We loved our meal as everything was delicious!! It’s a cute little place with great music and decor. The three of us ordered the cod, peppers, duck, chorizo, prawns, mushrooms and the lime pie for dessert..sounds a little much for 3 people but we absolutely loved the dishes as the flavors were amazing! We found the prices very reasonable when compared to London.
Highly recommend this place!

A wonderful evening with friends, excellent service and a very relaxed atmosphere. Would definitely go back. Food was delicious in a tapas style with awesome wine to go with it. One of our party was vegan and they created a dish for him which was a very kind gesture!

Das kleine Restaurant im 1. Stock mag auf den ersten (und auch auf den zweiten) Blick etwas zusammengewürfelt erscheinen, doch hat es einen überragenden Charme, unterstrichen durch die sehr nette Bewirtung!
Man sollte (und darf) sich schon etwas Zeit nehmen, um auf die außergewöhnlichen Kleinigkeiten der Einrichtung und die etwas andere Auswahl der Speisen und Getränke aufmerksam zu werden, die sich angenehm vom großen Rest ringsherum abheben!
Ach ja: das Essen war ebenso fein, wie alles andere. Hier werde ich an meinem letzten Urlaubstag gerne noch einmal ausführlicher speisen!

One of the best food we had in Porto! The chef puts her heart in the food, you can taste her efforts. The waiter serves really well, such a cozy and warm family atmosphere, highly recommended!

Once again I find this place great! Beautiful food done with soul, the music and decoration and the warmest from who's is serving. The good music, no tv ( what is rare ) the pictures on the walls and because it was a home in the pass you feel you are inside a Porto house even you can choose wich room you prefer to stay. Place to go many times!

Family runned small restaurant with fantastic atmosphere and food. I had the codfish dish which was the best I had in Portugal. If you have the problem to enter those popular restaurants, this one is a great alternative option

Some of the best food I have ever eaten. Great atmosphere and service, though the owner was rushed off his feet, was still great and he was very clear about us having to wait. Wish I got a chance to tell the chef how wonderful her cooking was!

The best food that my fiance and I had in Porto. Cozy and charming atmosphere. Perfect for a romantic dinner. The owner/waiter was very friendly and nice. The food was truly delicious - appetizers, tapas, and desserts. MUST try the rebucados de alheira (traditional sausage in filo dough) and also the chocolate mousse. Some of the best food I have ever had. We will tell all of our friends/family about this place. Tabernas dos esquecidos is a hidden gem!

Such a beautiful unique and cosy place. Up some stairs on a street that is filled with bars. The calm atmosphere welcomes you, the good service and the amazing food will make you stay. (The price is also very reasonable )

Dommage que l'on ne puisse pas mettre plus que 5 étoiles... Lieu sans pretention de l extérieur, mais plats succulents, un vrai regal, d une finesse et d une qualité rare. J ai testé quasiment toute la carte sans jamais avoir été déçu. Le canard aux capres est délicieux et la tarte au citron est tout simplement la meilleure au monde ! Tout est fait sur commande, il faut donc parfois un peu de patience, mais pour des plats si merveilleux, j ai tout mon temps.
L ambiance est cosy et agréable. J y retournerai sans faute

La nourriture est divine mais le service extrêmement lent et les portions un peu légères. En revanche, c'est le meilleur rapport qualité/prix de tout Porto !

A superb typically Portuguese tavern. Excellent dishes: grilled sausages, garnished mushrooms, beef mix - delicious mash, shrimps in sauce, desserts and wines, it was magic! we spent a pleasant evening with family, and the staff are lovely. we really recommend you!

Nous avons passés un superbe moment dans ce restaurant tenu par un couple qui ne se moque pas de ses clients tant par la qualité des produits choisis que les vins.Attention on peut passer devant ce resto sans les voir.Alors levé la tête et vous les trouverez.Vraiment on oublie pas cette adresse.

Comida de 10: raciones sabrosas y de pequeña cantidad pero a muy buen precio. Postres muy recomendables. La única pega: el tiempo de espera para empezar a comer es muy largo, aunque una vez empiezas la comida es fluida.

Das Essen war richtig lecker und die Bedienung sehr zuvorkommend und nett, würde dort jederzeit wieder hin. Das Restaurant is von außen total unscheinbar, aber innen sehr liebevoll eingerichtet - schlichter & eleganter Stiel in ruhiger Atmosphäre.

La comida bueniiiisima, todos los platos son excelentes. Las raciones bastante pequeñas, pero relación calidad-precio está muy bien. Ambiente muy acogedor, eran pocas mesas pero también pocas personas trabajando. Servicio un poco lento.

Ristorante davvero meraviglioso e particolare.
Si entra salendo due rampe di scale che portano a una serie di stanzette dall'atmosfera romantica e accogliente.
Tavoli illuminati da carinissimi lampadari e piatti e bicchieri tutti diversi.
Serve ai tavoli un signore gentile e con il sorriso sempre pronto.
Il cibo buonissimo, il miglior pasto di tutta la nostra permanenza a Porto.
Una menzione speciale per la torta al limone!

Super cozy place. This is an Old house turned into a lovely restaurant with small areas in a dimmed light environment. I just felt at home, relaxed. The tapas were very good. It's on par with the pricing for this type of food. More than the meal, I guess it was the experience.

Really nice little tapas bar with a friendly owner and great decor/ambience.
We had 5 people and ordered 10 tapas, which was more than enough.
The stuffed mushrooms were the favourite, the codfish (pie) and duck magret were really good too.
Prices were extremely reasonable.
Would recommend this to anyone

Comida muy escasa. Precio excesivo. No se lo cree que ni el que por 15 euros persona se come...tuvimos que ir luego a una pizzería. Sólo se salva la música y el ambiente. Es imposible que un bar como este tenga 4.9 estrellas. Yo no le daba ni 2

Une très bonne expérience culinaire (cuisine maison) . Des portions suffisantes à partager et les desserts sont vraiment divins. L endroit est atypique , ambiance tamisée et cosy. Le gérant qui est également le serveur et d'une très grande gentillesse et parle plusieurs langues dont le français. Je recommande fortement cet endroit.

Découvert par hasard, super petit resto intimiste à l'ambiance suave tamisée. Accueil très sympathique et... en français ! Nombreuses tapas délicieuses dont plusieurs spécialités de la région. Vin délicieux. Rapport qualité/prix impeccable. Nous étions arrivés les premiers (20h) mais la petite salle s'est rapidement remplie pour ne plus desemplir ! Peut être légèrement victime de son succès, la -petite- équipe semblait avoir un peu de mal à suivre (nos voisins ont semblé attendre assez longtemps avant d'être servis...)

Really cute family-runned tapas bar which also has a couple of bigger dishes to order. Small menu with really good portuguese food and high quality ingredients, all cooked by the owners' wife.
The only thing where you could complain is the waiting time (which is a general portuguese problem): The owner is the only waiter and was really busy. But if you are okay with drinking a couple of glasses freshly made sangria or good wine before eating, definitly go there!
