Bonita casa de piedra reformada cerca de la iglesia de Nuestra Señora de Oliveira. Alrededor las viviendas que hay son típicas de Guimaraes de diferentes colores, con balcones y miradores.

Hôtel exceptionnel! Un petit déjeuner parfait et trop bon ! Un service digne d'un 5 étoiles. Un peu cher mais vraiment très bien !!! Et surtout en plein centre-ville. Pas de place de parking.

Esperaba más por las críticas anteriores, fallos de diseño y de atención, una familia se quedó en la calle porque la recepción no es 24 horas y nadie contestaba el teléfono de emergencia. Llamaron al timbre insistentemente y despertaron a todos. Desayuno genial, a la carta. Nos fuimos temprano y nos dejaron preparada comida. Eso fue un detalle.

It was an amazing staying at Casa do Juncal. There were only 6 rooms so it was very quiet and peaceful. The breakfast is ordered the day before from a menu. It is actually a great idea so there is no food waste (hopefully eheh). The design details fit the decoration and the space.Totally recommended!

Estuvimos muy agusto por el trato y por las inmejorables instalaciones del hotel. Unas habitaciones grandes con salita. Los desayunos solemnes. Tienen un jardincito muy agradable para tomar una copa a la noche. Los dueños son superamables y atentos. Muy recomendable.

Fiz reserva do 13 ao 15 setembro , Até ao quarto tinha bastantes escadas , a telha não está issolado a nível de som , ouvíamos os gatos a caminha em cima dele e a musica na praça ... muito ruído , foram duas noite quaze sem dormir . Pequeno almoço bom Só pode entrar até as 20.00 Sem parque de estacionamento . Não voltarei .

We loved this hotel! The room was large and clean and well appointed and a great value for the price! The bathroom is a little small, but well updated. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic and made to order! The only suggestion I have is that parking is difficult and there should be instructions listed on Expedia about how/where to park. Also the hotel should have a notice on the outside of the hotel door asking new guests to knock for service. Otherwise the location was amazing and Guimaraes is the loveliest small town. We will definitely come back!

First night in the city after a long long travel from asia. Staff were helpful and friendly, comfy beds and nice clean rooms. Was a lovely stay and an awesome breakfast with so much choice that was very welcome. Price is high for the city but we'll worth it to recover and recuperate from traveling. Location is right I'm the heart of town by the old city. A stones throw from the sights sounds food, culture and nightlife.

Deliziosa struttura in una deliziosa Guimaraes! Le dimensioni della camera da letto (con sala lettura adiacente). La colazione viene gestita in un modo che ho trovato davvero efficente: viene chiesto ai clienti di scegliere cosa si vuole per colazione la sera prima; quindi non c'è buffet; quello che si é scelto viene portato direttamente al tavolo e si consuma solo ciò che si é chiesto; la qualità dei prodotti é eccellente: bravissimi! C'è anche un parcheggio gratuito per i clienti.

Bonito hotel. Habitación amplia, moderna y bien decorada. Personal atento. Paredes de papel se escucha todo del resto de habitaciones y el cachondeo de la gente de la calle en pleno agosto, el tejado cruje cada 2 x 3... los que vengáis a dormir traed tapones para los oídos para dormir si queréis dormir! Ubicación excelente, cerca de todas las atracciones turísticas. Se puede visitar todo a pie.

This hotel is AMAZING! I don’t have a single negative thing to say! Their lofts are perfectly decorated, the girls that work there are all super nice and helpful. I think the best part of our stay was the breakfast! Wow! Best breakfast we had on our 1 month trip all around Portugal and Spain. They ask you to pick items from a long list the day before so they can have it ready for you the following morning. Everything we had was delicious! Thank you!!! I would recommend this place and would 100% stay here again!

We just loved our stay here. Fabulous large room with lounge area that looked over the courtyard and bed that was heavenly. Breakfast was fabulous and the service was just amazing. The girls are incredible. Parked our car, carried our luggage - just amazing. Parking is a few minutes away, secure and well priced. The hotel is perfectly located and lovely. There are about 10 cats in the garden so could be a problem if you are an allergy sufferer and I did inadvertently step in some unpleasant dropping but I enjoyed watching them laze around and they disappear as soon as you go into the garden.

So happy that I came across Guimarães and Casa do Juncal. The first impression was from the attentive and friendly staff that let me leave my bags for a few hours as I arrived before the room was ready. They gave me some food and sight recommendations which were very helpful. The location is great and in the old town. About a 15 minute walk from the train station. The room was very comfortable and well decorated. This was the room with the balcony and the unique stairs. Took some getting used to but it was fun a good talking piece to photograph and show friends. The bed was comfortable. Be aware the only bathroom is downstairs. The couch folded out and slept one person and was actually comfortable. The breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had. They provide you a menu and you preorder whatever you would like for the following day. Everything was tasty and fresh. No need to eat out when you can enjoy their patio and breakfast room. I would absolutely come back to Guimarães and this is where I would stay.

Wunderbar. Moderne, saubere Zimmer in einem alten schönem kleinem Haus. Die Schiebe-Tür zum Bad klemmte ein wenig. Freundlicher Service, super Frühstück. Direkt am Rand der Altstadt. Parken in einem Parkhaus in der Nähe.

A perfect location in the historic centre of Guimaraes. Not too easy to find when travelling by car, but well worth the effort. The secure parking arrangement with an underground car park five minutes walk away works well. Service is welcoming and friendly and the breakfast, provided to order, is really excellent. The garden at the rear is a peaceful place to unwind with a cold beer after a days sightseeing, or after dinner with a glass of port (of course). Our room was not spacious but well equipped. The only downside, for people of our age(!), was the need to come down an interesting but at first sight alarming staircase from our bed on the mezzanine to use the loo. Overall, we would strongly recommend the Casa do Juncal, and we would be very happy to stay there again.

The hotel is located in the heart of Guimaraes on a quiet square. They offer free parking a few blocks away in a secure parkade. The amenities were excellent. Only complaint is that our loft unit was very warm upstairs. The air conditioning unit was able to cool the downstairs well but not the upstairs. The helpful manager, Daniela, assured us a fan would be installed to improve the cooling upstairs.

Wonderful, stylish, friendly proper boutique B&B # Positives? We liked everything, a lot . I've stayed in a lot of 4*-5* hotels around the world and this, as a hotel/B&B, is one of the best. Our rooms (called "K") on the top floor were light, airy, quiet, facing the garden and furnished in a very modern and stylish way. No IKEA or identikit hotel furniture here. Also, importantly, the suite was a proper one with two separate rooms, a bedroom and a living room with a connecting door - so no annoyance when you book a suite and you end up with an, albeit bigger, single room. So good decision there too from the owners. The bed was wonderfully comfortable with excellent materials and pillows. The welcome from the owner Mario was very friendly and informative. He told us about the history of the house, helped with parking* and have us done very good suggestions for dinner and getting my hair cut!** The breakfast was excellent ☕️, with very good quality ingredients and big quantities. You select what you want the night before and they prepare it in the morning fresh for you. Note: there is no room service, as in ordering from a kitchen for dinner. But I rarely use that anyway, so no problem for me. In that sense, the place is more a boutique B&B, which I mostly prefer every time over business hotels. * Parking. The hotel has one reserved space on the road (look out for the moveable sign on stand there), though a non-customer was using it at the time, it freed up later and we moved our car into the vacant spot. ** Hair cut. Mario recommended the nearest one, just 20m to the left where Señor Silva sometimes is there and plays the Portuguese guitar. As I was waiting around ten in the morning Sr Silva came in, shook everyone's hand and ended up cutting my hair, washing it (after the cut, just as I have always preferred), gave me a wet shave, then ended out of with a mini-recital! # Negatives? Actually nothing . The parking was a mild inconvenience (see "likes" above) but ended up in the one car space the hotel has, so was happy.

Un hotel céntrico, pequeño, muy limpio y realmente bonito y cuidado. Lo mejor la atención de su personal. Nos atendió una chica simpatiquísima que lo mismo preparó la habitación que el desayuno al día siguiente, trabajadora y encantadora. Un encanto. Un hotel más que recomendable.

Hemos tenido una estancia maravillosa, excelente desayuno, habitación genial con mucho diseño y comodidad, personal muy atento dispuestos a revolverte cualquier problema, situación muy céntrico, en la plaza y tranquila. Sin duda volvería y lo recomendaría a todo el mundo. Una puntuación de 10. Si vuelvo me quedaré más de una noche para disfrutar más de la estancia en esa casa y en esa ciudad preciosa y de todo su entorno.

Wir waren begeistert von dem freundlichen Empfang.Ein Parkplatz auf dem hübschen Platz vor dem Hotel war für uns freigehalten worden! Zum einchecken gab es ein Glas Wein , eine Erläuterung der Sehenswürdigkeiten und einen Zettel auf dem wir unsere Frühstückswünsche ankreuzen konnten - das Frühstück mit Ei Benedikt und griechischem Yoghurt mit frischem Obst war das Beste auf unserer Reise . In unserem Zimmer hatten wir viel Platz und die Einrichtung war bis ins Detail begeisternd. Leider konnten wir den hübschen Garten nicht nutzen-das Wetter spielte nicht mit.

Die Casa do Juncal ist mit Abstand das beste Privatquartier, das wir auf unseren Reisen hatten. Aus einem alten Haus inmitten der historischen Altstadt wurde mit viel Geschmack und architektonischem Geschick eine Unterkunft mit elegantem Design und großzügigen Zimmern. Im Zimmer S war es lediglich an der Toilette etwas eng, ansonsten absolute Spitzenklasse!Auch das Frühstück war hervorragend, eine Auswahl, an die viele Hotels nicht herankommen, Da die Unterkunft nur sechs Zimmer hat, musste man seine Wünsche am Vortag in einer umfangreichen Liste ankreuzen. Darüber hinaus konnte man noch Sonderwünsche äußern. Serviert wurde das Frühstück in einem Raum mit breiter Glasfront (zum Öffnen) zum gepflegten Garten, weiße Tischdecken, Stoffservietten, es passte einfach alles.Auch Service und Sauberkeit waren Spitze. Wir können die Casa nur empfehlen!

The small hotel has been renovated one year ago in a exquisite and modern style. We had a beautiful Suite S. The breakfast was excellent. You can choose from a list but may also add your personal wishes. Top! Especially for the price.

casa do Juncal is a beautiful converted old home with high ceilings, large rooms and superb hospitality. There is a well appointed garden in the back where one may sit for coffee or cocktails. The room was spacious, updated and completely comfortable. The hotel is well situated in Guimaraes which is a treat as a small town destination in and of itself.
