It's a nice place but you will have a better experience at Portughandi (they are both from the same owner).

Quite charming and comely interiors with it's cafe like vibe and tiny size. I can't vouch for other food items but ordered a Thali and it was the most mediocre Indian food I've had anywhere in the world. Both taste and content wise. Also, it was far more expensive than other non Indian (and bigger/better) restaurants in Porto. I don't mind the price but atleast it should be justified. Waited upwards of 30 mins for the food. The hospitality and customer-relationship was non-existent with no interaction or greetings. The 2 guys in the kitchen one of whom was the owner I assume just stared at me a few times while I ate; without a smile. That felt annoying. The girl working there was non communicative but seemed friendly.

Já estive mais que uma vez na Índia e posso afirmar que tudo o que provei estava muito bem cozinhado, por isso, regressarei, sem dúvida. Como fui bastante cedo, não tive qualquer problema, nem quanto ao atendimento, nem quanto aos ruídos de fundo. Os "biryanis" são feitos demoradamente, como no Pundjab. Pormenor que nem todos conhecerão, achando que o atendimento foi muito demorado. Aconselho calma, como se estivessem na Índia.

Really good food, you might think the portions are small or the price is high but it’s really worth it and we come getting back here. Best Indian in town.

Arrived for lunch at 2:45pm and were turned away by the staff because the kitchen closes at 3pm? Was looking forward to trying this place, definitely not a good first impression.

Bel puri & pani puri was decent. Naan with cheese was delish! Must try! Typically European influence, South Africans have no idea! Chicken madras was tasty and might be hot if you’re not used to chilli. Prawn curry with potatoes was amazing and also might be hot if your not used to chilli once again. Absolutely delicious food for what was meant to be only for starters. Would recommend this to any curry lover - authentic, flavourfill.

the one star, is for the ambience, and lovely interiors. I walked in and the waitress got me some papad and chutney, I told her I just walked in and didn’t order anything yet, she smiled, obviously implying it’s complimentry. I ordered for chicken biryani, what came was a small plate crowded with food, the onions were burnt, the oil used tasted kind of stale, and overall, for the food, I’d give a 1 star (because I was hungry) When the bill arrives the waiter has the audacity to ask me how the food was, I’m generally polite and I told her it was fine. What triggered me to write this review is, when the bill arrived, they charged me for the supposedly complimentary food. Initially I didn’t notice and paid it, when I looked at the bill and asked her why she’d charge me for it, she points at her boss and tells me it’s his order that I be charged for it. The owner has no stable mind, I should have walked out the moment I saw not one customer inside. Public relations- zero. He stayed behind the counter and watched. Overall a negatively starred experience

A comida é a única coisa boa deste restaurante, e ainda assim não é a melhor comida indiana do Porto. O serviço é péssimo. Depois de comermos as entradas esperamos mais de 1 hora pela comida e fomos servidos muito mais tarde do que pessoas q chegaram depois de nós. O espaço tem a música muito alta e nem dá para conversar sem berrar. Também é muito frio pois a porta não fecha bem e estamos sempre a apanhar com o frio gelado da rua nas costas.

Bollywood street food was the most flavorful food we had in Porto. The portions are a good size and could be shared- though we made 2 meals out of it. The chicken masala was incredibly tender and their samosas were crisp and delish. I would eat here every night next time we were in Porto it was so consistently good.

Gostei. Caril de cordeiro cremoso e rico de sabor, arroz solto e bem confeccionado. Ambiente simples e verdadeiro, preço justo.

Gostei desta primeira experiência neste pequeno restaurante, embora estivesse demasiado ruído (pessoas a falar alto, música) o que faz com que se continue a falar alto e o restaurante mais pareça uma cantina. O espaço está giro, gosto da decoração. O staff foi atencioso no atendimento tirando qualquer dúvida relativamente à ementa e pareceram-me bem dispostos. A comida estava boa, gostei. Talvez volte para experimentar outros pratos e outra atmosfera.

En primer lugar no puedo opinar sobre la comida, tras esperar una hora y media, el camarero nos explica de muy malas maneras que ha perdido la comanda, decidimos marcharnos sin cenar. El trato ha sido horrible no solo con nosotros sino con el resto de clientes, una chica abrio la puerta del restaurante y calló un cristal sobre la cabeza de otra clienta, la reaccion del camarero fué enfadarse y no disculparse. No lo recomiendo. Los argumentos del camarero en todo momento fueron que estaba muy estresado, cuando el local tan solo tenia 4 mesas.

Some of the best Indian food I've tasted outside of India (and I am Indian). It may look understated from the street (no fancy signs or 'in your' face decor) but inside it is a little gem with vibrant retro Hindi film posters and subtle cultural ornaments from back home. The chicken tikka masala and saag aloo that I shared with my partner were authentic and flavoursome and the gulab jamun was truly the 'real deal' as far as Indian food in Europe goes. It was good value, good service and conveniently located. Thank you for a great meal! I wish you every success.

Great food and excellent service. Would recommend anyone who fancies 'home' cooked indian food away from home! Friendly atmosphere!

Kind of mixed feelings about this one. I’ve been here twice actually as not too many Indian restaurants in Porto. First time was amazing. Lots of veggie options as expected! Good flavour, could be spicier but no issues. Went again recently on a Saturday night and was told they were sold out of almost everything... So we got starters and after one hour later the mains arrived. I got Chana Masala but it arrived really watery and weak. Was not impressed, but hungry so ate. On the way out from the toilet I glanced around to the kitchen and was SHOOK at the state of it... bagpacks and coats thrown into shelving. Food all over the floor and bottles and cans stuffed all over the place. Things were even stored under the fridge. I really hope this was just a bad night and does not represent the hygiene of the kitchen in general. Don’t think I will come back after that.

FOOD POISONING. ENVENENAMENTO ALIMENTAR. BEWARE. My husband and I ordered 3 entrees, all of which took hours to come out. We spent over 3 hours at the restaurant when we only ordered a few things. The waitress gave herself a tip of 36% then passed it off as “tax” when questioned about it. On top of all of that, it gave us food poisoning.

Seriously good food - just like back home. We loved the casual yet cosy atmosphere and the music was awesome too. We’ll be coming here often!

Amazing Indian Food but the Tea, I can bet you, you will not found this amazing tea in whole Porto for sure.

The food was absolutely wonderful from preparation to presentation , very pleasing. The food was fresh and aroma was awesome. add this to the best dinning view. And staff was very kind and helpful . Everything was perfect.

This is one of the best places I ate in Porto, you have a wide variety of options and flavors. I've been twice and the attention was always good, we ask to the waitress some suggestions in our menu and she was delighted to, as well as explain us how you have to properly eat some of them.

Le pire indien que je n’ai jamais fait ! 1h pour avoir mon plat, des portions ridicules mais surtout tout était fade. Sans oublier des prix bien trop élevé. Ne pas y aller!

Decent food with high prices and small servings... it really is just a taste. Also quite a small seating area and no high chairs; not recommended for children.

I feel sorry for the people of Porto, if this place is the best in the city as it stated as the review below. The taste so shallow, nothing complex. My samosas were very disappointing. Samosa supposed to have thin layers of crispy skin, instead, the skin stuck together as a thick skin. Not only the texture was wrong, but the flavour wasn't there either. King prawns were very dry. Lamb curry didn't have much lamb. Only the dish acceptable was cauliflower, which was very small portion. And red wine was so warm, it was undrinkable without adding cold water.
