Superbe emplacement avec magnifique vue sur le Douro et les vignes! Propreté impeccable. L’hôte est super gentille et il y a un choix varié au petit déjeuner. Je recommande de vous y arrêter plus d’une nuit pour avoir le temps de bien visiter la région et profiter du calme et de la beauté du lieu.

Top B&B, very friendly and efficient staff, beautiful house and location, excellent by all means. Simply a great place to stay while exploring the Douro Valley and its fabulous Quintas.
We used the train from Rede Station to go anywhere in the valley we wanted. To get to the station from Casa de Canilhas use Vitor's Taxi service (attached you find his biz card). Great service.

The view alone - high above the Duoro River - was worth the visit. But the ample breakfast, delightful grounds with pool, warm hospitality and room with balcony were also first rate. And the value was terrific. You do need a car, though, and the courage to drive narrow local roads to Regua (multiple good restaurants) and the local wineries. Charming local restaurant within walking distance.

A nice old house over looking the Douro river valley. Great views, but over priced accommodation. Limited drinks and food available and walk to nearest restaurant 1 km away.

We chose (by mistake ) a room without a direct view of the valley which was too bad .The Tv reception was not good /the main breakfast area and living was very cosy and comfortable -a real home .Nice linens We had to leave a day early and Expedia was excellent in sorting things out for us with the casa -I was VERY impressed

Sempre que vir este nascer de sol irei me lembrar do excelente fim de semana que aí estive. Apesar do mês ser o segundo deste ano, o sol maravilhoso entrou pela janela recordando-me a bela companhia que tinha. Os colaboradores dessa casa foram de uma simpatia extrema e o cuidado como nos trataram de louvar. A família Canilhas presentiou-nos com a explicação histórica da propriedade ficando também patente o amor e a dedicação que o Dr. entregou às gentes locais.
O local é fantástico, a paisagem de perder a respiração, o olhar... esse perdes-se, levando-nos a acreditar que o paraíso existe.

This property was excellent! The view from there were just awe inspiring and service could not be faulted. The property was well taken care of and had nice touches. The breakfast provided was perfect with a great variety and quality. Wish we had stayed longer and will be sure to return in the future. Will highly recommended! Obrigada!

Quinta / Hotel-Pension mit WUNDERSCHÖNEM Blick auf den Douro, atemberaubend. Sehr nettes professionelles Personal und freundliche, familiäre Atmosphäre. Ruhige stilvolle Gäste aus aller Welt, die Pool und Blick sowie die Umgebung genießen. Gute Parkmöglichkeiten vor dem Hotel an der kleinen Straße. Gemütliche Zimmer, meist mit Fernblick. Wir waren 10 Tage dort, zwei Erwachsene und zwei Treens.

Magnífico lugar, vistas espectaculares desde la piscina, cuidado al elegir habitaciones, las hay de todos los tamaños y es mejor saberlo con anterioridad...excepto este detalle que no es culpa del hotel todo estupendo.

We had a very spacious room on the main floor overlooking the Douro River. The view from our room and terrace was breathtaking. Breakfast was excellent and parking on the street above the Casa very safe and easy. It is a 15 minute walk to Mesão Frio where there were a few decent restaurants. We stayed for 2 nights and hook the train from Rede to Pinhão where they have boat tours and the Symington Estates winery. The place itself feels like a small castle. Staff made a fire for us, put on background music. All round great experience.

Jaw-dropping view, nice comfortable rooms with gorgeous views of the Douro river from room and balcony, good selection of breakfast- hot pancakes, scrambled eggs, cereals, fruits, meats,cakes, cheese and bread Andy friendly hosts. Highly recommend when in Douro valley. Our family of four, stayed Dec 29th in 2 rooms.

This place is simply gorgeous and the staff very friendly. We had a warm welcome and the check in process is very easy and fast. The only thing that would have made it better is the option to pay by card. We had to find an ATM machine but eh, it gave us a reason to go out and admire the little town of Mesão Frio :)I highly recommend this place.

Amazing place and even better view!!!!! They serve breakfast every morning and have a pool to swim at during the day! The only thing I would suggest, is for the staff to offer water / snacks to people who are sitting at the pool during the day. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Ich habe mich beim Buchen zuerst in den Ausblick verliebt und recht behalten. Man kann sich in den Weinbergen nicht satt sehen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, gibt Ausflugtipps, Restaurantempfehlungen usw. Die Zimmer sind sehr liebevoll und persönlich eingerichtet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Jammer dat het centrale deel met zitruimte reeds om 10 PM gesloten was. Na ons restaurant bezoek was er geen drank meer verkrijgbaar. Fantastische omgeving, vriendelijk personeel

Perfect view! Perfect environment and perfect room! The boss who is a doctor is super kind and attentive and lives in the first floor! This place is so beautiful, i fell in love with it everyday. If you want to enjoy this place properly, you really need at least 2 nights. This place and Duoro Valley is one of the most beautiful places on Earth! Love the flowers and terraced vineyards and river valley view! 100% amazing! Totally recommended!

Casa de Canilhas was a great little B&B to stay at while spending a night in the Douro valley. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the views were amazing, the house is nicely furnished and was overall just a great place to relax and enjoy some port or a glass of wine while enjoying the views. Its up a bit of a windy/narrow road but if youre driving out this way its not any different than the rest of the N-222. Plenty of parking on the street just above the house as well. The staff gave us a great recommendation for a little local restaurant for dinner in the nearby town that is about 15 min away by foot. Breakfast was quite delicious with plenty of variety as well. Our only regret was not staying longer. Would absolutely come stay again whenever we make it back to this area.

We were suppose to stay just one night however we were so satisfied with the accommodations, the spectacular view of the Douro Valley from the vantage point of our room and the friendliness of the staff that we made arrangements to stay a 2nd night. Outstanding is what comes to mind and please know that I have never given a 5 star for any other stay. Highly recommend it & we are planning to revisit in 2 years.

Espaço muito bonito e bem decorado. Lençóis macios e a cheirar maravilhosamente. Não há jantar. Vista fabulosa sobre o douro. No entanto nem todos os quartos são na casa, e essa informação não é revelada explicitamente. Quartos de banho espaçoso e aquecido. Lindas varandas. Lareira na sala de estar. Um aroma a canela percorre a casa, devido aos produtos de limpeza, e que faz com que cheire a Natal. Recomendo viviamente para um fim de semana sossegado.

Nous avons adoré notre séjour à cet casa! De bons conseilssur les trucs à visiter aux alentours, une vue de notre chambre avec blacon à couper le souffle sue le Douro, petit dej varié et délicieux... la chambre ultra confortable et odeur de propreté! Un vrai cocon!

Uma casa requintada, muito bem cuidada, com vistas de tirar o fôlego a qualquer um sobre o rio Douro. Em relação ao staff, as colaboradoras da Casa de Canilhas são de uma extrema simpatia ( que é muito difícil encontrar hoje em dia), e que nos fizeram sentir imediatamente em casa! Elas são sem duvida a cereja no topo do bolo desta aventura em Mesão Frio.

Leider kamen wir auf Grund einer Panne erst recht spät in der Unterkunft an. Man erwartete uns in einem Wohnstuben- Raum und bot uns erst einmal etwas zu trinken an. Ein Kaffee war kein Problem. Eine sehr nette Geste. Am dunklen Abend genossen wir noch den Blick vom Balkon auf ein Lichtermeer im Tal. Schade, dass es so spät war. Das Bett war super bequem (das 1. bei unserer Rundreise in Portugal) und es war ja soo ruhig. Tolles Frühstück, viele Tipps und weiter ging die Reise.

Der Blick auf den Douro sehr schön. Kleiner Makel die Vielen Stromleitungen,die man aber dann nicht mehr sieht. Das Zimmer und Bad war schön groß und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Nur leider roch es modrig und der Kanal stank leider sehr. Das Frühstück war gut aber langweilig.Jedoch die Lokation und der Mit viel Geschmack gedeckte Tisch auf dem Balkon zusammen mit dem Blick hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Das ganze Anwesen macht einen sehr gepflegten Eindruck.

Magnifique séjour à la Casa de Canilhas.
La vue sur les vignes depuis la villa, ou depuis la piscine, est à couper le souffle!
Le personnel est aux petits soins pour que vous passiez un séjour relaxant, le petit déjeuner est varié et composé de nombreux produits frais (les gâteaux faits maison sont délicieux).
Les chambres sont confortables et... dotées de clim (ce qui peut être un excellent point lorsqu'il fait plus de 40!). Déco traditionnelle.
Prix en aout via booking avec balcon sur le Douro et petit dej compris : 110€

Casa de Canilhas is located at such a great location. The view is overwhelming, the rooms are very clean and decorated with love and the staff is very lovely. We will definitely come back.
