous avons fini par partir. Dommage !

O restaurante é pequeno mas bem aconchegante. A comida é muito saborosa com preços justos e o atendimento muito bom; tínhamos esquecido uma sacola na mesa e o dono veio correndo atrás de nós na rua para entregar, muito gentil. O espaço desde o salão do restaurante, toilets são bem limpos. No final, antes de sairmos, ainda ganhamos uma dose de um vinho do Porto tão saboroso para nosso paladar que se eles vendessem a garrafa teríamos comprado. Recomendamos com certeza. Se estiverem no Porto passem neste restaurante que não irão se arrepender.

Microwaved lunch. We stopped by for lunch after seeing the high ratings in Google. We ordered 4 tapas which arrived very quickly. Turns out they are just being heated up in the microwave... Tasted ok but as you know with microwave, parts are extremely hot while others are cold. And it completely dried out some of the meat. Not sure why such a high review on Google. Perhaps lunch you only get microwave reheated food. Tasted not bad and it was not too pricey.

Für jeden sind Tapas dabei (selbst für Vegetarier) - zu einem unverschämt guten Preis. Unbedingt hin da!

A wonderful little restaurant I happen to stumble by whilst walking to my hotel. The food is amazing and tastes authentic. Much better quality food than the other “tourist trap” restaurants. It is a very small place so I had to sit at the bar. And the food is very cheap. I had a a main dish and glass of wine for €7.50. The service is wonderful too. Will definitely eat here again tonight.

Just walking down the street Aquele Tasso looked so inviting! The service is wonderful! They answered all my questions and gave me a great recommendation. The food came out piping hot and delicious! The price is good too! Definitely a must while in Porto!

This place is so unassumingly wonderful. The Portuguese tapas-like menu will have you tasting loads of super delicious dishes so you know what to get more of the next time. Which we did, time, after time again! Their selection of ports are devine!! Capacity is small and the mood calm and intimate. Reserve if you have to. Best thing of all though, is the price... Hands down the BEST prices you'll find anywhere and such quality!! A must-frequent local restaurant.

Coincido con algunas personas que atrae el local , y su publicidad de comida casera. Pero tuvimos mala suerte o decisiones poco acertadas, pedimos un aperitivo de bolas de bacalao y croquetas y estaban heladas , las calentaron porque se lo pedimos.
Después pedimos bacalao a la nata y era una ración grande , pero todo patata , estaba buena pero nos dejamos la mitad del plato los dos. No sé quizás mis expectativas eran muy altas a la vista de las opiniones anteriores. Mi crítica es hacia la construcción positiva no pretendo que la gente tenga opinión mala de la tasca, pero si cuidar pequeños detalles y llamar a las cosas por su nombre.

外見はあまり目立たないのですが引き寄せられて訪問しました。サングリアとマッシュルーム、ソーセージ、シチューを注文。美味しい!!ポルトで数店レストランに行きましたが価格、味、接客共にベストです。ぜひ立ち寄ってみてください。英語でも接客してくれます。外れなしでした。デザートはポルトワイン＋エッグタルトとクッキーケーキを注文。甘すぎず食後の満足度が高まりました。
お会計も２人で20€ほど。大満足です。
注文に迷った際はオーナーかサーバーに聞くと親切に答えてくれます。

Comi um bolinho de bacalhau e barriga de porco com batatas ao murro. Tudo estava gostoso. O bolinho não estava quente, mas realmente era só pedir que com certeza iam aquecer. Mas estavam bem frescos e bons. A comida estava boa, especialmente as batatas. Ótimo preço. Bom custo benefício. Cardápio em inglês e francês, além de português.

Das Aquele Tasco ist ein ganz süß eingerichtetes kleines Lokal mit karierten Tischdecken, rustikalen Möbeln, Kesseln, einem Weinfass und natürlich diversen Portweinflaschen als Deko. Sehr kuschelig, sehr gemütlich. Ehrliche, einheimische Küche - hier gibt es noch Tripas (Kutteln) nach Porto-Art, wenn auch mit etwas zu viel Bohnenanteil.

Great little place that you easily walk pass by, but is absolutely worth it to eat at! We came here after a long day of walking up and down the streets of Porto. Completely exhausted and ready for wine. We ended up in this little restaurant. At first we didn't know what to expect. The setting isn't that cosy. But the food and the wine were absolutely perfect for what we needed. Staff was really nice and helpful. It's a place that I would recommend to everyone that's looking for a little random restaurant that isn't to tourisic but serves great food.

Ziet er leuk uit als je langsloopt. Eenmaal binnen valt direct de tv op waar een muziekzender op staat, dit is ook de muziek die je in het restaurant hoort en komt niet ten goede van de sfeer. De verlichting mag ook een tandje minder. Het eten is goedkoop maar van een lage kwaliteit. Sommige dingen zijn gewoon niet lekker. De tapas kroketjes zijn niet aan te raden, evenals het kaasplankje. Bediening was aardig. Het verbaast mij dat alle reviews zo positief zijn, heb dit nog nooit eerder meegemaakt.

Good place with good prices and good food. The tapas style dishes are well served and the pimentos padrón were really good and still a little crunchy is I like, with good olive oil and coarse salt. The tripas a la Moda de Porto were good and filling as well. Fast service and gave us food at 3pm

Lovely setting, food and excellent hosting from chef/waitress..
We dined as a couple whilst on an extended weekend break, and loved our dinner so much that we returned for lunch on our final day in Porto. As a rule we prefer to try different places to eat whilst on holiday but we made an exception for this place, especially due to the chef who was also front to house (small joint).
Her recommendations were spot on; try the bacalhau com natas, empanas, rojoes, flamed chorizo, bacon wrapped alheira sausage. Really wanted to eat the duck rice but it wasn’t ready for lunch service. Good local wine & beer selection too. Finished meal with her recommended “chocolate cake” which turned out to be an artfully designed chocolate fondant (perfectly baked) with tangerine sorbet and little pieces of seasonal fruits. Prices were very reasonable for the quality delivered.
Go enjoy and tell her how much you want to come back!

Descubrí el local por casualidad, situado en pleno centro de Oporto, comida casera muy buena y a buen precio, excelente trato al cliente por parte de los dueños, se convirtió en mi restaurante para cenar durante mi estadía en Oporto, si vuelvo a la ciudad sin duda repetiré, restaurante totalmente recomendable.

באתי לאכול מרק. היה לו טעם של מיץ גרביים. יכול להיות שנפלה גרב לסיר. אני לא כועס. זה קורה. אבל לשלם על מרק 4 יורו זה כבר ממש לא בסדר. חוץ מזה הצוות נפלא ונחמד. זה לא שינה דבר מטעמו וממחירו של המרק.

Yes yes yes! This restaurant is wonderful in all aspects: the atmosphere feels cosy, the food is great and the staff as well! We usually go there to take their mini-francesinha which are the perfect snack while having a walk in Porto but they also propose all sort of dishes to share (tapas), and they have a selection of great wines as well. The prices are very affordable and its location is great and easy to find.

Walked and searched for THIS restaurant! My husband and I stumbled upon this restaurant on our first visit to Porto. We brought our daughters to Porto a few months later, and walked and walked searching for this restaurant. We have eaten Tapas each time (including the mini Fransisca). I believe we have tried every tapa and have been very pleased with each. Personally, I LOVE the peppers, Chorizo, and the meat skewers. This is a great sit and enjoy your life location. It is small, friendly, affordable, yummy and beautiful.

It was our last night in Porto and chose this restaurant due to the reviews. Unfortunately we had a terrible experience. Only one dish was nice from everything we have ordered, the order came incomplete, the soup had no flavour, ( was actually the worst I ever had in my life) and the fish pie was full of bones. Terrible table service too, we waited a lot for the food to be served and the staff looked all the time grumpy and not interested. Staying on the mobile phones instead of cooking the food..... I wish we ve opted for another portugheze restaurant.

Dans le cadre d’un court voyage à porto, nous nous sommes arrêtés dans ce restaurant sur les conseils de Tri Advisor que nous confirmons : si vous aimez manger ou voulez découvrir de la nourriture typique portugaise, vous sonnez à la bonne porte.
La cuisine est sans chichi, et les saveurs sont au rendez-vous. Le restaurant n’est pas grand, mais cela ainsi que l’équipe, apporte une ambiance chaleureuse.
Nous avons goûté parmi plusieurs petits plats, la Francesinha dans son format « mini ». Cette spécialité portugaise étant plutôt dense, nous avons apprécié goûter ce petit format.
Le service est plutôt rapide, et les prix sont plutôt abordables. Comptez à peu près 15€/pers.
Nous recommandons.

Very small however with a great home atmosphere. Portuguese food at its best. You need to try codfish dishes here. It's really cheap. That makes it even greater. Tell the waiter you want to share and take few dishes. You will get it fast. A variety of wines will do the job. Look out they have 9 tables and on weekend's evenening can be crowdy. Just a few steps from Bolhao Market and Porto's main avenue.

Being three times there we appreciated really kind service with a huge hospitality for guests and many tasty and local dishes in affordable prices.
If you want eat most meals up to 10€ approximately with pleasant atmosphere, I guarantee you shouldn't let down this local. Certainly I will remember this restaurant from others visited the most in Porto. Highly recommended.

늦은 저녁 먹으러 갔는데도 손님이 많았어요. 자리가 많지 않았는데 다행히 한자리 있어 식사 바로 할수있었고 주인분이신지 직원분이신지 넘 친절하더라구요 와인 추천해 달라고 했는데 테스터도 내어 주시고 혼자 새우요리, 대구요리 이 두가지 먹었는데 양도 적당하고 진짜 맛있습니당❤

The cuisine is really marvellous, the servings abundant (I was too full to cope even a small dessert except of sangria - which is delicious!) and fantastic wines (local vinho verde and, among others, red wines from Douro region). The codfish, the pork dishes, the soup and fantastic sausage chouriço, roasted on fire - I would be in a great trouble, if I had to choose my favourite! But equally important is warm and kind atmosphere! The owner, senhor Fernando, and his three young co-workers are incredible and really know, how to create for a pair of tourists a home far away from home. Thank you all, dear friends! I will always return to Aquele Tasco, when I visit Porto again!

I was so impressed by this restaurant! The service was friendly, the price was great, and the food was even better! I recommend the black bean and smoked meat dish, but there is a really great tripe dish too. The desserts were also amazing and the chocolate mousse was thick and creamy. This is definitely a place to come back to.

Location is excellent and very clean within. Nice ambiance and scope of menu is average. Would not return because of the unhappy staff. Young man and woman working during lunch would clearly rather be doing something else. For us, the host is a small but important part of the dining experience.

This is a GREAT VALUE, seriously delicious food for a reasonable price. My friend ordered the duck rice and had a few pork dishes which were all great and I had the vegetable soup and bacalhou with potatoes. I could not recommend a place more highly for your last dinner in Porto. The food was excellent and it doesn’t break the bank.
That said besides the food and price the staff and owner are very friendly and speak English pretty well. That said as a Texan I haven’t had spicy sauce in Europe I couldn’t handle before I told the owner I wanted the spiciest sauce he had... it destroyed me, to be fair he warned me but still everything is good and drinks and food are a good price. Definitely recommend this place when you stop in Porto

I am a tourist to Porto. This is certainly my favourite restaurant in town! I tried 6 dishes in 2 consecutive days. ALL of them are excellent! Sauteed mushrooms, slow roasted marinated pork leg, Porto style tripe and white bean stew, Brazilian black bean stew with smoked meats, Pork belly and Traditional codfish!
Yummy! I will definitely come back again next time when I visit Porto again :)

Tout simplement exceptionnel. Les portions sont gigantesques et les prix dérisoires. Une explosion de saveurs, le patron est d’une humanité rare. Les plats sont généreux et copieux à son image. Really nice "Tasco" near Santa Catarina Avenue where you'll get a great variety of traditional food for a very good price. You'll quality food but there is a big "no no" for some people. Some food is not prepered in this place which means some dishes are made in a bigger kitchen outside this "Tasco" and then preserved in vacuum until reheated in this place. But I'm telling you, it's quality food because it will look and taste like it was made at the moment.
Also the environment is very cozy a the waiters very welcoming. I recommend if you fill a bit in a hurry because service is pretty fast.
3 stars just for the fact that is mostly reheated food. However, for the flavor and quality it deserved 4.

Comida increíble a precios muy muy asequibles. Hacen todo al momento, con una gran variedad de ingredientes frescos.
Éramos un grupo grande, y se acomodaron a nosotros perfectamente aunque fuimos sin reserva. Aún así, recomendaría hacer una reserva si es posible, ya que no disponen de una cantidad excesiva de mesas en el interior.

Hay medias raciones y los precios están acorde con la cantidad. El lugar es pequeño y nosotros tuvimos que esperar un poco pero vale la pena
