This place is obviously targeting international customers as even their regular menu is in English. I went in, saw "daily dish" and went to the bar to ask what the daily dish was. At first the lady didn't want to respond and told me to ask a waiter. From the side another colleague shouted "just sit down". In the same time they could have said two words "vegetarian or pork" but they chose to be complicated about it.
Kinda amicable rude if it was a traditional Portuguese place. In this case it was maybe an effect that sometimes takes place experiencing success.
I'm glad I found a traditional place with great food and a drink for only 5€. No word in English, but a big heart.

Really nice staff and good food. I would definitely recommend going there for lunch and taking the menu, which consists out of a soup, a main dish and a drink for €7, which is a really good deal!
On the other handside the salad for €7 was a bit expensive and very small. We were also waiting for 45 min until they served it.

Lovely stuff that makes everything happen. They also serve great cakes and coffee. Relaxed atmosphere to start off the day, so dishes take a while as they are prepared fresh with much care.

O espaço é divinal: tem 2 pisos, áreas muito espaçosas e um local exterior nas traseiras onde é possível desfrutar das refeições ao ar livre.
Os petiscos e refeições são ótimos, para além de proteínas animais, tem sempre boas opções vegetarianas.
O staff é muito simpático e prestável.
Apenas aceita pagamentos em dinheiro.
Recomendo e volto sempre!

Beautiful restaurant, it looks tiny, but it's actually pretty big.
Great food, and they have a vegetarian alternative, great service.
Really affordable and I really admire their cooks, they make incredible food.

Espaço pitoresco e descontraído. Tem dois pisos e ainda um jardinzinho interior. É possível estudar ou trabalhar. Oferta interessante de petiscos e ainda menu do dia. Staff simpático e prestável.
Único ponto negativo foi temperatura ambiente, pois o frio no interior (Inverno) tornou a experiência um pouco desconfortável.

Nice place with a patio in the back. The food was very reasonable priced and presented nicely. The two dishes of the day were ok but not a sensation.
The two lunch dishes, including bread and soup for starters, two beers and a lemonade cost us 15€.
If you're picky and need a lot of choices this is not the place for you. If you want to keep it on the cheap side of lunch this is a good spot!
Even though I only had the draft beer (probably super bock or similar) they did have an IPA and probably something more.
Give it a go!

Un lugar muy agradable. La comida deliciosa y a precio asequible. Los camareros muy atentos. Me gustó especialmente que tuvieran opción vegetariana y un espacio de juegos para los niños. No es muy accesible, en la entrada hay un escalón y dentro es algo estrecho.

Non pretentious but quite nice restaurant, has a small and fresh back terrace. Home made, simple and tasty food. The service was quick and friendly. Menu fairly priced. I would definitely come back.

Unpretentious and unassuming bar in Porto. They have a small food menu and an extensive wine menu. Great place to hang out with friends and relax. They have a small but nice courtyard in the front to appreciate those summer and sunny days.

Gosto muito deste lugar. Aqui como tranquilamente e tenho sempre opção de carne o vegetariana. O pessoal que atende às mesas e ao balcão são impecáveis, naturais e muito atenciosos. Nenhum restaurante de luxo tem este luxo de contacto humano.

Comida deliciosa, opção vegetariana e convencional, preço super justo (menu de almoço 7€), staff atencioso e espaço bonito, com duas opções de sala e um pequeno pátio! Levar crianças é tranquilo e tem inclusive alguns livros e jogos para elas brincarem! Costuma ter pequenas exposições de artistas locais e estudantes das belas artes. Vou varias vezes la, sinto-me sempre em casa!

C'est un lieu qui nous a était conseillé, c'est très bon ! Petite salle en rez de chaussée et une salle au 1er. Le menu n'est pas chère, 7€ soupe avec des toast, un plat végétarien ou avec de la viande et une boisson. Les plats sont vraiment délicieux je vous le conseille à 300%

A respectable value for money restaurant that accepts cash only.
A narrow layout split over two levels. Refreshingly quite.

A torrada de alho é bastante boa, no entanto esperámos 15 minutos e ninguém nos veio atender. Depois de estar 15 minutos na mesa fomos obrigados a mudar de mesa porque havia uma reserva feita que tinha sido esquecida.

Highly recommend their lunch menu! For 7 euros, you get a drink, soup with bread, and the main course. Go for their homemade ice lemon tea (if I recall correctly) - it has unique yet healthy ingredients. The soup and main dish were really delicious and super tasty. Service was great too.

Went in during a busy time, tried to get a menu but was told to sit down and wait. No one served us for at least 20minutes. I went up to the counter to order two coffees but they never arrived. The server eventually apologised about forgetting our order but did not bring any coffee for another 10-15 minutes so we had to admit defeat and leave.

Initially I went into this restaurant for food, however upon asking for a menu I was advised to take a seat and a waitress would be over to explain the menu to me.
I then waited for 20 minutes before I was acknowledged. When I was finally acknowledged, I asked for a coffee (to the waitress with the blue hair) and was then ignored for another 10 minutes!! During this time the table of 4 next to me was cleared and then served another course.
After 35 minutes I gave up and left - no communication from the servers.
Avoid if you are actually trying to eat a meal, otherwise you may starve to death before you even get a menu.

C'est un café vraiment sympathique, très convivial et accueillant. Pas cher. Si vous souhaitez travailler un peu et vous installer à une table n'hésitez pas l'endroit est plutôt calme et le personnel accueillant. On peut y manger et s'installer dans une terrasse ombragée en été. Un café-restaurant avec une ambiance vraiment classe et décontractée.

Lugar super agradável. Ótimo para almoçar (há sempre um prato de carne e um vegetariano), as refeições são saudáveis e de grande qualidade (preço médio 7,5€), as sopas são deliciosas e a tarte de lima é um arraso ! Boa música, acolhe exposições temporárias, tem wifi gratuíto, wc's cheios de stickers e de estórias ! O stuff é simpático e no piso superior há um mini jardim de inverno (marquise fechada) com plantinhas, luz solar e janelões. Está muito bem localizado próximo ao jardim São Lázaro, Biblioteca Municipal do Porto, etc.

Bar-restaurante muy agradable. Con varios ambientes, no muy grande. Precios muy asequibles. Del menú del día destacaría sus sopas (que en realidad son cremas o purés) y sus postres, especialmente la tarta de lima. Los camareros, jóvenes, también muy amables.

How come didn't I know this place until now? From the toast to chai tea, everything I had was so good; especially the lime tart... the best I've ever had. Not to forget the friendly service and amazing atmosphere. Plus it's located in a very cozy neighborhood, right next to Jardim de São Lázaro.

Surprenant..! Resto simple, terrasse intérieure en prime, deux plats au menu dont un végétarien, créatifs et excellents, soupe raffinée portugaise comprise, serveuse très souriante et avenante, à l écoute... ☺️... Pour un prix très abordable, avec digestif conseillé à la hauteur de l établissement.

when we are in town, we always come here for lunch . Their vegetarian dish is always good with an Asiatic touch (spices, crunchy nuts, a bite of fruit and nicely decorated). The staff is relax and friendly. The place is also pleasant with big windows and plenty of day light.

Leuk lokaal restaurant. De kaart is simpel maar prima. Het is een uitgebreide lunch kaart waar ook in de avond van gegeten kan worden. Zeer goedkoop en prettige bediening. Bediening spreekt Engels. Restaurant bevindt zich in de artiesten wijk van Porto.

Plate of the day is very cheap and comes with soup, bread, and a drink. Great value; I went back for lunch the following day and was not disappointed. The food is great quality and very tasty. Lovely decor and a really nice mood, and the staff are very friendly. Couldn't ask for more!

One of the best cafés I know in Porto. Fantastic service, a nice cozy restaurant where you canhave nice chats and enjoy the warmth. There are several floors and a backyard. Lunch is served everyday while you can eat dinner only on fridays and saturdays...
