vergonha de hospital...nao merece sequer classificação....cobram tudo e mais alguma coisa e nao resolvem o problema!profissionais muito fraquinhos.

Um es kurz zu machen, gehen Sie nicht mit den Vorstellungen aus Deutschland hier hin.
Telefonisch erreichen Sie nichts, sie bekommen keine Auskünfte uns sollten stattdessen online Formulare ausfüllen
Ich spreche gut Portugiesische aber das hilft auch nicht. Auch die Erklärung dass man einen akuten Bandscheibenvorfall hat und wissen will, ob ein Orthopäde vor Ort ist, bringt nichts. Auskunft glänzt mit völliger Inkompetenz.
Man muss also dahin. Nach der Aufnahme aller Daten, wieder die gleichen Fragen nach einen Ortopäden ( ohne Antwort) landet man bei einer Schwester ( sie ahnen es schon, gleiche Fragen, keine Antworten) die einem ein Bändchen um den Arm wickelt wie auf der Säuglingstation ( damit man nicht verwechselt wird). Dann wird man von einer anderen Schwester abgeholt, die einen im Kasernenton auf dem Gang die Eigenen Daten abfragt mit dem Hinweis man soll jetzt keinen Fehler machen ( ich konnte leider Schmerzbedingt nicht die Hacken zusammen schlagen und Jawoll rufen).
Endlich beim Arzt: ein Spanier, toll, der mit mir in spanisch gelangweilt redet, während er nach Autos auf dem PC googelt. Dann bekam er das CD Fach an seinem Computer nicht auf, um sich das bereits mitgebrachte MRT anzusehen. Wieder die Fragen: ob man eine Spritze unter einem C-Bogen setzen kann?
Das müsste man beantragen und dann käme der Spezialist. Nur wann? Keine Antwort. Er wollte mir dann ein Schmerzmittel spritzen und paar Tabletten aufschreiben. Chapeaux! Das nennt man Fachkompetenz. Saubere Anamnese, naja er brauchte halt bei seiner Erfahrung keinen Blick auf das MRT zu werfen.
Fazit: völlig überbürokratisiertes Möchtegern Krankenhaus gefüllt mit Medizinischer Inkompetenz.

Boa noite, hoje , eu e a minha esposa estivemos no hospital de Alvor para uma consulta de doenças autoimunes com o Drº Carlos Carneiro, como já é normal visto que a minha mulher é tratada por ele há mais de um ano, com resultados maravilhosos e faço desde já a minha homenagem a esse grande médico e ser humano, mas não posso deixar de denunciar a forma como fui tratado pela vossa recepcionista, Ana Cláudia Calado do piso 1 dos exame especiais, sendo arrogante, pouco profissional , não assumindo a responsabilidade do erro, como também me responsabilizou pelo mesmo e ainda denunciou a sua própria colega em publico, verificando-se que é pouco profissional, relembro que também sou vosso paciente, tendo sido operado ao menisco o mes passado e ainda estou em fisioterapia nas vossas instalacões.
É pena que a vossa essência que é a medicina, seja estragada por este tipo situacões.

I was very sick and went to the private clinic. They sent me to the hospital in an ambulance. I received excellent care. The nurses, doctors & assistants were attentive & kind & very knowledgeable.
I was admitted for 4 days with a heart monitor, oxygen, 2 IVs, medicine every 4 hours and breathing treatments. Again on the ward the nurses &. Doctors were excellent. Everything was explained to me In English. This is a superior hospital with superior staff!!

Do not go there if you are sick and in need of immediate healthcare, my husband was in extreme abdominal pain and was admitted for 2.5 days in a private room with staff not knowing what is going on, as for a doctor omg...my husband was told by a man in a white coat allegedly a doctor that an urologist was coming, two days of fasting later, no urologist, in the end we discharged ourselves, flew home to Ireland the next day and have had real private healthcare in the Beacon. Rang VHI told them that they should really review sending anyone there in an emergency. I’ve asked for a copy of the bill as I cannot wait to see what they charge for, this was after paying 350€ in their healthcare Centre in Guia, I’m glad I refused an ambulance charge of 250 and drove my husband myself....any tourists or ex oats living there, beware.....

We spent an half day for an ultrasound and we must pay more than 1.180€ and we were being held hostage during 4 hours just to receive an garant from Europe Assistant. The hospital didn't want to arrange everything without a specific email to garant that the invoice will paid the day after. And in despite of the illness of my wife.

Consulta agendada por e-mail para as 11,30h.... Apos fazer inscricao e pagar esperei 30m e fui perguntar quantas consultas existiam ( porque eu tinha duas para o mesmo dia em lagos e portimao).... Afinal tinha pago a consulta de lagos, no hospital de Portimao e não existia consulta agendada no hospital de ptm. Após mostrar o Email enviado pelo call center, falaram com o médico e o mesmo aceitou.
São 13h e continuo á espera... Zero pedidos de desculpa. ... Funcionarias com total falta de respeito pelos clientes.
Quando não existe concorrência a qualidade dos serviços nota se claramente.

This place is an utter joke. Since the public healthcare system is non-existent in the Algarve, these guys get away with doing whatever they want charging whatever they like. Massive waiting times, if you have a doubt about medication or need a clarification from the Physician, good luck with that, schedule an appointment and pay the 75€ fee. There is no sense of genuine care. The staff that support the doctors are miserable. They won´t move a muscle to help you out, and the ignorance level is outstanding. Again, it´s a general sense of don´t care, in a rude attitude.

I became seriously ill while vacationing in the Algarve and spent two weeks as an inpatient in the hospital. As a retired physician I will focus primarily on the quality of care. From the first moments speaking with the ER physician, who rapidly grasped how sick I was, the care was excellent. The physicians who saw me were intelligent and thoughtful. Their plans were always grounded in the commonly used protocols of EU medicine. As my condition changed they continually explained their logic and changed their plans accordingly. The nurses and support staff, many of whom have worked in England, were also exceptional. I spent a good deal of time on their imaging machines which are excellent and modern. The radiology interpretations were critical to the case and also excellent. Throughout the hospitalization the physician and business office kept in contact with my insurance company in the States to make sure my bills were guaranteed. My colleagues at home kept asking if I could be transferred to a larger hospital in a bigger city but I reassured them that although I was in a small city, I was in a well equipped hospital, being trateated by excellent, competent physicians. I would not hesitate to use them again.

Olá boa tarde, no passado dia 28 de Agosto fui submetida a uma cirurgia e só tenho a agradecer a todos os profissionais por quem fui atendida, agora a parte menos boa ou seja desagradável mesmo é a seguinte questão: Porquê que o Dr. ou o HPA não tem competência, autoridade, para passar a baixa médica!? E eu ter de me deslocar às consultas abertas (Centro de Saúde) para fazê-lo!? Lugar onde esperei cinco (5) horas para ser atendida e ainda por cima mal atendida, como sempre e por isso fui ao particular, por uma Dra que nunca a vi, nem ela a mim, sem conseguir sequer estar sentada, devendo estar em repouso e recuperação. "E então porquê que não marca consulta com médico de família ?" Qual? Não tenho médico de família. Triste e revoltante

I would never return to this hospital people talk badly about the Irish healthcare system at home “apparently this is a private hospital” It was chaos from the time we arrived till we left nobody seemed to know what was going on.
I attend hospitals and doctors regularly with three small children and one child with Cerebal Palsy I know how Paediatricians behave around small children. I arrived with a 7 year old girl in a lot of pain with an ear infection. We met a lady doctor with the most patronizing judgemental attitude I have ever met from any doctor never mind one who should know how to behave around small children.
I rang the hospital yesterday to obtain the information and details of the doctor that seen my daughter and I will be writing a strong letter of complaint on my return to Ireland. I’m sure they receive this on a regular basis and will probably be thrown in the bin with the rest of the complaints.
I don’t trust a word that doctor told us and will have to wait till tomorrow when we return to Ireland to have her seen by a doctor who is less interested in arguing,judging and patronizing taking phone calls shouting in Portuguese on her mobile phone around a child in ear pain and more interested in actually treating her patient which I believe is what we paid €75 euro for. Disgusted with my experience here.
Expect a letter of complaint.

Horrible experience all along the way-
Had a appointment at 15:30 , waited for the lady gynecologist till 5pm, as she came back from her break ( wearing civil clothes).
When I entered the room, I said politely- in portuguese, that I speak some of the language but would prefer to speak in English- she very strongly answered If I want to speak English, I should go to England, but here they speak Portuguese. Im from Czech and I just use international language when need to express myself correctly , I NEVER met this reaction at ANY other place in Portugal, and Im here for 6 years.
Her attitude was incredibly rude all the 5 min I spend there, getting no information, just sended me for blood test and I ended up paying 98 Euros. And the lady on reception- was too much trouble for her to type my email adress and sending the results by email- which they normally do in Lagos- so she said I can get results if I call Lagos.
Avoid if you can.

J'ai lus beaucoup de critiques au sujet de cet hôpital et je me dis que j'ai vraiment eu de la chance avec mes médecins ,le Dr António Gonzzaga a été mon ange gardien, sans lui je ne serai plus ici ainsi que le Dr Pedro Gomes qui est formidable, il y a aussi le Dr Miguel Duarte qui est un grand professionnel et qui a sauvé mon fils et aussi le Dr Carlos Carneiro qui est la personne la plus gentille et humaine que je connaisse et le remercie de tout ce qu 'il a déjà fait
Pour nous ,oui j'ai vraiment eu de la chance. Un grand merci à tous

Hoje após 4horas de espera após a triagem saí sem ser sequer atendida. Ao chegar informei me do tempo de espera que me foi dito ser de 1.30h. Considero pouco aceitável esperar mais de 4h para atendida. Mesmo que a afluência seja muita parece me que este hospital deve melhorar os serviços caso queira ser um hospital que se preze pelo qualidade.

Starke Hodenschmerzen seit 1 Monat, plötzlich sehr starke Schmerzen, dann hat Hausarzt einen Termin am gleichen Tag bei Dr. P. J. C. P. G. reserviert und einen Bericht in englisch mitgegeben, als dort angekommen sagt der Doktor als erstes er könne kein Englisch solle Portugiesisch lernen....Beratung in Arroganz nicht zu übertreffen, Termin für Ultraschall bekommen in 5 Wochen und in 6 Wochen Ergebnis Besprechung ....... !! Am gleichen Tag in Hospital Lusiadas gefahren, sofort Termin erhalten , der Urologe spricht sogar deutsch , 2 Tage später Termin für Ultraschall und 7 Tage später Ergebnis Besprechung, das nenne ich Service!

My Mam passed away in this hospital 3 months ago today. Whilst she was attended to straight away there was an issue with obtaining a guarantee of payment from her insurance company as it was out of hours. Her health deteriorated during the night and by the time the guarantee was received it was the following day. She was operated on but never regained consciousness and passed away in ICU. I must say the staff in ICU were excellent but Mam had barely taken her last breath and we were asked to leave which was very upsetting for the family. In fairness we got to spend some time with her later that day but I feel this hospital is too concerned about money. That's my opinion.

Tive que alugar uma ambulância para me deslocar ao HP de São Gonçalo e constatei que a mesma não estava equipads com plataforma elevatória. É um detalhe que devem olhar por ser grave, quando não se tem força humana para levantar a cadeirinha que utilizam. No meu caso foi bastante complicado e frustrante.

After a roller coaster ride of 5 months of time wasted at Portimao Hospital on the public medical system. We made the move away from the “Public” to the Private Health System (that is without PVT Medical Insurance Or aid) as we needed to find someone serious about trying to help us with our daughter Kylie-Mae who needed a biopsy to test for cancer, which was not forthcoming from Portimao Hospital or specialists. We were introduced to Doctor Roger Oliviera in the “Alvor Hospital - Oncology” department, nurses Monica, Joanna, Cláudia and Pedro. They have all been a God sent and so very professional and empathetic to my daughters medical needs as with Doctor Roger’s medical guidance and advice. With their help, we achieved for our daughter Kylie a Cat Scan, Biopsy, Pet Scan, move away from radiation therapy temporarily and onto chemotherapy which all started within 7 to 10 days of our initial visit with an unknown diagnoses. They have been absolutely wonderful and we owe our deepest gratitude to them all for their support and help during this difficult time. We know that their swift action to get our daughter to and through the treatment is going to save her life. Thank you so very much to Alvor Hospital and these very dedicated, special and professional people. They come so very highly recommended. We are indeed indebted to you all.

Hoje tive uma experiencia desagradavel,tinha uma marcação com o Doutor Andre Laureano nessa tarde, ja ha anos tenho o como meu medico Dermatologista,todos os anos quando venho a Portugal, tenho sempre marcação de consultas com o Doutor Andre,entao hoje vou a consulta e ele me diz que não pode mais atender que agora as coisas mudaram e ele so atende a especialidade de cancro, pra minha surpresa ele não quiz me consultar, disse que iria embora as 16;30 e o minha consulta era as 16:30,e eu disse que gostaria que ele me atendesse pois precisava de medicamentos pra rosácea ,e um medicamento para as unhas do pe e ele logo me disse que não poderia que eu deveria procurar outro medico de estética,pro cabelo se eu nem estava la por causa do cabelo, e que ele não atendia mais, fiquei muito triste e sem entender o que realmente aconteceu, pois mesmo dentro do HPA,ficaram surpresos com o acontecido, realmente quando as pessoas crescem ja não precisam mais dos pacientes que não dao lucros.Fica a minha decepção com este medico.

Infelizmente tenho pouco de bom a dizer sobre o hospital. Apenas vim por recomendação médica. Por mim nunca mais cá punha os pés. O pessoal administrativo é bom, alguns assistente operacionais também. Contudo o internamento de cirurgia fica num piso diferente do bloco operatório. Se for necessário auxílio de enfermagem tem de se aguardar que o enfermeiro do piso ligue para o colega e esperar que o enfermeiro venha, quando puder, quando quiser se lhe apetecer. As instalações não são boas, as cadeiras desconfortáveis, o bar tem pouca oferta e o pessoal de serviço não entende bem o português ou seja o que for. Lamento muito o mau atendimento por parte de uma enfermeira de cirurgia. Foi pena que essencialmente o serviço que prestou tenha manchado ainda mais uma situação que já por si não era fácil.

Fui fazer o despiste da diabetes gestational. As técnicas de análise foram espetaculares. Sempre a ver se eu estava bem pois o teste obriga nos a 3 colheitas sanguíneas durante 2 horas e em todo o processo estamos em jejum.

I had experienced a concern for my health and wanted to be seen by a doctor as quickly as possible. I visited Hospital Paricular do Algarve and was seen by the ER doctor (Dr. Gerson Pacheco). I was seen with sincere care and knowing very little of the Portugese language was explained what was needed to be completed and was made sure that I understood. I observed others being cared for in the same manner as I. This is going down as a hospital visit that was reassuring instead of scary. And Dr. Pacheco was one of the coolest doctors that I have met.

Don’t loose time waiting for your appointment, Dr. Andre Laureandro (dermatologist) cancels your appointment 1 hour before you have your consultation. Because he is so busy treating other clients with the laser, as he earns more money with that. The appointment was made 2 Months ago and you get it cancelled 1 hour before. And the next appointment is just offered 2 weeks later ...

Subject: defective implant refund
Dear Sear,
I’m writing you this letter after being used your communication system online and got no replies after 3 attempts without replies from you.
I’ve been a patient of HPA since 2014; Hospital San Camillo and Hospital private Alvor.
Since then I came across a major difficulty with Dr Rolland MERCIER in Alvor.
I began a treatment of implantology in August 2017 under the care of Dr mercier who promised me my treatment would be partly remboursed by Fidelidade.
( which was fake)
From the beginning of the sessions with DR M, I noticed a poor quality of consideration toward me and my suffering during the cares.
Finally in August 2017 he Implanted me three osteofit implants on INF right.
I wouldn’t imagine the pain I encontered the nights and days after, during weeks. I called him and he prescribed me Tramadol 150 mg.
My mouth was paralysed and my chin as well. It lasted one month.
I had terrible bruises and swollen face, but for me the essential was the end of the pain.
IN september my body rejected the implant near my mouth and I was released from this permanent suffering.
When I went back to HPA alvor, Dr Mercier told to her nurse “she has no bone” and ask for artificial bone to fill the lack of bone I had.
He pretended he would be able to place a new implant in this new mixture in two months.
Then I decided to visit experts in France and they told me, the procedure was a sure failure in the next future.
First I was very disappointed I had to pay 120 euros in plus of Artificial bone and without any excuse.
I decided to stop this butchery and change my way to another specialist.
Now I want to be refunded with no delay for the third defective Implant I paid 600 euros and the useless artificial bone costing 120 euros.

Vorwarnung an alle die eine Koloskopie machen, der behandelnde Gastrologie Arzt von Alvor Spital wird sich keine Zeit nehmen das Ergebnis mit Ihnen zu besprechen oder Fragen zu beantworten, ich und meine Freunde erlebten das selbe,
! auch nach mehrmaligen Wunsch / nachher war er nicht mehr auffindbar und lieber ging Mittagessen !
Weil mein Hausarzt kein Spezialist ist mussten wir nochmals bezahlen um einen anderen Gastrologie Arzt zu befragen.

Warning to all who do a colonoscopy, the attending gastrology doctor from Alvor Spital will not take the time to discuss the result with you or to answer questions, I and my friends experienced the same,
! even after several requests / afterwards he was no longer findable and would rather have lunch!
Because my family doctor is not a specialist we had to pay again to ask another gastrology doctor.

Fuyez cet endroit, médecins vus incompétents et tarifs de 164€ pour une consultation après une attente de 4h30.
Après un 1er contact le médecin nous a dirigé vers son confrère spécialisé en Orl dans le même hôpital.... ce dernier n'avait jamais vu une patiente opérée d'un cancer Orl et ne savait pas quoi faire face à un signe d'infection dans la bouche ....
Au hasard il donne un traitement de pénicilline sans aucun examen complémentaire ni même visuel à part un regard furtif à l'intérieur de la bouche (5 mn en tout)
Mais par contre on n'oublie pas de bien vous faire savoir à la fin que la note est de 164€ et qu'il faut payer car c'est un hôpital privé !...
Alors je vous déconseille fortement cet endroit et allez plutôt à l'hôpital public et tant qu'à attendre au moins vous ne sera pas escroqué financièrement....
Mais ceci n'est que mon avis et mon expérience à l'hôpital particulier d'Alvor

Mon expérience en implantologie a été un désastre: le practicien travaillait avec un manque de moyens (pas de petites aiguilles, pas de mastics adéquates). Sur trosi implants posés inf droite, celui le plus prêtye du nerf vzrs la bouche a été rejeté! quelle douleur!. après cela, le practicien a injecté de l'os artificiel dans la cavité. Ayant consulté un expert, celui-ci m'a dit qu'aucun implnat aurait tenu dans cet amalgame articificiel.je nen'ai pas été remboursé du 3 ème implant payé et rejeté ainsi que l'os artificiel. Je vais me plaindre à mon avocat.

Fui submetida a uma histerectomia no Hospital de Alvor e quero deixar aqui o meu agradecimento a todos os profissionais especialmente á grande equipe que trabalha com o Dr Félix, não pudemos só reclamar temos que elogiar quando encontramos alguem com tanta competencia

Paid 2000,- for preventive healt check up, normally abroad you get one scan they see and now everything!, here I had 3 and they wanted me to do 2 extra from the same parts!!? They gave me the wrong injection. I had to go with a emergency plane back to the Netherlands for treatment. They have a lawsuit waiting for them. DO NOT TRUST THE SPECIALIST PEOPLE HERE.

Devo confessar que apesar dos comentários que tenho lido menos abonatórios, felizmente a minha experiência foi bem positiva. Tive de recorrer aos serviços e todos os profissionais foram competentes, inclusive a estagiária que estava na recepção.

Hoje fui a uma consulta de Estomatologia e ao pagar o tratamento, senti que me foram ao bolso, pois pelo mesmo tratamento que efetuei há uns meses atrás paguei quase o dobro.

Worst experience possible. After one hour waiting (after check in done) nobody was able to tell how long it will still take until my turn. Found out that after the doctor sees you, there is another wait - to pay! You are supposed to wait until someone calls you on the cellphone so you can pay (also very long wait as I figured out watching people around). Ultimately I gave up. So, problem solved - zero, expenses - good holiday's time.

Serviço privado abaixo do limite mínimo exigível ao serviço nacional de saúde. Mas a vários níveis, desde o básico como atendimento, recepção e simpatia, até á qualidade perfeitamente discutível e de recursos humanos deficitários. Mau demais.

Atendimento na recepção é péssimo. A recepção do hospital é aquele local onde estão sempre cerca de 20 pessoas a olhar para ecrans com números e letras a apitar enquanto esperam pela sua vez que tarda demais em chegar.

MELHOR HOSPITAL! Eu tive cancro e numa questão de 4 dias fui operado e bem tratado lá. Fiz consultas para ver se precisava ou não de quimioterapia no público e diziam que sim e no particular disseram que não até agora já foram 2 anos tudo bem.

Booked a dental appointment for 17h30. Arrived at 17h20 and was told dentist will be 20 minutes late. Went back at 17h45. Still waiting at 18h20. Gave up! Cancelled.and walk out. Shocking

My husband had truly shocking experience. High case of negligence. He suffered stroke in July 2016 and Alvor hospital was the hospital he went when he started feeling unwell. When he arrived he couldn't speak, started loosing feeling in right hand, his face dropped.. No one in this hospital recognised that these were the first signs of stroke. The doctor who saw him asked him if they can pray together instead of providing appropriate assessment and treatment. My brother in law decided to take my husband to public hospital as soon as possible because it was obvious that his life was at risk. Before that happened the hospital asked Filipe to sign a consent form to be discharged and they charged him 600 euros.
I have no words as this is clear case of negligence.
My husband ended up having a massive stroke. He hasn't received a proper assistant in the first few hours of his stroke. It was a matter of life and death.
He survived even though he spent couple of weeks on intensive care. He's recovering well but it took a lot to get to this stage. All that could be potentially prevented but he needed an urgent recognition and treatment.

It is private so you do need to be insured if not you need to pay a bunch for a few days but it is worth it if compared to emergency room on Portimao where you stay in a room with 35 patients and if you are not about to die will be left your faith

Miserável, simplificando para quem não tem dicionário à mão, 10 graus abaixo de péssimo. O interessante é este grupo possuir várias instalações; como sobrevivem? O estado do SNS no Algarve leva as pessoas ao desespero e a procurar alternativas que acabam por ser ainda piores e bastante mais dispendiosas, muito mais dispendiosas.

We arrived at HPA at 8.55pm with our 6yo daughter with almost 40ºC temperature having had fever for 3 days straight and it took almost 2 hours for a doctor to see her. The doctor was working alone since the morning and by the time he saw her he had no diagnostics resources as service closes at 10pm. We were sent home and asked to return the next day at 10 am but ended up at Hospital de Portimão paediatric emergency at 4am. My daughter was later transferred to Lisbon with a Group A Streptococcus infection. She could have been diagnosed sooner if it werent for this poor excuse of an hospital. They shouldnt be allowed to answer to paediatric emergencies as they clearly have a conflict of interest being a private company. We will be reporting this case to the authorities as soon as our daughter is stable.
In people and children best interest Google should remove this entry for searches reg "paediatric emergency" in Algarve but it is the second result shown.
I recommend Hospital de Portimao for paediatric urgency in Algarve.
