Du très bon fado à mon goût. On ne mange pas et on fait silence pour écouter la prestation entre les plats. Ce qui est appréciable. La table est bonne et les vin aussi. Il faut réserver.

Foi uma noite espectacular. Fomos muito bem atendidos pelo Carlos que fala perfeitamente francês, inglês e português. Fomos jantar 2 casais, provamos a carne e a bacalhau, ambos são muito bons. Gostamos também do vinho alentejano, especialmente branco.
A experiência do fado foi incrível, tivemos todos uma experiência muito privilegiada.
Obrigado por todo, recomendo.

Nous cherchions un Fado sur Porto et nous sommes tombés sur cette adresse. Une merveille !
Un menu unique à 35€ comprenant eau, vin, entrées, plat et dessert en plus de plusieurs “pauses” fado entre les plats. Serveurs sympathiques et repas de qualité, le tout dans une ambiance intimiste.
Bref une adresse à retenir !

Très belle découverte. Bon repas. On voulait découvrir le Fado et surtout avec le ressenti que ce soit authentique et pas touristique: ça a été le cas .

Repas très bon. Fado splendide. Serveurs aimables. Juste qu'en réservant sur le site, il n'était pas indiqué qu'il n'y avait qu'un menu unique, 3 services pour 35 eur. Cependant, il valait largement son prix.

Mala experiencia. Sobretodo a nivel culinario. Los primeros fueron pasables los pimientos padrón espectaculares. Pero el bacalao de segundo. Horroroso ninguna de las cinco se lo pudo comer. El peor bacalao de mi vida.
Los fados, bien, buenos cantantes, para mi gusto casi 20 fados mientras cenas, son demasiados.
No volvería. No tengo fotos. Casi toda cena sin luz.

Ne vous fiez pas aux apparences de l'entrée car ça ne paye vraiment pas de mine !!!
En réalité, nous avons passé une superbe soirée, le local est très beau, les assiettes copieux, les chants Fado magnifique et par conséquent le concept TOP.
Le concept découverte du style Fado et d'une très bonne assiette fonctionne à la perfection.

Excellent accueil, bon musiciens, 3 chanteurs de fado se relaient entre les entrées, plats et desserts du menu de cette petite taverne, pour faire monter la mélancolie et l'émotion. Parfait mélange de styles, pour une soirée inoubliable, très intime et chaleureuse.

The food was nice and the performers even nicer. It would've been nice to know before I went that the performances may last for a while and that it's only after each one that the next dish is served. However, I may be from the more impatient end of the spectrum. Would go again!

This was a fantastic experience. Thought it would be too much for tourists but I was pleasantly surprised. Food was good and the musical experience full of surprises. As for the staff I am speechless, in a good way of course.

The fado experience was alright but didn't make up for the food. I had octopus which was very chewy and served with potato chips. Awful pairing. To top it off, the menu is very expensive.

We were looking for an intimate Fado experience and were very lucky to find this place. The performers were fabulous, the food was good (the clams were awesome!), and the service was excellent. Not a cheap option but not super expensive either, and worth every cent. Loved it!

Nous avons passé une très belle soirée !! Nous avons très bien mangé et le personnel est compétent et acceuillant. Le fait que nous ayons étaient proche de la chanteuse de fado a rendu la soirée magique!!

Great place for Fado, and the food is excellent as well! Music is performed in 15-20 minute intervals - you have to listen in silence - with 20-25 minute breaks when you can eat and converse. It's an awesome, unique experience

A bit overhyped place, IMHO. Reservation is definitely needed, 70.- EUR is the minimum consumption (for 2 persons) but no entrance fee. Real fado, not like in the Vila Nova de Gaia cellars. Still, only 4 out of 5 stars. Place is a little bit snobbish but has a good athmosphere. Definitely worth a visit.

Num ambiente em que tudo respira fado, a simpatia do pessoal combina com a boa comida e a boa música. Não decorei o nome dos guitarristas nem dos artistas, mas uma coisa é certa, tive uma noite como há muito não tinha.
Não é preciso ir a Lisboa para se ouvir fado de qualidade. Parabéns a todo o pessoal desta linda e acolhedora casa.

Menu très copieux composés de plusieurs assortiments locaux en entrée. La viande était excellente. Notre soirée s'est faite au rythme du fado dans un cadre magnifique avec un personnel parlant français et étant aux petits soins. J'ai été très agreablement surpris et je recommande fortement ce restaurant.

Amazing dinner experience. You can expect the following: a fado as opener, before appetizers. Then main course is served, which is followed again by fado, then dessert with fado after it and café/spirits to be closed with another fado performance. Singers also shift in between performances. Totally recommended!

We spent a lovely evening here, with a set menu dinner interspersed with fantastic Fado performances. The food was very good and reasonably priced and the performances made it a real occasion. The staff were friendly and efficient. I’d highly recommend visiting for an evening of Portuguese food and culture!

가격은 적당했지만 음식이 잘못들어간 주문으로 인하여 파두 음악이 다시 시작될때 식사할 수 있었습니다. 실수가 있을 수 있지만 문제는 그 후 직원들의 태도에 있었습니다. 입으로는 미안하다고 하지만 표정이나 태도는 전혀 아니었습니다. 하지만 주인이 후에 와서 충분한 사과와 보상을 해주었습니다.

Casa ma-ra-vi-lho-sa, adoramos do começo ao fim. Tudo muito bem organizado para que tivéssemos uma ótima noite. Ótima comida, servida de maneira intercalada com o show, ótimos cantores, ótimos músicos, músicas muito bem escolhidas, enfim...recomendamos a casa ( alías, estivemos em várias casas , em vários lugares de Portugal ,tanto no Porto, quanto em Coimbra, quanto em Lisboa e esta é a ainda a nossa preferida). Lloc senzill i petit però correcte per anar a escoltar fados mentre estàs sopant. El menú és tancat i està bé amb l’opció de triar el plat principal i els postres entre 3 opcions. Fados a dojo i ben interpretats pels dos músics i els tres cantants. Els sopar més l’espectacle dura entre 4 i 5 hores. Preu adequat.

Very nice evening. I did not know what to expect, and to be honest, the music was much more upbeat than I anticipated. Ended up having a fantastic and memorable final night in Porto.
The hosts genuinely gave it their all, and you could feel the dedication to their craft throughout. Exhibited a nice variety of Fado styles and singers, so it kept things fresh and entertaining.
The only thing I may warn travelers about is to not plan anything early the next day as you will certainly be entertained until the early morning hours. You get your money's worth here! Thanks for the great night everyone!

Excellente soirée. Très bon repas, tout est compris de l'entrée au dessert vin au choix tinto ou blanco, eau pain café avec choix viande ou poisson pour le plat principal et c'est très bon. 35€ par personne spectacle de fado inclus prix très correct. Musicien, chanteuse et chanteurs sont excellents, de sacrés guitaristes. Je recommande, nous avons passés une super bonne soirée, le tout est très bien organisé spectacle fado entre chaque plat dans un très bon timing...

J'ai fait ce restaurant pendant ce mois de Septembre 2019 et je le recommande vivement, le personnel était très agréable étant français le patron (je suppose) à prit le temps de nous expliquer dans notre langue. Les chanteurs de Fado ont de très belle voix et le repas était vraiment bon !!
J'aurais noté plus 4,5/5 pour le seul défaut que j'ai trouver qui était que la salle était un peu petite et du coup beaucoup de bruit quand les chanteur interprète leur morceau car ils ont beaucoup de voix..
Mais dans la globalité le 5 est mérité.

We had such a beautiful night!
The setting is intimate, the food and the wine are superb, the service is top notch, and last but certainly not least, the music was absolutely splendid. The musicians and singers (one of whom was our excellent waiter!) are truly gifted. We were moved to tears.
Thank you for an excellent evening to all of the team! I more than recommend this restaurant/venue if you are looking for authentic Fado and a good restaurant!

Si vous voulez assister à une vraie soirée Fado à Porto, c’est l’endroit qu’il vous faut. Propriétaire passionné par cette musique, équipe très professionnelle et sympathique et un spectacle de haut niveau. Les plats sont honorables pour un restaurant à thème. Je recommande vivement.

Ha sido una velada estupenda, el personal es educado servicial y la música en directo es maravillosa que más se puede pedir.
La comida pasa a un segundo plano aunque ésta es de calidad. Solo con escuchar y sentir el fado en vivo ya vale la pena estar sentado en un sitio acogedor como en el salón de tu casa. Una agradable elección.

the food is good but the real draw is the amazing music. the Fado is treated with great respect here so be sure you're ready to wait 30-45 minutes between courses because you don't eat while the musicians are performing. we saw 3 different performers, 2 of whom also served the tables. we ended up staying for almost 4 hours and had an amazing time.

Muy caro. Puedes comer mucho mejor por mucho menos en cualquier sitio de Oporto. No obstante hace espectáculo cada quiche minutos durante las cenas de los fines de semana. Salen a cantar tanto hombres como mujeres acompañados por instrumentos típicos de la zona. Vale la pena aunque no repetiría.

You have to arrive here 08:00 pm sharply! Because you have to order the entry, main plate all at once! Because the waiters are the singers so they will serve you in the breaks between the presentations!
The food wasn’t so great! My octopus was cold, and chewy, unfortunately!
The wine was good, and I got drunk indeed, because it was good tasting!
The deserts were amazing! Recommend the cheesecake!

Slow service. More than 1 hour to serve a simple soup. They don't warn for the waiting time, also I complained for it to the boss and he didn't apologised, he argued "thats a fado tabern"... Great! Finally after 1 hour, we left the restaurant without take the dinner. Worst experience ever.

One of our most unfortunate experience in Portugal. We reserved a table for two, the food was very expensive compared to the portions and the quality, the service was one of the worst that I ever had. I just wanted to leave.
We got with a reservation, table for two. We noticed that the one waiter had allot of pressure so we were patient at the beginning. We waited 15 minutes just to get a menu, no one even talked to use till I finally asked for menu and the barman told us that there's actually no menus available in the restaurant. After a long time the waiter finally came, didn't even apologised, and made me feel like a cheap person when I tried to figure out a portion of a certain dish, we were so hungry and we just wanted to know the size. After a long waiting we got the starter which was nice. Afterwards the fado show started and it was the only good thing in this place. We waited non less than two whole hours for our main dishes, we were starving by than, just wanted to eat and leave, the food was just ok, very expensive compared to the price and service, the waiter gave us the bill with a phone in his ear, completely ignoring us.

The fado was great, the food scrumptious, but the service staff made my party feel a bit uncomfortable. Still a cute quaint place without a cover charge for their fado.

We weren't familiar with Fado music, but were blown away by the powerful, soulful singers. The food was quite nice.
The negative reviews here seem to be from people who didn't realize this is a music venue with food, as opposed to a typical restaurant with music on the side. A bit unfair to mark them down because the music interfered with the dining experience.
There were several singers, each of which came up for several sets of 4 songs. In between these sets the staff took orders, brought out food and drinks, etc. During the performances the lights are brought down, and patrons eat and drink, but are discouraged from talking and carrying on.
This is a lovely taste of local, traditional music from excellent performers.

Alors sur le conseil d'un portugais vivant en France et rencontré ce matin aux caves Calem, nous voilà partis réserver notre soirée
Quel plaisir que d'avoir pu assister à ces chants traditionnels accompagnés de guitare classique et de guitare portugaise
Le repas est rythmé par les sessions musicales : on mange pendant la pause des musiciens
Nous avons apprécié le personnel qui nous a accueilli et servi, le repas (qui propose des offres veggie) mais aussi la musique et les chants
Une culture se découvre aussi par ces chants et sa musique

Such a wonderful experience sitting right next to the (very talented) Fado performers. The food was excellent as well. Highly recommend!

If you don't know what Fado is, better no stop in there!
Tourist trap!
Don't expect to find a real authentic Food. Long waiting for food to come ! Also quite expensive!

Don't expect to go to this restaurant for a nice meal and a conversation with your friend.
This is a full on "fado" place so no talking allowed during performance...... and expect a sneaky CD on the table for an extra 12€ at the end on the night!!

This was the highlight of our trip to Porto. An excellent meal aside, the performances were incredible. Christina perfoms very passionately and the house staff is very friendly. Well worth dedicating an evening in Porto.

Excellent night's entertainment and good food. We got there late but even when we where the only ones left the musicians played till 1:00 am - absolutely brilliant!

Situado em zona historica, com o ambiente ideal para escutar fado. pedimos bacalhau - estava otimo; o novilho, cozinhado no ponto, tenro e saboroso, batatas fritas douradinhas e caseiras. Guitarristas virtuosos e fadistas com alma. Excelente momento. Casa recém aberta mas a que desejo as maiores felicidades por se tratar de projeto honesto e de qualidade.

Espaço muito acolhedor, onde é possível saborear excelente comida, ao mesmo tempo que se aprecia o nosso fado. O menu inclui várias opções gastronómicas, inclusive vegetarianas, para abranger todos os gostos. Recomendo!!!

Passamos uma excelente noite! Adoramos a comida e os fadistas eram de muito boa qualidade. O ideal é fazer reserva pois a casa estava cheia e foram muitos que queriam mesa e não conseguiram!
