Staff sempre rude, das duas vezes que fui fizeram sempre questão de serem indelicados. A comida é tb não é grande coisa para o preço que praticam mas a localização é boa.

I’m from Taipei, Taiwan and this is my second time visiting Bao’s! Food was incredibly made my personal favorite “chicken bao”. Fried chicken was surprisingly juicy and TASTY. Had a pleasant experience as always plus the staffs were friendly. Love this place.

Bom atendimento apesar da demora na entrega das refeições. As refeições não corresponde ao conceito do estabelecimento, para alguém como eu que já viveu e conhece bem a culinária taiwanesa, a comida servida neste estabelecimento deixa muito a desejar.

Encomendei pela Glovo, a comida era péssima. Os noodles eram intragaveis, pareciam bolonhesa com água, uma massa que parecia esparguete, a rice bowl tinha um arroz espapacado e sem sabor. Os baos não eram péssimos. Comida muito mal confeccionada e cara.

Nós tentamos experimentar um novo espaço, com uma gastronomia diferente, numa ocasião especial: um aniversário. Desde o momento que fomos recebidos sentimo-nos bem acomodados, embora o espaço seja um pouco claustrofóbico, o que influencia directo num dos aspectos que menos gostei, que é ter que levar o pedido para o piso acima. A comida era óptima, a porção nem tanto, pouco generosa para o que se paga. Se aceitam levar recomendações em conta, sugiro que pensem na possibilidade de fazer menus, uma opção mais prática, económica e que dê margem para provar mais opções da carta.

Espaço para Eventos e reunioes Comerciais , boas mesas e cadeiras e os banheiros limpos.Esta em uma Esquina impar na Rua Cedofeitas uma das principais do Bairro , perto de tudo , bons restaurantes , bares , cafés e comércio forte.A Casa tem rampa para cadeirantes e tem ar-condicionado para o verão.Os garçons são ótimos e nos dão um visão geral do Cardápio e que é temporal , podendo trocar nas trocas de Estações.Tem bons vinhos e boa cerveja (artesanal) aceita reservas e abre nos dois horários , o Cardápio é maravilhoso , tem desde pequenas entradas até prato principal , passando por saladas e lanches.Tudo muito bem apresentado e saboroso.A todos que veem ao Porto vale apena conhecer e Casa.

Their food présentation is good but not the taste.. as I am a Chinese who knew how these dishes works. The menu didn't stated clearly the ingredients. Ask before placing an order is necessary. The rice is still reasonable. Its a nice place for youngster or some Portuguese who wants to try Chinese food.

El Bao que pedí no me gustó nada era de pollo frito la pieza era muy gruesa y no estaba bien cocida, además la bola de pollo era de carne negra y muy mal elegida. La patatas fritas de boniato son las mejores que he tomado en mi vida (solo volvería para tomarlas). El postre muy regular.

What an experience that I had here! These burgers definitely exceeded my expectations when they got in my mouth. I tried the main one and the one with crab. Both awesome with different ingredients than we are used to see in a burger, however they are not very big, so I advise you to try the ships, especially, the ones of sweet potato with Wasabi mayo. When I tried these...Oh God...never had tried something like that before...Believe me, if you like the flavor of Wasabi, you will love it!
About the atmosphere, the decoration was really simple and industrial (really matches with the concept), open small kitchen and you have a 2nd floor underground.
In the end I have a complain about the staff. When I was having my lunch I could hear them talking about their lives so loud as they were talking to the whole restaurant. However the girl that attended me was really welcoming and she was very good at suggesting the dishes...gave her personal opinion which means she knows the dishes and that is really important when you are trying to sell something.
To conclude, if you like to try new things and you like the oriental food culture, you should give it a chance. And it's not very expensive at all.

Best way to describe is a big soft steamed bun (dim-sum style) taco with various types of fillings. We tried the fried chicken, pulled pork, and tofu. All good and bigger portion than we expected. Good option for this area if you want to try something different.

Muito bom!! O bao é bem fofinho, uma delícia. Os recheios também são super saborosos. Ambiente agradável e ótimo atendimento. A torta de caramelo salgado também é um item que deve ser degustado.

Very tasty bao´s! We especially loved the tofu one, so crispy jet so soft, very delicious.
The bao´s do miss some color from veggies, a bit of greens or koriander or so would be nice, now you feel you don´t get full value for money, there is something missing.
Portions are small and that make eating here quite expensive. But, would recommend because the food was very good

Really cosy Taiwanese restaurant. The food is very tasty, the staff is nice. Located in a busy pedestrian street in the city center.
I enjoyed my experience in this place and I will be coming back!
Tip: one of the veggie options, with "jaca" meat, was really great!
The tea with the jelly bubbles is also a must.

Chicken Bao, pedaço enorme de frango imensamente panado, com restos de pele, gordura e de partes que não o peito do frango.
Batata doce muito frita por fora e crua por dentro.
Não recomendo.

Gostei da comida, as doses não são muito grandes, mas para mim é suficiente. O espaço é pequeno, mas ao almoço consegue-se mesa. O atendimento é bom, mas o sistema é estranho. Temos de escolher o menu e bebidas numa lista e entregar ao balcão. Para mim este é um ponto desfavorável e o tempo que levam a explicar o processo, seria o mesmo que levavam a atender as pessoas de forma convencional.

Sono stato in questo locale per cena durante un weekend a Porto. Essendoci completamente dimenticati di prenotare un tavolo in qualche ristorante nella zona dell’hotel ci siamo messi alla ricerca di qualcuno che ci facesse sedere. E ci è andata molto bene! Questo piccolo locale offre menu veloci e gustosi in stile Thaiwanese. Ottimi i panini e i piatti più sostanziosi.
Il giorno dopo ci siamo tornati per pranzo. Anche qui bisognerebbe prenotare per cena ma abbiamo avuto un colpo di fortuna arrivando al momento giusto.
Davvero consigliato! Se amate la birra artigianale Catraio è a pochissimi passi da questo ristorante!

지나다니다가 깔끔한 음식점이 보여서 찾아봤더니 후기가 좋아 들어왔어요. 보기 쉽게 만든 간단한 메뉴들과 적당히 깔끔하고 캐주얼한 분위기. 샐러드와 메뉴판에서 첫번째 버거를 시켜서 먹었는데 생각보다 더 괜찮아서 두번째 버거도 시켰답니다. 버거 빵 자체는 약간 호빵 같은 느낌이에요. 젓가락도 주고요. 간이 쎄지 않고 좋아요. 버거는 우리가 생각하는 버거보다는 크기가 굉장히 작기 때문에 여자 혼자서도 사이드까지 포함 두 개 먹을 수 있어요. 둘러보니까 다들 그렇게 먹고 있네요:) 오래 머물거라 다음엔 밥종류를 먹으러 오렵니다. 추천해요.

Lugar pequeno, muita confusão, empregados esquecem de trazer os pedidos, não gostei de comer na montra, ou seja, estamos a comer e as pessoas na rua a nós apreciar pelo vidro (Há outros lugares sem ser na montra). O menu é apelativo na descrição mas nada de especial na apresentação real e sabor.

A relação preço/quantidade deixa muito a desejar. A qualidade dos baos é boa, mas as batatas 101 são de pacote e a mandioca frita é medíocre.
A sidra que é não alcoólica, é desapontante, e as bolas do chá boba não são de tapioca, mas uma bolsa com um xarope doce dentro.
Tem mais mentalidade de fast food do que cozinha típica tailandesa.

For the price, there little food. The cider isn't alcoholic, and wasn't announced. The boba tea has a lot of ice, and no tapioca balls, but some other balls wiht syrup inside. The chips seem frozen, and the cheese and sauce covering them where mediocre.
I might come back only to have another bao, but nothing else..

在葡萄牙稀有的台菜餐廳，傳統家鄉菜搖身變成異國漢堡，真的蠻有趣的，點了招牌傳統掛包gua bao，味道真的可以說90%一樣，讓我想家了，價錢也不太貴，單點4€元，這裡也有蘋果西打但是價錢約2.5€ 所以我考慮點啤酒也不錯，綜合來說除了傳統掛包還有很多創意掛包，不過我都沒試過哈哈，想家的台灣人可以點掛包就好，裡面的控肉真又香又嫩的！！

Food Full of sugar, salad was mostly mayo and a bit of veggies. Bun was cold and disguasting. I ordered tempura crab, which was barely noticeable in the huge amount of tempura. Moreover poor customer service, unfriendly stuff.

Ahhhh...... whoa this is good! They do take away so if you want a lunch for the Alfa Pendular train, you can do it if you want to.
If you are extremely allergic to peanuts to the point of fearing air travel, do NOT even enter this place.
However, this is some of the best bao ever. The pork belly is pretty Amazing!
I also ordered the fried chicken bao for fun and it was really super amazing! Not traditional, but that’s part of the fun.
I want to come back... I will come back!

O atendimento foi bom, o espaço é agradável e acolhedor, permite a entrada de animais no entanto, a comida, na minha opinião, deixa um bocado a desejar.
O Jack Bao apesar de dar ênfase ao molho agridoce BBQ, não é de todo agridoce, é apenas doce. A quantidade de carne desfiada não era muita.
O Chicken Bao tinha um pedaço de frango bastante bom, contudo um pouco grande demais para a massa que o envolvia.
A Sidra é não-alcoolica (e não tem essa indicação no menu) e é à base de caramelo, que a torna bastante doce e não combina com o tema asiático que tende a ser agridoce.
A massa dos Bao's é muito boa mas a relação preço/qualidade/quantidade é muito fraca. A conta foi de quase 20€ com apenas 2 Bao's, 2 bebidas e umas batatas com queijo (que estavam um pouco fritas demais).

Nicht erwartet aber guter Geschmack. Reis mit Fleisch war sehr gut, obwohl es ein bisschen salzig war. Man muss denken, die portugiesische Gerichte sind nicht salzig. Würde andere Gerichte auch mal probieren.

Nous avons testé leurs "burgers" : des petits pains briochés façon asiatique (sucrés) remplis de produits variés. Tout est préparé à la commande. Les produits semblent frais. The traditional bao with the pork belly is just awesome. Was in Taiwan a few years ago and tried that for the first time so I was thrilled to eat some in my home town. Better than expected. It is quite unique in Porto. Fair prices and friendly staff.

Fantastic food, sensibly priced. Having spent three weeks in Porto, I can comfortably put it in my top 3 meals I've had in the city. Definitely try the boba, and if you're feeling hungry, don't be afraid to order two or more "bao burgers". It would be nice if their card machine could take non-Portuguese cards though!

As a Taiwanese, I can tell that this is AMAZING!!!!
Definitely worth trying in Porto and you'd want to really come to Taiwan just to taste all the tasty food alike and enjoy the beautiful country. Vegan options available and the tofu bao has a very authentic similar taste to its original meat version. I can't recommend more, just come!

I got the chicken Bao sandwich, honestly it did not have much flavor at all. Also I got the chips, that were extremely oily I only maybe ate a handful. I told the server that they were oily and all she said was sorry and didn’t even suggest getting me another batch. I paid about 10 euros, but it was not worth it. I certainly would never eat there again, and wouldn’t recommend this place to a friend .
The staff was quite friendly but my overall experience was not good.

Incentive experience from start to finish! Soft, fresh and steamy bao... crispy chicken bao to die for! Their signature pork belly bao is a staple and AMAZING value for money. Anyways, everything was super fresh as per usual but sincerely better than pre-covid just saying! Service always outstanding as per usual! If you’re craving bao this is THE place. Thank you!!

Okay, friends recommended this place to us. Seems to be a really popular place for lunch. Bi-lingual menus and the staff are really friendly. The food was quick to come and delicious. The crab bao is out of this world. We didn't get to try the ice cream bao as had to run and catch the train. We'll be back in Porto in the future and will visit again.

Totally surprised to find Taiwanese Bao here; had to give it a try being from Taiwan. The Pork gua-bao pretty decent, the meat was tender, however too much of it, flavor of sandwich could be balanced out with more picked veggies or shredded stir-fried cabbage + carrots.
But the service was friendly, glad it’s around in Porto.

Stumbled across taiwanese bao in Porto!! Who would’ve thought. This place was right around the corner from our hotel, so we of course couldn’t resist! Cash only, fast service, and the baos really aren’t horrible! Of course, they are only as “authentic” as you can get in Portugal, but it was a nice change from the Portguese cuisine! Stick with the safe bao options such as fried chicken or pulled pork. Would however, skip the bubble tea next time!

Bao so good two is not enough.. well executed fillings, from the pulled pork to the soft shell crab all generously pilled in the delicate soft bao bun. Save room for the peanut icecream bao.

I tried both Pork pulled bao and beef noodle soup. I wish pork pulled bao was a little bigger. I felt like it is a little small. I just don't want it to finish. :) It was very soft and tasty. Beef noodle soup was big enough as a portion but it was too spicy for my taste. It was a nice experience and I enjoyed it. You should try it too.

As a Portuguese living for a long time in Taiwan, I fail to understand how they can sell any of this. The strangest lu rou fan I had in my life, and one I fail to be able to eat. Too much salt. Same for the sweet potato fries....

Bao's is such a good place to get together with a friend for having a nice food experience in a relaxed atmosphere! The Bao was great,i not that big so it's a nice chance to try more than one. The infusions are very tasty and also really fun to drink due to the jelly bubbles!! The side dishes are a must, fried manioc and sweet potatoes are really crunchy! The 101 dressing is insanely good (I had it on the fries) and they have also beers and wine. Also veggie and vegan options available (Tofu bao is delicious and they have more varieties). The prices are fair and the staff is attentive and passionate about what they do. Plus: the playlist is so cool: soft rock from the 90's and 00's. I definitely recommend it!

As a Taiwanese, I personally don’t prefer to this kind of dish in Taiwan. But the Taiwanese burger here really taste good and French fries with unique pickle topping which gave unique flavor. And they also sell apple soda which is only available in Taiwan, I recommend to order this drink too :)

A qualidade dos baos oscila. O de bacalhau estava extremamente salgado na última visita. O de barriga de porco é muito bom e com pimenta na medida certa.
O sorvete de sésamo é interessante. A tarte de chocolate estava congelada. Eles deram a opção de esquenta-la ou devolver o dinheiro.

There are cheaper options, but this is a unique and tasty bao restaurant. The fried chicken and pork belly bao were especially good. The sweet potato fries are a great side and I recommend getting some of the chili sauce for dipping.

Traditional pork bao was delicious but it was very very expensive for Porto ... and not worth it. The cod bao was rather weird and I wouldn’t order again. The mango iced tea had too many large ice pieces.
Biggest complaint is all meals and drinks some in throw away plastic cups and disposable plates etc. bad for the environment and at this price - can’t they afford to do the dishes.

The Bao Burger was okay. The veggie burger could have had some more greens and was a bit dry.
But what’s not okay is that everything was served on plastic and paper plates ect... in a DINE IN restaurant you could expect that there are normal plates and not a mountain of rubbish on the table after the meal.

I loved this place and went 4 times during my 2 week holiday in Porto. I would definitely recommend the cured and roasted pork leg dish if you are visiting here. You must book 24 hours in advance as it takes 18 hours to prepare! The baos were wonderful as well.

Endroit sympa ! J'ai mangé un bol de riz avec viande et je l'ai trouvé plutôt bon mais un peu salé. Concernant les bao, je suis mitigée, je n'ai pas trouvé cela incroyable. C'était bon mais pas dingue. Par contre j'ai beaucoup aimé les frites de patate douce avec mayo au wasabi ! Super bon et pas hyper fort.

El personal muy amable, local acogedor, muy limpio, la comida excepcional. Comimos dos bocaditos riquísimos de ternera y de cerdo, acompañados, de patatas y refrescos. Los postres sublimes, tarta de chocolate con galleta salada y un brownie que me recuerda más a un suflé, con un helado de frutos rojos con una textura y un sabor espectaculares.

Autant vous le dire, le lieu propose d'excellents Baos, mention spécial pour le bao bœuf avec des patates douces à la mayo Wasabi (mais non piquant !)
La commande se fait sur feuille dans votre coin avec deux possibilités : soit une carte en anglais, soit en portugais.
Pour les tarifs : entre 4€ et 5,5€ le Bao, 3€ la portion de frite, 1,5€ la bière.
Testez le, vous ne serez pas déçu : Bon, au bon prix !

Incredible experience at this amazing restaurant. They had a great selection of Bao's and incredible desserts. I also really enjoyed the way we ordered the food, as it felt more personal with the chef. I would highly recommend the pulled pork bao, as well as the magno ice cream.

Can someone tell me why I can pay with UK visa at the food place round the corner that has a red visa payment handset.... but these guys say the red handset doesn't work for UK and they wont let me try to make visa payment on it ?

Fries come with cheese and other sauces (cheese & pink mayo) - so ask for no topping if you want fries without sauce.
Also ordered x2 of one item, but this didn't arrive, yet was included on the bill (which was taken off the bill when asked - is this why the visa handset doesn't work ????)

Very delicious food and a very busy place, so I recommend to book a table. It is a very good choice for people with food allergies as the menu already states which dishes contain any allergens. In my case of being celiac and being in need of a gluten free diet, I had enough options to choose from and the staff was very well informed. The sweet potato chips are a must! And there are also rice bowls, normal chips or soups you may choose from.

Comi o tão famoso BAO de Caranguejo, achei o tamanho extremamente pequeno e o sabor não fez meus olhos brilharem de alegria...
Fui esperando mais sabor e um tamanho maior.
O ambiente e o atendimento são muito bons e agradáveis.
Mas infelizmente o preço não é condizente com o produto, tamanho e sabor entregues. Esperava uma experiência melhor. Paguei 20 euros por um BAO de Caranguejo, um BAO de Porco, um copo de cerveja, uma lata de sidra e uma porção pequena de batata frita.
Nas fotos o BAO e a porção de fritas parecem bem maiores do que realmente são.

Despite the sign on the door saying they are vegan-friendly, went there on a Sunday afternoon and had a pretty different experience. Asked for the tofu and jackfruit burgers and the french fries. My friend and I specifically told the waiter we are vegans and didn't want any cheese on our fries. After waiting about twenty min for our food (although the place was empty) we got these really small burgers that just didn't justify the price and soggy fries covered in mayonnaise. We kindly asked them to replace the fries (because, clearly, mayonnaise is far from being vegan), for what the waiter replied: "we can't take this back, but you can eat the fries that are on the bottom, the ones that the mayonnaise haven't touched". We left the place pretty hungry and had to look for another place to have a proper lunch. Worst money spent in Porto.

O bubble tea não é de bolas de mandioca como e original no Taiwan
Os arrozes não teem alimentos típicos nem o sabor / molhos.
Os baos são bons mas mais uma vez em nada tiveram haver com aquilo que experimentei no taiwan ( não experimentei o bao de porco)
Gostei dos baos, sabiam muito bem, mas para quem procura um restaurante com sabores autênticos taiwaneses para matar saudades de uma viagem que tenha feito ao taiwan, infelizmente este não foi o lugar.
Aconselho no futuro a usar ovos cozidos em chá preto, frango com canela, talvez fazer baos com feijão vermelho doce como e tipico lá. E o bubble tea com bolas de mandioca.
Falta de opção de pratos de ramen vegetarianos / para quem não coma carne vermelha.

Muito má coordenação das reservas que obriga os clientes a esperar
(pacientemente e de cara alegre) meia hora ao ar livre (5ºC) e depois os despacha dizendo alto e bom som que a nossa mesa já está de saída enquanto ainda estamos a acabar as sobremesas.
Relação qualidade e quantidade / preço desajustada. Espaço exíguo.
Um espaço que aspira ao gourmet mas sem condições físicas e humanas para tal. Gourmet não é isto. É outra coisa que, por vezes, até nos espaços mais humildes se encontra.
A segunda estrela que atribuo é pelo atendimento de um senhor de barba que era, de facto, competente e simpático.

Entrée dans le restaurant : prise en charge rapide mais froide par la serveuse. J'ai pris à emporter , ce qui n'a rien arrangé dans la chaleur du service. Je n'existe plus apparemment. Au final, je sors avec ma commande, surtaxée car à emporter. Passe encore pour la surtaxe, mais j'aurais aimé qu'on me le dise où que ça soit indiqué dans le restaurant. Je goûte mon repas ... Et bof. Le goût est OK, mais rien de démentiel. Bref, déçu de part en part. Froid, cher, pas très bon. Piège à touristes qui ne risque pas de me revoir ! 바오는 처음 먹어봤는데 재밌는 음식이네요. 우연히 우픈하자마자 먹게 되어서 기다리지 않았어요. 근처 직장인들에게 인기있는 트렌디한 곳인것 같아요. 근데 다들 하나씩만 드시더라구요. 저는 혼자 샐러드에 바오 두개 해치움. 치킨바오 있는데 뭔가 간안된 한국식 치킨 맛이에요. 맛은 적당히 괜찮습니다.

Tried the Rota Das Tapas bao which is the first one on the menu, pork belly. The flavors were amazing, I wish they had a bit more filling though.
