I had the best steak in my life here! We had no reservation but they were able to fit us in within 30 minutes! Very friendly and genuine staff!

Nice food and friendly service, good for families or couples. Food very good quality, with partially open kitchen. Been a few times and very consistent. Top marks as even kids menu food freshly made (chicken schnitzel) not frozen. My favourite resto in Burgau, recommended.

The food is quite simply exceptional. The service is friendly and overall, Esquina offers outstanding value for money. Two days later I am in Lisbon eating some of the worst food I've ever had the misfortune to be served....now wishing I'd stayed in Burgau for a few more days.

In my view, the ratings so far do not reflect the actual quality and price. We had a reservation for 8 people and were a totally disappointed. The ambience is good, but the seating is a bit cramped and the room temperature was much too high. All windows were closed, the air conditioning was switched off. The service was a bit complicated. For dinner: The sardine pate was out of he tin (and was served with tin on the table). The fried calamari tasted like thawed from Bofrost, the tuna steak floated in the fat. No culinary highlight of our Portugal trip and with 233 Euro (for 8 persons) way too expensive for the quality offered.

Bit of a squeeze in terms of table arrangements. The food was good yet had a sense of mass catering. I had the duck which was very tasty and served perfectly pink. The potatoes were undercooked and though the vegetables looked attractive, had very little taste, possibly because they frozen and not fresh. The staff were very polite and very busy, keeping cool under pressure.

I have eaten here many times and have enjoyed it. If you are in a hurry it can be a bit frustrating. I have yet to have a meal I haven't liked and the owner is always welcoming. Don't sit by the entrance if you have a choice

Sehr gute Küche, traditionell und lecker. Frische Zutaten und regionale Produkte, das schmeckt man. den Köchinnen kann beim Zubereiten der Speisen zuschauen. Unbedingt reservieren! Der Inhaber ist ein sehr humorvoller Gastwirt mit positiver Energie. Auch der Sohn ist sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt.

Wir waren 3 mal hier essen und waren immer sehr zufrieden. Sehr gutes Essen, freundliche und nette Bedienung. Wer Fisch und Meeresfrüchte mag, sollte hier unbedingt die Monkfish-Cataplana ( für 2 Personen) essen. Super lecker!

The seaside town of Burgau has some wonderful restaurants. This is very special. There are some wonderful wines, marvelous service and a delicious menu.

It is 8 years since I lasted visited, but this place is still amazing. George and his family are so bubbly, friendly and welcoming! And the food is all very tasty. We had a selection of starters, Portuguese steak/prawn pasta/steak with green peppercorns/tuna steak/duck between us and every dish was equally delicious and cooked to our preferences (medium rare for the steaks) to perfection. The dessert are also yum! Thanks once again for a fun evening George.

Service was a little disappointing, some elements of the menu were unavailable, group were not offered a dessert menu, and we were overcharged with an extra meal. However meals were tasty.

Very good Food. I had my best portugese steak in this restaurant compared to others. The service was very good and nice
