we were recently on holiday and came across this wonderful little place. The restaurant itself is beautiful especially with the fire oven... the staff were friendly and provided excellent service, and the food? DELICIOUS!!! we tried a few small plates between two and they were all as tasty as the next. would highly recommend, and would love to make it back one day!

Gehobene Küche, ausschließlich auf Feuer zubereitet. Es gibt in der Küche keinen elektrischen Herd. Man kann direkt zusehen, wie das herausragende Essen zubereitet wird. Das gesamte Personal ist überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir hatten zwei Mal das 7 Gänge Menü und einmal die passenden Weine dazu. Jeder Gang wurde mit passendem Wein serviert und wir erhielten zu jedem Gang und Wein eine Erklärung. Mit 55,00 € pro Menü und 25,00 € für die Weine ist es zwar nicht günstig, aber für die Leistung die man erhält eigentlich noch zu günstig. Erlebnisküche auf hohen Niveau. Bei unserem nächsten Besuch in Porto in jedem Fall wieder ein muss.

Not a gourmet restaurant now. They are heading to be that, but on the long way. I recommend to check the food before serving (medium rare macrelle with skin could not be for everyone). Staff and enviroment superb. I wish all the best.

Style: 5/5 Food: 4/5 Service: 3/5 This restaurant has a cool concept: everything is cooked over wood fire - no gas or electric heat. The food is well presented and delicious. Although some of the portions were too small, one meat course was not warm enough. The major criticism is that the cool idea of the wood fire is not transported from the open kitchen to the table. Nothing indicates that your meal was prepares this way. For example could they put a bit coal on your table or when serving a dish present it differently. Service was friendly but not goos enough for the price point. But lets not just focus on the bad as it still was a delicious experience. And since they were brand new when we dined there, they can still learn and improve.

I love it!!!! amazing service, food and decor. it is always hard to be sure about a restaurant quality when you are not from the city but we were lucky enough to get a table. the food was really tasty , amazing flavours and creativity. It is fantastic how they cook everything over wood fire. Definitely a restaurant I would recommend.

Una de las mejores sorpresas que me llevo de Oporto. Un restaurante muy especial, en un entorno agradable, con una propuesta gastronómica excelente. Cocina solo con fuego de leña, buena selección de vinos, y una combinación de sabores que lo convierten en una apuesta segura en Oporto. Y si esto no fuera suficiente, la atención en todo momento por parte del personal me han hecho sentirne como en casa. Habrá que buscar nuevas ocasiones para volver!

We are spending 6 months in Portugal and we love food! We have crossed the road and check out a beautiful restaurant with an amazing stone wall. What a surprise, we found out it was an open kitchen with a lot of FIRE. The food amazing, Wine list could be more extensive but quite good. the girls are so kind. The best experience so far. En pleno mes de febrero, local sin acondicionar, dentro hacia frío, de estar con el abrigo, vamos...Bueno pues pedimos calamar de entrante, muy normalito, y después ciervo y ternera, carne sabrosa y tierna, hecha a la brasa, pero llegó fría, completamente fría, por que hacía frío. Hasta que niños quejamos, no pusieron calefacción, calidad precio pienso que es caro.

fантастика ! Мы были в Порту на долгие выходные, чтобы отпраздновать день рождения нашей дочери. Мы остановились в Infante Sagras и случайно прошли мимо ресторана и увидели отличное меню. Мы пытались забронировать онлайн на ее день рождения, но они были полностью забронированы, но удалось получить бронирование на следующий день. Мы заказали дегустационное меню с вином в очень непринужденной обстановке и обслуживании. Наше любимое блюдо - свиная грудинка, которая была потрясающей. Дегустационное меню составило 65 евро с пакетом серебряных вин по 25 евро. С водой и обслуживанием это стоило 100 евро за голову. Когда я вернусь в Порту, это будет первое бронирование, которое я сделаю. Отлично сработано. Бросился, неуклюжий сервис взял край от действительно превосходной еды Мне очень понравилась атмосфера и очень понравилась по-настоящему фантастическая еда. Но сервису нужно еще больше отполировать: мы чувствовали, что торопимся закончить, с тарелками, очищаемыми до того, как мы все закончили есть. Удивлена неточностью розлива вина тоже. Restaurante muito especial e com oferta diferente do que existe no Porto. Passamos 2 semanas no Porto com familiares e sem duvida que foi o melhor restaurante onde comemos. Tudo muito limpo, ingredientes frescos e alguns fora do comum. Especial atenção por parte dos funcionários, que fazem tudo para nos sentirmos especiais. Um especial Parabéns para toda a equipe de cozinha que nos proporcionou uma noite muito agradável, com comida deliciosa. Voltaremos e recomendamos se estiver pelo Porto.

A modern restaurant where a wood-fired open kitchen sits dominantly in the center. Awesome culinary experience with well thought through dishes are composed with very obvious quality sourced ingredients fitting to the price point. The degustation menu journeyed fearlessly through bold flavours and seasonal produce, nicely balanced with the smoky element and spot-on pairing included surprisingly some of the less common Portuguese wine varieties.

Un restaurante súper agradable. Lo mejor es comer en la barra y ver cómo los cocineros preparan los platos. El servicio es muy muy bueno. Aunque hay pocos platos en la carta todos son de muy buena calidad. Además hay un menú degusta ion a muy buen precio.

I had the best roasted duck I've ever eaten. Very friendly staff, enjoyed the smell of the fire with a view on the kitchen. Wines paired well with the food, would definitely recommend this place!

We got to seat at the counter, and watch the kitchen team at work: how they prepare the freshest products and cook them over the wood fire. Nothing is left to chance, not even the leftovers which are transformed into delicious dishes to waste nothing. The team of waiters provides impeccable service and speaks English, French and Spanish. Great experience.

Alguma expectativa criada antes de visitarmos o local. Optámos pelo menú de degustação e para nossa incrível surpresa, apenas o prato do polvo estava bom porque tinha um sabor bastante peculiar. Todos os restantes pratos eram simplesmente normais. Num restaurante deste calibre espera-se que os sabores se diferenciem em cada prato que é servido e que não saibam a praticamente nada. O serviço é bom. É pena que as roupas fiquem a cheirar a fumo devido à existência do forno a meio da sala e que cujo fumo se propaga por todo o espaço.

Descobri este Restaurante numa plataforma social e gostei, aproveitei a minha ida ao Porto e fui visitar, simplesmente fantastico, desde a chegada, ao menu, cocktail, vinho e menu de degustação. Reparei que para dia de semana de trabalho estavam cheios, sorte ter feito reserva, na chegada foi nos dado boas vindas pela gerente que nos sentou no balcão com vista directa para a cozinha, excelente visto ter sido a nossa primeira experiência assim, pedimos o menu de degustação com uma garrafa de vinhos. Recomendo vivamente.

Infelizmente não posso falar sobre a comida pois chegamos 20 min antes do horário de fechamento e, mesmo com mesas visivelmente vagas, nos disseram estar lotados. Sugiro que se mude o horário de fechamento para mais cedo assim evita-se o estorvo de clientes chegarem próximo ao horário de fechar.

Definitely an A+ dining experience! The staff was warm and accommodating to our two year old daughter. My wife and I opted for the tasting menu which was a home run. The food was well seasoned and executed to perfection. The whole experience was very memorable and easily one our best experiences in Europe. Thanks and keep up the great work!

Do primeiro ao ultimo prato, foi uma viagem de sabores e de pensamentos. Todos os sentidos se ligam para uma experiência super sensorial, os sabores, o cheiro e o calor do fogo, a experiência visual de ver cozinhar mesmo à nossa frente, único e incrível. Adorei o Polvo grelhado com caldo de bonito fumado e algas! Super tenro e uma mistura de sabores do mar com sabores da lenha. Recomendo!

Con: Keine Gerichte für Kinder. Die Auswahl des 65€ „Tasting“ Menüs ist sehr speziell - teils sehr roh - teils sehr fettig. Die Auswahl an Alternativen ist gering. Pro: Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und extrem schnell. Das Ambiente sehr nett. Fazit: Für uns als Familie hat das Essen leider nicht gepasst und das kann leider auch Ambiente und Service nicht kompensieren. Zudem ist der Preis für Porto recht gehoben.

Serveuse très insistante sur le fait que les portions ne sont pas faites pour être partagées et que le vin que j’avais choisi n’était pas le meilleur (sa proposition étant un vin plus cher et pas du tout du même style que celui choisi). Desserts pas terribles. Celui aux fraises des bois ne contenait qu’une demi fraise... En dehors de ça, les entrées et les plats étaient très bons. Le cadre est sympa. Néanmoins trop cher pour ce que c’est.

Aos poucos se descobre que tudo na vida tem como seu estágio final o minimalismo, que é mínimo não pelo fato de ser pouco ou incompleto, mas por ser na verdade a síntese de muitas coisas em algo que se apresenta da forma mais sutil e limpa o possível. O Elemento é uma dessas sínteses na cozinha, uma verdadeira representação dessa essência em estágio máximo . Cozinha ao fogo, ingredientes frescos de excelência e feita por uma equipe sensacional guiada por um chef que como poucos sabe bem o que está a fazer. A experiência de comer no elemento é única e memorável.

O espaço é muito agradável. Sem a densidade de mesa ao lado de mesa de muitos restaurantes da baixa. Permite um jantar relaxado e mais íntimo. Comemos uns ovos de entrada que estavam saborosos especialmente se misturados com um pão caseiro que tb pedimos. O parto foi uma muito saborosa barriga de porco bem acompanhada por uma espécie de tomate, cerejas e pessego. A sobremesa de limão era boa mas com pouca quantidade. O serviço foi simpático, eficiente e rápido. Pagamos aprox 35 por pessoa. Para voltar.

We arrived at 21:00 for our reservation, placed order for appetizers and main course almost immediately. 20 min later appetizers arrived, main course arrived at 22:15 . SLOW KITCHEN. I took a short nap while waiting for our order. Servers were friendly, food was subpar . REALLY SUBPAR. My girlfriend and I got diarrhea even before we left that palce. Interior is nice and interesting. NEVER going back there.

jantar perfeito um excelente restaurante com uma cozinha inovadora, a repetir e a recomendar

We had high expectations for this restaurant but it was a big disappointment. The 7-course menu is if one is honest a 4-course menu accompanied with bread (this is the first restaurant in the world that calls bread with butter a course) with 2 separate appetizers according to every definition in the restaurant world. The dishes are beautifully presented, not really tasteful and our steak was cold inside. The courses are served at a Formula 1 pace (1 of the tables in our neighborhood got 2 courses together) to ensure that each table can be booked twice a night. The portions are ultra small and we also went to eat a waffle after our visit to this restaurant. Our conclusion price-quality exaggerated and we ate better elsewhere in Porto of a higher quality for 50% of the price that we paid. Big plus is the interior but that did not satisfy our hunger. I am shocked because I write an honest, albeit negative, review and then the restaurant owner immediately marks me a fraud. I have therefore a photo on tripadvisor in which my bill is clearly visible and neatly refutes the accusation. I no longer wish to respond thereafter in the belief that the owner sees the mistake he has made.

Wer an der "Bar" einen Platz bekommt, kann im wahrsten Sinne hautnah erleben, mit welcher Hitze hier gearbeitet wird. Das erzeugt neue Aromen und auch mal unerwartete Konsistenzen. Wer nicht gleich in ein Menü investieren will, bekommt auch sehr gute Einzelteller und gute offene Weine (aber schon zu zweit lohnt in der Regel eine Flasche, zudem gibt es dann mehr Auswahl). Kleiner Abzug für die Desserts, aber da wurde schon bei der Bestellung gesagt, dass hier noch experimentiert wird. Das Personal ist motiviert und sehr nett. Reservierung empfohlen!

World class meal at a very fair price. Amazing food, personal service. The best duck beast and pork belly that we’ve ever had. Walked by this place on the way to a well known restaurant recommended by some friends but decided to turn around and go back, and so glad that we did. Great staff, great food and nice wine selection. Everything is cooked over open fire. Had fun to sitting at the bar/chef’s table and watching/talking with the chefs. Didn’t have a chance to tackle the tasting menu but sure that it would please any palate.
