Very well localized in the old city center of Porto, nice and spacious double room with beautiful view of the city. Staff is kind and helpful. It appeared to have been recently modernized. I particularly enjoyed the cozy and friendly atmosphere

Adorei a minha estadia no The Poets Inn. A localização é óptima, central, mesmo ao lado dos Clérigos. O staff é muito simpático e o hostel tem um ambiente familiar e acolhedor. O meu quarto era grande e espaçoso. Adorei a decoração. Gostei muitos das portadas das janelas e da porta da entrada, preciosas!!! Sala de pequeno-almoço muito fofinha e espaçosa, parecia que estávamos em casa :) Obrigada

Abbiamo soggiornato una notte, l'ostello si trova in perfetto centro e vicino alla stazione ferroviaria. La struttura è semplice ma pulita, lo staff cordiale e professionale. Buon rapporto qualità prezzo

Great location, nice room and friendly and helpful staff. Unfortunately this is not enough for a five stars. Bed are awful, a double bed made of two single bed, bouncy and uncomfortable. Room is cold, despite the little electric radiator and draft coming through the window. Also the shower is without pressure and it's a small box. Not recommended.

Für das gebotene zu teuer. Die Preise entsprechen eher einem Hotel, das Ambiente einem Hostel. Es gab keine Seife oder Duschgel im Bad, das Frühstück war sehr einfach. Der Kaffee steht in der Kanne auf der Heizplatte der Kaffeemaschine, die schaltet sich aber im Laufe der Zeit ab und der Kaffee ist kalt. Der Käse entstammt einem großen Block und wird im Frühstücksraum während des Frühstücks vom Personal mit der Aufschnittmaschine zu Scheiben verarbeitet. Wir waren dann am ersten Tag einkaufen und haben uns alles, was fehlte, am zweiten Tag zum Frühstück mitbebracht. Der Check in läuft ab 16 Uhr so ab, dass Sie per Code einen Safe mit dem Zimmerschlüssel öffnen. Ein Zweitschlüssel soll im Safe bleiben. Der Code ist pro Zimmer unterschiedlich, es lag aber eine Liste der Codes offen an der Rezeption, wir hätten also problemlos Zutritt zu allen Zimmern gehabt. So geht's nicht...

Lugar muito bem localizado, quartos e banheiros limpos e silenciosos, cama confortável e recepcionistas muito simpáticas! Café da manhã simples (pão, presunto, queijo, café, leite e cereal). Recomendo!

Très bien situé, on fait tout à pieds, nous avions une chambre au dernier étage avec petit balcon et salle de bain partagée.
Chambre assez grande et très propre, c'est pas hyper bien insonorisé donc faut pas que les voisins soient bruyants mais pour une ou deux nuits ça va.
On peut se garer devant gratuitement; petit déjeuner très bien, personnel disponible, et il y a une petite cour pour apprécier un moment le soir ou le matin au calme.

Ok. Stayed here three separate times while doing the Caminho Portuguese. Great location away from the hustle and bustle. Also there is an hour bus ride from the airport without transferring. You can also use the metro system and then walk. Also within walking distance of the old train station. Now if your are schlepping a lot of luggage, well you won't be walking ;).

Wir hatten das dazugehörige Apartment, ein paar Straßen weiter, gebucht und waren absolut begeistert. Ein großes Wohnzimmer, eine tolle Küche, ein Aufzug. Alles perfekt. Es war natürlich ohne Frühstück, aber die fantastischen kleinen Cafés außen herum, luden zum Einkehren, beziehungsweise zum draußen zu sitzen ein. Sollten wir wieder einmal für einen Städtetrip nach Porto kommen, werden wir versuchen dieses Apartment zu bekommen.

This is a great place to stay during your visit to Porto. The location is very central, with buses and the São Bento train station close by. The room and the toilets were fresh but our beds were rock solid so 3 nights were perfect for us, not sure we could have handled more. The breakfast is OK with the buns being the highlight. The personnel is very friendly and helpful as well.

I had a great stay here. Me and my friend shared the private room with the private washroom. It was very clean and spacious, the entire place looks very cute and is walking distance to so many attractions! Staff is very helpful and friendly!
We were here in January and the room can get a little chilly with just one heater, however after the first night we asked for a second heater which made a big difference!
The only room for improvement is that it isn't very accessible, as in there are many stairs and no elevator, or other option to get up the stairs.

Hotel was nice, interesting design and great atmosphere. We liked also a self heckin. Excellent location, room was fine but breakfast was nothing extra. Almost no options - jam, cheese and ham with bread. Some fruit, that was all.

Ostello tranquillo, confortevole, camera pulita ed in pieno centro.
Avevamo il balconcino che si affacciava proprio su una delle piazze principali di Porto. La colazione inclusa era a buffet con offerta dolce e salata

Cute guest house in Porto with lovely private rooms, shared living spaces and kitchen. Service was friendly and the house is well located a short walk from the main Sao Bento station.
The hostel isn't staffed after 4pm, so make sure you check your phone for the entry code to the door and for details on how to access your room. This may be problematic for those travelling without phone roaming (we were lucky to be let in by another guest while we figured it out). I would suggest the Poet's Inn lets travellers know about this on their HostelWorld confirmation email.

We were super surprised by how large our room was! We managed to snag a huge double room on the top floor, with a small balcony which opened up to the laneway.
This B&B is well-located, clean and well equipped. The only thing missing was a bit of atmosphere, but it wasn’t an issue as Porto itself had so much to do.

Ein süßes kleines Hostel. Die Zimmer sind geräumig, individuell und sehr schick eingerichtet. Wir teilten uns ein Bad mit einem anderen Zimmer. Wir waren im Winter da und das Zimmer war gut geheizt als wir ankamen. Das Frühstück ist einfach, aber man hat alles was man so braucht. Es ist eher wie ein kleines Hotel, als ein Hostel. Ich würde wieder hier übernachten.

Een heerlijk hostel met prima kamers en vriendelijk personeel!wij hadden kamer1: Genet met een gedeelde badkamer, maar de badkamer hadden wij voor onszelf omdat de kamer op dezelfde verdieping een eigen badkamer had! Gezellige eetkamer met zitje, prima ontbijt met ontzettend lekkere jam! Midden in de binnenstad met een fantastische banketbakker op de hoek en alle fijne restaurants op max 10 min lopen en alle bezienswaardigheden op een korte afstand te bezoeken! Absoluut een aanrader!!!

Localização excelente. O quarto privativo é espaçoso e limpo. A luz do banheiro não acendeu no primeiro dia mas, após informar na recepção foi concertado.
Café da manhã com poucos itens mas muito bom. Se busca um hostel tranquilo é a pedida certa.

Really nice hostel very well located. The access to the main spots in Porto is very easy. However, the only thing that is not so good as everything is the breakfast. It's good but could be better. Only this.

Nice location, nice staff, clean and modern rooms. Only negative point is the wifi. We were in the first floor and no apple device, neither iphone, macbook or ipad could connect to the wifi. Worked well in the lobby but unfortunaley not in the room

A really lovely mix of the comforts of a bed and breakfast (such as breakfast served in the morning) with informality of a house to rent. Located in a lovely building with a garden, and a few over Porto and the Douro river valley. In the very historic center of Porto.

estuve Hospedada en el Poets Privates, la casita esta bien, no hay ruido se puede dormir muy bien. esta bien ubicado.
estuve en la habitación Alba, que es afuera de la casa en la terraza y había mucha humedad y un calor impresionante ya que no había aire acondicionado. y la habitación tiene poca iluminación. la lampara que tiene no alumbra mucho.
ademas en la reserva dice que hay internet en todas las habitaciones y en esta habitación nunca pudimos tener Wi-Fi. nos tocaba entrar dentro de la casa para poder usar el internet.
teníamos baño privado, que es algo muy bueno, lo unico es que el baño olía siempre mal, eso es producido por la humedad que hay en la habitación.
dentro de la casa se esta bien, creo que es mejor reservar las habitaciones dentro de la casa que la de la terraza en la que yo estuve.

Juste parfait! :) En plein centre (2 pas de la gare, du métro, des restos et d'une supérette). Appartement super sympa et spacieux avec belle vue du balcon. Rien à dire. Si on va à Porto de nouveau on réservera chez eux sans hésiter.

Great place to stay, right in the center, a few steps away from Livraria Lello.
Very clean, cozy and romantic, with a great view. The key pick up system is on point if you want to late check in/out.
Recommended, I will be back again!

Hôtel très confortable et très bien situé. La terrasse et le jardin sont très agréables pour le petit déjeuner ou pour bouquiner.
Faites confiance à André pour les adresses. Il vous fera des recommandations en fonction de vos goûts et vos moyens.
On se sent comme chez des amis alors n'hésitez plus !

Excellent and interesting place to stay. Andre was extremely helpful and made us feel like we were at home (or at least at the home of a close friend) I definitely recommend The Poet's Inn for anyone looking for a nice clean room in a great location in the heart of the city.
Pros:
Andre is a gracious host who will make you feel right at home and will answer all of your questions!
Clean
Communal kitchen and dining area
Great location in the heart of the city
Price is great!
Tons of books for the guests to borrow
We were lucky enough to book one of the rooms with a bathroom, which was big and clean.
Cons:
No air conditioner (though the weather wasn't hot when we were there, so it was perfect)
Cars park a little close to the front door which made it hard to get the baby's stroller in...not the fault of the Poet's Inn at all.

Excellent location, near a lot of sites of Porto but also close to buses to take you to other places quickly. Super helpful staff. The place (Poets Privates) was charming (not super new but clean) with a nice backjard to relax in. Very relaxed atmosphere all in all! Would definitely recommend it!

La estadía en Poets Privates es absolutamente recomendable! Muy céntrico, habitaciones grandes y limpias, buenisima relación precio-calidad, y con una buena cocina, salón y jardín. La vista para la catedral es increíble, y la casa esta muy bien ubicada, cerca de la torre de los Clérigos. El personal es muy amable! Volveriamos sin duda!

We stayed at the Poets Privates, which is just around the corner.
It is a nice Hostel, very clean, big and comfy rooms, a large kitchen and living room. They also have a nice yard where you can have breakfast on the outside, altough it could be better arranged.
There are some cats living on the outside, but they told us this is a Porto problem.
Bathrooms are tiny but clean, no problem.
Breakfast is okay, but with just a few options: bread, cornflakes, some marmelade, juice and coffee.
I think the price is also great as it is for almost everything in Porto, from meals to transport.
I would recommend the Hostel for sure.

We stayed in the apartment which we absolutely loved. It has a very generous sized bedroom and a smaller room which is perfect for kids. The apartment was spacious with lots of light and newly decorated - it felt like a home away from home. The location was perfectly central to discover Porto by foot.

Recommend by a Portuguese friend for our 4 night stay in wonderful Porto, our 2 children Hugo (10) and Florence (7) are having the time of their life! Great friendly staff, great real life location.
This evening we will be sampling the delights of the local chief who comes in to cook a set menu a minimum of 3 people (even though yesterday it was for 2.
As a family hostels are nowback on the agenda.

Great cozy hostel, near to every major interesting locations in Porto. They have a friendly staff and really clean, well furnished ambients.
Don't miss their daily dinners: great wine, food and company.
