Unfortunately there is no option to give less than one star. The coffee came lukewarm, and my 'bacon' was just cheap ham. The worst part of the breakfast were the awful baked beans in what appeared to be a 'fizzy-fermented-vinegar' tomato sauce. I would never recommend anyone order the breakfasts here, the sandwiches looked ok so if you find yourself stuck here and hungry, order one of them instead! #touristtrap

Good food, coffee. Especially acai bowl and iced espresso. Unfortunately is very dirty and not clean. Tables are left with dirty dishes and you have to clean for yourself if you want to eat there. Overall experience is lacking due to the cleanliness issue. Toilets are dirty as well unfortunately.

The food in this café is very good and the variety is also good, however they really lack on the service aspect, you arrive in and all tables are not cleaned and the waiters don't seen to be bothered, there is also no clear sign that you should order at the counter, so you might wait for a while there if you don't realise it quick enough. Again the food makes up for it, but still it's a disappointing experience

Goede bediening en kwaliteit zeer goed van het fruit. Scrambled egs met zalm was ook zeer lekker. Een aanrader voor iedereen die wel/niet gezond wil ontbijten.

This is the third year we’ve come to this cafe for breakfast, unfortunately this is going to be the last time we step foot inside. The only thing that gets the place two stars is the food. It’s been consistently good every time, however, the service has gone very bad. This is not to say that I have a problem with the fact that it is a place where you pay at the counter first, but rather that the staff is slow and rude. It is unacceptable that customers sit at tables that haven’t been cleared and the waitress passes them by, cleans a table outside and doesn’t touch the table where 5 people are waiting to sit down. That group eventually left, after waiting for at least 10 minutes. As for myself, I went to the counter to order and the two members of staff did not pay any attention to me and I was made to wait for a few minutes, while one of the staff members passed me by repeatedly. Also, we sat at a table that wasn’t cleared and moved the dirty dishes ourselves. Just to be clear, the place wasn’t busy enough to justify how slow the service was. Also, waiting 30 minutes for an omelette? I’ve waited less for steak.

My title sort of sums up my feelings about this place. I had the Norway sande (sandwich), a very tasty and healthy seeming sandwich with delicious salmon on a very nut filled multi-grain baguette, with deliciously crispy chips on the side. The sandwich contained salmon, buffalo mozzarella cheese, tomatoes, spinach and onions, all tasteful and fresh. My wife’s pumpkin soup and our fresh juices were also just right. I’m only sorry I didn’t take pictures. (But I’ve cut and pasted one so you can get an idea.)
Perhaps best of all, however, was the very friendly woman who greeted and assisted us. Her demeanor made everything seem just that much more special. Even her response to my teasing criticism about having no Asia travel posters on the wall was pleasantly teasing in its own way as she “pulled” from the back room her “manager”, a friendly Asian fellow (HK Chinese?) who also seemed to enjoy the friendly banter.
A pleasant and cheerful place to get a snack or a meal. Heartily recommended.

Da alles frisch zubereitet wird kann es ein kleines bisschen länger dauern. Preise für die Touristengegend absolut in Ordnung.

Really nice place to have a healthy meal. The sandwich in the picture was to die for. The seeded bread was ‘crunchy&fresh’. The combination of smoked salmon, mozzarella cheese, sliced tomato and green leaves (all really fresh) was mouth watering. I’m leaving 5* only for those places that really wows me all around. This one really let me down on the quality of coffee. First cappuccino, the froth was really bubbly when it was supposed to be creamy. The second was the same and overheated. I almost burnt my mouth. Another thing that really annoyed me was the fact of not having a table service. I had to stand up and pay upfront for everything I had. I don’t want to sound too judgmental, but a coffee shop of this sort could easily offer table service. That will definitely add value and increase customers’ comfort. Other than that, this is a must stop by place.

Komplett überfordertes Personal bei 10 besetzten Tischen. Wartezeit von 45 Minuten für ein Rührei und ein Müsli. Auch an den anderen Tischen wurde vergessen, Besteck für das Essen zur Verfügung zu stellen. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis absolut nicht gegeben. Ein Porridge, das ca. 1 El Joghurt, einen Viertel Apfrl und einen Tl Sultaninen enthält kostet 5 Euro.

Lugar maravilhoso,aconchegante e com uma trilha sonora de nos fazer querer ficar lá por horas.
Experimentei ovos com queijo,presunto e cogumelos,estavam deliciosos,acompanhados de uma taça de vinho da casa.
Além do ambiente superior,perto da casa de banho no subsolo há um cantinho muito especial pra quem procura um lugar quieto e silencioso pra estudar,ler,meditar,refletir.

Le pongo 1 porque es lo mínimo. Personal poco agradable, me quisieron cobrar de más, y cuando cayeron en el error ni se dignaron en pedir disculpas. Aparte de todo esto, según la camarera el único idioma que no entendia era el español...cosa que me parece absurda pues somos los turistas que más abundamos por la zona.
Lo dicho, si no quieres que te tangen y se rían de ti evita este establecimiento.

Aos sábados, o café abre as 8h15, informação que está afixada na porta. Cheguei ao estabelecimento às 8h30 de sábado, entrei e disseram-me que ainda estava fechado e eu perguntei quanto mais tempo demorariam a abrir. A funcionária respondeu que não sabia porque tinham tido um problema com o fornecimento e despachou-me prontamento um "obrigada", tudo num tom como se eu fosse a pessoa errada na situação. Eu dou segundas oportunidades, mas para já 1 estrela.

Not very good tasting food. There are much better tasting cafes all around the area. Good for convenience if you're a tourist who just needs something fast and easy but don't care about taste. The pastries were not tasty, and this pastel de nata was the worst I've had in Portugal - mushy, too sweet. Two stars only because it was convenient and the service was somewhat nice.

Das Essen war sehr lecker aber ich muss meinen Vorrednern in Bezug auf die Wartezeiten zustimmen. Man sollte definitiv genug Zeit mitbringen! Preislich ähnlich wie für ein Frühstück in Deutschland. Wir hatten jeweils ein Feühstücks Menü (Omelette mit zwei Scheiben Brot, Kaffee/ Tee und ein Glas osaft für ca 8 Euro und waren den ganzen Tag satt :)

Tardaron una eternidad en preparar un desayuno, había gente y los platos parecían salir de forma aleatoria, gente que se sentó luego que nosotros fue servida antes con platos similares a los que pedimos nosotros. Primero trajeron el cafe, luego la comida, por ende el café estaba frío al momento de comer. En fin, deben organizarse un mejor en estos detalles que son importantes para quien concurre.

Me sorprenden las críticas negativas que leo sobre este lugar. Hemos estado en tres ocasiones en la última semana y nos han tratado bastante bien. Además es de los pocos lugares que sin cobrarte una barbaridad te ponen leche vegetal en el café (de soja), cuesta lo mismo que con leche de vaca, mientras en otros bares te cobran 50 céntimos. Camareros eficaces que hasta te sirven un vasito de agua del grifo y te facilitan el código del servicio sin necesidad de que pidas antes. Muy bien situado frente la estación de Sao Bento.

I have had lunch outside on the terrace tables and on a very wet rainy night inside the cafe, both experiences were excellent, service quick and friendly. The food is delicious and reasonably priced considering the location opposite Sao Bento railway station. The staff were very friendly, kind and chatty to me on both occasions and would definitely return and recommend to anyone in the area. A good selection of juices too which is a win from me!

Well then I'm writing the first review for this cute Cafe in Porto.
It was recommend from some bloggers from Instagram so we tried the brunch and it was worth it!
We both had a Latte Macchiato and the Cheesy Tom (scrambled eggs with Mozzarella, tomatoes, a side salad, butter and bread) for 16,70 Euros.
The coffeeshop has a nice atmosphere, great music playing in the background and pretty good food. If you need some coffee after shopping at the Rue de Catarina you better drink and eat here and not at the Majestic Cafe, which is totally overpriced (Cappuccino for 5 Euros!?) and crowded.

I had the granola with a choice of 3 fruits. It was lovely. My wife had the Greek egg. She loved it. Couldn't get over how good the flavours worked. The orange is so fresh. It was divine. Will definitely be back. Staff were lovely and attentive too.
The brunch special looks first value too. Will be trying it next time

Really good food for a more than affordable price. Really friendly service, you have to try the homemade sausage-sandwich with cheese, they are called charracinhos. Absolutely awesome, especially after a night of the sao jao-festival!

Went twice for breakfast and was very pleased both times.
For a full breakfast (eggs, bread, coffee, juice) for two paid 18€, not expensive and very good!!

One of our favourite places for brunch in Porto. In 3 days, we went back twice! Service is excellent, food is super tasty and prices reasonable too! I highly recommend the chai latte too- sooo tasty! And super cozy atmosphere :).

Un sitio magnífico donde tomar un café o un buen desayuno, en una ciudad con mucho encanto. Fui a pasar unos dias con mi chica a la ciudad de los puentes y decidimos ganaranos en desayuno antes de empezar el día, por lo que no contratamos en el hotel el servicio. Fue todo un acierto encontrar este sitio paseando ya que el resto de los días desayunaríamos allí.
Perfecto para un desayuno fuerte, un desayuno healthy o un almuerzo a media mañana.
Sin lugar a dudas no te lo puedes perder!
P.d No encontré el ticket para la foto, pero no supero todo los 14€ en el hotel hubiera sido algo más caro y menos apetecible.

Nice, relaxed ambience and tasty breakfast. Order came out pretty quick despite it being busy. Fresh pressed pear juice and strong coffee were great. Eggs were generous portion. Lots of locals stopping for coffee here. Would recommend.

Lovely little cosy cafe serving good food with plenty of healthy options. Good sized portions at decent prices. Indoor seating & tables with a few extra tables downstairs plus pavement tables. Close to the colissieum. Across the road from the popular cafe Santiago but we much preferred the brunch we ate here at the travellers.

Found this place around the corner from Majestic Cafe. Decided to go here for breakfast, after we saw the prices at Majestic. The food and prices at Traveller Caffe were excellent. Quality of food was superb! Great value and REALLY glad we found it. Highly recommended.

Place is extremely nice! They have great breakfast options including eggs in different ways and yogurt + granola which gives options to vary your meals. Juices and smoothies are also great. So it was a perfect breakfast place for our 2 mornings in Porto ladies at the counter are very nice also and speaking many languages including Russian for those who need it :)

first off: WOW. You can't go wrong with the "brunch menu" -- little pricy (14.95€) but when you see the amount of food they give you, you will be thankful you only ordered one of them. as for the eggs, go with the "marry poppins". remember to sit your stuff down and go to the register, there is NO wait staff, we sat down for 5 minutes waiting for them.. joke was on us.

Su carta ofrece una variada selección de productos: desayunos, ensaladas, batidos, zumos, sandwiches.
Es un sitio para ir de forma ocasional, ya que los precios son más elevados que el resto de cafeterías de la zona.
Nosotros probamos: American breakfast (zumo de naranja, café, huevos revueltos y pan recién tostado) y el desayuno parisino (zumo de naranja, té y croisant con mermelada).
Destacable la calidad de su producto.
Punto positivo: servicio amable y muy eficaz.
El local cuenta con una agradable terraza y un lumimoso comedor interior.

Best place for breakfast in Porto. Fresh juice, great coffee. Liked the "Power breakfast" offer. Cheaper than the breakfast in the hotel.

I paid 7.50 Euro for a breakfast. It contained fresh orange juice, a coffee, 2 toasts with butter, some salad with olives and scrambled eggs.
The staff spoke English and it was easy to order the food directly at the register.
Price-wise it was probably a bit more expensive than the average breakfast price in Porto. But taste was good and service nice. I will come back there for sure.

Brilliant place. I went there the first time to get takeout wraps of salmon and chicken to take back to my hotel companions. I enjoyed the colorful surroundings and the quotes beneath the counter as I waited for them to prepare the wraps and eclectic juice mixes and fries. I liked that everything was wholesome and health-conscious but didn't exclude indulgences like the fries and beer (there's a vodka-rum smoothie on the menu which I didn't try).
Two weeks later, passing through Porto again, I went back. It was Sunday after 9.00PM and the kitchen was closed, to my intense dismay. I ventured out into the city and peeked in at a good number of eateries but found nothing comparable to the Traveller Caffé. As the evening drew on and my footsteps grew forlorn and tired, I resolved to get just any food, but go back to the Traveller Caffé the next day. And so I did. Another helping of their wraps was a good note to end my Porto trip.
