Highly recommended! Acupuncture is not painful, and it works! About me and why I ended up going to acupuncture: Dislocated elbow - Fracture - All tendons of my elbow tore - Five weeks of a cast Status : Pain. I was in so much pain....! I could barely move my arm, and my doctor recommended Acupuncture besides my physio to help me to recover mobility and try to have a normal life. I just completed my 10th session of acupuncture at Sun Medical Center, and I cannot recommend it enough. I never tried acupuncture before, but the sessions helped to reduce the pain so much that I could progress in my rehabilitation and treatment. Acupuncture is not a magic pill guys if you want this to work, you need to give time and at least two rounds of 3 sessions. Salvador was my acupuncturist during my treatment, and he did a fantastic job helping me to recover! He is entertaining and knowledgeable, and I am grateful for his help. My doctor was shocked to see how much have I improved after the accident. I was worried that acupuncture would be painful and that because the area was so sensitive after the accident that it was going to be a horrible experience to put needles, but I can confirm that is not painful and it helps you to heal and recover after an accident or severe pain case. Tenho a dizer que estou muito contente com o desempenho e profissionalismo das pessoas para além da simpatia como somos tratados, mais importante os resultados têm sido excelentes desde uma tendite horrível que tive num ombro e em 2 sessões fiquei perfeita, agora tenho um problema mais complicado nos pés, fiz uma sessão e apesar de saber que não fico curada mas garanto que me minimizou as dores insuportáveis que tenho. RECOMENDO altamente que vão sem medos muito BOM mesmo. FELICIDADES para o centro e para os seus profissionais. Estarei lá sempre que eu precisar.

Very nice staffs and care. I had a very bad back pain and could not walk. I got 1 session of acupunture then I could walk next day. Magic.

A small place, but the staff are lovely and the treatments very competitively priced. I went in there with some muscular tension and palpitations, and the latter has completely resolved after doing some acupuncture. I also feel less tense, but in this case there has been a less marked difference, at least subjectively. Happy to have gone, and still have another session to go which I am looking forward to.

Lisbon is full of treasures but this is the "Holy Grail" of them all! I moved to Lisbon September 2016 and was introduced to Dr. Duarte Ramada Curto at Centro Sun. For the past 5 years I have been suffering with acute sciatica down my left leg. Anyone who has suffered with chronic pain for any length of time will understand when I say it is both physically and mentally dibilitating not to mention the depression that goes with it. It is now January and I am happy (understatement of my life!) to say that through my weekly appointments which have included Various Chinese massage,acupuncture along with some cupping and amazing Chinese herbs I am living a pain free life again! I highly reccommend Centro Sun be at the top of your list when you come to Lisbon! I am forever greatful to you Duarte!!

I cannot express how wonderful these guys are. When threatened with a debilitating cervical injury and while waiting for the international medical system to catch up, Eduardo and his team provided the only relief I was able to get for my condition (plus the ability to explain in English my issues and concerns). After four months of physio and osteo appointments, and what has been a very frustrating medical experience generally, I continue to look forward to my weekly visits to SUN Centro - and the pain relief I see as a result. These are the only guys I actually pay for out of pocket and it is worth EVERY penny. Not a fan of "needles," but SUN Centro literally has been a life saver for me, and I am very thankful that I found them. I couldn't recommend them more, to anyone in need of pain relief, and a sympathetic or understanding ear.

Last August 2014 I moved to Lisbon from Newport Beach, California and I am SO HAPPY I discovered SUN - Centro de Medicina Tradicional Chinesa! A little background on my issue: 10 years ago I hyper extended my left thumb joint 5-6 times and I didn't see a doctor for it because after a day or two the pain and swelling would go away. I recently had a baby in 2014 and because of the pregnancy related hormones my left thumb joint started to bother me around my 8 month of pregnancy. I was told by my doctors in California that it was a pregnancy related issue and that it would go away after the birth or within a year. It has been more than a year and the pain in my left thumb had progressed to my wrist and to my lower arm. It was too painful to bear ANY kind of weight with my left hand, so forget picking up my baby or even holding a plate. Doctors both in California and in Portugal all told me the same thing, it would go away and the best they could recommend to me was to take some pain medication?!?! My husband recommended I see Duarte over at SUN - Centro de Medicina Tradicional Chinesa and I am so happy that I did. I have only been seeing him for three weeks now but the improvement in my left thumb, wrist and lower arm has been dramatic. The chronic pain has subsided and I am now able to bear light weight with my left hand. Duarte is a highly knowledgeable and trained specialist in Chinese Medicine. He carefully examined my left hand, asked detailed questions about my health and from there devised a treatment that combined acupuncture and herbal treatments. Through him I learned that my chronic wrist and thumb pain was actually being caused from extreme tension in my back and shoulders. Duarte found the problem and devised a treatment to cure it, which is what I was looking for.
